Here's the basic math I'm seeing:
$1.2M Revenue through 6/30/08.
$2.9M Backlog for delivery 3rd and 4th quarter
=====
$4.1M
That leaves $6.9M that has to:
1) Be ordered/announced
2) Be financed (at 30% GM, that's $4.8M worth)
3) Be manufactured and shipped FOB China
4) Be delivered stateside and invoiced for revenue recognition.
My concerns:
1) The whole order -> delivery process takes 90 days or so, with another 30 days for the box store to get the product on shelves. They don't have that much time before the Holidays.
2) The financing: They don't have $4.8M in financing available (and that assumes the whole $2.9M backlog is already covered, which might be an overly generous assumption).
In short, I can't make the numbers line up. Can you?
Regards
Quarterly revenue increases are great!
The problem here is they grew operating expenses in anticipation of their $11M revenue goal.
At 29% Gross Margin, and $750K/quarter operating costs (taken from most recent 10Q), their break-even revenue is around $2.6M/quarter.
Now, they have announced a backlog of $2.9M for delivery in the 3rd and 4th quarters, and 4Q is historically their best revenue quarter, so there is a chance they could show an operating profit for one of the next two quarters.
But, then comes 1Q2009 and 2Q2009. What then? Back to losses?
They need $10 or $11 million to be at the break-even point for the year. How close will they get to that $11M this year? Won't know until end of March next year.
By then, it will be "2009 is Really going to be our Year!"
Regards
By the time they have to announce they didn't make $11M
(10K, due end of March 2009), the chant will be changed to "2009 is going to be our year!", undoubtedly.
I think that's what Howard was banking on, when he reiterated the $11M revenue projection. Remember that CHDT took the extraordinary position that: Some of the statements made by Chairman Ullman below are his personal opinion on the relevance or importance of certain developments or results and are not statements made by, or should be relied upon as statements made by, CHDT Corporation.
So, they won't make $11M, by the time that becomes clear, it will be no big deal, and anyway CHDT never said they would.

There are some odd goings-on with USAutoParts.net. If you have concerns, you should seek answers from CHDT, Lucy advises.
Regards
OK, Lucy, I'll do that
Anyone else interested in whether CHDT has lost the STP business, I suggest you contact the company as well, as Lucy advises.

To save on the redundant questions to the company
what did they say when you contacted them about USAutoParts.net and the Customer Service Rep's claim that they had 'gone out of business'?

Lucy, the company has been using their
stock as currency, like many other penny stock companies. The current 10Q warns of this, and advises that it is likely to continue.
Loans repaid in stock and warrants, private placements, options awards in lieu of compensation.
All of it affects the share structure. Future per share earnings will be based on fully diluted share numbers.
To only mention the common stock outstanding, without mentioning the growing common stock equivalents, is misleading, and a disservice to those interested in investing in CHDT.
Regards
You left out one salient fact
The amount of dilutive stock equivalents. The company has been converting common shares to preferred B shares. Eventually, those shares need to be converted back. How many shares are we talking about?
At June 30, 2008 and 2007, the total number of potentially dilutive common stock equivalents was 197,165,627 and 85,748,980, respectively.
Current fully diluted share count is in excess of 750M shares, and will grow, as more options vest.

The Funny thing is, U,
that when the tools went live on USAutoParts.net, they all had pictures, only they were showing under the Capstone Brand, not the STP Brand. When they fixed that oversight, they somehow lost all the pictures.
You'd think CHDT HQ would have been all over that, given their initial screw-up on the brand.

What's wrong with this picture?
http://www.usautoparts.net/catalog/index.php?N=4294964231&Ns=&Npp=30
It's a trick question! There are no pictures of the 23 STP tools products on that website. Now, if selling tools over the internet is hard, imagine if you try to sell them without even one picture.
One interesting thing about the list of products (besides 23 different STPtools products being available in one place!), there are 3 Spotlight SKUs, two of them being 2M candle power spotlights, with different ID numbers.
Might one of them be the elusive EcoFriendly Battery model? Maybe. It's impossible to tell from the listings.
By the way, the "Coming in Summer 2008" line is gone from the STPTOOLS.COM website in reference to the Eco-Friendly JumpStarters/battery devices.

