Just beat me to it, Gerard, quick catch!
Ppppprofit!
Net Income $ 63,581
$3M revenue, about %31 gross margin. Expenses up a little, but still a pppprofit!
Well done, Stewart!

No, Lucy, that doesn't get it
If an insider received those shares, they would have had to file a Form 4.
No one did. The shares went to an outsider (the lender). The Lender is not an insider (no Form 3, 4 or 5). The shares are in the float.
Update the iBox, it is out of date, and inaccurate.
Those dates were removed after the fact
They tried to put on the second primary sponsorship twice now, in California and then in Talladega.
The decal has been missing for more than one race now.
Are you satisfied with the STP tools selection in stores at this point? (One year later).
Regards
Lucy the next 10Q will only show the A/S and O/S
and not the insider holdings, unless they change their format from previous 10Qs.
To get insider holdings, and an accurate float number, you have to dig through the SEC filings. I've done that for you, and provided links for verification.
The hard work is done. You need only update the numbers in the iBox (and include the links if you want people to be able to verify the information is accurate).
Share Structure
The numbers in the iBox are out of date. Here is the current figures, based on SEC filed documents:

Maybe the third time is the charm
but they were listed as primary sponsor for the California race and the Talladega race on that schedule page, too.
It doesn't look like the STPtools decal was on the car for the Kansas (Sept. 27th) race either:
http://www.thehotlap.com/modules.php?name=BGNPhotos&op=photo&id=19761
Regards
Are you sure the sponsorship is still going to happen?
They were to have the second primary sponsorship twice already, in California on Feb 23rd, and again in Talladega on Apr 26th. For various reasons, it didn't happen.
I don't see the STPtools sticker on the car anymore:
The sticker was missing in the last race, too; see picture in my signature.

That would increase the float by 100M shares
Not exactly what they need right now. Not to mention, they don't have 100M shares to spare.

Personal Pocket Safe ®
Unfortunately, they registered it under Systematic Development.

I think that's a problem. Your legal interpretation may vary.

The whole 'MM shaking the tree to buy cheap shares'
thing doesn't gibe with you and Uranium being able to buy at the bid recently.
MMs don't want the shares when they give them to you at the bid. There is excess supply for the current demand.

PatD, you out there?
Lucy is too busy to provide timely updates to the iBox. You have edit authority, right? I provided links in my original post for verification of the new numbers.
We don't want a repeat of what happened last year, do we?

Ibox needs updating
Howard's holdings are down to 180,769,536 shares and the float is conversely up to 224,981,380 shares.
O/S somehow went down to 557,941,646 shares.

I found their website, RVD
They appear to be a liquidator. I'm not sure why they are still liquidating these faux STP drill sets. Anyway, here's their site:

91 piece 18V Drill Kit *still* for sale
Check out item #4:

I thought Capstone had an exclusive license to sell STP branded power tools. Why is this 18V drill kit still for sale?

The IronKey has 4x the storage
Cost per GB is less than the PPS. $60 for 1GB vs. $150 for 4GB.
The IronKey and PPS address slightly different markets. Buttons and 1GB and included database software vs. Password and 4GB and no included database software.
The truly cost conscious will probably opt for a standard 8GB USB stick (around $25) and make use of TrueCrypt (free).

You heard it too, DD
$11 million projected 2008 sales!! YEEEHAAH!
.."at that level will be profitable"
no "recurring expenses" anticipated for 2008-ie. no writedowns
in final stages of closing a loan (aka a "credit facility) for Capstone..announcement in the next few weeks.
exploring one acquisition project for 2008...can't discuss it
This all sounds veerrrry grrroooooooovy baby!!!
best Chdt/hOWARD CC OF all time, hands downs
GET HAPPY ELF
Gross margin is the key, DD, you're right.
Keep you eyes on the 3rd quarter results.
Regards
p.s. in that SEC filed doc, they both projected $11M in minimum revenues, and a profit at that revenue level
Let's review the bidding.
DD posts an inaccurate statement that CHDT has never projected a profit for 2008, only $11M in revenues.
You reward him with 'Well said, DD'.
I provide definitive proof that they did project a profit, with a link to an SEC document for verification.
I get the third degree.
And so it goes...
What do you expect revenues to be for 2008
Our business plan written in early 2007 called for 3 million in sales for 2007 and we were just shy of that number. For 2008 we are projecting minimum sales of 11,000,000 for Capstone, which would be almost a 300% increase. We will accomplish this growth through STP® and Simply Comfort sales, and new exciting lighting products. At this revenue level we should be profitable.

