yahoo and fantastic - not just one takeover
but a vehicle in constant activity..fundraising and then
buying...
and in close contact with multiple and respected investment
banks...
sounds confident and long term to me...
hang in there whacky
Yes Flubug...still addicted to the suffering
and expecting a total lack of viscosity in
share price and lifestyle
before my own total loss of physical substance
Good reminder Smile
it does seem to be accepted by the Industry as a whole
that they have a most exciting newcomer..
I think it must be axiomatic for STWA and any new technological
enterprise to be absolutely modest and truthful and to let the
Big Boys react in their own way to the truths that are contained
within this modesty..Playing it straight is the only option
Which is exactly why STWA inspires accusations of the
opposite policy
and why every such accusation reveals the reality of what is
going on out there...as opposed to the relative irrelevance of
this board.. except in relation to new investors who have to
depend on it..
I wonder how people become Moderators ?
Thank you Smile
A good start to the weekend....very satisfying to see the word
spreading ..in that form - via Dr/Profesoor Tao and the success
of the trials and the huge significance to the industry/ world
energy
why does this thing have to be so darned big ?!
Presumably the share price would have benefiited from
something smaller..less global !
that is good and clear Earth1
and yes, it is potentially a monopoly it would
seem...since no-one even on this board has criticised
AOT from the point of view of being inferior to
an existing product..whether eco-wise or financially
this has always been a very strange part of being
condemned to Long-dom....ie that it is/was a penny
share/product that would not one day be just a little different
to existing products and of interest to a niche of
clients...
but rather of universal interest to the biggest organisations
around the world..to the point of being a global monopoly
sounds crazy !
thanks for your help
Thank you very much Earth1
Forgive me for being dim...but is that you
or Alberta saying that Alberta's new policy
is perfect for AOT....
and is even being driven by AOT's innovations?
either way, it's great....but just that much greater
if Trans Canada's cousins in Alberta are making all
the running.,,
Cool Norwegian
what a bonus to have that strong emphasis on the
eco-benefits of AOT and as applied to an entirely
new sector, the subsea
Norront may be a small concern but I am sure it has distinctive
expertise and total credibility wherever it chooses to work
AOT is now part of the Norront identity and on its Home
page...
This front page looks sea-dominated...Fantastic
that AOT width of applications is in such hands
That old image...the Chinese bamboo with roots that spread
underground before shooting through the surface at a heck of a
rate...(an image created by Doochuh on Raging Bull many years
ago)..
well...now we are underwater too..
and today or soon we will hear more from SRI
Dag Zeiner- Gundersen
How good to see a quote from a client in a PR, for a change,
and to have all that Scandinavian beard and sincerity on our
side..
and ..wow.. Norway is open for business ..I can't even
remember if Norway was on any of the lists of countries..
And which of the advertised progressions is this entire
country and its subsea empire ?
One of the 4 proposals ? Or is Norway too general a step?
How about 'one of the entities interested in our assets'?
Or was that more of a Merger or Acquisition or investment
possibility?
What a luxury to try and put Norway and subsea into the
right category..
and while having even more proof that the NDA's hold no
fears for us, that Trans C and the industry are all moving
forward and talking about AOT as part of the furniture
(the fear referred to yesterday was re the DRA industry..
but yes, why not add the fears of each NDA protected client?
It is their position being protected, not STWA and its
'unproven concept')
the share price gains 1.5 cents...typical, painful.
a huge business step forward and the share price
moves as it might have done on any old day.
can't even blame CEO !
it is very simple Sano
apart from a few typing errors...eg innovation..
You use the word 'concept' loosely and pejoratively and
I am comparing like with like - ie if STWA is dealing in
concepts - and you say one concept which somehow can be
unproven - (would that be like...God ?)- then, by the same token, the words 'competition' or 'innovation' or 'science' also refer to concepts.
it is not a concept that stwa has caused fear among its
competitors in the oil management business. Nor that negative
posts refuse to see the reality of a new product in a huge
and hugely conservative industry.
There is a continuous exploitation of STWA's underdog status..
eg that NDA's are hiding only negative results.
