The United Nations Pavilion and the Devnet Pavilion are right next to each other at the Expo. "Trend for World Brands" is a highlight of the Devnet Pavilion and that is where I would expect Aquagold to be found. So far I have not gotten any confirmation that Aquagold is actually on display there or anywhere else at the Shanghai Expo.
I know. According to one article I read, Aquagold was to sell
its product at the Devnet section of the UN Pavilion, but I haven't been able to find any connection between the two organizatons (Devnet and the UN) at the Expo. The only word I have gotten from Aquagold is that "We currently have no news to report." I have not received any third party confirmation that Aquagold spring water is on display or is being sold at either the Devnet or UN Pavilion. Nor have I heard from anyone that their product is not being sold anywhere at the Expo.
Aquagold stated they had prepared a special edition of their product specifically for distribution and sale at the Shanghai Expo. If for some reason the agreement with Devnet fell through,
they must have gotten stuck with the new edition and ended up suing for breach of contract, but that is just a supposition.
I wish they would just come out and tell us what is going on.

The Company has given an honest explanation as to why there has been a delay. Astute investors knew the .008 dividend was either a typo or a simple miscalculation. The amount to be distributed was always 10% of 2009 net income, or $290,000. Divide that by shares outstanding (a number less than 400M) and you get .0008, not .008.
The dividend will be in your accounts by August 10, rest assured, and there is more news to come, so hold onto your shares.
Great post, Bubba! I added 250k today in anticipation of good news
coming out in the weeks ahead.
Wicky, I've got a friend who will be in China a week from now on business. He won't be going to Shanghai, but he said he would check into Aquagold's presence there. Of course, I will post whatever information he passes along to me. Thanks for being a good sport.
The Company announced on April 16 that they would be selling their premium Canadian spring water at the Devnet pavilion at the Shanghai Expo. If Wicky wants to make the claim that this is a
scam, the onus is on him to prove Aquagold products are not being sold there. He has not presented any evidence or testimony to that effect. Until he does, therefore, Wicky's opinion, to which he is entitled, is utter speculation and nothing more.
I was asking whether we would get a PR by mid-June. We'll just have to wait and see.
I received an email from Dr. Taillefer on May 17. He said that he could not answer my questions as the answers would be considered insider knowledge. He said I would have to wait for a press release like everyone else. At least he wrote to me personally, and I appreciated that.
Nice series of architectural drawings of the Devnet Pavilion with
water architecture. Must download.

If people are trying to contact the Company and they do not respond, it means nobody is home and everyone is busy with
promotion at the Expo. To me, that's a good sign. I'm not going to read this board or post here if I have to listen to all this whining and complaining.
If anyone is feeling frustrated and has no patience, time to sell and move on. I can see that almost no one is doing any independent research, just passing the buck and waiting for others to do it for them. This isn't kindergarten, friends, and the critics and crybabies here need to grow up.
What short memories everyone has! A month ago, everyone wanted to know whether AQUI would be selling water at the Expo. The April 16th PR addressed that issue saying they had produced a special edition of their product for the event and that it was going to be sold. Now you are calling it "fluff" and I think it is because the news did not affect the share price as you had hoped.
Contrary to the negative sentiment expressed on this board, the last PR was meant to inform us there will be revenues coming in from the agreement with Devnet for the next six months. I'd call that big news. Wouldn't you? As for the pps, all I can say is that our day will come.
Nonsense! There was a PR on April 16, just three weeks ago. You must be talking about some other company (and there are plenty of them) when you say there has been no communication with shareholders for months and months.
My contact told me the financials for the 4th Qtr 2009 looked good. Have they been posted yet? I don't think so. We should also get 1st Qtr 2010 results in about a month or so, I should think. I'll contact the law firm on Dey St. to see what they have to say about this.
A nice uptrend is in the making as volume picks up. Some concrete news and we're off to the races.
What do you all expect? Everyone is busy working on making the Expo a success. Isn't that what you would be doing if you were running this business?
A little more patience and less aggressive negativity is called for. Let them do what they have to do, and let's not be so critical that it drives away new inquirers.
What I'm waiting for is an estimate of the reserves. These gold mining exploration companies take a lot of patience. The current pps is probably rock bottom, though, so it is a great time to add to one's position, if one has the powder.
I like the way the Company handled the announcement of preliminary assay results. They could have pumped the mine's commercial viability to the hilt based on those results, but they didn't. Instead, they took a very sober approach and avoided encouraging the irrational exuberance of investors.
Cannon's choice of QP (qualified person) should be the next significant news item. It will be a big step towards getting this show on the road.
