I counted the Spanish speaking channels two days ago, and I stopped at 45. You have other companies who are advertising that they have 50 live channels. I saw a Sling ad in Spanish a couple days ago. But I'm sure they don't have nearly as many Spanish stations. Viva's Spanish channels alone are nearly as much as most companies total live channels. I kinda think VIVA is serious about this.
Acampors, I get the part about not selling the channels while they are down. But are you saying you think they are trying to sell the premium channels separately? I thought the bundle for HBO, CINEMAX, and SHOWTIME for $28 was great. Those three channels would have bumped my direct tv bill up almost $40. And everyone who I gave look at the channels line up, their eyes lit up when they saw all three of those premium channels. I'm sure I misunderstood you. I got lost in particular with the HBO and HBO go. Give a shout back when U get a chance.
I thought about asking if they could give us a sneak peak to some of the movie titles. Don't think they will though. I sent out a tweet last night begging that they don't load a crap load of Indies, and old western movies. They sent a tweet back saying they have real movies.
Gotta see if I can watch those movies along with advertisments. At the moment though, this seems like it's getting better and better.
Get well soon PB. And as for JF, he just said on Twitter that he will be back in full force next Wednesday, and he also said he will be kicking ass, and taking names. So that was good to hear from him too.
Movies almost here free 30 days
— Vivalive TV Official (@vivaentgroup) October 11, 2017
We may have to exercise just a bit more patience. With reshuffling of the HD signals, the movies, and I still don't see the option to select the platinum package, any push for triad customers may not be in the cards right now.
I know for me, I'm only using my phone until November when I make the full switch, so I can't see everything that others can. But yeah, I'll wait till it's totally fictional.
Woof! I hope they're not asking $50 to $100 a month for the DVR.
Nice post. I've held off on saying this, but what you've just said about all the irons in the fire falls right in line. But there's a reason why our rear view mirror in out car is smaller than our windshield. We can't continue to look at what is behind us, if we want to see where were headed. And what I can see through our windshield looks really good.
Come on JPPC. Just push the source button on your remote, and you're back to all your local channels. Just kidding. I feel for you. I was in that same boat. (Not with local channels, I never ever watch local news) Even though I subscribed to VIVA, I still have direct tv till the end of November. I was going to drop Direct TV regardless, and hope Viva would have a sports package by March of next year. I got lucky as all f1 races will now air on ESPN in 2018. But hey, if Viva's pps starts to pop, you won't feel that $110.
I should have said hype both good and bad!!
Really good post. But you can give it up on trying to tamp down the hype you have read on this board. I ask that some stop with a lot of the speculative post as the stock is still trying to find it's footing about two months ago. I was basically to to hush up. So that was the last time I decided to ask some of those posters be more realistic/pragmatic. Now when it comes to the reverse split, the CEO has said on more than one occasion that there will be no reverse split. Sooooooooo
About the same here, unless some pressing financial matter pops up before $1, I won't be selling. Even then, I still won't be selling all my shares. Now just being real, the one thing I think about almost everyday though are those that hold 5, 10, 20 million or more shares. Numbers have a psychological effect. Those in retail know most people feel as if they got a bargin if they hear $399 instead of $400, even though it's only one measly dollar. And being that is the OTC, some still may realise what they own, and once many see $1, they may start to sell off thinking it may not go too much higer. Let's hope they sell off those shares slowly as the price starts heading north so that people aren't too spooked. That would look like a massive sell off to a lot of share holders. Someone posted an extremely helpful bit about MM's and how in some cases, MM's are doing their job and controlling the price of stock. And are making sure that we can avoid a massive sell off once stocks reach a certain point. I wish like Hell I would have saved or wrote down the number of That post, it was extremely detailed.
Yep KGtG, TNT, that's another one too. TBS has MLB playoffs now as well. And I've seen a lot of soccer on the German channels as well as on the Spanish channels as you've pointed out. So that will also be another outlet during World Cup 2018. Don't get me wrong, the addition of dedicated sports channels will be huge. And from what I've seen, VIVA have worked their tails off bringing everything online the right way. They have been telling us that sports channels are coming, so I have no reason to doubt them.
Haha. I feel you I.T.K. I'm not selling any time soon my friend.
Unless u are a die hard sports fan, all those sports u just named are all on ESPN, ESPN2, TBS, ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. So here's my deal, I don't think it will be a deal breaker at the moment for the majority of people who want sign up. I get it, a lot of people are passionate about their sports, (you made sure u put a lot of caps in your reply, lol) but that's why I said IMHO. It hey, I also like having another point if view as well.
I wouldn't be mad at all.??