I will not respond to any further hair splitting by yourself which
will be spurious as a matter of fact, not concept
there is no concept left in this commercialisation
of a scientitically based programme
or is competition also a concept, innocation ?
or is science a concept and one that
some traders or DRA manufacturers don't like ?
well,June might bring us SRi part 2
as this is the end of Q2
maybe some enterprising shareholder or techno whizz
could create a wall chart and diary ..online..which shows us a
map (with colours and good graphics please) of all the ongoing proposals or processes..and the deadlines..and documents expected
this is because I think a number of other things are
due quite soon but can't be sure of which...KM and Joule or
condensate perhaps...
Newfield seem to be growing their deployments..
What a joy...almost nothing to say
but ..I can't wait to go to Sydney as part of
a holiday ...the cost of which will have been
covered by the rise in share price during the
holiday,,
I will campaign hard for the SHM to co-incide
with any cricket that is going on over there
oh...and it will soon be time to grumble
about London as a location for SHM...madness
and why have it where I live ?
I hear Hawaii is beautiful ..
My GOODNESS...STWA is a JUGGERNAUT
a very slow heavyweight but it is very professionally moving
into the industry, never to stop once it has started
and, yes, many thanks to Deesil, SB12 and Zerosum for
substantiating the beast's movements into commercial
life....
a beast that has already digested Trans Canada and any of
those old problems and has moved on with A TC engineer on board..
it is quite hard to know how many proposals are referred
to twice...or what a proposal could mean..but does it matter
substantively ,,,apart from time-wise,perhaps ? Not at all
2 proposals are at final stages...after Temple looked at the
oil and a model was built ....so what can be the next or last
phase ? an installation that is just a large scale trial or
an installation that is part of a commercial contract ?
We just have to wait I guess..to see if every possible conceivable
caution still has to be taken..
But it seems to me that with so much happening over such a
wide area, how can the future earnings/success of Stwa not be built into the share price from the outset..
hold on to that one share APJ !
GECFLY and Enzero/ Zerosum
I am assured that Gecfly's contribution was a performance
and one that included belittling the questions he was asked to
ask and then the misreporting of the answers
I am hoping Zerosum / Enzero that you can clarify the Trans C and AoT
questions/ answers - because it seems that Gec might have got the only specifics right..even if the context is utterly wrong..
Gec's question was apparently 'why TC removed the AOT from its line?'.
The detailed answers given by Gregg must have been non NDA protected..so it is presumably now irrelevant data..?
But - if those details correspond to the same phase as I assume - these details utterly contradict the views held on this board for month after month - eg the total success of tests meaning both a definitive and a positive conclusion..ahead of contract time
it also raises the spectre of Tao's data being irrelevant relative
to the mechanics in the field which involved a great deal more than
just a power supply problem...it involved considerable work and re-design and STWA running out of time in the fixing of the problem...apparently
so,please, big please, I would be grateful to learn the/a chronology of events that could incorporate these old/new details along with the contract time and Rhea's test etc
maybe it is irrelevant now that the AOT came off..maybe it was
irrelevant then...but I cannot grasp the overall narrative..with,
for example, the first hearing about AOT not achieving a high
enough percentage...
and with questions like this ..' If STWA was trying to fix the power
supply problem, why was the contract terminated early, before TC
knew whether the repairs were effective ??
help, please !!
it is not very clear in some important areas
right now
but that is because of an absurd situation
in which we depend on what are possibly unreliably reported
answers to possibly the wrong questions...re AOT and TC
but it is clear that there is no big news and
that is disappointing in the extreme
even if STWA's grindingly slow progress towards contracts
looks like an industry norm which should re-assure us
who are turning from spring chicken to bald cockerel
under the stwa umbrella
I am with you Alkaline and I think Zerosum
is losing sight of the fact that his opinion is
just and only that - his opinion...and a guess..
('90 per cent sure no TC
decision. JUst my opinion - SO I'd FORGET that option')
and 'if it makes you feel any better, I know someone who
will ask..' ..My my, how kind and well connected as well as omniscient in bis guesses..(there will be no need for such special favours...the whole issue is now implicit and will soon be made
explicit...
we all have opinions and make guesses ..and none of them is
valued by their proximity to yours Zerosum...
no matter how valuable
your repetitious posts in maintaining the integrity of this board
My money is on special news as a validation of Hawaii and Nuts
to anyone who is either so wealthy or new to this (or just so.oo
sophisticated ) to believe that this other business is unrelated substantively to the SHM...or that the CEO cannot be seriously criticised in the absence of shareholder-pps related news..
