The painters have already framed today's work.
And conversation in a chat room helps somehow?
If you want to do year-end tax selling, now it the time.
Guess you finally covered your short position and don't want to chance doing it again.......
When Jim Cramer says - 'hey, this is undervalued - buy', he will have already heard about the stock and already loaded up so he can sell into the increased pps.
Personally, I have no problem waiting. You might have heard stories from friends about how they were driving to a destination, thought they had gone too far, turned around to go back a good way for directions only to discovered their turn was the next one on the right from where they turned around. I know it sounds silly, but I'm not going back to get directions..... regardless of how things turn out. Don't want to be that nose picker.
Hang in there. It's possible things will change sooner than one thinks. Alot depends on the number of shares and the details of the deal so there might be more involved. This market will squash all stocks right now if the deal isn't structured to protect the investor.
It's possible we might see a market jump soon and your stock might be included. There is alot of economic stimulus hitting us every day and at some point we all might see a bottom and people bringing money back into the stock market. Trillions sitting on the sidelines waiting.
Too bad, very few are selling - the shorts can't cover. lol
another nervous day for them.
doesn't all this rhetoric make anyone wonder, why is this person here at all. To follow YOUR advise - get out of your position completely and leave. There are so many more productive things to do. As an all seeing, all knowing pschae - why aren't you out saving others somewhere else or introducing others to newly found jewels? Tell us, where is YOUR money. Haven't you done everything you can here and it's time to move on? I don't need to hear it.
First rule of trading:
Cash preservation.
If you feel it's going down the toliet, why 'discuss' it on a blog. Sell, save your equity for another day, another stock.
If you are a short, your conversation isn't moving the market.
With the # of shares trading this low (forever), there is no market focus on this stock. More of a 'cult' stock than mainstream stock.
People that have a position might be bailing for cash and the tax loss. Some might believe they can wait a month and get back in, if interested, at a lower price. Some might just be selling some to cover margin calls as we see in the market every day.
So if one thinks they might have a 'secret' method of trading this stock - there really aren't any secrets. If you don't like the stock and think it's an all time loser - can't figure out why you haven't left yet. The shorts will keep whining to get a few who might be reading to sell from 'panic'. The result is extremely low volume, every day. Overall, there really aren't enough people watching to make any real difference in any direction long term. If the company does succeed one day, it won't be from a chat room, it will be from the board room. So the questions are: Why...., what are you.... and how long can you wait. Fill in some of the dots.
Something before the end of the year would make our Christmas.IMO Would for me. It's difficult to watch this market right now and would enjoy the lift for those involved with this stock. And especially for the docs. You can imagine after all their hard work.
we need more than 200 investors handing shares to each other. major news........ people will be very interested. new investors. think about it - where are they going to find the shares when an announcement regarding product(s), a plan to bring it/them to market and money agreements happen?
LOL!!!! I can't help it.... sorry. Congress proposes the spending folks. If McCain won, the Democrat Congress would have the power to get it through because it would have Republican votes to eliminate the veto some might fear. Creationism has zero to do with it. Besides, he isn't opposed to AIDS research. THAT is absurd.
Actually, this President has committed more money to AIDS research than any in history. He just doesn't know how to talk so people would know. Even former President Clinton praises him for it. So what we see is whatever the media or his enemies tell us.
Whatever the outcome of the election, the federal committment for AIDS should actually increase again, imo. There are government agencies working to find the drug that actually works, not the cocktails that are expensive, toxic and ineffective. They have talked about getting rid of the failed drugs they currently fund. The Congress will be overwhelmingly liberal and won't have to talk to the other side. So, their lobbyists will be knocking on their door to get the federal funds that are routinely handed out. The players might change somewhat, but the money game just goes through different hands.
and then the message printed twice so edited it for this sentence.
i only have ubss at .76 and nite at .75 bid -

It's there, has no internet link attached.
Form REGDEX Nanoviricides on the news on Schwab.
look at some of the links above. copy them, send. if you don't like ihub, the info upstairs here should help vs. the gab.
Agreed, the doc's efforts are quite 'cheeky'. I think that's British. Good job D/FG! In this environment, how can anyone anticipate a rocket to the moon right now. I, like many others, believe it's the right science and no matter which company is bringing a product to market, it takes time. I'm more than willing to wait. IMO.
It is interesting to see how some think the pps should be skyrocketing while the rest of the market is undergoing a major correction. One might consider that some are forced to sell due to margin calls on other stocks and will be back. Cash is king right now for many. I believe in cash plus have a position here. When the market turns, not to far in the future, I'll be ready for it.
I have to add - what right thinking CEO would release price effecting news in this market. If the plan is continuing on schedule, as I believe it is, or even with additions, modifications or delays to the time frames or inking deals (which must pass the attorney test, which could take a long time), why get hammered by this market? If companies were fighting over who gets access to the science to bring product to market - even on a fast track - why say anything in this market. Personally, I would continue the progress and wait until the 'bailout package' is completed and signed. The market will surge, for who knows how long, and people would be looking to invest in something with long term, high valuation potential. I would have to think that somewhere in this, a great marketing piece would be needed to 'introduce' the company and product candidates to the masses, professional and novice. This is a biotech company that has a novel approach and will be 'discovered' as the progress is revealed. And the initial big pharma collaboration will be the 'FIRST' actual confirmation of this company. Maybe we should be wearing a neck brace each morning until it happens and for some days afterward. imo
Jordan 92 - wow, excellent. I still have a 78 and 79. we'll have to pull them from my wine locker when the stock hits 10. Sipping with Mr. Jordan, he said they're still great, has some himself and drinking them. The wine locker is full with a few hundred bottles, might have to sort through for more special bottles at 20pps.
