8 products is pretty impressive for a company that was less than 20 people when he became CEO.. Lol. And of course, many more in the works.
Yeah shame on JT. Guess he should've somehow started work on NDAs/ANDAs with Elite before he was hired in 2009. LOL. Keep trying.
Oh okay. By a few years you mean 18 months. Lol.
Alternate action WAS taken, hence the 8 new products.. LOL
Couldn't be more wrong.
Really is that simple!
I think a lot of factors have contributed to the decline of the PPS. Some of these factors, in my opinion, include the overhang of the default notice (which management has admitted is being taken care of between the bondholders), the additional shares (which, if fully diluted, would bring in many more products and millions of dollars to Elite), simply being on this OTC exchange (possible manipulation), and the removal of their main revenue source ~2 years ago (7 products added since then, soon to be 8 products with Naltrexone), and lack of positive cash flow (which may already be resolved per this quarter's results).
There aren't many turnaround stories but I truly believe Elite will be one of them. I've bet thousands and thousands of dollars on it. Jerry Treppel the CEO of Elite has bet over $1,000,000 on it.
Yes Drugdoctor, companies do not typically add employees if they are shrinking.
The growth is evident. Ready for August CC.
......
JT has been there for 4 years.
Since Lodrane was pulled, it has taken about 2 years to regain cash flow positive status.
You don't add 2 years, its all contained within his time with Elite.
Very very simple math.
Lol more trouble on the horizon for the competition, looks like!
Thanks AMA! Will be a nice addition to Elite's portfolio.
Great post Hike. That seems like a reasonable assessment, and hopefully more conservative than what will actually occur.
P.S. Does anyone know any IMS numbers for Naltrexone?
Yessir! Good luck to you! Its obvious that monumental events are building from behind the scenes of Elite. You're right, there will come a day when we wake up and see ELTP exploding upward in price. Holding until that happens.
Still confused why best quarterly revenue ever is "bad" ?
Waiting longer on Novel gets us a larger payout from our investment as they are rapidly growing. 0 products when we invested, 30+ currently.
Wrong, Treppel stated its valued more than the initial investment. All one has to do is listen to the most recent conference call.
Not sure what ELTP failures you're referring to. Remarkable turnaround since Treppel became CEO.
Seems on target to me! Huge development if so.
Figured I'd examine some of the "transparency" bestowed upon us.
--current API supplier for phentermine has reduced its cost thus increasing profitability and making product more competitive. New information; no link provided; last word from Elite was that API was provided as a significant or substantial increase in price. *Of course there isn't a link provided. This information was just verbally given days ago in the conference call and was stated by executives of Elite. All one has to do is replay the conference call.*
--approving additional sources of API may increase profits further; it probably would if the API costs less that currently paid. *Refer to the above point. API costs going forward will be cheaper, as indicated by Elite executives.*
--Novel Labs adds to Elites value estimates for Novel's value range from 10 to 50 million dollars CEO admits value is worth more than their initial investment . CEO may be expressing his own opinion but does not know the value or worth of the shares. *With the tax returns provided to Elite by Novel, I'd say the CEO has a PREETTTTYYYYY good idea of what Novel is worth and its obvious to everyone here that the worth of the investment is more than what was originally paid if the company has gone from 0 products to 30+ products being sold.*
--TWO 15,000 sq/ft FDA-DEA-cGMP registered manufacturing labs for research, development and manufacturing from concept to commercialization. Two facilities for the product of one. *Simply an opinion. Obviously with a gain of 7 products in about 2 years, production will increase and additional space is warranted. Growing companies typically expand, do they not?*
--29 employees double of two years ago. Probably doubling the cost of revenues as well but not doubling the products from two years ago. *True, not doubling the products from 2 years ago. More like 7 times the products from 2 years ago.*
--phentermine 15 & 30mg launched (April 11, 2013) is competing with Qsymia(phentermine and topiramate). Okay, Elite’s products comes at a higher costs owing to the lack of API that delays launch of products by 2-3 quarters; Elite is not the only competitor. *It wasn't stated that Elite was the only competitor. API costs will be cheaper going forward, refer to above points on API costs.*
--The Company expects their first commercially scaled-up, abuse-resistant opioid(twice daily) product to enter human pilot studies late calendar 2013, Work has also been conducted on another abuse-resistant opioid product(once/day); Has anyone seen an announcement Food and Drug Administration will allow it to start human trials of an experimental product that is intended to treat? *...wait, what?*
--4th quarter 2013 1.5 million in revenues best in co. history. No ones fault by Elite's if in its 30 years of existence it could not do better. *Sure, it isn't the FDA's fault for removing their only products from market. Yeah, that makes sense, since the FDA is the one who issued the order to remove these and 490+ other products from the market. Also, somehow the best revenues in the history of the company..... is a bad thing?*
Thats a pretty cool chart man! Nice work. And yes, I definitely expect us to keep reporting better and better quarters. Excited to already be in for the ride! GLTU
Good post Hike. I think we all know what happens when you Google "also ran patent". LOLOL
But yes, Elite is turning the corner. Highest revenue in a quarter for the company without either of the new Phentermine dosages OR Naltrexone. FACTS are FACTS.
