Thanks for the report, Imperial. It sounds like a sensible way for Spooz to launch SpoozToolz. Good customer support is essential with a new and complex piece of software.
I wonder how many trading screens there are in a 10 block radius of Spooz HQ.
Just noticed that the SpoozToolz forum page is down.

Can anyone else access it?
Go to post #2259 on this board.
Wetherdude, version 1 was released in March 2006. Apparently it had some problems handling large amounts of data, so the company had to do some major retooling of it. V2 has solved the problems with throughput as far as I can gather.
Hi, Weatherdude. I am pretty sure ST V1 was PR'd before the day of release.
Looks like SpoozChartz can be purchased now.
Go to http://www.spooztoolz.com/category.aspx?categoryID=50 and click on the $98.00 link.
No, EBI, I am sure that page has been there for a while.
If you don't mind, could you tell us what you thought of the EOD Fractalz?
TIA

Do you know if you'll be able to download it tomorrow?
Very interesting news, Critter. Thanks! It will be good to get a report from you once you start using the program.
Well, from the topics listed on the forum, it seems like we might see SpoozChartz released soon.
From what I can gather, this software would be able to provide charting and analysis for all kinds of securities, including stocks. This is a standalone product that does not depend on SpoozToolz (although I think it can work in conjunction with ST)
I do have quick question that I'll throw out - who are likely customers for an advanced charting software packages? How large a market do people think there is for such a program outside the institutional traders?
TIA - and if any of my assumptions is wrong, please correct me someone!

Forums are getting updated. Take a look at the FAQs

Do you think that they are just invented by Paul?
Not much buying or selling. It could be that most of those who are waiting for the product launches have already stocked up on shares, and may not have more funds to buy more at this point.
I'm sure there are many just patiently (or perhaps not so patiently) holding and watching.
Hi, Allie, Testimonials from professional traders will be a powerful marketing tool, IMO. I hope they are continuing to collect them.
Thanks, Allie. Impressive testimonials!
No problem, Baaden. I don't think anyone could blame you for posting it. It sure seemed to fit into the timeframe we were all looking at.
Hi, Weatherdude. The 15th was based on an outdated piece of information found on the Interactive Brokers web site. There was plenty of discussion about it a few days ago.
Best,
Songbird
Very interesting, Imperial. From what you have learned, do you think SpoozChartz (on its own, without SpoozToolz) has the ability to do what you are describing in paragraph 5 of your post?
I have looked at the SpoozChartz demo, and see that it has a lot of powererful tools, but I don't have the experience to make an educated judgement. I bow to your expertise!
Thanks!
Songbird
Hi, Chris. I just tried to do that and you can't purchase it without a broker ID.
Hi, Oldtimer, good to hear from you - welcome to the board!
Thanks for your thoughts, MRKCO. I appreciate your report on your monthly visits - nice to have another eyewitness report!
I think that retail investors would be more interested in subscribing to ST when the program supports equity trading. The current version is for options, derivatives, futures and FOREX. While there is retail interest in these asset classes, I imagine most retail interest would be for trading stocks.
Allie, I think I am right in saying that the first release of SpoozToolz is for trading futures, options, derivatives and FOREX. I think that the professional traders would be the most natural target customers for this version of the software.
Thanks for the update, Allie. Good news about the first part of the launch, IMO.
Wasn't there some office that Spooz had set up at the Chicago Board of Trade to get better connectivity?
Hi, Archyis. I agree with you that the definite release date is clearly stated here, and I certainly take this as a positive sign.
I was reading the statement on the IB site in the light of what you reported earlier today about SpoozToolz connectivity available through Trading Technologies. I checked the TT web site, and I didn't see Interactive Brokers on the list of brokers that work with TT.
Best to you,
Songbird
If I am reading this correctly, it seems possible SpoozToolz may not be available through Interactive Brokers on Jan 15th. They seem to be saying that they have had requests make ST compatible with IB, but that may not be accomplished yet.
They are saying that brokerages worldwide will have ST - perhaps these are the 120 that have connectivity through Trading Technologies.
Does anyone read it the same way?

In addition, Allie:
"Mr. Stone will remain on the Spooz board of directors and retain his title as Secretary of the corporation"

Great post, Allie. My sentiments also.

i did not want to post this on the regular forum, since i do not post much some people may question my credibility. on the other forums, people are questioning whether or not spooz has gotten their 500,000.00. i sent paul an e-mail friday and got a response within ten minutes. the question was- has spooz received their first 500,000.00 payment yet. his resonse and i quote, "we have received a partial payment. we take money as needed for some important reasons.

Allie, I have always been impressed with the quote you use in your signature. To me, it seems very applicable to Spooz.

I agree with your assessment, Bobby. I don't expect to see Spooz release everything they have to everyone all at one time.
It sounds like they are being wise in ramping up gradually and deliberately, in a manner they can handle. Customer service and product support have to be in place ror a successful launch of any complex software, and I think it would be dangerous for them to bite off more than they can chew.
According to critter-creek's report, SpoozChartz is ready now, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that as one of the early products released.
Songbird
Thanks for the report, critter creek. About a dozen new tech guys being trained? -- that is quite an expansion in staff.
It sure looks like things are about to get off the ground finally.
Thanks very much, MC
I am glad to hear that the plan is being executed, and that the folks at Spooz are feeling so positive.
IMO, the low volume recently and share price fluctuations are due to people having concerns about more delays and unfulfilled expectations. Once that uncertainty is put to rest, I would expect much more positive action in the pps.
I think it is great to have a board moderator who has a good relationship with the principals at Spooz. Thanks so much for your service!

Good Saturday morning, Spoozers. It looks likely that the nation is going to enter a period of economic slowdown, possibly a recession. I am thinking that Spooz is still in a strong position for the following reasons.
They have a superior product (some say disruptive technology) that is offered at a lower price point than the competition.
Regardless of the strength of the economy, trading will continue on a widespread basis, especially in the commodity markets.
Spooz is a start-up company. Unless it is a complete flop, it can only go up from this point.
Any other thoughts?
TIA
Thanks, MC.
Yes, I have been noticing your increased interest in charts lately!
On the SpoozToolz web site, the price for SpoozChartz is listed as $98 (per month, I assume). Do you think that this will be something that will be useful to the average trader/investor in addition to the professional traders?
I think I'm going to take another look at the SpoozChartz section of the demo.
Songbird
Hi, MC. Allie also brought up the possiblity of a release of SpoozChartz today, and mentioned it was a stand-alone product. I guess I was mistaken in thinking this required SpoozToolz to operate.
Are you of the understanding that SpoozChartz can operate on its own? If so, what advantages do you see in releasing it first? Maybe less customer support requirements?
Anyway thanks for your contributions - and interesting ideas!
Well in reality the bid is higher if you are bidding at 0.0045. It's just not being shown.
I think the ask is now .0075
