Well, had a small group in chat tonight. Stocks mentioned were GR (tip from archie's corner), AATK (for the risk takers), KM (play the bounce from $3.22), BCRX (gain of 40% from last week's chat), and XOXO (BTS member actually held to $.199).
A couple of quick mentions were USIX, DITC, PEOP and CORV.
Take 'em for what there worth, LOL.
Have a good night- Tim
mmayr- my day starts at 0400. Don't want to get up any earlier, LOL.
BTS has a chat tonight, so check the board later for those that I post somewhere around 2300.
The "Tim's" of the world thank you for the update, LOL. Personally, I'm done speculating on this one. Takes to much time- with little reward at this point. When the volume picks up or management start communicating, maybe worth spending time on.
In the meantime, having fun making money in other stocks.
Good trading- Tim
mmayr- just click on their profile. Then add membermark.
Pitch, good job. Glad you are making money. Last check I did was $4.56 :)
TRAC is moving good also. I'm hoping TRIB is next, LOL.
A piece from the military retirement/savings newsletter:
3. Safety Plays
In the wake of the September 11 terror attacks, certain
companies and industries have gained investment appeal:
Telecommunications companies may gain ground as a result
of air travel cutbacks, which will mean more business is
done by phone. In addition to increased use of cell
phones, it's probable that video and advanced audio
teleconferencing will gain popularity.
Private jet use is bound to increase as many business
travelers remain skittish about commercial flights. Even
before September 11, America's private jet fleet had hit
8,000, up from 5,000 in 1990.
Private security concerns report a surge of inquiries.
While companies supplying guards and alarms have been
growing slowly, firms offering radio frequency
identification, electronic surveillance, closed-circuit
TV access control systems, and biometrics had been
reporting annual growth rates up to 50%, even before
September 11. (Biometrics is the term used for the
identification of individuals through retinal or iris
scanning, fingerprints, face recognition, etc.)
Defense contractors will attract more business. For the
past decade, federal outlays on defense have increased
at a slower rate than inflation. Going forward, defense
spending might exceed the inflation rate by 5%, which
means annual increases in the 8% range. Most of the
increase is expected to be in aerospace and electronics,
rather than ships and armor.
Hey Gang, Don't forget chat tonight 9:00pm (EST). Hope to see ya there. Lots of good things to talk about. Look at the stocks discussed last week-
overview of chat session timhyma
(38/M/Lowville, NY) 12/27/01 11:23 pm
Hey all, For those that missed chat. The following stocks were mentioned.
ENDV, BIGT, MIR, TRIB, BCON, FMAR, EBNK, CIMA, BCRX, TRAC, and NXCD.
Of those, these were thought to be considered for further DD:
BCON, BIGT, TRIB, BCRX, TRAC.
Also discussed was the possibility of a club get together. Golfing and gambling seemed to be the interest of the chatters.
Looking for your thoughts on this.
I will try to put together some profiles in the morning.
- Tim
Thanks EC, Looks like our discussion may pay off, eh?
I thought the Yahoo site was messed up, 'cuase I'm at work and dealing with filters.
Eating any doughnuts up there, LOL
mmayer- got a stock scam email on them yesterday, FWIW
MED.
Anyone know anything about it. It looks interesting. A lot of Acquisitions. Looks like they converted all preffered stock to common. Authorized shares rose from 200mil to 400mil. So, I expect some dilution will be in the works.
Overall, the chart looks good to me.
Comments please- Tim
Rouster- check you AOL in-box
LOL- you da man. Thanks again
OK. I enjoy the quality here and worry about the ash and trash moving in as RB implodes.
If you feel your system is immune to this, I trust your judgement. you've earned credibility in my book.
Thanks
Evening rouster.
Yep- still have FWC and HOFF on the watch list, instead of the play list myself, LOL. Are you checking the yahoo board? Lots of good stuff being posted there also. Running a monthly stock challenge to make some fun. You will recognize some folks there from the North board- Tim
I would not get to caught up in it or will will have people viing for marks as they did dollar signs on RB. JMO- Tim

