Ahhh, sweet Dial-up relief.
Heads up, Lucy, a couple of those numbers that are a part of the now incomplete float calculation are wrong, in view of newer filings.
You should pull those numbers down, so no one is misled.
Regards
DJ won't be racing all those races
He has prior commitments with the Canadian Tire Series races, like DD pointed out.
Regards
Actually, that's Macdonald Motorsports' schedule.
DJ isn't scheduled to run all the Nationwide races; of course, Macdonald hasn't announced any other driver for his team yet, but I got this off of DJ Kennington's site:
The 2008 season looks to be a promising one as MacDonald Motorsports plans on running the entire season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. I will have to miss a few races due to my commitments up North but will still race in nearly 30 races this year.
Regards
.0220 x .0235, .0220 last 66K vol
Pretty anemic volume.
On the plus side, in 3 to 5 weeks, we are due to hear about:
1) 4Q2007 and FY2007 audited results
2) Two catalogs which will carry select STP items
3) Two different retailers that will have STP tools and accessories on the shelf
4) Conventional financing
Any of these items could come at any time now, actually, even the 10KSB. They did hire a full time CFO. Wouldn't it be a pleasant surprise if they filed before the deadline?
Regards
They intend to run all of the Nationwide races
And Bristol is rather important; they need to pick up a couple of owner's points places to make it into the top 30. That's one of their goals for the year. Top 30 in owner's points is a Big Deal in the Nationwide series, it's like a free pass on qualifying for subsequent races.
I don't think Mahindra would be happy either, if they skipped Bristol; Mahindra is the title sponsor for the race.
Regards
So, did anyone watch the race?
What happened to #81 Mahindra Tractor Dodge? DJ wasn't involved in any cautions from what I've read, but when I checked out the Live Leaderboard at nascar.com, he was down 1 lap after 2 laps of the race, and finished down 22 laps at the end.
Was it engine? Handling? Tires?
This weekend's Bristol race is pretty big and DJ needs to put in a really good showing. They are currently around 32nd in owner points. Finishing the first 5 races in the top 30 would set them up to be auto-qualified for the remaining races.
The Pressure is On!
Regards
I did some adding up of the sources
with the IBox hidden, the page
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=4344
is about 10K bytes to load. With the IBox shown, it balloons to around 1000K bytes (roughly a megabyte), a factor of 100. The stockchart is responsible for about 1/4 of that, and because it is not cached (reloads each time you hit the main page), it is the major bandwidth hog.
Check out AMD's IBox:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=430
Why is it that IBox size seems inversely proportional to stock price?
Hey, maybe we should test the relationship. Pare back the IBox, and see if the stock price rises...
Regards
Why not make it a survey, Lucy?
I have a feeling most don't care one way or another, because they have the IBox turned off (even if you're on broadband, do you really like scrolling past the IBox every time?).
This board needs a good survey. Go for it, Lucy!
Regards
I just turned on the IBox
and load timed it. I gave up after 8 minutes, and all of the pics still hadn't completely loaded.
If you're looking to attract new investors, you might consider putting your IBox on a diet, at least for dial-up users' sake.
Regards
I pity the poor dial-up customer that happens
upon CHDT's IHub IBox.
Why does CHDT need a stock promoter again? I thought they were done using their stock for financing.
Conventional financing is right around the corner, right? CHDT should focus their energies on promoting their products, not their stock.
Agoracom is a good front for bad companies. XYBR and ADZR are two that spring to mind. Check out some of their other beauties.
CHDT should have nothing to do with them.
Regards
No, Jane Klein
She's the company IR person.

They already have an Investor Relations person
or do you mean a Stock Promotion company? Does CHDT really need to go down that route?
I think CHDT handles Investor Relations just fine. They need to concentrate more on delivery of promised products, retailers, revenue growth, and profits.
The stock price will follow their execution accordingly.
Regards
Yes, it does exist
google laptop battery booster, or words to that effect. You should find a good selection of products.
Regards
No I think it's DJ
He probably needs some new parts after his intimate encounters with the wall last weekend.
Bart thus far has held his sells at or above .025.
If it is Bart, we'll know soon enough.
Regards
Well, it's the Silicate electrolyte
batteries that aren't available until Summer, DD, not the lithium batteries. By the way, I think the lithium batteries already have a trademark for them in process: Power Axis.
But, that brings up another possibility: They might be bringing out a lithium battery version of the Eco-Friendly Jumpstarter.
That trademark would fit that kind of product.
Regards
Well, the application is in
It may make it through to registration, or not. Remember 'Simply Comfort' was originally going to be trademarked 'Sound Body'.
They can go ahead with the announcement like they did for the S.C. products.
Regards
Let me say this about that
Here's what we know: CHDT has an intent to use the trademark "Lithium To Go" in some form of commerce.
It could well be the unannounced soon to be new OBS PC related product.
It could have something to do with the already announced STP tool line. I place a lower probability on this; it just doesn't seem to fit to me. Lithium to go? Where are your tools going? Is someone about to steal them out of your pickup truck?
Getting a patent is an arduous, expensive process. I don't see CHDT going down that route; there are plenty of ideas they can exploit without getting patent protection.
Regards
Yeah, it takes a long time to get through the process
but it still can give us a hint as to the direction of CHDT.
Did you ever go on your mystery shopping trip to Target/Walmart to see if the book lights are still on display for sale?
Regards
Oooh, Lithium to Go
If it's not related to the STP power tools, this could be a hint to the new OBS PC-related consumer product.
Something like a lithium back up power source for your laptop.
Instead of having to plug in your laptop to the wall charger, or carry another laptop battery, you plug your laptop into this thing, and it charges/provides power to your laptop.
Could be.
Regards
If I were, I'd have Lucy's private email address
Do I? <checking....> Nope, I don't.
I'm sure you just made Lucy laugh out loud in derision.
Regards
Lithium to Go
New trademark application. This message board could use some right now. wink wink

