Glad you are here Golden Bull and couldn't agree more. You pointed the exact aspect many on here have debated and that is Markiplier's fans are the #1 most important thing for him and that video was perfect. It was simply an update to connect personally with his fans, which they want, and get them up to speed on what's been going with him.
AND he made a perfect plug for Red Giant and his comic. He wouldn't have gone through the trouble of a video edit to get the graphic in there if this wasn't. Definitely not the last we'll hear from him about it.
An hour ago it had 170,000 views, interesting to see how much by tomorrow morning. Thanks again Golden Bull, great points and appreciated. Thedocg.
Nice close. Volume a little lower but still solid to see. Just called TA and here is the latest:
NO CHANGE! 6.47 billion (ya we all know, wish it was smaller, but revenues, revenues, revenues!)
Markiplier issue #3 first cover over 621 likes in just 4 hours, only 25 shares so far so that has a lot of room to rocket. Nice to see Red Giant active as well.
Fan: "Does he know about these?"
Red Giant: "Yes he is co-writer."
So, I'd say in the very near future he will most likely promote much more than we are seeing now. Just the beginning. good day, thedocg.
POWFOLIO UPDATES!!!!! Or should I say uploads! TL - this should clear up your question as well.
POWfolio has a cool notice feature that pops up on the device that just shares some new content has been added. They had one today. As far as I can tell it doesn't go into huge details, but gives a quick blurb that a new issue/title has been added, or issues/titles added. You swipe it and it takes you right to the app.
According to their chat post - uploading "over 200 issues per day"! That is pretty staggering to say the least. 200/day roughly 1,400 comics per week are added to POWfolio - FREE for people to read.
28 publishers so far - 19 modern and 9 Golden's And this still have thousands and thousands yet to upload.
This is not built just for comic book die hard's and avid readers if we also look at their release statements. It's also about exposing the world of comics to thousands of others who may not have initially went and bought a comic or had the urge to do so. But, because POWfolio is free they now have discovered how cool they are and become hooked! Which in some cases, means they might end up going into comic shops or other online places to actually purchase comics.
POWfolio is not a sprint based on REDG and GLOWdot's statements they have shared. But this is pretty amazing for a start in my opinion. thedocg
Revenues, revenues, revenues! All in play now!
Great job finding that one quick Dmac! They stated each one is a tribute to a particular movie and definitely not by chance. They shared that on facebook. Curious to see how things fit as things get released starting July 27. Can't wait to see what the variant turns out to be. thedocg.
Edit: Any predictions on how many likes/shares this one gets!? issue #2 over 21,000 likes and over 2,000 shares and the vast majority came within the last week.
Thank you very much OW! really appreciate the support and knowing it's taken well. keep the train rolling! docg.
Spiderman, glad you are hear and nice to know the discussions are useful. things are truly bright for REDG with three solid revenue generators all at work now. best to you and good luck, docg.
All due respect duke, that is completely incorrect. Partly for the same reason you disagree that it has. Do you have proof it hasn't happened yet?
In the settlement, it specifically states that Oceana can put their shares in the market without filing the shares and the completely settlement is done once the balance is paid. On top of that, they will return any unused shares. We went through that a while back. I found it in the settlement. It is a loop hole for situation likes this so the financing company can get their money back quicker knowing the borrowing probably doesn't have money to file.
So, look into the trading volume days AJ pointed out and it starts to show there is very good chance they already have.
The hoppel case is no where near a point you are leading us to. He filed a complaint, not a lawsuit. The complaint is not required to be responded to until first week of June.
We already had a bunch of back and forths about these but that's when you were taking a break from this board or something.
anyway, just thought I'd get you caught up on those. I don't have time to dig back to my posts, but I put in the exact page and line numbers that state the exemption Oceana has to put their shares in play without a filing.
good day, welcome back! thedocg
Revenues, Revenues, Revenues: REDG begins this Monday with 3 products fully in place and generating revenues. For anyone new coming to the board - consider the following:
#1: Markiplier Series announced in March, starting taking pre-orders in April and now has pre-orders for both #1 and #2. In a month we most likely will see #3 pre-orders available.