I don't think silver will be a problem either. When is the question. Jan 2018, Jan 2019? Hummmmmmmm
Well........yes. I guess potential customers are looking at the pictures/channels and not a DVR, lol. I guess I'm looking at our competitors, and I felt as if VIVA should tick every possible must have box (a sports package isn't necessary at this very moment IMO) as they roll this thing out to the masses. Always good to have another perspective though KG
Yes, I'm being super conservative acually. But manipulation and billions of shares, while not impossible to overcome, are just making it a little harder. It's going to happen though. I wasn't in on the run when it shot up to nearly a penny, but I watched it do it.
Being that this company is legit, the blatant manipulating of this stock can only last for so long. You've probably heard a number of us say that this product will almost sell itself. The subs will start to pick as soon as the movies and DVR are activated. Don't forget Triad, Oi2, and you have ingredients for success. No doubt shares will be retired after that. It may not be silver land in a month or two, but just looking at how the price jumped off of nothing but the announcement of screens of how movies will function, and code next week for testing, and going live next week, it should be pennies within a few months.
Once VIVA gets it's movies and DVR, I think they are going to measure up just fine. If u read through this article, all the heavy hitters have some some of short coming.

The same here. But once everything is back up, and the movies are downloaded, I will be requesting the flyers and posters from VIVA. Events like the one I'm heading to today are great because of the huge amount of people who will attend. Things should be just about wrapped up in about two weeks. I really don't think at this time that the lack of a sports package, and local channels will be a deal breaker in any way when people see what they will get for $35 to $60. But if they don't see premium channels or movies, or DVR, that may be a deal breaker to some. Getting our last two kids off to college was exhausting, we missed a ton of movies, we are so ready to do some binge watching!!!
Heading to a tailgating event with a lot of people in a attendance. Needless to say I will be showing and talking about nothing but Viva while there. But this is one of the reasons I hate that HBO, CINEMAX, and SHOWTIME are not up. UUGH!
My thoughts exactly. This is no doubt an awesome foundation to build upon. Because it's only a handful of us now, but this thing will be growing by leaps and bounds within the next few months. So I'm really curious to see how they handle things then. It seems as if they are emphasising training. And they aren't rushing this thing out either, to the chagrin of so many. One comment I read on the Sling website was that they0 rushed that product out, and they are paying for it now with an awful product that they are trying desperately to fix on the back end now. And rapid customer service is one of the things I told someone about who just downloaded the viva app on her phone. So the last thing I want is egg on my face when it comes to customer service once she becomes a custoner. Hahaha
Indeed!
Yes I'm luvin the way they are responding to all of us. Can't stress enough about the piss poor customer service I have heard about some companies. It is so bad that a number of customers have to roll out new PR campaigns, just to win back customers.
Yes they are, they just addressed it in Twitter. I'll keep looking till Tuesday.
Ok, I just sent them a tweet asking for some sort of official announcement to all customers. Glad to see they put something out. It really does go a long way.
Now that I'm not sure of. I can only speak for myself. I only have it on my cell, and it's no longer there. Now that I think about it, people who have the set top box may still have premium service. Could anyone correct me?
I think it's getting to the point that they should address everyone about this. Usually they take care of these issues in a day or two at the least. But it's getting a little long now, and this is how we all start to make up what we think is going on. I'm still on the 30 day free trial so no big deal as of now, but if I was a paying customer, I would have to ask them to pro-rate my next bill because I've been without this service for days now.
Good one Sloop1, Damn good one!!
I'm pretty sure it's the updates they're making to the site. At least that's what I was told when I sent in a support ticket yesterday.
Exacatamundo!!!
Got to agree with you on that one. I watch my phone so much at work so much now that people are constantly asking about Viva. They are totally floored by the picture quality, and no buffering. And when they see the channel line up, they can't believe it. Three or four of them will be subscribing (I know it's not much) and one will be buying the stock as soon as I give her more detailed info into VIVA. But man, the movies and DVR should just about seal the deal. We currently use Red Box for our movies. Total hassle. Movie night will be every night within the next two weeks.
It does seem as if something's about to go down again. They are shuffling the channels around again. Still not expecting movies for maybe 2 more weeks.
I just sent in a support ticket, they answered back and said they are working on all the HD signals to serve us better.
It has all the intangibles to do just that. I love apples and oranges by the way. Hahahq
This is a little of subject, but I'm glad liberty media bought F1, now all F1 races are on ESPN, and ESPN2 next year. So I don't have to worry if VIVA will have NBCSports at the start of the next f1 season. But do you really think it would take $530 milli to get VIVA fully rolling?
