Scatching my head on that one Honey!
So you'd agree a current $4 to $5 pps for Titan is a fair estimate at least based on TRXC's valuation?
...and yet investors in this space have a choice between TITXF and TRXC and we cant seem to get many TRXC stakeholders to see the light and make the better choice! (IMHO of course)!
So they were at $2 with how many S/Os? Roughly 300 mil?
I dont recall it getting that high either but I never watched it closely back then. Must've been a quick blip followed by a major downturn. Who knows?
I agree with your analysis CUIN. Ximedica is a great alliance.
Just a thought...
I'm going to go back to previous posts Ive made about the approval process. FDA is gov't. This industry is heavily regulated AND very political. Intuitive has deep pockets AND its HQ is in the Bay Area (Silicon Valley) which is a cesspool of lobbyists, powerful politicos (ie Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, et al.), corporate corruption, etc. Someone mentioned the tax advantages a business in Canada may have. Sounds like a strategy ISRG could use to lobby politicos to hold up or draw out a FDA approval. No need to expedite an approval on a foreign company. It would be interesting to see who some of the donors to California Congressional and Senate candidates/incumbents are this year and in 2016 - if any links to Intuitive. Again, just a thought as we pass the time on this board.
For the sake of argument, if we did a hypothetical 1 for 2 R/S now, we'd be at roughly 50 mil S/O, ~$4.40 pps (with additional retraction due to psychology of R/S). Again, TRXC hit a $14 pps high before their pull-back. Plus their mgt has had several missteps other than the R/S. We are not even in the same ballpark!
I concur... and without sounding like Im bashing Titan, they just dont (or didn't) have the personnel from the get-go to make those connections. Titan Mgt / Ximedica is as strong as can be in product development and R&D support. But, up to this point they have been sub-par in investor relations and business development.
I said that... they have roughly 62 mil and Titan roughly 100 mil.
TRXC has a negative EPS, >$62 mil S/O, a pps currently around $5.80 (has been as high as $14 factoring in the R/S) and a robot (Spider) no one bought. ...And their Surgibot technology is (arguably) inferior to TITXF and not much farther along in development. There is no reason TITXF couldn't / shouldn't be at +$4 pps.
Good point!
MY POINT EXACTLY! Thank you! They should keep the public informed with progress updates so people keep talking about Titan! The Milestone Timeline listed on the website is very broad/general.
Right, but they havent officially "frozen" the design yet. It can still be tweaked. A prototype was completed early this year.
Tissue tests on humans (cadavers) then clinical trials need to show safety and efficacy.
No, Point said he expects the finished product by the end of this year or early 2015. He also said, and I agree, the design freeze a MAJOR milestone.
So is it safe to say the regular "flippers" and MMs are good for about a 15 to 30% run-up and pull-back each time significant positive news is announced?
lol, yes I do! Some people went way beyond $100 in projections.
I agree with the daily analysis of the pps. As long holders we seem to be overly critical of the day-to-day. However, the point some of us are trying to make is the significance of the uplist. We need to move toward that goal. At the point SPORT is marketed in the USA, we, as investors want this pps as high as possible BECAUSE of the chance for A M/S at any time.
I think you missed my point about the industry "needing" this... I meant it in a business sense and not a medical sense. The industry needs this robot to break the monopoly (ISRG). In a medical sense I agree with you. We can exist without it. But the technological advance is significant!
Exactly!
No one is asking Titan to shoot their wad via PRs. Strategic PRs outside of major milestones is what we're after. For instance last week... in hindsight maybe they should have waited a few weeks to announce Bertner Advisors and allowed the milestone announcement to take hold by itself. We'd probably be where we are today pps wise and then perhaps an announcement on June 30th about Sherry Bertner could have given us a lift past $2.50 heading into the holiday weekend. Also, the timeline on ithe website is vague... this is an opportunity to inject regular progress reports to investors. They need tactical communications and they need bigger reach!
I agree with that assessment. If they are going to maintain status quo, then keep BB on and save 15K per month!
Not quite sure why some of the people on the board don't see the significance of pushing for increased pps to support an uplist. Can anyone explain? As we move toward commercialization and we aren't on NASDAQ, there is more potential for a R/S. Consensus here is "No R/S" right? So there should be a push for an organic uplist by increasing pps soon.
The flippers are here to stay... until we stabilize on a new exchange. The longs and the inexperienced day-traders are being "played" by the MMs right now. The past week was a perfect example.
20k per month is insignificant for the value Bertner will bring through connections alone.
