Something I pulled from the pork of article on the Spider that interested the bones you understand. We are doing what the author/analyst was referring to for future success. Wolf
CBD growth expectations
The first thing to consider in regard to CBD growth expectations is if the $22 billion revenue projection is overly optimistic, within the short time frame it is expected to reach that level, which less than 30 months.
Also important in relationship to Charlotte's Web is not only what percentage of that revenue it'll grab, but if it will be able to brand itself via a variety of CBD products to allow it to stand out in the minds of consumers. It's one thing for CBD sales to soar, it's another thing for a company to separate itself in the minds of consumers against their competitors. CBD could easily, in general, become a commodity market that competes primarily on price.
That's why I remind investors continually that CBD should be considered similar to the vitamin and supplement markets. It's going to cater in some degree to the same type of customers, and since government entities like the FDA don't allow CBD products to be touted as cures or treatments for diseases, it makes it harder to pull away from the pack.
That's why Charlotte's Web need to offer CBD products to the market based upon what consumers determine the value of specific products are to their health. That's how the vitamin and supplement markets work.
Thanks again AndY.. Wolf
Three of the top 5 are in Kroger’s.
https://www.greenmarketreport.com/brightfield-group-names-top-5-cbd-companies/
According to Brightfield Group, the CBD market in the U.S. has grown over 700% in 2019.
The CBD industry is becoming much more saturated than it was before the passing of the U.S. Farm Bill late last year, with new products entering the market, threatening to take a slice of the CBD pie that the early producers of CBD have enjoyed until this time.
Nevertheless, the top 20 CBD companies still hold a majority of the even bigger pie that is CBD in the cannabis industry.
Brightfield Group listed the Top 5 CBD Companies that the research group says “continue to make a name for themselves” within the growing CBD market. Here’s what we know about these various companies:

CW Hemp (Charlotte’s Web)
Earlier this summer, Charlotte’s Web Holdings (TSX:CWEB)(OTCQX:CWBHF) announced that their total acres of hemp planted for the 2019 growing season had increased 187% due to interest and demand for the products. Prior to that, the company reported its earnings for the first quarter with revenue growing 66% to $21.7 million.
“Interest and demand for our products has been exceptional and growing rapidly. Our 2019 planting strategy ensures we will have the required raw materials to deliver on production targets for Charlotte’s Web products through 2020 and into 2021,” stated Deanie Elsner, CEO of Charlotte’s Web. “Our leading CBD hemp varieties under cultivation today are the foundation of our 2020 production plan.”
Brightfield Group remarked of the company: “By deeply understanding who they are as a brand and identifying the consumers that resonate with their messaging, they have built the foundation for potentially life-long customers and advocates.”?
PlusCBD Oil (CV Sciences)
PlusCBD Oil by CV Sciences (OTCMKTS: CVSI) has found success largely due to their low-dose capsule and softgel formats that Brightfield Group referred to as “a safe bet for more conservative users”. Green Market Report has been watching the steady increase in CV Science’s company value following last year’s impressive sales jump of 203% in the second quarter.
The company is expected to announce its second-quarter results for 2019 on August 6.
? 3. Green Roads World
Green Roads offers unique, high-dose products, and have built their success on effective social strategies. With a growing employee base of over 100 the company had an estimated value of $45 million in 2018, according to co-founder Abby Boroso.
The company sells CBD-infused products such as tinctures and balms, online and in 6,000 stores and 2,000 doctors’ offices across the country. Brightfield attributes their “values-based marketing” to their success and prominence in the CBD industry.
Medterra
Medterra’s growth is largely due to its effective SEO strategy and marketing. With a site that is full of engaging content that manages to get past the limitations of search engines, Medterra gets itself in front of the eyes of consumers.
The company recently announced a foray into the sports, fitness and golf communities, by partnering with Worldwide Golf Shops, the parent company to Edwin Watts, Roger Dunn, and some of the most well-known and established golf retail stores in the United States.
Irwin Naturals
Irwin Naturals turned heads when Klee Irwin, the founder of the company announced the company would be giving away $1M worth of CBD products to honor the passing of the Farm Bill.
The company is concerned with making the cost of CBD products affordable, saying “Our mission is to spread health to the world through plant medicine. Our nation is on the edge. And I am worried about the future of our children. If we can make CBD affordable and accessible to the masses, it just might help our country avoid a meltdown.”
Groups of Competitors in the CBD Market
Brightfield Group laid out the different types of companies and brands that are continuing to lead the pack when it comes to innovative marketing, advanced products, and ways to stick out in the market. These companies are those who are:
CBD-only companies that have established brand loyalty, improved marketing strategies, and grow larger and more diverse customer bases
Cannabis companies including multi-state operators that leverage networks and infrastructure to build brand recognition and raise capital to expand CBD lines
Supplement brands existing in the natural food store and retail chain space
Disruptor brands that were little-known prior to this year and have risen up in the ranks as they’ve been picked up by large retail chains
As it is only still summer, it remains anyone’s game as to who will end up at the finish line in the CBD brand race by the end of the year.

