Agree!
Good point!
Just a hunch but...
...the "hands-on" people in executive positions, Dr. Reiza Rayman and Dr. Dennis Fowler, are researchers/academicians with limited corporate experience. SPORT is their "baby." Yes, John Hargrove and Joe Talarico come from sales and marketing backgrounds but I'd venture a guess it's the "big guys" from academia that aren't allowing the PR we want/need. These guys are locked in to getting this thing functional. They come from University settings/backgrounds where "big business" is largely frowned upon. They understand the potential for market superiority but Im not so sure they are wired like sales/marketing experts and every day investors are. Again, just a hunch!
It is much easier for a company this small to keep info on lockdown.
I will have to check FDA regs but I am fairly confident this is the type of information that a device company is not allowed to release until complete. It would be like a drug company announcing data results on an investigational drug before all data is in - which they are not allowed to do for obvious reasons!
Been think'n... I hope ISRG finds a way to to rally over the next 6 to 12 months. I'd like to see this market "excited" as Titan gets closer to commercialization. It'd be great to see ISRG back up in the high 400s or low 500s, then a huge ISRG sell-off a year from now as current Intuitive stock holders move their $ to Titan.
My entire portfolio is showing red right now! I just took a sharpie and put a big black X over 5/15 on my calendar! See you guys tomorrow!
It appears the market in general is taking a big dump today! I hate these frequent triple digit swings. Few invest in the market for the long-haul anymore.
"Getting ahead of ourselves" is what this board is good at. lol
Just gotta have realistic expectations. Don't hope for too much at any one time or you will be disappointed. I am confident at some point this stock / company / product will deliver.
It's always worth buying more shares if you are long.
They will get approval. But I'm telling you, you cannot count your chickens before theyre hatched. I deal with this regularly - granted on the drug side of the industry - but FDA approval does not come easily. I've worked on FDA audits of sponsor companies and research sites. Auditors are told not to stop an audit until they find a violation. They are regulators... you have to play their "game!"
Titan doesnt beat ISRGs SP to the US market until the FDA grants approval. Then it's time to celebrate.
Not so fast! FDA still has to approve!
It's not premature! It's the perfect way to generate some talk and excitement leading up to the meeting.
GREAT "sleuthing" CUIN. You really take alot of time, effort and care in your DD. Im impressed at how you "comb through" the details every day. Personally I appreciate it! You are a great asset to anyone that follows your posts on the message boards. Thank you!
This was the "best case scenario" I was hoping for. A timeline advance is as positive as it gets at this point in time. As word trickles out we have to assume pps will inch up in the next four trading days. If mgt confirms all this on Wednesday, we can breathe a sigh of relief! A year from now is when we'll really be chomp'n at the bit!
Thanks again!
Interesting!
I believe he means staying on target will hinge more with the FDA rather than Titan. Which is reality. The FDA is the number one rate limiting factor! They can demand more testing, or request additional data, which may not already be planned in the current timeline.
Another good post!
Great post!
Agree with you about the day-to-day price watching. I hate that I look at it every day!
Anyone who is long on Titan should welcome the news of a forward timeline adjustment. The sooner we get from one stage of development to the next, the closer we are to approval. Plus, it's not uncommon for the FDA to ask for additional collection of data at the last minute. That is a critical time, especially for a development company with a "fixed" amount of funding like Titan. Time is money!
Realizing you are two months ahead of schedule is huge when you have competition!
Don't underestimate the unplanned advancement of a R&D schedule. It is not a common thing in this industry! Most companies have pie-in-the-sky research timelines that often fall short of expectations.
Yes, someone or some group with deep pockets was thoroughly convinced they ought to invest. So what drove their decision? Let's hope we find out next week!
lol! You are right so my excitement about this possibility is restrained. It is a best case scenario in a number of potential scenarios.
I CONCUR! A few of us have said that hopefully the timelines will be moved up a bit. That was one of my initial impressions when we all started questioning the reasons behind the latest financing. Makes alot of sense. That would be as good as news as we could get right now.
I'm holding out for a huge write up from John Hargrove's alma mater... maybe the University of Georgia Alumni Newsletter will bring this thing home for all of us!
lol, Cramer is a hack!
If there is any leaked info, look for this Thursday, Friday or next Monday to see a "pop" in volume / share price.
Titan really needs some print and/or air-time that will reach the masses!
Ditto! I think we're gonna be alright. I know patience is wearing thin lately, especially with those of you who have been in this for awhile. They're get'n there. Looking forward to 5/21.
Gotta like Ximedica! A solid partnership...
...Ximedica provided Titan with detailed documentation as each of the technical milestones (instrumentation, master controls and visualization) was achieved. “When one of our clients has a product undergoing development, good progress demonstrates value to investors,” says Libby.
“Titan needed to be able to show their investors where they were at any given moment and, more directly, that they had arrived at where they said they would be in a certain timeframe. Pulling it all together and figuring out how to do it quickly on a tight schedule was Ximedica’s side of the challenge.”
Also gotta like what 3D printers are doing for R&D period!
Agree, good post CUIN!
lol. I hear ya... i bought a chunk around 2.25
Think I'm gonna change your nickname Chuckles. From this day forward you will be known as "60K"
lol. Chuckles, you're relentless!
I will take a listen. I need to educate myself on their technology. Isn't the Surgibot just an enhancement to the Spider system? The platform is already on the market so they may be playing by different rules.
Folks, keep in mind that a company with a med device in development has regulatory restrictions regarding promotion of a pre-approved device. Unlike companies in less-regulated sectors, Titan does have to be very careful in how they distribute information. I will re-iterate what I've said before... Titan needs to stay in good graces with the FDA! Perhaps they are just being overly cautious.
From FDA.gov -
Under § 812.7, a sponsor, investigator, or any person acting for or on behalf of a sponsor or investigator cannot:
Promote or test market an investigational device, until after FDA has approved the device for commercial distribution.
I dont usually dabble in penny stocks... Ive held blue chips in the energy, defense and pharma sectors. My oil stocks have done well and General Dynamics is fun to short.
I am now feeling MUCH MUCH better about this message board. Reality is what it is. I have said from the start, this is speculative. It's a great concept for an extremely underserved market... but right now, just speculative. Im staying long unless news suggests a major delay, wasted spending or I sense the company is not being forthright.
I hope Titan Mgt and/or Beverly reads today's posts. It is apparent they are starting to lose the confidence of a few of their most dedicated early investors. Not a good thing!
Sometimes I wish someone would sake bomb this board!