Jayhawk, I was in your camp for quite awhile and have the same mindset with most publicly traded start-ups out there. I've looked at alot of other "promising" companies in this space and have come to the conclusion that this company has something "special" in the works. Surgeons WANT this thing, the industry needs this thing, and the developers are not a "fly-by-night" outfit - they have personal ownership/stake in its success. This stock has significant "speculative value." I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment that the company, on paper, has little value until it starts selling. That never stopped investors in the past from pumping millions into worthless tech stocks in hopes that they would flourish. Even ideas have value. The idea and design of SPORT has significant value even if it's never approved. ..and SPORT is way past the idea stage. I still believe FDA is our biggest hurdle and there will be other bumps in the road. I also believe this company, at this stage, without selling a single unit, has greater value than the market has shown.
Agreed. I had some disagree with my (similar) analysis yesterday but Im sticking to it. Titan is entering crunch time in both the development stage and getting long(er) term investors on board.
Thank you Honeycomb... my sentiments exactly. I was harping on it all day yesterday. lol
Right but maintain at least $4 pps for 90 days, right? There are different requirements for companies that are making profits to those that are not...or those that have been downlisted.
So getting to $4 is one hurdle... maintaining $4+ pps in this volatile environment is another. We will need a cushion well past $4 to maintain over 90 days.
90 days for NASDAQ
Which is one reason why an uplist needs to happen soon. These swings driven by MMs can drive a long-holder nuts. Although typical longs in the market dont watch and analyze the same stock every day like we do. lol
btw, Theralase did release some impressive results from an animal study today.
Hey, no problem. I wasn't sure if you were directing your response to me or not. Ive been making a general starement about the therapy. People on the TITXF board have asked others about companies they might recommend as investments besides Titan. Theralese keeps getting mentioned - that's a good sign. Problem I have is mis-information. if one investor is telling another that a product is being developed for a specific purpose, that information should be as accurate as possible. In this case, Ive heard people make the claim that Theralese is developing a cure for cancer. That is not the intention of the product. It is intended as a safe and effective adjunct or single-therapy for some types of cancers - not a cure. Anyways, I like what the company is doing and started keeping an eye on it.
Agree!
I concur Flenderson. In the last few months Titan hit the $2.52 USD pps mark, pulled back and "fueled up" with the last financing, had a constructive meeting, made some changes (Sherry Bertner) got some good print (thanks again Point), hit a major milestone, made another run for four days and flirted with $2.50 again (today) before retracting a bit. I'm in no way worried about today's pull-back. You, Honeycomb, Point, CUIN and others have stated we are seeing some volume now, we have momentum. Hopefully it won't flounder. It's imevitable, this stock will remain volatile until an uplist to NASDAQ happens. So our near-term sights (as investors) should to be on that $4+ pps mark. Titan Mgt's sights need to be on continued successful / timely development and IR. I don't think it is being impatient to want to get this company on a stable footing for investors. 1H 2015 begins in six months. 2015 is it - crunch time. Titan needs to hold onto and increase momentum. We on this board know the potential. The surgeons and others in the healthcare field know the potential. Neither the average investor nor many seasoned investors and definitely not the general public has a clue yet... But they will... Keep the MOMENTUM!!!!!
Point taken. I agree. I dont want to see Titan just shoot their wad with meaningless PRs. Tactical announcements that have some meaning to investors should be released as appropriate. If you've read my past posts, I, like you, have always said it is about meeting the milestones successfully and staying on or ahead of schedule.
Most on this board believe Titan is under-valued. Most also agree an uplist will help us get to proper valuation. Personally, I don't want to be a penny stock. I want stability. I want the institutions buying in asap. Let's hope that as we progress into 2015 we are past this volatile stage.
Good point!
...to be clear, pharma companies announce the start and the conclusion of clinical trials and basic preliminary results at the end of lab, animal and each of three phases of human studies prior to the NDA. They dont just announce their findings at the end of Phase III.
...they announced conclusion to successful animal tissue sample testing... maybe a little print on the transition into human testing, a more specific timeline. Staying in the news and at the forefront of people's minds is a good thing.
I was agreeing with Honey and Flenderson that we need a boost over the $2.50 USD mark... Id like to see this thing get uplisted. I want to shake out these shorts / DTs that make a "penny stock" so volatile. Id like to see some stability and incremental increases. A PR doesnt have to be a major development milestone, just some news to give us a budge. I dont know what that might be, especially so close to the last milestone announcement. Progress reports, staff updates, anything to move it over the hump. The "stock techies" on this board seem to think that once we exceed the previous high, we are in a better place psychologically.