I tried to buy the Spotlight from USAutoparts.net
but that didn't go so well. It took a month to get a refund on my CC for a product that they really didn't have.
The PPS or Secret Diary, I wouldn't buy; I'm not part of the target market there. I do buy USB Flash memory, but I buy on price and storage capacity. My last purchase was a 4GB stick for $10, shipped. If I felt the need for security, I'd use TrueCrypt, a freeware utility that provides the same AES protection.
No Sam's Club here, or I'd take a look at that 4.0V screwdriver.

Here's another

Although the Newegg one specifies a NiMH battery, not lithium ion, it's pretty clear it comes from the same OEM.

I guess you bought back in

Savvy trade.
What do I win?
You make a good point, DD
I think the Amazon complaint probably stems from a manufacturing problem on that one unit. Maybe a piece of extra plastic became lodged inside under the forward portion of the trigger.
In concept, the 3.6V trigger should operate exactly as the 4.0V trigger. A pivoting trigger, with two momentary contact switches, one for forward operation, the other, reverse.
I don't believe they could have a fault by design with their screwdrivers. It's one of the things you would test before going to the manufacturing stage.
Regards
RVD, if there were a Sam's Club anywhere near me
I would. Like you, I'm reluctant to pay shipping for the Amazon version; I like the option to return stuff to an actual store.
Also, I don't want to pay extra for the limited edition packaging; the blister pack Sam's Club version would be my preferred choice.
Regards
What was fishy about the review on Amazon?
It's quite possible the guy got a duff unit, a manufacturing defect. From the description given, it sounds like there was a problem with the trigger mechanism. That kind of thing happens.
He should have sent it back to Amazon, as it was defective out of the box, not a warranty issue.
Actually, if CHDT wants to step up to the plate, they should offer the guy a free replacement, for general goodwill purposes.
Note that the Amazon review gives the guy's name and city, which is taken from his Amazon account, so it's doubtful it's a fake.
Also, from an apples to apples standpoint, the Amazon screwdriver is a 4.0V model; the CSK screwdriver is the 3.6V version.
Probably made in the same plant, but it's not quite the same product.
That can't be, U
That would be off topic, and subject to deletion, right? I mean, this board is for discussing CHDO, right?
Regards
BK judge? CHDO is not in bankruptcy
Far from it, they are quite solvent. You must be talking about some other stock.
Regards
I think you're mistaken
CHDO has not hit .055 since last October, and it certainly wasn't the bottom.
Even if Capstone Industries had registered
the Personal Pocket Safe mark, I think you still have a problem. Read through the Office Action Outgoing document. Registration by Sister companies is not allowed (Capstone being Sister to BBI).
(4) Sister Corporation. If an application is filed in the name of corporation A and a sister corporation (corporation B) owns the mark, the application is void as filed, because the applicant is not the owner of the mark. Great Seats, supra (§1(a) application held void where the sole use and advertising of the mark was made by a sister corporation who shared the same president, controlling shareholder, and premises as the applicant).
Regards
Does CHDT have *Any* trademarks?
I believe they are a holding company, and the companies they hold (Capstone Industries, Black Box Innovations) create the products and register and own their individual trademarks.
At least, that's my conception.
Regards
Quite possibly they filed for those trademarks
before Black Box Innovations was a legal entity. Still, from my read, that won't work, if Black Box Innovations is supposed to be the owner of the product and the mark.
In the case of the Eco I Lite, they've had to re-file.
Regards
They may have stepped in it
They just had to re-file for the Eco I Lite trademark, because the original application came from ExamSoft, not Capstone.
See:
http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=77568092
and the old application:
http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=77382928
From the rejected application:
Application Void if Wrong Party Identified as the Applicant
An application must be filed by the party who is the owner of (or is entitled to use) the mark as of the application filing date. See TMEP §1201.
An application based on use in commerce under 15 U.S.C. §1051(a) must be filed by the party who owns the mark on the application filing date. If the applicant does not own the mark on the application filing date, the application is void.
I'd advise reading through the TARR Office Action Outgoing document; they list a bunch of filing errors that are correctable, and a bunch more that are not correctable (the application is void, and you have to re-file).
Regards
CHDO Revenue and Loss Graph
though your postings indicate 2008 will be a financial mess.
Not a financial mess, just not the promised $11M revenue, which probably means a loss over all for the year.
There's a good chance they'll show a modest profit in either 3rd or 4th quarter, though.
Regards
you seem to have CHDO already written off
The company has been clear that there is a long lead time from initial contact with a retailer to actually making the sale, manufacturing the goods, shipping the product, and recognizing the revenue.
The time for Holiday orders has probably already passed. There's always 2009, though.
Regards
