Cannabix is in the final stages of completing its "Beta 2.0" device and expects to have a pilot test ready device for scientific trials in a few weeks! The trial testing would be conducted to prove the accuracy and sensitivity of the Cannabix Breathalyzer, and the results would be used to apply for a court accepted device certification by the Minister of Justice in Canada and the National Highway and Traffic Safety Authority in the U.S.
ACCUMULATE!
Good stuff, thanks
"The marijuana industry is a business opportunity that's growing into a trillion-dollar industry. But we also believe that developing a tool like ours, to ensure safety on the roads, also offers a multibillion-dollar opportunity."

Hound Labs claims their device detects THC through the use of a "tag molecule". This molecule attaches to THC amplifies its presence and is read by a sensor. Not exactly sure of the spit separation component.
medchem could clarify in greater detail.
Stamford device "tests saliva molecules"

Agree, volume will tell the story this week if the breakout is underway. I believe it is...
BLOZF LONG!
Testing raises more questions than answers -
Based on information on how testing was conducted by Hound Labs, one could argue if privacy protection laws were compromised or if any individuals rights were violated in the process.
Similar unregulated field testing was performed recently by a Canadian insurance company studying the effects of impaired driving. "MPI is facing considerable criticism for its decision to ask participants stopped by police in a random checkstop to participate in the drug-use research. Some view the research design as coercive and invasive". Subjects were asked to voluntarily submit breath and saliva samples and were asked a series of invasive questions.
Basically, scientific trial studies are engineered to follow strict protocols that are overseen by a credited governing agencies. Product certification testing is seldom performed in house but conducted by independent third party laboratories.
To claim Hound Labs has completed trial testing is ridiculous.

Hey Shell
This keeps getting better and better!!
ACCUMULATE!!!
BLOZF LONG!!!
NICE volume in the first 15mns!
The company expects to have a pilot test ready device for scientific trials for later this fall
Cannabix and University researchers are developing an innovative FAIMS (field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometry) based instrument for the detection of ?9-tetrahydrocannabinol (“THC”) in human breath.
The Company also reports that development of the Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer prototype for the detection of trace amounts of THC, is progressing well and expected to be completed by late fall 2016.
All components in the “Beta 2.0” bench-
top device have been reduced in size even further, some as much as 5X. The Beta 2.0 device will also deliver greater sensitivity.

On July 28, 2016, Cannabix Breathalyzer Inc. assigned its right, title, and interest in and to certain US and Canadian patent applications to the Company.
The company announced its intention to exercise its option for the patent. The agreement provides Cannabix exclusive worldwide rights in the area of breath analysis of controlled substances. Cannabix and University researchers are developing an innovative FAIMS (field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometry) based instrument for the detection of ?9-tetrahydrocannabinol (“THC”) in human breath. In consideration for the patent license, the Company has issued 603,870 common shares to the University.
The company expects to have a pilot test ready device for scientific trials for later this fall, while the company continues to develop its Beta 3.0 version which will be a completely portable handheld device.
In July, the Company announced the development of its "Beta 1.0" bench-top device with a proprietary configurable high voltage power supply which operates on conventional power sources. All components in the "Beta 2.0" bench-top device have been reduced in size even further, some as much as 5X. The Beta 2.0 device will also deliver greater sensitivity.

Scientific trial protocols for testing will be developed with the assistance of Cannabix Scientific Advisors Drs. Marilyn Huestis and Bruce Goldberger and in accordance with the requirements in Canada of the Minster of Justice in Canada and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the United States.
Kal Malhi, President of Cannabix stated-
"Cannabix is a leader in the development of a hand held marijuana breathalyzer and we are fortunate to have the guidance of Drs. Huestis and Goldberger as we move towards scientific field trials of our device. Both are a vital part in helping Cannabix to move towards this milestone and get closer to delivering a highly accurate and court accepted evidence gathering tool that law enforcement can use to enforce marijuana impaired driving."
It's a handheld, trial tested by the LAPD, demonstrated by the girl on the video!!!
We're done...
NICE volume in the first hour!