I see no reason why that special news should not entail Trans Canada or Kinder Morgan...surely not contracts with both ..but one certainly...Magic Nuts and champagne in fountains if both
I am also betting on an acquisition...maybe that being the nature of the other business in Hawaii..
I gather that the STWA team is very aware of the feelings amongst the prawns and "very well prepared"....and not because they have
hired bodyguards !!
And the plans for next year's SHM are being sketched...and the
year after...If it makes you feel any better...so my island will remain un-needed
yes, good luck to all...my nurse is at the ready...
the odds against the CEO being a robot ?
I would say that it is 60-1 against Biggers being so
insensitive to the prawns of room service..60-1 that Hawaii
is/was a signal....and one overlooking the Gulf of
Mexico ..and all its Basins full of condensate and more
In his own way Gregg has tried to be inclusive and he
has referred to our position and frustrations on
every possible occasion...
Of course some care would already have been taken not
to predict or diarise what cannot be relied upon...That
would be a truly crass oversight..not to allow for the
over-cautious and over-regulated....so that undynamic dynamic
creates a big soft context for Trans C and STWA...
the SR Institute is a big hint : we are now near the
end of the second quarter ..are we not ?...
Then there will be the weekend for the market to prepare
its response...as tuned by M Group...
definitely buying another share today
YES, THAT IS IT..the SRI is condensate/KINDER MORGAN
and the Gulf of Mexico ..with all those Basins... is just over the horizon from Hawaii...
near the end of the second quarter is near the end of June..
perfect
2-1 on good SRI results, 4-1 on the KM contract following from
that...
16-1 on No news at all
an acquisition by STWA (NOT OF STWA,that is 100-1) ...8-1...
Tedco, even the monumentally substantial STWA is allowed
to partake in such market gimmicry as taking over a specialist
manufacturer....
if the leverage was available and a first contract had not
been needed to raise the money.. that is news worthy of HAwaii
Kinder M is meant to be a more dynamic enterprise..less
rigid that TC...
of course the SHM is an obligation
and of course any news since the May
scheduling of June 19 would have been
released at the proper time
but none of that precludes the possibility
of news/signatures being finalised within
10 days of June 19 or on that day ?
if all the parties were certain and everything was prepared
and ready...why not co-incide with the SHM ?
An acquisition might be the more predictable kind
of process...
I guess its a question of trusting the CEO
not to be a total robot when it comes to us prawns of
room service
this time next week,
Gregg will have delivered us from slavery to the sound
of drumbeats and cocktail shakers
I will be dressed in Hawaiin kit and floating over
London..
cocktail of the month : Non Disclosure Agreement
(no vodka in that one )
changing odds...would you believe it..?
an acquisition is the new favourite...at 4-1...with No news at all
down to 6-1....
i think there is a real chance that these large investors being
pandered to (by us prawns in Room service)...might actually be the the people involved in the deal or news..
aha...smokescreens ...
footer..can you call the hotel again ??...leaving a message
for an 'uncle' or a 'cousin' who is arriving 18th/19th and who has
several names ..all of which co-incide with Trans C execs..
then we can rig the odds at the tote..
How about a call to the Ritz...
asking to leave a message for..er ..Russ
Girling.... ???
Or ...with a little charm and deceit...for any other Trans Canada
exec whose name can found out or even can be charmingly extracted...
from the helpful receptionist ??
" No problem ..yes Mr Girling is staying in the Goldfinger
Suite....have a nice day.."..
etc..
any volunteers..?
I forgot some other odds...
no, not for a physical or verbal assault on Gregg
(a former Navy Seal) which is 99~1
but there is the non~TC deals (10~1) and developments of
a significant nature..eg partnership or research contract..8~1
the good news being that No News at all has dropped to 4~1
Jaymark - I like the concept in and around the sealed
bid..pure torture..
um..i think the JHS does not compete with AOT..as I see it
the JHS is a scaled down and bolt-on device that uses
the heat generated by other mechanisms..
odds on it being the first sale..????