The $4/share level has become an extremely defining price point on the chart of CV Sciences Inc (OTCMKTS:CVSI) in recent action. Shares of the stock have simply crawled along it, with, we can probably assume, a broad-based transition of ownership from sellers to new investors moving in and accumulating supply at the level. Typically, when we see this much sideways consolidation, some fireworks aren’t too far away. To further flesh out the story, the company just announced further expansion of its industry-dominating PlusCBD Oil brand with The Kroger Co.
According to the release, “CV Sciences’ expansion broadens distribution and availability of the Company’s best-selling PlusCBD Oil Original and Extra Strength Balms, and recently launched PlusCBD Oil Roll-Ons to more than 400 Kroger stores in five new states, including Georgia, Montana, Texas, Utah and Virginia. This expansion brings CV Sciences’ PlusCBD Oil distribution with Kroger to 22 states and 1,350 stores across many of Kroger’s retail banners, including Kroger, Dillons, Fry’s, Fred Meyer, King Sooper, Mariano’s, Pick ‘n Save, QFC and Smiths.”
https://oracledispatch.com/2019/07/31/why-cv-sciences-inc-otcmktscvsi-may-have-fireworks-ahead/
CVSI operates two distinct business segments: a drug development division focused on developing and commercializing novel therapeutics utilizing synthetic CBD; and, a consumer product division in manufacturing, marketing and selling plant-based CBD products to a range of market sectors, including nutraceutical, beauty care, specialty foods, and vape.
PlusCBD™ Oil Topicals Now Available at 1,350 Kroger Stores.
“We are pleased to further grow our distribution with Kroger and increase the availability of PlusCBD™ Oil products to more Kroger shoppers across the U.S.,” said Joseph Dowling, Chief Executive Officer. “We see significant opportunities to further expand our partnership into more Kroger retail outlets with additional product SKUs as demand for high quality, safe and effective hemp CBD products continues to increase with broader market acceptance.”
PlusCBD™ Oil Extra Strength Balm ranks #1 in sales in both the Total U.S. Natural Channel and Total U.S. MULO (Multi Outlet) over the last 52 weeks* among hemp CBD products within Topical Analgesics, according to SPINS and IRI data, respectively. Brightfield Group, a leading predictive analytics and market research firm for the CBD market, expects $1.3 billion in sales of hemp CBD topicals in 2019, with a compound annual growth rate of 169% from 2018 – 2022.

CV SCIENCES, INC. APPLAUDS OHIO’S STATE LAW PASSAGE OF SENATE BILL 57

Senate Bill 57 Legalizes Hemp Cultivation and CBD Sales in Ohio
SAN DIEGO, July 30, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CV Sciences, Inc. (OTCQB:CVSI) (the “Company”, “CV Sciences”, “our”, “us” or “we”), a preeminent supplier and manufacturer of hemp cannabidiol (CBD) products through its industry-dominating brand, PlusCBD™ Oil, announces its full support of Ohio’s state law passage of Senate Bill 57 (SB 57), which makes hemp and hemp CBD products legal in Ohio.
SB 57 was approved by the Ohio House Agriculture and Rural Development Committee in June and passed the House floor on an 88-3 vote on July 17th. Through the passing of this Committee, Governor Mike DeWine immediately signed the bill into law today, July 30th.
“Ohio’s legalization of hemp cultivation and CBD sales is a positive development for Ohio’s economy, farmers, its millions of citizens, the hemp CBD industry, and our company,” said Joseph Dowling, Chief Executive Officer of CV Sciences. “Passage of this Bill creates a new agricultural crop for the Buckeye state, which will drive economic development, job creation and a new product category sold at retail to consumers. We expect to increase our retail distribution throughout Ohio as a result of this law and look forward to bringing the highest quality hemp CBD products to Ohioans.”
The passage of this Bill took the effort of many constituents in the Buckeye State. Through the efforts of the US Hemp Roundtable, a hemp advocacy organization of which CV Sciences co-founded, thousands of hemp supporters in Ohio took action to contact their legislators. The effort included robust education on hemp, hemp production and how hemp CBD products can bring value to state economies.
Jonathan Miller, General Counsel for the US Hemp Roundtable, commented, "Ohio's passage of a pro-hemp, pro-CBD law is an important milestone for the national hemp industry. Not only does Ohio become the 47th state to legalize hemp, but the bill's overwhelming support demonstrates the public's strong aversion to agencies who want to ban CBD."