BEL (BEV on TSE)
http://www.bennettenv.com/
This company has traded on the AMEX since Aug 01, so a lot of the sites I use does not show much info. I like the chart, and rumor is next quarter will rock (tune of 13mil). One of the BTS members is checking on the Kirkland site, where they are planning to build a plant. Could be a quick gainer, as there is not much volume. Comments welcome- Tim

Bought a couple of pennies on the Nas. USIX, PEOP and NXCD. Big gambles ($100 on each, LOL). Also traded ADSX- now have 100 free shares. Just as fun, but at least you can profile them.
Thanks, I'm gonna try to get it under $3.
You sticking to OTCs or gonna broaden your horizons (grin). I've been having some good luck playing the $5 and unders on the Nas and NYSE. Bought some TRIB yesterday, looking at ESLR if it dips this week

Posted this on our Yahoo board, but thought I would get a prespective from the Ihubbers. Comments?
First profiled this on 10 Dec as a DEC-JAN watch @$2.59. Updated the numbers here, and think it is still worth checking out. I may buy some if it dips under $3, as the chart changed from oversold to overbought. These guys are grouped in the semiconductor sector, so not sure how that effects them. In the short term, I think $4.50- $5 is possible. Mid- term (12 months) I agree with the analyst that $7 is achievable. Long term I believe as the renewable industry grow, these guys will become profitable and the stock will flourish (price range $15-20 in 5 yrs- before splits).
ESLR
Evergreen Solar, Inc. develops, manufactures and markets solar power products that are capable of providing reliable and environmentally clean electric power throughout the world. In the Company's String Ribbon technique, strings are pulled vertically through a shallow pool of molten silicon, and the silicon solidifies between the strings to form a continuous ribbon of crystalline silicon. Once the ribbon has reached the desired length, it is cut and prepared for cell fabrication. If its development programs are successful, the Company expects to continue to increase the conversion efficiency and wattage of its solar panels as it expands manufacturing capacity and shifts from 5.6-centimeter-wide String Ribbon wafers to eight-centimeter-wide String Ribbon wafers in 2001. The Company is also developing frameless solar panels, solar roofing tiles and other building-integrated solar power products for the building industry.
. For the nine months ended 9/30/01, revenues fell 1% to $1.6 million. Net loss applicable to Common rose 66% to $8.7 million. Revenues reflect the completion of research contracts in early 2001. Higher losses also reflect higher cost of product revenues related to the expansion of the pilot manufacturing operations.

Eventually renewables will take over, eh?
Canada Launches New Renewable Energy Initiatives
OTTAWA, December 31, 2001 - The Government of Canada is keeping up with its commitment to clear its air with two new initiatives - one that seeks an increase in the amount of renewable energy used for electricity generation and another that would lower emissions from new fossil fuel power plants.
The renewable energy push comes in the form of the draft Guideline on Renewable Low-Impact Electricity, which will help consumers identify electricity generated from renewable energy sources. Once finalized in early March 2002, the guideline will formalize licensing and certification criteria under Environment Canada's Environmental Choice Program. The new power plant emission guidelines will be issued during the summer of 2002 under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA). The national emission standards will apply to new coal, oil, and gas-fired steam-electric power plants and will cover sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and total particulate matter (PM) in line with the performance capabilities of current best available technologies. According to Environment Canada, the new emission limits would mean at least a 60 percent reduction in NOx emission limits, a 70 percent reduction in PM emission limits from those in the existing Guidelines, and would introduce a new minimum of 70 percent reduction in SO2 emissions from uncontrolled levels.

Hello KP,
Thanks for responding and you are welcome on the "words". I have not put much effort into RTEK lately, as I've moved on to stocks that have been moving. Still check here and have it on my watch list, waiting for it to move. I will probably hold for another year- either it moves or I write it off to cover gains in other issues.
Thanks for the DD and please come visit BTS once in a while. Some good discussion going on, could use your common sense.
Happy new year to all- Tim
May be a good one pitch. Thanks, but I've got my plate full with the sub dollar specs, LOL.
Rouster, LOL. I think we are all coming to the same realization. My last post on RB was on the RTEK thread. Ain't going back to RB. Much more comfortable here and with the BTS yahoo club.
Happy new year my friend.
BTW, you need some snow down their in southren cali, LOL