P.S. I love the ignore function of iHub. ;)
Yep thats what I heard. Lots of irons in the fire though.
Yeah this is my thinking also. The ANDA completely owned by Elite and pending approval, right?
That's probably true. I wonder if we'll see the re-negotiated API cost show up on these next upcoming financials or later on.
Not a bad list of questions AMA. I'd also like to ask something along the lines of:
"I know you've said before that there is a plan that has been proposed to the bondholders about paying off the debt. My question is, if the Novel investment was sold for, say, $15 million or more, would you use some of those proceeds to completely pay the debt off in its entirety?"
Yep great post. I think it has taken longer than we had all hoped for Elite to come into its own, but it is very obviously happening now. Novel will sell for quite a large sum, which can then be used for trials and paying off the debt in its entirety. By that time the company will probably not need to incur any more debt as they have in the past. And an announcement either in a PR and/or CC of abuse-resistant trials starting this year will be huge, in my opinion. Thanks for all the DD from most of you, much appreciated. Good luck to us all. I see this investment growing by leaps and bounds within the next few years.
Why have you continued to buy all the way down then if you "know" your investment will be 1/2 to 1/3 its initial worth?
You will just try and get back to break-even? Might as well let it ride, you've held on this long. The more time that passes, the more secure the company will become and that will ultimately be reflected in the share price. I think all of the lack of attention we've gotten for the past few years will be exactly the reason that this stock will explode upwards. When everyone finally realizes what quiet old Elite has been up to... soon to be 8 launched drugs, cash flow positive, in trials or soon to be for abuse resistant products, growing investment in Novel... really is a hidden gem in my opinion.
But, its whatever lets you sleep at night. If .125 is your price, sell once we return to it!
But still haven't sold so you believe its going higher, period end of story.
Actually that WAS one of your claims.
What's up boys. Anyone wanna update me? Haven't read the board the past few weeks. Patent news expected this week?
15% of the Lodranes was what, ~3-4 million annually?
Still haven't sold your shares? Good call. And yes I agree, we're definitely going higher in pps.
Lol. Kinda hard to make any interest if your investment falls to zero. I wonder why he isn't worried about BK... HMM.
I was wondering as well... Never heard of it.
This question has been answered multiple times in prior posts. Thanks.

I quoted you. You didn't say "PPS counts", you said "A company is its pps" which is incorrect. If someone goes to a car dealership and buys a brand new car at sticker price without negotiating at all, does that make their car worth any more than the next person who goes in and negotiates $2000-4000 off the same car's sticker price? Is the car's inherent worth any different? It's what people are willing to pay for it. Does that mean what a stock is trading at is necessarily what it's actually worth? Of course not, in this case, especially. Upcoming catalysts and growth potential will obviously dictate a higher price.
"A company is its pps." Lol!! Couldn't be more wrong.
Still invested I see! Congrats, same here. I agree, this stock is headed up. Up as in a higher price per share so as to avoid any confusion.