The Maryland builder can't be a partner, can they?
Peter is still working on his prototype, due to be done in Mid-November, right?
How could this Maryland builder be building cars and taking deposits already?
I think it just another FFR kit builder/pimp my ride-er.
Regards
They have $1.2M through 6 months
And $2.9M in stated backlog at June 30th.
Their Sterling financing limit was around $900K at June 30th. (85% of A/R and 50% of Inventory). They owed Sterling about $360K as of June 30th.
They need $9.8M in revenue in the second half of the year to hit their target. At 30% gross margin, that's $6.9M worth of stuff they have to finance somehow.
It doesn't add up in my view.
Regards
Could I ask a simple question?
Why should you be compensated? Is that how penny stocks work?
You might want to get a signed agreement up front, with guaranteed payment, in the future.
Regards
I'll take one thing back
the Weather Center is now on the website. It's actually very attractive...
The TailGate Power, and the 3 Jumpstarters, are now gone from the website.
The Jig saw, the Impact wrenches, Impact drills, Impact drivers, still are not depicted.
Regards
You handled the JumpStarter mock-up 9.5 months ago
at that trade show.
Where is it? Where are the pictures of the WeatherCenter on the website? The JigSaw? The ImpactWrench? The ImpactDrill/Driver? The 3 different JumpStarter models?
You can buy the 3.6V Screwdriver Tin at CSKAuto stores, but not on the East coast. You can buy the 12V Air Compressor at Meier's in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. You'll be able to buy the 4V screwdriver at Sam's Club, starting now. The Neon Clock, also available at CSKAuto.
The other 50 SKUs? When will these hit the stores? Tools are a hard sell on the internet.
PPS and SD and eco-i-lite should sell well, but the STP tools were supposed to be the main revenue producers. Is the focus slipping off STP tools (and Simply Comfort, by the way)?
Regards
Well, $1.4M worth of Eco-i-Lite is coming
to a warehouse club near you, real soon now, but how do they get PPS and SD on the shelves before Christmas season?
Howard has been clear that it takes 9 to 12 months to break onto retail shelves. It seems late in the year.
Regards
Before STP, it was Simply Comfort
and Howard didn't include the memory foam products in his line of Four:
Capstone Lighting, eco-i-Lite, STP, and Tâke, is what I heard.
Can someone confirm that?
Regards
Howard will have to explain in detail
how they intend to finance ~$7M in goods that they'll sell for ~$10M in 3Q and 4Q.
Based on A/R of $823K and Inventory of $386K at 6/30/08, their Sterling financing limit was about $900K or so.
They'll need alternate forms of financing if they intend to hit their $11M projection for the year.
Regards
If you've bought in recently
and the 2Q filing comes in with encouraging results (based on the financing they got at the beginning of May, I think that is very possible), you may soon be proclaiming "Hail, Profit! Welcome, Wealth!"
Just don't try it in Latin.
Good Luck!
Thursday, August 14th, Pork

It looks like AUTO is on the job
It's a programmed trading desk. A computer is setting the inside prices, and moving the stock. Since they're going off at the ask, someone is moving shares into eager retail hands.
That's what it looks like to me.

Clorox was the registrant for STPTOOLS.COM, right? So, it's their act of omission. Did they forget about Capstone/CHDT?
Regards
Yes, they have a grace period of 35 days
in which to renew, for all of $8.95 for the year.
Either, (Bad) they forgot to renew, and ignored the reminders that do get sent before the domain registration expires;
Or, (Worse) they chose not to renew.
A little information from the company would be helpful here.

The Acc/Dist indicator
is easily manipulated on low volume stocks, especially those that have end of day painters. By consistently closing the stock above the midpoint of the day's price range, you can guarantee an ever increasing Acc/Dist indicator.
When the stock is hardly trading, the day's range is probably small, and a 3:59 trade at the ask will ensure a positive adder to the ACC/DIST line.

Revenge II: The Sequel
Anyone think another round of financing is imminent? Going back to that 164M volume day, which cellar boxed the stock, that couldn't have been Peter for two reasons: I don't think he currently has any SEC sanctioned way to move that amount of shares (He maxed out his 504 pretty much), and he still is in Default with Nevada SOS for lack of ~$1300 in fees. Doesn't add up.
So, who was it dumping those shares? Big retail holder(s) finally fed up with the lack of progress? Possibly. Former Financier sensing another opportunity? Possibly.
Regards
