Will do! Cheers!
R/S: you bet, I'm no expert, but I've been invested for going on 3 years and I kind of freaked out the first time I saw the r/s listed in 2015. Lol!
I do compete in Ironman, done 2 so far. Whistler and CdA. That's too funny because my brother wants me to do Boulder next year with him, may just do it. I'll let you know if I sign up.
I believe if you look back at the last two year's meetings in August they also had the reverse split listed as an agenda item. There has never been a plan to implement a r/s, according to Nader. But I believe they have it listed there to be voted on by shareholders regardless.
Nicely said, agree on all points, especially the issue of a R/S.
If anyone has any doubts about what reverse splits do to shareholders, just look at what has happened with DRYS in the last 6-9 months.
Yes, one could simply just dump their shares prior to the r/s to avoid it, but it's hard to do that if 1: you're in the red with your share cost average (and don't want to take the loss)
or 2: trading volume is too low to offload the shares, leaving you holding the bag.
Like WAR said, it usually only benefits the company doing the split. IMO.
So then the million dollar question if this happens is do we investors take the money and run at that point or continue to invest in the purchasing company and wait for the bigger future developments of GVHD and autoimmune treatment results...assuming the purchasing company would continue to pursue these uses for Pro140.
Yep, agree with that as well . Solid points on both potential outcomes. Looking forward to seeing how it all plays out, positively of course.
Fred, totally agree. Especially your last paragraph.
War, CYDY looking very strong this week! Big news coming.
The answer appears to be in the username "Nadar627Ksalary"....all one has to do is go back and look at who's been screaming the loudest on this board about Nadar's salary and that he must be fired.
Gilead should keep the momentum going and either purchase or partner with Cytodyn. Tony C is working his magic over there at a crucial time.
More unfounded speculation. What a surprise.
FYI...2018 hasn't occurred yet.
Good analogy, agree completely. I feel very confident in the science of Pro140 and am looking forward to the PE moments that are coming. I have been caught in several reverse splits before, and they always seem to end up being a death spiral. I guess if they did have to R/S, I would have to weigh the ratio and timing as to whether I would continue to stay invested. Thanks for the continued solid input, much appreciated!
Gestalt, I spoke directly with Jody Cain a couple of weeks ago and asked her specifically if they were planning to effect a R/S. While she obviously couldn't tell me outright what was planned, she did say with conviction that there was "currently no plan of a reverse split in place". My take from the conversation was that it wasn't even in the cards at this point.
Misiu: I believe you are correct, thank you for the clarification
They're talking about an upcoming reverse split as early as Monday over on Stock Twits.
Hyperbolic....thanks for going to the meeting and updating us on all of this, much appreciated!
I would ask you to simply go look at the recent history of Dryship stock and take note of what happens to a stock when they reverse split...especially an OTC stock that is hoping to uplist secondary to a RS. You're only conclusion will be that not only will the stock price be shorted all the way back down to pre-RS levels, but now a pre-RS investor will only own 1/4, or 1/8, or 1/20, etc, etc....of the shares once owned. Total wipeout. Happens all the time.
Not to state the obvious, but there are many investors that own this stock that never post on this board, or even look at it.
Wallstreet that last post wasn't meant for you personally, just a general tip
Just for the record, the "Sheikh" was promoting TENX recently also...and that didn't turn out so well. Point is...do your own DD, follow no one on blind faith.
Shane I agree enrollment is priority, but it is essential that they enroll only the best patients who meet criteria so the results of the trial will be the best they can possibly be. It may take a little longer but will pay off huge in the long run. GL!
Saltz - absolutely. And let's all remember, it's still only the first day of March in the first quarter....
Agreed. The unknown (to all of us investors) is what happens (if anything) when the dose is increased in terms of patient reaction, side effects, etc.... hopefully Pro140 remains equally benign and proves more effective in this effort...
Then mono will have a much better chance of timely completion.
I believe that during the last CC Nader explained that the cause of the rebound in those patients was possibly due to under-dosing related to those individuals having some up-regulation (increased numbers) of CCR5 receptors on the cell membrane. So theoretically simply increasing the dose or perhaps dosing twice per week would make available a sufficient amount of Pro140 to improve efficacy and reduce the viral load. I think we will see this strategy implemented going forward in both trials.
I took a screen shot of it as well.....
Cynmark, Glad to help! Funny how we can get stuck in a train of thought that way, do it myself all the time....
Been monitoring this board for about a year now quietly from the background, really enjoy all of the knowledge and updates shared here.
Thank you to everyone who posts regularly on this message board!
GO CYDY!
Cynmark24- I interpret Chump's post to mean that the information about the presentation is "out", or made public.....