#2: ZWAGBOX.com announced the third week of April and as of this morning 462 is the fan base (likes) for their facebook page. and remember, this does not include the people who don't bother with facebook.
#3: POWfolio is World Wide Live in the app store! (Revenues - 24/7 365 days a year) Spotify is the example Red Giant and Glowdot use when trying to get others to realize what this app is similar to.
ALL three are generating revenues now! At this point we can only create estimates as to how much, but consider very conservative numbers that have already been posted. There is no doubt a large O/S 6.47 billion as of last week and some will talk about dilution, which has already happened when one considers the volume over certain days - see AJ's posts regarding dilution and it is easy to see much of the shares Oceana and Typenex (the two major sources of the dilution) are already in play.
Regardless, when 3 solid revenue streams are rolling, those concerns can start to erode and confidence will build.
Lastly, just look at the press release POWfolio at launch and especially the Glowdot (CEO and COO) pointing out this is just the beginning of things for them and Red Giant!
Revenues, Revenues, Revenues! Only going to get bigger, especially as we get closer to Comic-con - all in my opinion of course. good day to all, thedocg.
POWFOLIO WILL BE ACROSS ALL PLATFORMS!!!!
Ok, for those who aren't aware of the potential of POWfolio here is something add that was posted on their facebook page.
"Is POWfolio going to be available on Kindle, Or PC?"
POWfolio: "Yes"
So, everyone should realize that this will be generating REVENUES over 100% of the market who has access to the internet. 100%!
Just some things to think about. thedocg.
Markiplier impact continues:
21,000+ likes on #2 issue cover and still growing
2.1k shares on same cover and still growing
fan base has increased by nearly 2,000 for Red Giant facebook page over last couple of weeks
ZWAGBOX is fast approaching 450 fans on their facebook page, and still growing, which is roughly 200/week so far
POWfolio is approaching 250 fans for their facebook page, and still growing. The vast majority have come in the last couple of days since launch.
And remember, there are lot of people who do not bother with facebook that should be considered - just won't know how many for a while.
What I think is important to consider is that we are barely into this release of products. We still have 2 1/2 months to comic-con, with REAL products to showcase. I am sure there will be a tapering off at some point, but considering San Diego is the premiere event, the revenues should be very strong going in, and as coop shared earlier, I really think a lot of us will be very surprised and how big of an impact. The bad thing is we have to wait probably until Oct. for numbers to come out. Which in the mean time we will probably get more filings that will look like crap on paper for some. So, we should keep in mind the products that are ALL bringing in revenues and will only grow as we progress. Just not sure that many in the OTC will be willing to wait that long. Me, definitely waiting! I have another post coming just for POWfolio. just wanted to make sure I shared some number updates! thedocg.
Well the exposure is definitely building as far as numbers at least seeing the product. Nearly 20,000 likes on #2 cover on red giant Facebook page. They've grown their fan base on Facebook by over 1500 in just the last couple weeks. Zwagbox is now over 400 and POWfolio about 150 which is over a hundred since release. Of course everyone wants explosion out of the gate, but I'll use Rick Strom's point, it's not a gaming app that needs huge impact at the beginning. This is a longevity app build for the long haul, like Spotify was. He used Angry Birds as example, they needed big splash, Spotify didn't and so far working out well. We'll see how things progress, it's only 2 days, we'll 1 and a half considering app store was down. Enjoy free comic book day! Thedocg.
Mr/Green! What most will not believe - those three in the room at the same time is proof of their friendship of each other. BUT as already hinted by others - could lead to future ZWAGBOX sponsors due to a portion of the proceeds going to charity! Of course all dreams and no reality - YET! Did anyone have a clue or believe ZWAGBOX, then it appeared. Then who didn't believe MARKIPLIER actually supported it until he posted it on his facebook page.
So, ZWAGBOX is a celebration of the 5 pillars, and one is the INTERNET celebrities.
That video just showed a combined subscriber following on youtube of nearly 75,000,000 subscribers.
We'll have to see if ZWAGBOX gets either one - my guess jack since Pewdie may be tied up with his own network!
nice find Mr/Green! docg.