to spot the STP tools being advertised at one of the CSK Auto locations (if indeed CSK Auto is the one).

Smarthome doing their job
Since I've bought from them before, they send me lots of email ads.
Just got this one:
http://www.smarthome.com/0800303.html
Regards
Given that they outsource design and manufacture
I have a hard time believing it can be really 'unique'.
I would point out that an MP3 player with Capstone's label on it would qualify for 'nothing else like it on the market'. That is, there currently are no MP3 players from Capstone/CHDT on the market.
Regards
DD, more on the extra STP tools
Going back to the last PR where they announced "Capstone launched 35 STP products (in prototype and mockup form) in November and currently has 60 products in various finishing stages."
If you zoom this picture:
I think I see a jig saw and what looks like an impact driver tool. Those tools haven't appeared on the web site yet.
Also, the Jumpstarter is back on the web site, under Portable Power, Inverters. It doesn't belong there, though, it doesn't operate as an Inverter.

It's mostly on ESPN2
but the Talladega race will be on ABC.

Regards
You'll want to watch on Saturdays
#81 DJ Kennington/Macdonald Motorsports run in the Nationwide series, not the Nextel Cup races.
Your best bet to see the logo will come during the Talladega race on April 26th, when STPtools.com will be the title sponsor again.
Regards
That's a shame, Lucy
The only truth you need is in the filings.
Everything else is fluff. Ultimately, this company will be valued on fundamentals. The filings tell you the fundamentals.
Anything else is a trading opportunity, and I know you have declared CHDO.OB a strong buy and hold, not a trader.
Regards
Both the Tune shades and the back massager
are currently showing only 4 left in stock at Smarthome.com. The other two SKUs are showing 'in stock'.
Regards
One different product auto retailers might be
asking for would be a cordless grinder, in place of the cordless circular saw.
Also, maybe a cordless impact driver, those are quite useful.
A cordless polisher (not that detail sander thing).
Just my view of what an auto parts retailer might be interested in.
Regards
Well, private labeling would mean taking
off the STP logo, right? I don't see them going down that route at this point.
Regards
Would you count the Jumpstart
and the Jumpstart plus tire inflater as two of the original 35 products or as two of the 60 products in various finishing stages?
Regards
You sure that's not 60 total?
Could be read either way, I guess. I wonder if they'll prune off the non-interesting products (I gather the potential retailers have different ideas about what kind of STP tools they want to sell).
My main worry at this point would be they are spreading their resources too thin on way too many potential products.
Regards
I don't think it's Bart
for two reasons:
1) I show only 188K in volume. Bart likes higher volume days, and is partial to selling 100K chunks at a time.
2) So far, Bart has held his sells at or above .025; I don't think he is interested in cutting his own profits by dumping below that.
Actually, I know why the stock has sagged, with almost 100% certainty. Consider the follow exchange of posts just one week ago (post-reply-reply):

In September 2007, the Company issued 19,470,588 shares of common stock for cash of $331,000.
===
That list doesn't include any dilution from October-December 2007, and we know there were some PP sales in that period.
Now, certainly, this dilution is a small fraction of the O/S, and it was important to the ongoing operations of the company, but I don't think you can say 'virtually non-existent'.
This company has had to dilute from time to time to meet operating expenses.

If you want a faux STP drill
you can still buy one off of Ebay. I wouldn't advise it, though. That drill is junk.

I think Macdonald Motorsports will be 23rd
or so in points after DJ's 26th place showing. That's good (their goal is top 30 for the season).
So far, so good.
He's subject to the Dribble Out rule
Looking at his past filings, he seems to favor 100K chunks. I have him at 965K shares of selling during this Dribble Out phase.
That means he potentially could sell another 4.6M or so through April 3rd, should he feel the need.
So far, he has kept his selling at or above .025 per share.
Good call on Talladega. I think they should go for the July 4th Daytona race too.
It's only money, and the financing is just around the corner!
It is, right?
