Q & A from Building Q
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why should I hire a licensing consultant?
Licensing is a business of relationships. Over the years, Building Q has formed meaningful relationships with the licensors with whom you would want to work. Building Q and its staff has worked with almost every licensing organization, and continues to have excellent relationships with them. This door-opening ability provides our clients with an inside track to success.
How is Building Q compensated?
Building Q is compensated in two ways. Our clients pay a monthly retainer that acts as a draw against earned commissions - Building Q earns a 1% — 2% commission on sales of your licensed products. On occasion Building Q is employed on a project basis for that licensee not interested in building a program, but rather is looking for one license to help build their business.
What if you are already representing someone within my product category?
We do not represent more than one client in any product category. We deal in confidential information and make strategic recommendations. It would be inappropriate to be working at cross-purposes with the manufacturers we advise.
What does Building Q stand for?
Truth, justice and the American way. No really, the company’s roots lie within an office complex in Cherry Hill, NJ where our first home was actually in "Building Q". Woody thought it was a more catchy and hip name for the company than "Woody Browne and Associates."
When is the right time to secure a license?
Timing is always a sensitive issue. It is very unique to your business. Specific trade introduction windows limit some manufacturers; others are limited by long import lead times. The timing on the decision to commit to a license is also an open issue. Competition and confidence are two key components.
If we retain Building Q, how long will it take to secure a license?
Timing here is not an issue, strategy is. There are far more licenses available than manufacturers, or shelf space for that matter. We can get you a license tomorrow. The real question is how long will it take to find the right opportunity for you, your category, and your marketing needs – and that question can’t be answered in general terms.

BARRINGTON
For die-hard Phillies fans, Eternal Image is pitching the promise of everlasting baseball.
The Michigan-based maker of urns and caskets is rolling out the first licensed products in the funeral supply industry.
"I got the feeling Major League Baseball had wanted to do something like this for a long time," said Clint Mytych, Eternal Image president. "People have been draping jerseys over caskets for years."
In addition to MLB, Eternal Image has inked deals with the Vatican Library and Precious Moments, the maker of sentimental figurines. On the growing pet funeral front, the company is licensed by the American Kennel Club. An agreement with the Cat Fanciers Association is a whisker away.
At P&J Cooper Supply, a regional purveyor of funeral vaults and urns on Atlantic Avenue here, the baseball line already is a home run.
"We had three different orders -- in advance," said Beth Cooper, vice president. "We've been in business since 1971 and that has never happened before."
P&J Cooper supplies funeral homes from New York City to Baltimore. The company started carrying the Eternal Image line after the staff was inundated by requests from funeral directors who attended a trade show in Philadelphia.
So far, the most requested urns are for Phillies fans, followed by those who want to spend eternity in Yankee pinstripes. The trademark red urns, with the team's Liberty Bell insignia, go on the market April 2, the opening day of baseball season.
Mytych, a 26-year-old muscle car enthusiast, said his initial ambition for Eternal Image was to license such concepts as Mustang urns and Corvette caskets.
He hired Woodrow Browne of Building Q, a licensing agent in Haddonfield, to go after brands.
"The Vatican was a natural," Mytych said. "There are 3 billion Catholics in the world."
Automakers weren't interested. But Precious Moments was eager to come on board, designing a line of bereavement figures. In the deal with the Vatican, a portion of the profits will go to the church library in Rome.
Cooper said she doesn't expect the Vatican urns to sell as well as the baseball urns because Catholics are more likely to choose burial over cremation. But interest is strong in the Precious Moments line, in which a statue of a childlike angel is mounted atop the urn.
"As sad as it is to think of, no one has filled the cremation niche for infants and children," she said.
Baseball urns are die-cast in aluminum with a hydrographic coating and mounted on a base shaped like home plate with a somber black border. The urn comes with a baseball that can be set in the dome or replaced with a special ball collected by the deceased. The suggested price: $699.
"They're priced in the mid-range of urns," Cooper said.
Eternal Image is introducing the Major League urns in stages. Other cities in the initial launch include: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles and St. Louis. The other 22 teams will be added by the end of 2008.
A line of caskets for baseball fans will be introduced in September, in time for the pennant race, with Vatican and Precious Moments caskets to follow.

GREAT Article JP,

HI Fivestar,
Did your cat become a daddy tonight?
Superbee is right. Don't believe any one person for your discision on buying ETIM. There is plenty of information out there. If you have a question and we can't answer it and you can't find it in the PR or in the info, box, email the company or the investor relation firm. Their numbers are in the info. box. or you can get it from there web site. www.eternalimage.net. They are fairly quick on getting back to you,
You have to do your own DD. I think you'll like what you see and learn.
Good Luck
Pete
OT:
I've also have scottrade. What I do is pay $15:00 fee to wire transfer and it gets there and posted to your account with 4-5 hours. I've also had it done in 2 hours.
Hope this helps
Pete
Yes, Welcome
OT:
I agree
, you never know when they might PR something. I also agree about picking up some free share also. I got some last week, but I also was on pins and needles too. There is a chance you might not get what you want.
But, life is full of chances. It was just a chance and luck that I found ETIM to begin with.
Pete
OT:
I meant for those that did. Sorry
OT: People take a huge chance doing this IMO. If we got a PR after they sold, and the price went up, they would be paying more then .0039 to get back in. But it worked out for you and that's great. Everyone has differant trading ways.
At least they did get back in. Everyone knows the potential of this stock.
Pete
I'm not worried one bit. I kind of figured it will come down today with people taking profits, we climbed 6 pps yesterday. We are good to go, IMO
Pete
I just read the same thing:
By the end of March we should be trading at .008 to .01
Pete
OT: I agree with that, MrSparks
Yes, But more important is that your okay.
We need every one here, so every one will share the prize.
WE ALL WILL SOON.
Pete
Welcome back.
IMO: We need a meatty PR
I like it when it goes north, not south
Pete
bid .0037, Ask .0038
Moving up
Thankyou,
I agree. One person is not going to lower the pps. People were just taking some profits. We climbed a pretty good bit yesterday. We'll be okay.
Pete
All he/she wants is attention, and he's getting it. Please don't respond.