Charlotte’s Web Holdings (CWBHF) soared over 10% yesterday on news of a distribution deal with a major grocery chain. The landmines hitting the CBD and cannabis sector stocks suggest waiting for a pullback on the stock before loading up.
Kroger Deal
On Monday, the Boulder, CO based company announced a major distirbution deal with Kroger (KR), America’s largest grocery retailer. The deal involves CWB supplying hemp CBD extract products to their online site and 1,350 stores across 22 states making Kroger the largest single distribution deal.
Based on this deal, CWB lists retail distribution that has now surpassed 8,000 locations. At the start of May, the company listed 6,000 locations. The company has now more than doubled their retail distribution network since the start of the year
The announcement is very vague on the exact timing of reaching the full 1,350 stores owned by Kroger. The large grocery chain has over 2,700 retail locations so further expansion is possible and probable.
A big reason the retail location ramp is important is that CWB only got 51% of revenues from retail locations in Q1. The company is still highly focused on their own online sales providing a massive ramp in revenues from only about $11 million in the last quarter.
A big question remains how effective these mass retailers will be at selling CBD products. The shelves could become crowded with CBD products from competitors.
CBD Problems
The cannabis sector has been under pressure in the last few months due to executive shakeups, audit frauds and FDA Warning Letters. The best time to buy the sector stocks lately has been on dips following these negative events. CWB stock surged over 10% for the day and hit $17 in initial trading. CWB is still down over $8 from the highs above $25 due to market weakness.
CWB now has a market cap above $1.5 billion and isn’t likely to rally much beyond this level with revenue forecasts for 2019 at only $120 million to $170 million. The company reported Q1 revenues of ~$22 million and these deals with grocery chains like Kroger should boost revenues substantially above the low-end target. Although, the timing of a deal in July could push the majority of sales into next year.
Analysts have CWB generating revenues of up to $350 million next year. The stock gets more reasonably priced when valued at about 4x 2020 revenue estimates.
The market is rightfully concerned about the ability of CWB to achieve the 100%+ revenue gains in 2020. Combined with website statements that the FDA has not evaluated their statements on CBD products reducing stress and helping people recovery from exercise could suggest the company gets a similar warning letter from the FDA as Curaleaf (CURLF).
Takeaway
The key investor takeaway is that Charlotte’s Web remains the best pure way to play the CBD craze in the U.S. market. The company now has the product on market and retail locations signed up for distribution. CWB should gain significant brand recognition over the Canadian companies that plan to enter the market in 2020 and beyond.
The best way to own the stock for those without a current position is to wait for weakness in the sector or stock from something specific related to the FDA. CWB needs a lot to go right in order to reach 2020 revenue targets needed to justify higher stock prices.
Overall, CWB has 2 bullish analysts in its corner over the last three months. The 12-month average price target of $25 implies about 50% in upside potential for the 'Moderate Buy' rated stock

Kroger, the nation's largest grocery retailer, announced in June it would sell hemp-derived CBD creams, balms and other topical products in nearly 1,000 stores in 17 states – but not its home state of Ohio.
That will change with the new law, but a Kroger spokeswoman said it was too early to provide details.
Chill. How was your rest last night? Louisville and Virginia Beach are carrying the same products. Charlotte’s Web had their products in Kroger’s two weeks before they announced. They in my opinion waited so they could manipulate their stock to get it higher, and it worked. Now you will see a sell off. You are always coming on this board with high expectations. Fluff news is not what is going to move CVSI. When CVSI announced on June 12 that they had a deal with Kroger, the stock went up 10 percent and came right back down. CVSI is in 1350 stores in 22 states. Kroger’s GREEN displays are made and displayed for the same skus. Medterra, Harmony, Veritas Farms, Charlotte’s Web, And CV Sciences. The catalyst for CVSI will be continued revenue growth, up listing, and the sales of cbd products in the global arena including CVSI 007. CVSI is in 1350 Kroger stores with the possibility of 1400 additional Kroger stores and affiliates. The second largest grocery store in the World. What more can you ask for? Besides news. When you have that leverage over the remaining competitors, the other grocery stores and drug stores will gravitate to CVSI. If you are looking for a 10 bagger, you along with I missed that opportunity last year when the Stock was at 40 cents. Good luck and the Wolf hopes you become more optimistic in your thinking when it comes to CVSI. Imo Wolf ahooooooo

2,764 Kroger Stores to Carry CBD Cannabis
IAN WYATT June 14, 2019 at 10:56
On Wednesday, the grocery store chain announced plans to sell CBD products. The initial rollout includes 945 stores in 17 states.
Kroger will initially sell CBD topical products including creams, balms and oils. In the future, the company may add CBD-infused food and drinks to its shelves.
Additionally, Kroger could quickly roll out CBD products in all 2,764 stores.
It’s common for big retailers to test new products in a small portion of locations. And if successful, they’ll conduct a large-scale rollout.

