Friday: 10/12/12. Interesting close. Did anybody else notice the rapid buying in the last 2 minutes which jacked up the price? Interesting. I wonder if whomever bought those shares heard any news.
FORTISGR: My humble apologies. I was VERY wrong and I apologize. Here is the post that I was talking about:
"Earnings release date is Nov. 26th as per Google finance. Although its strange that there was no official announcement but if you look at the earning relase date in google finance, its showing Nov. 26. Same in Yahoo finance. Any thoughts/comments. How do you think the financials will look? "
It was from ForgetLogic. This post is still on the board if anyone cares to look.
I'm not out to accuse or disparage anybody here. Let's just all get along. We all want this company to succeed and we all want to make money.
Again, I apologize to FORTISGR.
Well said. The lack of substantial volume every day continues to worry me the most. As you implied, the investment community doesn't seems to care anymore about SGOC. It is incumbent of the company to get out front and issue some positive news. Unless, that is, there is no positive news to issue; which does not bode well for all of us. FORTISGR said that their earnings are due on November 26. I'm thinking of selling now (at a substantial loss) and reinvesting in some other good stocks in the meantime; at least the money will grow instead of just sitting there like now.
Then around Nov. 15 perhaps get back in and hope that the earnings are positive. Haven't decided yet though.
Nice start today in both price and volume. Everybody hold; hopefully this is a harbinger of positive things to come.
Who knows what will be in the earnings reports? I certainly don't. How could anyone know?
But I'm getting a little worried about the price dropping little by little almost every day. Frankly, if I didn't have such a large stake in this company, I would get out.
Haven't heard from FORTISGR in a while - wonder what his thoughts on the earnings will be.
Do you think the earnings will cover only the 1Q of 2012, both 1Q and 2Q or all three quarters?
If only 1st quarter, then why not release them now?
Any thoughts?
Maybe I'm wrong but . . . watching the trading over the past 2 weeks, I'm getting the feeling that someone (or more than someone) is trying to push the stock price down, little by little. Could it be shorters? Market makers? Insiders from the company?
Also: does anyone think we might get an earnings report sometime in October?
Thanks Fortis. Music to my ears AND my IRA.
Until I see earnings, I'm still a little skeptical. What gives me a little hope is that every day, the "ask" seems to increase a little bit. But, by the end of the day the stock doesn't seem to advance much. Is it safe to imply that all of us are waiting for some tangible news?
I was surprised also. I've heard or seen nothing about quarterly earnings releases. That's why I'm still a lot worried about holding this stock. But since I'm down $$ quite a bit, I watch it closely every day and will probably sell as soon as I get close to what I paid for it.
You might try to email them (check their website). I did but received no response.
Jeez - I hope not below $1. Like I said, I can't figure it out: low volume, wild bid/ask spreads. Would love to know who's buying and who's selling and what their motive is.
Speculators?
Market Movers?
don't know
Agree. and it is all over the place again today. I can't figure it out. The low volume also bothers me a bit. I'm getting a little antsy again.
Point made. Thank you for your honesty.
Even though I'm in at over $2.00+, does anyone want to advise as to whether they are buying more at the current price(s)? In other words, does anyone think we have established a foundation around $1.50 and this might be a good time to get back in?
Also, any speculation(s) as to how high it could go??
It seemeth to me it is recovering. GO SGOC!!!
Just saw a bid for .66. What's that all about? Is someone trying to take down the price?
Good luck to everyone. I'm in long. Been waiting for this for a long time.
Form 6-K just posted. Not quite sure of its signifcance.
Anybody have ideas?
Thanks.
I received a press release in my email today. Did you get one? If not, I'll post the contents. It looks pretty positive.
Does NASDAQ have some of protocol, or schedule that is locatable on their website to inform shareholders that a stock they halted will be trading again by such and such date?
I'm guessing no, doesn't hurt to ask.
So, are you reading this as good news? It sounds like it.