Interesting idea Mr/Green. I'll check it out this afternoon if I can get some time. But I wonder if there is a snag with that regarding multiple accounts doing the ad for the same product. I have no idea, just throwing it out there. docg
Apple did fix things FINALLY! so should be ok for the app store. Rick had a nice share in investors group facebook about it - not his first snafu with apple. Sucked it had to happen on launch day, but at least they got it back and available for search in store and all is running smooth.
GEEZ just noticed, people definitely want REDG but they want it cheap! just saw the dip. But seriously, 1 tick here at these small volume trades?? I don't get it.
59.58 million at 3's x 7.87 million at 4's
Darn, he dropped, oh well. O/S still the same, he's definitely running out, and yes, revenues!!!! Glad enjoying the app.
My revenue projections people should remember already factors in that most people delete an app within the first 5 minutes. So, when people say, "there is no way xxxx amount of downloads means they are using it" - precisely and I agree. The formula that Standford Labs uses factors in this point.
And Rick Strom just confirmed the point that this is a LONG term project for POWfolio and just the beginning. Look at the numbers again here as to the revenue projections and notice what this means yearly!:
(every 21 days, 365/21 = 17.38. Multiply 17.38 to get projected yearly)
1 million downloads = $50,943.75 (yearly est. = $885,402.38)
2 million downloads = $101,887.50 (yearly est. = $1,770,804.75)
3 million downloads = $152,831.25 (yearly est. = $2,656,207.13)
4 million downloads = $203,775.00 (yearly est. = $3,541,609.50)
5 million downloads = $254,718.75 (yearly est. = $4,427,011.88)
I'm not bothering with higher projections because many don't believe it is possible. We'll see since it is World Wide Live!
Remember also, this is IF no one reads REDG material in the app because it is only based on 25% take of gross revenues, which is the split with Glowdot. (no, it was not in filing! it is what they stated in the Q/A - before someone already wants to counter about that fact.)
So, the only problem, that I thought was going to be easier, is finding out the # of downloads - have to get from Glowdot/Red Giant because from what I've found apple doesn't say, which I thought they did - go figure.
Still bid x ask looks strong:
47.25 million .0003 x 7.87 million .0004
REDG!!! thedocg.
VFIN at .0005 premarket no 4's on the Ask at premarket. What is your take on this AJH92? To me it appears your calculation of those dilution shares could very well be gone. without a filing we don't know 100% but based on those numbers, trading days with consistent volume and how they were listed - seems like they would be gone in my opinion. You are much better at explaining the technicals. thanks, docg
POWFOLIO IS LIVE IN THE APP STORE!!! And the Markiplier Magika issue #2 of the series is now nearly 17,000 likes triple the likes of any of the other covers. and (edit - 1,614) shares. There is no way that is just buy chance. There is definitely a reason - just wish we knew what the reason was.
But considering that number of eyes on one product - REVENUES should not be thought of lightly. Share price is going to move in time, just not at the speed the OTC likes it to move.
Rick Strom (CEO), Micheal Eng (COO) of Glowdot, and Benny Powell (CEO) Red Giant have a marketing plan that is being executed and as things progress this is going to be very very exciting to see. Again, just not at the speed the OTC likes.
But, let me steal Penny Island's nice phrase - been here (well 2 years for me) whats another 6 months! good day all, thedocg.
Ya that is a good point. They are trying so we'll see. Jenna shared in chat the Rick, Michael, and Benny have a full marketing plan to follow through with as things progress. With glowdot and red giant as a team I am confident they will make the right moves to make this as powerful as possible. Docg.
REDG and GLOWDOT are just beginning! As per the PR POWfolio is just the beginning of things to come. And people, especially those who are hung up on the ceo's past missed deliveries, these guys are delivering!!!!
Now that the app is out, when they say it is just the beginning, it is just the beginning. Benny did not screw up the launch and delivered something that many thought was not possible. Time to start moving forward - yes baby steps, but it is time to see the progress and where this is going.
Glowdot are developers and a private company - they are in business with REDG. I look forward to what they have in store next.
More is coming as the PR shared. Android Beta is just around the corner - in according to the COO of REDG (very soon!).
And we are still 2 full months away from comic-con! A true explosion potential having actual products, major products, not pie in the sky ideas!