Almost all negative posts here, Bee. If posters succeed in pushing the share price down to .001, I'm ready to buy 5,000,000 more shares.
AQUI produced a special edition bottle for SALE at the Shanghai Expo, the biggest show in town. They have also renewed their other existing contracts with Chinese distributors. Branding takes time, and our tag team of York Tang and Marc Olivier Hassoun are working hard to bring Aquagold before the public eye.
All of the international marketing connections that will be made at the 2010 World Expo will guarantee the expansion of Aquagold for years to come. Stick around and be amazed.
I've been told the cut-off point for commercial viability is 3.0 grams per ton. The Company's PR gave a range of samples including 1.34 Au g/t, 4.66 Au g/t and 14.47 Au g/t. We're still a long way from knowing the valuation of reserves at this site, but there is already a strong indication of the likelihood of commercial viability, and that is quite encouraging. Thanks for your informative post.
Yes, that's how they will ship it -- by the boatload. One thing we do know is that they will not run out of water, at least not until that glacier up there in Canada completely melts which probably won't happen for at least another two years.
A little hypothetical math -- Once the pps reaches .004 (which could very easily happen next week), if the share price continues to double every three months, two years from now it will be at $1.00.
Now up 28%. We should see volume picking up just from those following I-Hub. Many here are aware of the $197M contract with China. News that the product is being sold at the Shanghai Expo with 70 million visitors expected over the next six months should attract some attention.
So far, so good. Up 20% since the announcement.
This is a turnaround moment for AQUI. We now have undeniable proof
this is a real company with a real product, real contracts and real revenues. We can only go up from here.
I expect to be back to my breakeven point next week, but I'm not selling any shares until we are in the multi-penny range.
This news is just what the doctor ordered to get the share price moving. Definitely closing out the week on a green note.
Just followed your advice, arpro, doubling down at .0225. I like the potential here over time, especially as companies see how the use of this service increases their bottom line.
Thanks, Wally. This is great news! Finally, it is confirmed that Aquagold will be selling its product at the Devnet International Pavillion in Shanghai starting in just a few short weeks. This great branding opportunity and potential revenue stream bodes well for the future of this fledgling company.
Great buying opportunity at these prices, too. Get some!
The AQUI chart is very strong. There is big news on the horizon. Why then is reading this board such an unpleasant experience? I think I'll just stick to analyzing whatever information is released by the Company, Devnet and the EXPO organizers themselves along with my T/A based on the AQUI short-term chart and avoid all of the negativity on I-Hub.
Glad I was able to pick some up today at .0027. Can't wait to see what this does when news of the sample assay is released.
Nice upward trend here over the past month as we approach the opening of the Shanghai Expo.
Here is the original announcement of the contract:
http://aquagoldinc.com/Archive_News/2009-0507.pdf
I just looked at the text under the video. It says 4.3 million bottles of water (100 containers). However, the newscaster said 4.3 million dollars worth of bottled water.
As far as I could ascertain, this is the renewal of a contract originally signed a year or so ago, much like the $192 million dollar contract that was recently re-negotiated. Old wine in a new bottle.
From PR dated October 5, 2009.
Nice little run here. Hope she holds up.
43,200 bottles per container, so one container sent daily for 180 days (Marks suggestion) comes to 7,776,000 bottles which is about 1/9 of the 70 million visitors expected at the Shanghai Expo.
I am still waiting for definite proof that Aquagold water will be sold directly to visitors at the Expo. With 70M visitors attending over six months, one container a day would provide one out of nine visitors to the Expo with a bottle of Aquagold spring water. I would call that the saturation point.
I'd lke to see AQUI get back to where we were when I first bought in about two years ago at .04. I think that could happen if a report were issued stating that five or more containers of product have been shipped in consecutive months. It doesn't appear that taking advantage of branding opportunities will create a run anything like news of actual sales (and profit) increases.
I thought we would have seen the 4th Qtr 2009 results by now. Would be nice to know what shipments have been made in the
current quarter as well. Would also be nice to hear a word from the new CEO, Marco Hassoun.
Description of Shanghai Expo grounds:
"Ninety-five drinking fountains will be arranged to ensure that (free) drinking water is available within every 100 meters of walk."
I haven't been able to ascertain whether Aquagold water will be sold commercially at the Expo. The Devnet commissioner Mr. Gao said that everyone attending the Expo should taste the water from Canada displayed at Devnet's exhibit. It looks more like a branding opportunity, though, than a chance to sell Aquagold water directly to visitors at the site.
We should get more information in this regard in the weeks to come.
