KalyTERA and the Anson Fund
If you go on Sedar and open a filing titled 'alternative monthly report' on Mar 3rd 2017 you will find this:
'On February 7, 2017, the Fund purchased 18,722,000 common shares of Kalytera from treasury. On
February 17, 2017, the Fund purchased an additional 3,500,033 shares of Kalytera from treasury.
Just prior to February 7, 2017 the Fund held 2,727,800 shares representing less than 4% of the
issued and outstanding shares of Kalytera.
As of the close of business on February 7, 2017 the Fund held 21,449,800 shares representing
approximately 19.8% of the issued and outstanding shares of Kalytera at such date. As of the close
of business on February 17, 2017 the Fund held 24,949,833 shares representing approximately
19.3% of the issued and outstanding shares of Kalytera at such date. As of the close of business on
February 28, 2017 the Fund held 22,632,833 shares representing approximately 17.5% of the issued
and outstanding shares of Kalytera at such date.'
Can someone explain to me what is going on here? Why is Kalytera issuing shares from their treasury to a notoriously short-biased hedge fund, who now seems to be reducing their position (but saying they are going to purchase more)....
What is going on with KALY and the Anson fund? They own a bigger stake than APH.....
