No, apples to cinnamon...they are both foods but dissimilar foods.
Using IBM was to emphasize a company that everyone has heard of. It obviously does not mean a global, profitable, well respected company versus a penny company devoid of revenue much less profit.
I purposely used IBM to emphasize the point...got it now???
Reread post 95799. However, if you don't feel comfortable then do what your heart says...you may be correct, but I along with others are waiting for the definitive answer. Either way, I wish you success and a profitable 2010!
Thank you Vianna!
If you sell tomorrow there will be people to buy your shares up until an announcement. If they announce a failed deal selling would be ideal; if the deal only takes a few more days, you will kick yourself for missing at least a 10x increase. If you aren't willing to see this to its finale then you should not have gotten into this in the first place. Risk = potential reward.
The Company said they will issue a release WHEN they have something to say. Don't hold their feet to the fire if it takes them a few days into the new year to get resolution with a buy/no buy. If a company like IBM says they "hope" to get resolution by end-of-year but takes a few more days, would the market sell because they thought the company was failing or would they hold? I suspect if there was a no-buy decision they would have already had a news release after they insiders sold.
Good Morning all. Are we there yet? GLTA
I was just having a little fun...very dry humor.
93990...Can you confirm your statement?
True, but with potential 10x gains, why aren't people willing to bid up the stock at all? The tape sends a message; show me!
If that is so, who is left to buy??? A more plausible explanation is the market is waiting for ACUTAL confirmation, otherwise it would have been bid up in anticipation.
Low volume considering the news release.
IMPORTANT QUESTIONS:
(1) Is there only one bidder?
(2) If so, what is the plan if negotiations break down?
(3) How many potential companies are there with $100,000,000+ to spend?
(4) How many other companies can find the financing to do a $100,000,000 deal? It must be a limited amount.
I wish the market showed some confidence and bid the price up to at least 1/3 of the potential deal price.
THOUGHTS???
That is correct. See the quote from the December 1st press release:
Fortress Management is now prepared to state that a successful sale of the Company's interests in the two Gold Properties, after the settlement of outstanding Loan Notes due by the Company in the amount of US$5 million, would not be an amount of less than US$0.003 (three tenths of a cent) per share for our stock. This calculation is predicated upon the current number of outstanding shares of our stock
Glad you like dry humor, but if a buyout DOES occur, what price would you say it might be? Based upon the press releases, it appears they don't want to dig for gold, just sell it for a hefty profit and get on with life.
What is everyone's guess on a buyout price? I say $0.0035. The prize is a pack of Rolaids for all the anguish we incurred. :>)
The way to evaluate it is to see what competing mines of the same type are going for in terms of price per oz in the ground.
"excepts" = ACCEPTS!
The bottom line in no one on the outside knows exactly what is happening on the inside. Therefore, either go for the ride or sell enough shares to cover your initial speculation and let the remainder ride. People on this board can guess until the cows come home but only the insiders know what is ACTUALLY happening...it could be either bad or good so either go for the gamble with its concomitant reward or hedge your risk.
Considering the last news release was one of the most positive releases in FFGO's history, I would like to see significantly more volume and a kick up in price. Today's trading does not indicate the market is a believer yet. Hopefully the buyer consumates the deal and soon.
What if no firm wants to invest $100 million or can't secure credit for that amount? What does FFGO do to be prudent; wait or sell for less? Not bashing, just evaluating both sides with what I believe are legitimate issues. To assume a sale for at least $100 million will go through is contrary to what the company has said. $100 million is the bottom line goal of the company.
Volume half of yesterday's. Calm before the storm???
ctla 4 play, I think you are correct.
Perhaps it would be useful to focus on the bigger picture of what a potential buyer would pay for the deposits per ounce rather than the current price and volume. Does anyone know the quantity of the 3 types of reserves at FFGO's land; proven, inferred, and likely? This would give an indication of the price per ounce in the ground and offer a comparison versus other mines.
Don't be so quick to embarass yourself. We are here to exchange ideas. Texas77 responded with message 87851 saying he disagreed and is familiar with "FFGO speak" without attacking. Also, I was saying it doesn't necessarily mean a news item is coming out today. Can't it be they are working diligently to get something consumated and have to stay focused without outside distractions? A news item today is possible but not set in stone. Tomorrow is another day. Best of luck.
This doesn't necessarily mean something is coming today although I hope it does.
Would you post that please. Thnx.
Hi Gertrudegold,
I see the same thing. I hope it is buying from new investors rather than more buying from this board alone so an upward move can be sustained. Also, the bid has to rise to $0.0004+ to show the $0.0003 flippers are washed out. It would be nice to see a $0.0005 bid soon, too. Good luck!!!
I will be eagerly awaiting along with most others here.
ok, just curious. Thanks for the response. Wishing you great luck and prosperity. fyi, your luck is also my luck :>)
Where did you get 11:20 - 1:20 rather than 12:00 to 1:00? Institutional programed trading will not deal in stocks this low.
Almost.
Volume is slowing down a bit.
When do you think we will see $0.0006, not just $0.0005? Early next week???
Must be busy then working a deal....
You can't say this with authority before the company issues a dividend date. This is how rumors get started and specifically what the company warned about. Conjecture is not fact.
EXCELLENT QUESTION!!!
Not necessarily! If the loans can't be paid in cash they may be paid in stock with substantial dillution. It's in the 8K.