What do you think NASDAQ's next move will be?
I'm hoping along with you guys that we get some news. I wrote an email to the "contact us" link on their website two weeks ago but have heard nothing, nada, zip. But, I'm also glad that NASDAQ has been quiet (so far). I think it is safe to say that we have some big $$ in this stock, so a delisting would be quite depressing.
Keeping fingers crossed.
sorry to cut in here. I've been away. What's happened to this stock, My schwab acct, says it has ceased trading. Has the SEC stopped it? Or is it bankrupt?
Hey everyone. I was in an accident and have been unable to post; but i'm back, albeit typing w/one hand.
When i opened my Schwas account this a.m. i discovered that they had removed my entire SGOC balance from my account. They said that was because NASDAQ had stopped trading SGOC. When trading resumes, the $$ will be reposted. It still gave me no small scare.
Everybody might want to check their own traders about this issue.
So I guess we just sit back and hope the new auditors report good news. not much other choice, eh?
I'll call just as soon as I get the question list and phone number(s) from Fortis . . .???
I trade with STreetsmart, through Schwab.
Has anyone noticed that since the stock was halted, there have been a couple of days were "volume" was 500 shares, and today, 1000 shares. If the stock has been halted, where did these volumes come from? Just curious.
thanks birdman - I see you believe in the Dude: the dude abides
OK - let's not try to put too much pressure on Fortis. He may have stepped out a little while. We all know he wants success for SGOC like the rest of us. Give him some time. Heck, he may be preparing the questions for me and has discovered that the list is gonna be a long one.
I do too - I have a lot invested in this company. But at this point, even though I would prefer good news, I'll take ANY news; the company is being TOO quiet for me.
I live in NJ also, but will be out of town that day. Would appreciate some notes that you might take from the meeting and posting them on IHUB.
Fortis:
I'm in the USA (New York). I'm at work today and won't be able to make any phone calls like that, BUT, I'm off for a few days this week and I promise I will make the calls from home if you will post to me all the possible phone numbers to call AND, most important, a list of questions you wish me to ask of whomever answers the phone. I will then post the questions AND the answers on IHUB.
Looking forward to your response
Here is Grant Thornton's website, for what it's worth.

doesn't seem (on appearances) to imply crookedness.
So, it could mean that Grant Thornton themselves smelled a rat at SGOC and bailed. If so, that's really bad news.
Who knows . . .
hmmmmm - Is Grant Thornton a crook? That seems to be the implication here, unless I'm reading it wrong. Of course we are speculating but perhaps more research is appropriate. Where to look?
BTW: Apologies for my last post. I congratulated FortisGR but I should have congratulated YOU for your due diligence.
Keeping my fingers crossed on this one.
keep up the good work Fortis - you give me a little hope (not a criticism)
Let's hope your 3rd paragraph turns out to be reality.
The 4th paragraph made me groan again :(
I'm with you in spirit Logical but, the issue most of us have is whether is WILL it in fact begin trading again?
If it does, then I'll bail at the first chance (I smell a rat here anywhere) and take my losses like a man.
But if it doesn't trade again, we're in pretty deep doo-doo.
Interesting find there Fortis . . . good due diligence. Not sure what it means or its implications for us are, other than the fact that SGOC has done this before (or had it happen to them before) without affecting its business.
Right. All we can hope is that the company's products are great and that after all this kerfuffle, they will be back in business, successfully, and trading their shares again.
What's the alternative? More vodka?
I'm trying to stay as calm as I can; hard to do. My inner "Nietzche" says that it is out of my hands and I can do nothing about it. If we're screwed, then we're screwed.
When you say "D-listed" does that mean we'll never get a chance to trade it again? I don't know these things.
I'm a happily married _____ (let's keep the mystery)
I like your style Fortis - I earnestly hope you're right. Drinking vodka every night is bad for me.
RIGHT ON - YOU DA MAN!
