I have been reviewing based on what you said. On the PEIX chart, which I am still holding, it hasn't hit the the 50ma of .84 yet, which is support. If it does, I am going to sell.
If I am reading the Full Sto correctly, it is pretty well below 20 right now. I come up with 7.88. So, it would not be an entry yet either.
Sound about right for what the chart shows?
Thanks. I believe I have a feel for the RSI, still trying to get a good understanding of the full sto.
Sounds good. I have been pretty fortunate in the past buying low, except I never know when to sell. That seems to be pretty important too!
Thanks. I am doing my homework. Looking forward to January. Seems to be several potential great gainers on the board that you and Augusta keeping us up to date on. Looks like just a matter of time.
IAMLEGEND, thanks for the links and Merry Christmas to you!
Not seen another order go through since the big drop. Anyone trying one?
Sounds like a waste of time for that amount of $. Maybe they will move on to something else soon.
OK, thanks.
Seems to be very deceptive. Don't see how they could do that if there were not shares available. Those buys should be pushing us up, instead of holding flat. There goes another 3,590, still showing 100 available.
Is it just me, or level II seems worthless for shares available? Been showing 2, 100 share offers @ .355 for awhile. By what I am seeing, there has been well over 10,000 shares purchased @ .355 in the past few minutes, and 18,500 since 10:10 AM.
What gives? Are they hiding the real amount they have to move at that price? Very frustrating trying figure out when we are going to move. Please let me know if I am out to lunch.
Thanks
I know where that is. It has been a few years, but I believe I played a few softball tournaments there.
IAMLEGEND - Thanks for the updated chart and the tip.
AF - have a safe trip and Merry Christmas there. I live on the northeast side of Knoxville.
Doesn't suprise me. That is the way almost everyone around here feels, although most everyone seemed to like his wife, though. I would not bet on Barkley coming back. Seemed to impress folks this year. Won't be suprised to see Kiffin recruit well.
TN program is in bad shape. Dooley seems like a decent guy, but if he can't recruit, he don't have a chance.
I guess alot of the boosters wanted to run Fulmer off, eventhough he had one of the best overall winning percentages in D-1, plus a National Championship. They thought the offense was stagnant when Cutcliffe wasn't there, and were probably right. But sometimes when you get what you wish for..... Plus Chavous left. Let's see now, I think he is preparing for a BCS championship game. Good move there too! (Insert sarcasm)
Appreciate it. I will be watching for that.
Thanks for the chart. So, I am trying to learn this, but I am thinking if it has a green day tomorrow and closes higher than it opens, could a reversal be in the works?
Thanks
TN Volunteers!?! I noticed you like USC, so what does your friend think of your head coach. He not very popular around these parts. I live in TN myself.
IAMLEGEND, I saw the PEIX chart you posted about 20 minutes prior to the close. Is there any changes to it based on the close?
Thanks
FBN - Got in this one Friday per your recommendation. Going to recommend it to some of my friends too. Seems like it is definitely headed in the right direction.
Thanks
PEIX daily candlesticks, thanks. I am watching closely.
Hope so. I could use a few good ones.
Yep. Lot of good guys here. Looking forward to improving my strategy and discipline. I also like the look of XFN, DHT, and TAT where they are currently trading. I will probably get in soon, now the trick is if I can get out with a profit before the roller coaster starts...LOL
Thanks, Matt. Sounds like many of you guys have been where I am at.
BTW, this board beats the crap of the BB Haven and the boards like them.
Appreciate the encouragement. eom
Believe it or not, I have been "trading" full time for about 3 1/2 years. Like I said, I have gotten lucky on a few, but definitely struggle with the discipline and T/A required to stay in this. I really want to continue doing this, but I know if I do not change my mode of operation, my time and capital is not going to last. I have played alot of sports over my years, and I am not one to give up easily. I am going to apply this to my trading and get in there and work harder.
I definitely will check the video out.
Appreciate it.
I would trade out of the position, instead of avg down on this one. I am working to learn how to read the charts, but it is not coming really easy. I am a manufacturing engineer by trade, pretty well versed in probability and statistics, I thought it might not be very difficult to understand, but I am finding I have to really think it through.