Red Giant increased their fan base 1,500 in less than two weeks. Markiplier (15k likes for #2 cover) although many feel will not be sustaining, is going to be an huge factor. As the 8k pointed out 5 years!!!!!! So to think it's a 4 part comic and he's done is shortsighted. ZWAGBOX close to 400 fan base in just two weeks.
I see debt getting paid with 3 streams of revenue - notes being gone shortly - see AJ's previous posts in regard to those. And from there it is a much better future. It's hard to overcome the lack of trust many do have - but POWfolio's actual launch should be a major boost to gain some of that trust back in this company. You can still think the ceo is what he is, whatever you think, but in terms of future deliveries, we need to see them as much more realistic now with 3 revenue streams all being delivered!
Wish I had more in the bank to smack the 4's and help, just have to wait till their gone I guess - REVENUES REVENUES REVENUES!!!!!! thedocg
Thanks! POWfolio is going to make the wait for pps to get better a whole lot more enjoyable!
Ya gonna be a long shot for those bigs, but miracles can happen - we launched POWfolio! lol. For me having the free access and streaming is huge. the thing that this does that digital comics doesn't is easy access. Although I like checking them out, they don't stream, and that is really huge in my opinion, especially getting them all in there. Geez, wouldn't that be something though if just one of the bigs decided to get in. TWT as they say. thanks rick, docg.
I asked the very question early on about getting the old Detective Comics in their from the 30's. The response was they want them all and are trying to get them all. We'll see if they get them. Would be incredible, but tough nut to crack with those guys, not bad I'd say for day 1 - and free! docg
Heroguy, there are video ads but that is all controlled by the ad network. I've seen a bunch of them in beta. As far as REDG vidoe ads, I would think they need to submit that to the ad network to be included. Just a guess, but because the ad network controls the ads then they would need to work with them. hope that helps, docg
Rick, suggest that in the global chat, that you want to see certain publishers. Jenna replied to my request for G.I. Joe fairly quickly. I really feel they will do what they can to get what you are looking for, aside from the premium, which just isn't here yet.
I did suggest a regular schedule of bulk uploads that we could look forward to. You can see in the chat, Jenna stated that they are doing uploads daily right now, but I agree a nice schedule to look forward to will be better.
Please give them your suggestions. I guess we also have to keep in mind, it is most likely a skeleton crew right now handling all the uploads, due to resources. I see the foundation built though and hopefully with you avid guys pushing for what you guys want all those things can get added too. If you don't ask for valiant I'll ask for ya. take care, thedocg.
Thanks SooS for the follow up. I replied to Rickn along the same lines as to you avid/hardcore readers. For me it was the exact opposite. I wasn't an avid reader. I was barely a casual reader and I am definitely hooked, especially on the Golden Age. I think that is where the major potential lies for this app to really be explosive. I was never one to go and pay money for comics - just not me. My uncle, when he was alive, was hardcore and had boxes and boxes, and if he would be crazy for this app as it is Free and has comics of his generation.
The explosive part is, and I agree, getting more of the big names to lock in. Premium is intended to be a part of the app eventually. But it is just day one so we'll see. I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress, as an app, but even better with revenues generating and seeing that pps moving up. best to you, thedocg.
Ah, thanks for that follow up Rickn. That is a point the hardcore/avid readers made at the beginning with regard to content. The good thing is they plan on getting to premium content, so it's not a done deal by any means.
Considering they have roughly 15,000 titles yet to upload in Golden Age means you can check back regularly for ones you might be interest in. And it's free!
I think they did tone down the the full page ad pops though. They were definitely coming more frequent in beta, but I at least still had several in just one issue of Wayward. Actually, I'm kinda glad they toned it down for out the gate as not to annoy everyone without subscriptions in place yet. They are going to be coming very soon according to Strom at Glowdot.
Well, hopefully you'll find some good reading material in the Golden's. Look forward to you avid guys opinions as things progress and more content is loaded over time. thedocg.
Rickn, you don't like any of the Golden Age comics? I would of thought for sure you would have appreciated those. And this is FREE it is not premium for pay content. This app to me brings in many more readers in general because it is free. There may be many more readers out there but simply can't afford to pay for premium content - this will definitely be a benefit to them.
I think it was debated before with regard to premium content versus what they intended to do out the gate. The hardcore, modern premium content may fall into your opinion Rickn, just won't be for them until the big premium stuff starts showing. Well, they do plan no getting there, so we'll see how it goes.
The ads btw they don't have anything to do with. They are automatically generated through an ad network, and they do change on the bottom as you read, it is not the same ad the entire book. As far the large page ads, I remember in the beta they were definitely more frequent so may have toned them down simply for launch, really not sure, but I had several large full page ones going through a full issue of Wayward.
It's a start considering where we were! Still can't believe you'll ditch the golden age comics. thanks for the input rickn. thedocg.
MC, to clarify, they never intended to have it ready for both iOS and Android. In many previous posts Glowdot CEO made it clear that iOS will be first then Android. As of about a week ago, he shared that they are alpha testing Android as we speak - which means beta testing is on its way, then full launch. Their were many reasons for this that were shared by Glowdot, but also from our own DD. They have no intent on leaving out the Android market - in Fact they plan on doing a massive Manga aspect of POWfolio to hit the Asian market with Android (that is directly from Rick Strom, CEO of Glowdot).
I really wish we had both right now too, but just have to wait. I dug out an old iphone so I could beta test and use the app.
This is why they went with iOS first:
Android vs iOS which platform to build for first
Something we can look forward to though - complete 100% coverage of the market in due time! all the best, thedocg
Android is not out yet Mug2011. They are alpha testing right now and will be doing beta testing in the near future, but just isn't ready yet. iOS (Apple devices only) for now. Would be incredible to have beta testing at least ready for comic-con in July. This app is going to have some longevity in my opinion. 2 dozen publishers to start, thousands of comics already streaming, and it is just the beginning! all the best thedocg.
DARN IT OW! i stayed up past midnight hoping to the be the first! Oh well, I got it now and it was extremely gratifying to be a part of a project that is going to be so important to the comic industry for years to come. Those who don't get that have their heads buried in the sand. I'm not just talking about the modern comics - it is all the historic ones. Avengers Civil War is out this weekend and will be a major Blockbuster! We wouldn't have it without comics. G.I. Joe, Superman, Tales From the Cript, etc.... All because of comics, and POWfolio already has thousands of the old ones, including G.I.JOE, and will be uploading Tales soon, and from what Benny has already shared, all the others in time. Great day! thedocg
Great job Mr/Green! Many here just don't get how big he is to his fans and how big this is to Red Giant Entertainment. To say his fans are just not going to spend money on this, or they aren't going to subscribe, or well, it's just no going to be very much at all. They are just not comprehending how influential he is on the internet. Numbers don't lie and I don't need a filing to see that his impact is extremely significant to REDG!
Oh, btw POWFOLIO IS WORLD WIDE LIVE!!!!!! thedocg
Lol! I saw in powfolio chat last night that wasn't the case. It's today for everyone. But today has come! POWFOLIO!!!!! Docg
LOL, haul I think the app will be in the app store midnight or a little after - you could tell everybody you own that app for fun! docg.
Markiplier should do a youtube video on Free Comic Book with his brother Tom showcasing the app. His brother has been a part of Keenspot for 12 years! One of his comics is in POWfolio (I think I can share that now.)
Anyway, that would be awesome! Doesn't have to be a major blowout video - 5 or 10 minutes of them talking about getting into comics, especially his brother, then Marki having his own comic and NOW on Free Comic Book Day everyone can enjoy with POWfolio!!!
Probably won't happen, but sounded cool in my head.
In the mean time, lets enjoy this! It is a fricking big deal to have an app of this quality that we are part owners in - well the longs especially. docg
POWFOLIO COULD BE ALREADY LAUNCHED - READ THIS TO SEE WHY!
http://oleb.net/blog/2011/05/at-what-time-is-an-app-released-on-the-app-store-when-set-to-specific-release-date/
According to this article POWfolio is already available all over the world except North and South American because according to the article apps are typically released at/around midnight in that given country's international app store.
SOOOOO, if that is still true, then us on the east coast should only have two more hours to wait.
Granted the article is old and those standards may not apply today, but thought it was fun to check out. enjoy! thedocg.
Dr-T, to clarify my point and I believe coops, neither of us are advocating, promoting, or wishing for a split. The ONLY and it is the ONLY way a reverse split could be positive is when a company is showing strong positive net income. Not gross income - net income. And even them I would rather they go the route of a share buy back. I think the point that was trying to be made is, if it REDG had, let's say a consistent net revenue of 500,000/mo (NO I'm not saying it's happening before people jump on it - it's just to use as an example. If they have those types of net profits, I would want a share buy back. But if their goal is to apply for a nasdaq rating board then the share buy back might take too long to accomplish, therefore a split with positive net profits for at least a year would be a positive thing because they are showing strong profit margins that are consistent and larger investors are definitely more inclined to invest in them. Getting an upgrade to Nasdaq requires a much larger market cap.
We are a long way from that and hopefully that clears up at my point.
I was actually bringing it up to point out that it DID NOT happen as many said it would for weeks and months - it DID NOT happen and now there are revenues generating which will make it even less of a chance.
thanks Dr-T, hope that helps, I know we both want this to run so looking forward to tomorrow!!! all the best, thedocg.
A lot of positives in my opinion:
- Share price holding steady even with dilution we know is happening. (quite few felt this was going to zero bid and be done for. Not to mention R/S was also imminent and has yet to occur. It could still, but it hasn't. Frankly R/S wouldn't be bad maybe a year from now if revenues are real strong and showing growth.)
- Volume still holding steady over the last 14 trading days. A little lower than when we had a spike last week, but non-the-less still relatively solid.
- Whatever dilution that has occurred and perhaps did occur today, reduces the amount of dilution later from what we know (Yes, we don't know if other financing mechanisms, i.e. new notes have been created to keep going. But we don't know if they didn't either.) See previous posts regarding a large portion of dilution (AJ's and mine) most likely having already occurred, therefore, not the amount of dilution left as some may believe.
- Revenue #1 Markiplier series been in place since early april (pre-orders for #1 and 2# and soon to be #3 coming.)
- Revenue #2 ZWAGBOX been collecting the last two weeks (over 300 fans following on facebook - 150/wk isn't too bad to start. Of course we all wish it was in the thousands, but as they say Rome wasn't built in a day.)
- Revenue #3 POWFOLIO - WORLD WIDE TOMORROW AND COLLECTING NON-STOP 24/7 365 DAYS/YEAR!!!
I guess we'll always find something to complain about, but considering where things looked in Nov with no GSL, the DEC with Oceana, then Jan with really not much of anything - to NOW!!! Look at what we have NOW and in place getting revenues!!! I'd say REDG is moving in the right direction and I plan on hanging out for a while seeing how far we can take it. all the best to everyone, thedocg
At least launch is tomorrow in the app store. I agree could have been set up better, but I remember Glowdot guys saying administrative things had to happen too, so it could be Benny held this up as usual, or it was an apple thing, just won't know for sure. Bottom line - POWfolio is world wide live tomorrow! Something many thought was fake until we started beta testing.
The 8k wasn't great but honestly it wasn't a death blow. In fact, I was kinda glad it came out to start getting things in order and move on. The case though is not a lawsuit, just a complaint at this point and they have till June to reply to the complaint. From the time the complaint happened until June they have to address it, and with revenues already streaming it could already be resolved. Or it could be delayed till the last minute, I don't know, but it definitely is not a full blown lawsuit - fortunately.
You been in a year longer than me Penny and your closing was perfect - been here this long, whats another 6 months. Would have been great to have the mega explosion media blitz but as of now it's not what we think it should be. But a big difference - this next 6 months will be vastly different then ever before - #1 POWfolio World Wide #2 Markiplier Series #3 ZWAGBOX are ALL collecting revenues for the next 6 months and hopefully beyond!! How much? Ahh, what's another 6 months my friend, I'm with ya! all the best and with respect, thedocg.

Please see AJH92's post #66098 regarding the dilution and #66092 sharing the point of volume over the last 11 and 14 days 748 million shares traded.
A significant portion of the dilution could very well be gone. I'm not saying it is all done - just based on those numbers it is reasonable to think statistically a large chuck has been absorbed. docg
POWFOLIO uploaded more publishers AGAIN!! They just keep coming! Good day. Docg