Clearly Enereco is that much further into
the game
so, of course it is a feather in the Stwa cap to be
nominated by Temple and for that to lead to a
shortlisting..
so..Hawaii...well, the shortlisted possibilities behind
this Ritzy business...if it is not Trans Canada news, then
it is an acquisition...
the Whacky tote is open...the odds on TC starting at 8-1
with M&A at 12-1...with No News At All....oh dear..3-1
no sealed bids allowed
flubug....not a lot of help but
you might get more response with this
over on i hub
and then there's a guy posting as hobie
who could assist...his doctor and shrink
have told him to help others...to get out more..
if you know what i mean
no further progress on ALL jhs till october ???
unlock it today....a prize please!!
well, Zerosum, I think you have done the right thing
in signing off from daily campaigning.
Apart from anything else, it necessitates a level
of Gung Ho that is not easy to sustain...given
time scales which are unknown to us
time scales which apply regardless of or because of the facts
about AOT and the rest
I am trying to take steps which will enable
me to live with - and keep - a much more long term investment, even
more long term..and I have on many occasions regretted having had
the money tied up for so long..even if it has been my only
investment !
I also fear that the market is going to respond cautiously
even to the bigger news like a contract..ie even then the AOT or even the Joule HS will be on trial..profits being waited for and scrutinised..
I hope I am wrong....
how about one Gung Ho per week?
That was pure PR and good PR
and what many people had been asking for
ie an example of the CEO and M Group finding ways
of telling us and the market about the validity of
long term planning for success
the PRCI and Peter Whelan can no longer be doubted
as part of the long story and a story that has required
the overcoming of every kind of resistance
One day the AOT - and its modifications being approved by the
PRCI - will be a part of the industry...as will the safety of the
AOT and other products..as will its approval by the ETA and all
environmental bodies..
of course such a Press Release is strategic, looking forward and
backwards ...to prizes to be won or to wherever you want to look....maybe to thanking Trans Canada ...just one part of the
industry
Thank you to the PRCI
well, there we have the PR that some have been asking for..
ie a gesture that was not aligned to anything or anyone other
than the blowing of a trumpet ..about the authenticity of the process and the science behind the products..
just so there can be no doubt about the long termism...we have had
the Safety of AOT re-validated and in black and white...
and stwa has been dealing always with the entire industry...thus we have the context of the time scale and delays..
and Mr Whelan will be that much happier to work with STWA again
and STWA clients will know that the products are always being
calibrated re possible improvements ..
etc
sweet f. a effect on share price of course..
why would the market care about what was known ages ago..?
Very tantalising...with so many factors
I was always told that the USA markets are much
more mathematically driven or focused when it came to
share price..
whether the value of a contract or the client profits..
the USA calculations were easier to predict, supposedly,
in comparison to UK customs in which there was just a
generalised boompf
It seems very hard or nearer impossible to separate the effects of any one first contract from all the implications as defined over the years of progress towards that contract..
there have to be measurements to be applied of some sort...??..
but how do you separate these when from what is also there in the cold light of day...ie other clients who have been testing and
measuring and who are just one phase behind..??
Maybe this is where the NDA's prove their worth in unlocking
the share value....
they are the rocket !!
Am I dreaming....about a report which is clear
and unambiguous...???
with one phase stated as finished and successful
even in maximum conditions...
with a next phase that will last 2 weeks
hurrah
credit where its due
Not just by a process of eliminatiom
it seems absurd to suppose that Trans C (and its lawyers) have
agreed to fudge a negative outcome for old time's sake
I see it that all this ****** weird, opaque 'non committal' jargon
is a coy reference to positives - and I can't accept that you would need to specify a 'power supply' issue unless that was an issue that
could be solved and also seen as part of a general success.
It has also, by the same token, been possible to refer to statistics not being conclusive but within an overall framework of success : thus the variables within the research methods and the results are being understood and organised
My hunch is that Hawaii does have a symbolic value : Gregg has been careful to say whatever he can to help us and even explicitly to get us around the NDA (directing us to where information can be released)...
If you think of the sum total of TC's commitment and Gregg's references to it and to TC facilities being so much more testing than RMOTC...etc and also there's his satisfaction with all tests and progress in general - and all parallel developments and the TAO details -
Quod erat demonstrandum
Hawaii = TC contract
Or am I just a traveller in a desert seeing a mirage?
Hi Jaymark - i can claim that 5 friends and
one brother have bought stock.