Again, I appreciate your and the others responses to my questions. I have been trading for awhile, but just basically trying to buy stocks that have been beaten down, which seems to work pretty decent for my entry points, (probably by luck), but I am having a heck of time knowing when to sell! Then I end up on the roller coaster and not protecting my capital.
Thanks
Thanks, IAMLEGEND. I noticed on the other chart, you had the weekly 20ma circled. That is quite aways from where it is now, if I am understanding correctly. Also, to me the indicator is still trending down, so if it breaks .84, I need to get out, or maybe I should get out anyway for a while, since it is trending downward.
Appreciate your input.
Thanks for PEIX chart, IAMLEGEND. I have been reviewing the chart you posted. Looks like it is almost at the 50 dma. What is your opinion where you think it will go to before it turns up, and then what do you think would be the upward target?
Thanks
Yep. Feel like at this point though, may not have much further to fall, but there are no guarantees.
Appreciate it, AF. eom
matt24d, that is me with PEIX. I know the indicators and pps are trailing down, but I really like that the company has paid off their convertible debt early and had record revenues last quarter.
I know they added some shares to the float recently to generate about 8 million dollars, but the majority of those proceeds where used to purchase more interest in the ethanol manufacturing plants holding company. As long they are not using the rest to make payroll, etc., then I am ok with the additional issuing of shares, as long as it is limited and used for growth.
I, like you with TAT and the others, find it really difficult to turn loose my position here. I am fortunate in the fact that I bought in at an avg or .38, but I have rode the roller coaster to here, not selling a share, giving away alot of $.
Due to this, I have been asking questions of Augusta about reading charts, and learning to use them. I really believe the charts have dictated this move down, and may indicate a further down, but I still feel it could turn and go back up anytime.
I have been reading this board everyday for about the past month, and like the folks on it, along with the info. Appreciate everyone's willingness to share info. Alot of good guys, imo.
I keep telling myself that, but it is getting pretty frustrating. Wouldn't be suprised if that is what alot of folks would love to see is traders throw their hands up in frustration and dump.
I wish it was January now, LOL.
PEIX chart, ok, so based on this, it is most likely to be down or flat until the daily candle reaches or exceeds Thurs candle, correct?
Does the gap on Thur where it closed Wednesday @ 1.06 and opened Thursday @ 1.00 need to be filled, or should that not be a concern at this point?
Thanks
Thanks for the book recommendations. I am definitely going to check them out and learn more about T/A. I also appreciate yours and the other Orions' tips and recommendations. It helps to see the target buy-in points and target sell points.
By the way, did yesterday's trading change anything where PEIX is concerned?
Thanks,
LB
AF, appreciate it, and good luck in the contest.
AF, regarding football contest, if I did it correctly, I should be in. By the way, is there a particular book you would recommend for learning to perform T/A on charts. I am trying to learn and know you and several others here seem to rely on them.
Thanks
Augusta, I am trying to learn more about reading charts. Is there a book that you would recommend, or what would you suggest would be the best way to learn how to read charts?
Most of you guys really depend on these and are successful. I look at the ones you guys post and know just about enough for me to get me in trouble.
Appreciate it.
Don, love to see that info also. The last two days were pretty brutal in addition to the ones that were already short. Going to go hard when covering starts.
Bxk, I believe 4.6 million went for 7 % more ownership. Hopefully, they are using the balance wisely to grow the business.
I for one, will be glad when December is over.
PEIX, that is the way I see it, AF. They are issuing the shares to pay for more ownership of the plants, which as you mentioned, should increase their revenues, and hopefully profitabliltiy.
My understanding is that the company that they are purchasing the ownership from is a holding company that bought the plants from them in the bankruptcy. So it appears they are trying to regain ownership, and maybe even control of assets they lost in the BK. I do not want to see dilution occur very often, though. It would definitely scare off investors considering their history.
If anyone has any additional info regarding these transactions, I would appreciate hearing them.
Thanks
