Well, I reside in New Jersey and it was probably someone from one of the many corrupt municipalities/unions/ street workers - they probably accidentally spilt their coffee (on their coffee breaks(s)onto a computer wire. Happens all the time in the Garden State. :)
How can anyone move anything or how can you see anything going on if the OTC is down?
The market is open for trading - but it NOT a settlement day.
OK - I thought the poster was referring to FNMA only.
But the question is: any orders that WERE put in before it shut down, will those orders be "active" the moment it reopens? That's what I'm getting at.
Someone earlier mentioned that the MMs, and others "caused" the shutdown because they were shorts and were losing big $$$$. Can they really do that? If so, isn't it illegal? More so, can't that be traced, investigated and then prosecuted?
Curious
Why these high sell orders? If you own the stock, you own the stock - nobody can steal them.
That's funny - I thought those descriptions applied to libs.
Disclaimer: I'm a libertarian with no party affiliation.
Risky: Only 8 minutes in and you've already used the "gap" word. I think that's a new record.
Go FnF
Perhaps one day at $30 but you asked for an exit price TODAY.
Are you going to trade on the way up?
LOL - in your dreams; I'd be thrilled with $3
nice qualifier.
I'm out for the day.
Other than a normal down day of a few cents; you otherwise missed all the intellectual, stimulating banter that passes back and forth on this board.
We all on this board realize that. The problem is that the people IN the government (at least most of them) do NOT realize that. Therein lies the problem(s).
and my $2.50 was totally incorrect
:(
Totally unrelated question: Anyone here thinking of buying Twitter tomorrow? I'm definitely NOT.
Please clarify:
YOU are not expecting FNMA to run until next year?
or
FNMA is not expecting FNMA to run until next year?
which is it?
wise words there crawford
I'm no expert but this seems to reek of manipulation. If the stock were REALLY tanking, it would be falling like a knife; however it isn't.
Maybe someone else could chime in on this one.
There's probably not a MASTER manipulator but several and I thought we established a long time ago that it was the ARCA, NITE, et. al people and/or other high-frequency trading platforms.
Correct?
If you are flipping shares at, say, .06 a share, you must be loading up a bundle of shares; which implies you have a bundle of $$$ in your pocket.
Good luck. I'm envious.
My guess: $2.50
Hey Risky! Was wondering when you would chime in with your Gap expertise
Let's go!
With all due respect MH, you could've left off that first sentence. Sometimes your air of superiority gets a little tiresome - but I still wish you well $$$-wise.
hammers, candles & cups, oh my! :)
I stopped talking politics with my friends, family and bloggers a long time ago - a total waste of time- nothing gets accomplished and no one's mind is ever changed.
There's no point. Both sides of the aisle are irrational.
If I laugh any harder, I think my ribs might crack
LOLOL
Yep - that's what this board has been saying for the past 2-4 weeks. Nov. 12. I wonder if it will be AFTER TRADING HOURS?
That's been the trend recently. Up a little in the a.m. - pull back around 10:30-11:00 - then up again in the afternoon.
(Except for yesterday - when it tanked a little)
So, to be clear, if the combined earnings (profits) are $41.5B, then those $$ will be credited to our government coffers and we will be net zero.
So I'll be looking for that figure on Nov. 12th.
Two things:
1. I thought I read a post on here a couple of weeks ago that said that the net zero would happen with the next earnings. If I'm wrong on that, so be it.
2. One sure-fire way to fix D.C. mess is with "one-term only" term limits. Would take the buying&selling of politicians off the table and then maybe something would/might get done. I never, ever vote for an incumbent - I always vote for the newbie.
And is it safe to say that net zero will happen the day after earnings?
Yep - I understand. I'm thinking about taking some profits pretty soon (perhaps after earnings); then trading smaller portions. I am well aware of the risks involved.
Exactly - that's what most of us fear (not my house, of course, just my retirement account)
Cool information there. I'd be thrilled for $8-$10 - would put my butt in 7 figures.
Agree with your thinking, BUT the key word in your post is the word TOP. How does one know when/what that is?????
NO! I'm long and strong; but when we are dealing with $$ like this (at least for me) it gets a little dicey some mornings/afternoons.
Coupled with the fact that EVERYTHING in Washington is dysfunctional. Doesn't make for a calm stomach.
Whew! For longs, this stock is not for the faint of heart. These gyrations can be nerve-rattling.
I'm assuming your tongue is in your cheek.
There is no such thing as a jinx - in stock trading OR in life itself.