Odd. no bid or ask on nnvc on schwab L2. even restarted my computer and same thing.
I'm all for him getting that jet. Anybody second the motion?
It seems investors everywhere need cash due to the vulnerability or damage to their portfolios. Some just want out of the market, go to only cash - wait it out (where is a good question). If the pps goes down further, I'll join you in acquiring more shares for the long term. I think it is a strong possibility we'll be competing for the same shares. I don't see this stock as a short term flip at all soooo, come to papa.
The company seems to be on a track outside the regular market, on an orderly schedule, potentially with significant partners we haven't heard about yet moving their products toward the market. How soon depends on their relationships, the quickness of testing completion and then approval and the market. Hopefully, at some point soon, we'll find out they are closer to agreements for testing to production with the major players of our different drug candidates. Then, we'll party!!!
Until then - come to papa!!! or 'make my day'.
If it drops to .10, I'll buy another 400k shares. That would help support the pps.
When the quick money tapers off, the few that do influence the pps will be back. One might even consider that a fund had shares much cheaper, saw the opportunity to make some quick money with the fanny/freddie/financials and bailed until that easy money slows down. Then, we'll probably see them come back and the pps will move not based on any immediate news or a much greater response if news is there.
The financials were perfect for shorting this morning for the busy. BAC off 2+ from the opening high, even more considering the pre-market. C, WM - 1+ off, the brokers, all were ripe for shorting after the major covering in pre-market that actually started after market last Friday. People who wanted to participate in the fast money had a great opportunity today for shorting the freddie/fannie news. People needed cash - some nnvc investors included - bailed quickly so they could short the play then jump back into their positions later at a cheaper pps with additional money in their pockets or can add more shares than previously held. Great strategy for nimble and brave.
get rid of arca and we're only .01 down with the next gap another .05 higher. obviously, mms off to the banking sector today.......
they probably have profits on these sales and want to daytrade the action in the big market.
today looks like it's going to be very painful.....
Today, the market should really kick tail with the Freddie/Fannie bailout. Would be a terrific day to say something significant, imo. we'll see.
MMs will trade with their own clients first. If we watch which mm is moving the pps and know the one we use, one can make a strategy when it's not our mm. An AON order can be easy if it's the same mm. If not the same mm, you might sit there forever.
1. Flu Shot Doesn’t Reduce Deaths
The widely-held perception that the influenza vaccination reduces overall mortality risk in the elderly does not withstand careful scrutiny, according to researchers in Alberta. The vaccine does confer protection against specific strains of influenza, but its overall benefit appears to have been exaggerated by a number of observational studies that found a very large reduction in all-cause mortality among elderly patients who had been vaccinated.
The results will appear in the first issue for September of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, a publication of the American Thoracic Society.
The study included more than 700 matched elderly subjects, half of whom had taken the vaccine and half of whom had not. After controlling for a wealth of variables that were largely not considered or simply not available in previous studies that reported the mortality benefit, the researchers concluded that any such benefit “if present at all, was very small and statistically non-significant and may simply be a healthy-user artifact that they were unable to identify.”
“While such a reduction in all-cause mortality would have been impressive, these mortality benefits are likely implausible. Previous studies were likely measuring a benefit not directly attributable to the vaccine itself, but something specific to the individuals who were vaccinated—a healthy-user benefit or frailty bias,” said Dean T. Eurich,Ph.D. clinical epidemiologist and assistant professor at the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta. “Over the last two decades in the United Sates, even while vaccination rates among the elderly have increased from 15 to 65 percent, there has been no commensurate decrease in hospital admissions or all-cause mortality. Further, only about 10 percent of winter-time deaths in the United States are attributable to influenza, thus to suggest that the vaccine can reduce 50 percent of deaths from all causes is implausible in our opinion.”
The finding has broad implications:
* For patients: People with chronic respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, immuno-compromised patients, healthcare workers, family members or friends who take care of elderly patients and others with greater exposure or susceptibility to the influenza virus should still be vaccinated. “But you also need to take care of yourself. Everyone can reduce their risk by taking simple precautions,” says Dr. Majumdar. “Wash your hands, avoid sick kids and hospitals during flu season, consider antiviral agents for prophylaxis and tell your doctor as soon as you feel unwell because there is still a chance to decrease symptoms and prevent hospitalization if you get sick— because flu vaccine is not as effective as people have been thinking it is.”
* For vaccine developers: Previously reported mortality reductions are clearly inflated and erroneous–this may have stifled efforts at developing newer and better vaccines especially for use in the elderly.
* For policy makers: Efforts directed at “improving quality of care” are better directed at where the evidence is, such as hand-washing, vaccinating children and vaccinating healthcare workers.
Finally, Dr. Majumder said, the findings are a reminder to researchers that “the healthy-user effect is everywhere you don’t want it to be.”
New diapers?.....
looking forward to when 1000 people want 50k at Market, all at the same time.
Absolutely, but the head fake it that it might go further. Wish it had. It was exciting.
I like the number 5 as the opener
Interesting opening head fake.