Everything We Know About the Health Risks of Vaping CBD
The problem many CBD vapers have faced recently seems to stem mainly from poor regulation over the vaping market in general, and the subsequent unreliable quality of any vape or vape oil.
https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/zmk55a/everything-we-know-about-the-health-risks-of-vaping-cbd
Earlier this year, the United States Army issued a public health warning after medical centers at two bases in North Carolina saw some 60 patients within a few months for health issues that officials linked to their use of CBD vape oils. The symptoms included everything from headaches, nausea, and vomiting to disorientation, agitation, and seizures.
A few months later, North Carolina health officials issued their own warning after local emergency rooms saw some 30 people come in suffering from hallucinations, loss of consciousness, and heart irregularities linked to vaping CBD products. Both notices hinted that officials feared such visits could grow exponentially more common as popular interest in and access to CBD vaping, a legal practice in many states with a host of purported (but still not conclusively proven) health benefits expands.
These reports should be enough to give anyone vaping CBD—or considering it for medicinal or recreational purposes—severe pause. Experts and existing evidence largely agree, though, that CBD itself, even when vaped, is largely safe. But that is only if you can get your hands on unadulterated CBD tinctures to vape. The problem many CBD vapers have faced recently seems to stem mainly from poor regulation over the vaping market in general, and the subsequent unreliable quality of any vape or vape oil.
What are the benefits and side effects of vaping CBD?
CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol, one of more than 100 active cannabinoid components found in cannabis. Studies of its myriad potential medical benefits have found that people can tolerate a wide range of doses of it with minimal effects, including weeks on continuously high dosages. Granted, that doesn’t mean there are no side effects. Studies have found that CBD can cause some users to experience irritability, lethargy, reduced appetite or urination, gastrointestinal distress, rashes, breathing issues, or in the worst instances, liver problems or exacerbations of mental health issues.
Knowledge of the way our bodies process CBD also suggests that it interacts with enzymes in the liver in ways that may change the efficacy of a number of other drugs, from blood thinners to anticonvulsants, to antidepressants. This may potentially lead to increased side effects, or even a risk of unintentional overdose on other drugs in the worst cases.
We do not yet know enough to say definitively how common these side effects are, or how many of them are native to CBD usage versus the result of those potential interactions between CBD and other drugs. We also don't know with any reliability how different doses might lead to different side effects or drug-drug interactions, or how drastically these effects may differ from body to body or in conjunction with other conditions. Nor do we have any good data on how CBD might affect children differently than adults, or long-term users over the course of decades.
Now that Curly created another Snafu in the pet arena. No pun intended Michael Vick. Hopefully one of the products that CV Sciences expects to roll out this year will end up in local Pet Shops near you you understand. Wolfie
The CBD market is betting big on pets. The CBD market in the U.S. alone is expected to reach $24 billion by 2023, with pets making up 7% of those market sales, according to Brightfield Group. This comes as the FDA is issuing a warning to Curaleaf over how it markets its CBD products. Brightfield Group Managing Director Bethany Gomez joins Yahoo Finance's Zack Guzman and Sibile Marcellus, along with Chieh Huang, Boxed CEO, to discuss.
You are welcome RifleShaft. That is just one of the three things you don’t want the FDA barreling in on from their scopes you understand. Wolf

WAKEFIELD, Mass. , July 26, 2019 /CNW/ -- Curaleaf Holdings, Inc. (CURA.CN) (CURLF) ("Curaleaf" or "the Company"), the leading vertically integrated cannabis operator in the United States , responded yesterday to a letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") informing FDA that the Company has addressed the issues that were raised in the letter regarding its CBD product marketing.
Upon receiving the letter, Curaleaf Hemp, the Company's hemp-based CBD product line, immediately began an extensive review of its website and social media platforms to remove all statements that FDA identified as non-compliant. This includes removing the Curaleaf Hemp blog, and the third-party links in it, and removing any statements and social media posts to which FDA had taken exception. Additionally, Curaleaf Hemp advised FDA that a number of the products mentioned in the FDA letter had previously been discontinued. Curaleaf Hemp will continue to work diligently to ensure that information it provides to consumers on its website and social media platforms are fully compliant with FDA requirements.
"Our industry needs, wants and appreciates the work the FDA is doing to ensure there is regulation and compliance in the CBD marketplace," said Joseph Lusardi , CEO of Curaleaf.
"We care deeply about our customers and making a difference in our industry. Curaleaf is committed to being an ethical and responsible company and working with the FDA to be a leader in our industry, setting the standards and guidelines to best service our customers and the communities we serve."
