"Entry"
It's not a trade until he sells.
Quick? Simply whatever 'Big'
Because there is often opportunity in stocks that you follow closely. There is wealth in cumulative observations in a well observed ticker.
Did you see Nelson's masterful GV entry yesterday?
That was a "Savvy Trade"
I'll start with the negatives:
* Almost completely dependent on WHO and Obamacare for future success with their lead product.
* Although still the only FDA-approved female condom they are facing
competition from similar products made in India (and elsewhere). Their distributor in Brazil seems plugged into the right decision makers in that country.
The greatest positive is that if Obamacare continues, they have just scratched the surface of the US market. Most people don't know that this product is 100% covered.
The wild card is that the CEO seems determined to find (an)other product(s) to diversify
Providing Obamacare continues, I think the near-term prospects for this company is pretty good.
These FHCO numbers might get some attention: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/female-health-company-reports-second-123000838.html
Evidently, their female condom is covered by Obamacare.
I will sell UVXY tomorrow.
I do not want to hold it into GDP numbers.
In my view building a position up to an FOMC announcement is a high probability trade.
But, holding into GDP #s is a gamble
Started layering into UVXY here
I followed you into PTBI.
How come noone's talking about it on the Bitchin' Board.
I guess your peeps are hoping for lower prices.
The thing I've come to believe about leveraged ETFs in choppy markets is that you have to react rather than anticipate their movements.
During these chop festivals, I typically only play during the 4 to 5 days preceding FOMC. For instance, tomorrow I will be looking at TMV, TBT & UVXY.
Also, I will consider scalping DGAZ around the EIA numbers.
I Bought MTSL yesterday.
Thanks for keeping this thread going
Wish I had the ballz to buy OTCs based on the pincher.
Do you notice any difference between OTCs and Big Boards with respect to pincher techncials?
MCP Dont like what you see?
Thanks for clarifying that your view is based on hourly charts.
I'll watch VXX more closely as we near the next FOMC meeting and especially as we near the May 8 employment report.
Thanks for your warm welcome. The internet needs a place for rational,
risk taking, leveraged ETF traders.
After looking at these charts:
https://www.tradingfloor.com/posts/daily-shot-russia-revives-4333314?utm_medium=tf4-feed&utm_source=extract
I'm not sure there is an easily exploitable edge in shorting Russia
right now. In fact, I think RUSL would be a better play on any 2- or 3-day Brent smackdown.
But, I'm sucker for playing first pullbacks.
sgg22, I Appreciate your contributions here.
Brent is buoyant today. So, I'm holding off on RUSS
Maybe we'll get some sort of tell closer to the end of the trading day.
Jason Bond frontran his followers. I don't believe that is an organic move.
Thanks Wolf,
I appreciate all your doing here.
GOL looks interesting.
Your prolly right about Flood catching that ball.
But ... During his prime, Northrup may have been the best clutch hitter in baseball. Good things just happened for him at the right times.
As for Gibson, he did get rattled that inning. I'll trade you Denny McClain and a utility infielder for him. But, you can't have Lolich.
McCarver's Selective Memory:
I thought about posting OSUR here last week after the 23ANDME news.
But, overall market conditions kept me away.
What adjustments to the pincher strategy do you guys make during bearish phases of the market?
Hey Rock nj,
Thanks for the link to your list. I have a list that includes some tickers not found on your.
Here you go:
BLOZF
OXIS
NMUS
NVGT
CANL
GBLX
NGMC
IGC
SRNA
TAUG
NRTI
IGRW
ENDO
FULL
FWDG
The only one I have looked at recently is NMUS. It has an early stage Glaucoma treatment out-licensed from an academic institution
Thanks for $I. I think currency wars are helping this one push off the bottom. That and they're presenting at 2 conferences next week.
My father ran a used car lot. The salesmen rotated as new customers arrived. All the salesmen knew when it was their turn. My dad sometimes gave away his turn to inflate morale. He always gave away customers who had a Bible in their car.
I've listened to Taylor's podcast. He has a Bible in his car.
Part of why I hate BABA and Ma:
Bot NVTA
EOQP next week.
Genetic testing is warm-to-hot right now.
Bot YY @ 52.81
Earnings on Thursday
I believe it's been just over a year since their last financing:

That's what I'm talkin' about
TY
Its good to see you posting again.
Hey. What's the Chiscam ticker for the company that makes baby formula?
I've read that it's good times right now for western formula makers due
to low milk powder prices.
I empty my left nostril on your zenith console
Bought JUNO @ 44.09
I really like the hourly chart.
I'm trying to confirm that HBO will air a presentation about CAR-T technology. If I could, I would provide a link.
Interloper,
Thanks very much for posting SBY. I'm quite sure that one would not have come up on my radar any other way.
Cheers,
Dan
When a poster is as giving as DA (in an endeavor where being able to change your mind often is a virtue), calling him out is unnecessary and IMO an act of picayune prickery.
I like the look of that chart for a potential short.
Are there potential catalysts?
Edit. I think market direction has to be at your back.
Here's a blog entry about the upcoming AAPL earnings that you guys might find interesting:
http://www.fscomeau.com/31200-calls-apple/
The upcoming spinout of Paypal is a factor to consider.
In a bullish market, that would be a tradeable catalyst.
PFIE is relatively strong. Yesterday, The Guardian reported that Obama would focus on methane reduction in the State of the Union Address.
Went Short & Covered pre-market. Would short again above 10
Here's a catalyst play you might like. PFIE on this:

I saw your post over SA regarding PFIE and thought you might be interested in this:
