Isn't that called 'peat'?
Or was that my next door neighbor I'm thinking of, Pete Moss.
I think I know which company you're talking about.
BTW didn't you have a birthday just recently? In case I'm not having a brain fart, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
In the likely event that I am delusional, keep that birthday wish for your next birthday. :=))
I saw it. One of the most forgettable movies I've ever watched.
Just close your eyes and let your imagination run wild. Then post something humorous about this AP Wire article.
David Dickinson, who makes his living in the cattle business, has an environmental problem on his hands that is vexing state officials: a 2,000-ton pile of burning cow manure.
While city folks might have trouble imagining a dung pile of such proportions, they are common sites in rural states.
The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality has informed Dickinson that his smoldering dung pile violates clean-air laws and is working with him to find the best solution to extinguish it, said agency spokesman Rich Webster.
Simply dumping water on the heap is not the answer, Webster said, because of concerns about runoff to any nearby water source.
Dickinson first tried using heavy equipment to spread out the smoldering pile and extinguish the fire.
"But the problem was, it started in another spot," he said. "We've also had the fire department out a couple of times."
And still it burns.
No one is sure how the fire started, but a common theory is that heat from the decomposing manure deep inside the pile eventually ignited the manure.
Wilma Roth, who manages a restaurant along Interstate 80 about a mile north of the feedlot, said her customers have complained about the smoke, which wafts for miles.
"I'd just as soon forget about it," she said.
...and ends with a "T", and that ain't for Texas, and it ain't for Tennessee!
You summed up pretty well what I'm thinking and feeling about QBID. Holding... and waiting.
Q is my only pink & I don't spend much time thinking about it or worrying over it, but I am holding a large enough position to make some serious money when/if the stock does move.
It's just a pure stock market play to me. You win some, you lose some. I certainly don't see any reason to sell right now. Movement in the company continues, things are happening, it's like everything else worthwhile, you have to have the patience of a monk.
We put a 2-bedroom addition on our house courtesy of CMKX. Now THERE was some patience.
Indeed, LOL.
GILBERT, Minn. - Promoting this town's proud history is one thing. Naming the town's festival Gilbert Whorehouse Days is another thing entirely.
A group of angry citizens showed up at a City Council meeting Tuesday to protest the event. The festival's name refers to a time when Gilbert was known for its bars, gambling and "working girls" during Prohibition.
"The damage has been done," resident Fran Marolt said. "This is not a family-oriented activity."
The event doesn't include any of the activities that gave the festival its name, but City Council members still don't approve.
"It would give us a black eye," City Council member Dan Berry said.

Among other things....
RALEIGH, N.C. - A medical examiner studying a body in a morgue was startled when the man took a shallow breath.
Emergency medical technicians had declared 29-year-old Larry D. Green dead almost two hours earlier, after he was hit by a car.
Medical examiner J.B. Perdue was called to the accident scene Monday but did not examine Green then. Later, he was documenting Green's injuries when he noticed the man was breathing.
"I had to look twice myself just to make sure it was there, that's how subtle it was," Perdue said.
Green, 29, was taken to Duke University Medical Center in Durham, where he was in critical condition Wednesday.
Several members of the Franklin County emergency medical service have been suspended pending an investigation, said Darnell Batton, the county attorney.

Honest, we thought the guy was dead....

MSEV chart - I like the looks of all the news this piece of crap is coming out with. Flow rates for their new well in Canada came in at 49 barrels per day (Jan 24th).
Here is what their president spewed:
Bernie McDougall, president of MSEV stated, "This is the best day in MSEV's history.
To effectively increase our current daily revenue by over 500% from a single well is a huge step forward for MSEV."
As always, do your own DD, but I think this may become a mover.
Disclosure: I own 15,000 shares of this stock
ALSC chart - This company has enough cash on the balance sheet to buy up all their outstanding stock and have enough left over for several dozen good size yachts. They used to be one of the foremost names in quality semi-conductors when I was actually working in that industry.
There has not even been an analyst covering this stock since 2003. Forgotten, but not gone.
Only because it's a stock I watch all the time.
I have 7 or 8 stocks I'm always looking at, always checking out for a scalp opportunity. AMD was another one, until their big blow-out came.
So I quit watching it, and what happens? It gaps up on the open and runs from 15.10 to 15.70.
A sixty cent scalp would've been nice. I guess I'll start watching them again.
In semis, I can't help but think CRAY and ALSC will get up off the floor one of these days, so I watch them, too.
The big sell off for the day has already begun. Maybe it'll run out of steam and we'll have a late-day rally.
Waiter! Another serving of optimism for SpillWay!
WHOA! AMD just took off like a rocket.
Now that I'm out, it'll blast to 14.50 before lunch!
Out of Ford at 13.36, he said with a sigh.
Hard to make good money in this shaky market.
Thanks. Always helps to remember that!!