They remain stoical but I am not comfortable with
the role I have had to play - the apologist for the delays
and general punchbag
As I understand it, the stwa roadshow has been preparing
the investment community for years
on the radio this morning - a item about the large reduction
in investment within the energy industry.. billions of dollars
less..due to the slump in oil prices
we all know the perfect storm angle...but I still curse our luck
in co-inciding with this dip...
what do you suppose the average STWA employees are all actually doing every day ? they have contacted their connections....tidied
their desk...made sure the clients are being looked after ..
that things are ready..projects running smoothly..hotel in Hawaii is booked..pool at bath temperature...M Group still awake ?
that took a couple of hours maybe...what's for lunch ?
Huge projects under way across the map
huge projects and manpower and expertise
and huge monies involved over a long period of time
huge scale and all via new technology
delays and slow progress have to be integral to
the reality of any such endeavours
what a joke to suppose this technology does not
work or that a slow pace means anything negative
let alone proves it
and what foolishness not to grasp that the relentless
sniping is not actually and always mindful of the
very great things to come
no-one could believe this rubbish day in and day out
Psychology. A Doctor speaks.
Actually, on reflection, the Hawaii issue has probably
become a kind of scapegoat..outlet for FRUSTRATION
The facts are that we don't know what price Gregg negotiated with
the Ritz nor can it be doubted that Hawaii is probably more fun etc
than the other competing venues
And it is a fact that we wish to benefit from STWA as a thriving global company - and what better way to measure all such aspirations and positions than by giving this Hawaiin consideration to some very major investors...from whom we do and have all benefitted ??
Personally, I think there will be serious news of some kind before then - the prize won, an acquisition made, a client who finally
SPEAKS OUT - and I expect all will be forgiven pretty quickly.
If there is no news, well, this venue does send a positive signal to us about what has been going on in private - and maybe we should
respect Gregg & Co sufficiently on that score and without taking away from him what we have given to him with the other hand.
The frustration : well, the bigger picture has got so damn big and good....but after many years of false dawns within a smaller picture, this continuous expansion can only increase the frustration - due to the expansion not increasing our control or gratification - only our anticipation of that gratification and while making that gratification seem EVEN more probable than EVER
and even real, or almost as if it has already happened...again and again, every day!!
but actually it is going to happen within what timescale ? One that is no less elastic - and therefore painful - than it ever was
Isn't it ?
Iraq, Algeria...Hawaii
I agree with Black Spotted Swan that it seems very unlikely that the first contracts would come from the Middle East or Africa..
But maybe Gregg is simply trying to drum out the message by any means that AOT works - and without being hindered by an NDA - and while telling us of the individualised care that goes into each situation
which involves successful co-operation with HQ and Temple etc
etc
The big picture gets bigger and better and why would there not be
glitsches of one sort or another...and the more deployments that
occur, the greater the chances of one glitsch nor holding up
the rocket....
thus the process of elimination must exist and take us closer day by
day...what else to believe
and while sadly also eliminating a few other things at the same time
re The Ritz and in Hawaii ..I cannot believe Gregg could be so immune to shareholder history and positions and feelings..and money
Or is this why..or will this prove - why Bankers are so
stereotyped and/or unpopular ??
Oh NO OOOO....I am getting excited
There have to be some pointers which have to survive
the scrutiny and bombardment..
You HAVE to believe that Gregg knows what we, the masses, are
saying or how we will perceive this Ritzy venue
You HAVE to accept that he would NEVER run the risk of counting
a chicken or golden gosse before it was hatched
You HAVE to accept that the idea of HIDING is a nonsense, especially as part of a strategy which has involved lavish expenditure..NUTS
you MUST accept that even TC will sign one day or that SUCCESS will become the only explanatuon that CANNOT be eliminated
(and what an appropriately secretive way of building up to an
announcement, what a well judged symbol of the way the best news would have to be communicated)
You CAN easily see why the global investors line is a kind of
TEASE, a deliberate clue angled by a patriot towards his own
people....and won't that be enjoyed as they all drown their
cocktails before chucking Gregg into the pool ??
160 AOT's....for Keystone...
or/ and an acquisition....
$5....$10....
there is no antidote to this ****** excitement
that can be discussed
No, I am sure Gregg does not read
any message boards.
It was already excruciating before this latest thing.
Now we have the most tantalising and specific issue
with which to look hard at the CEO.
Nothing would surprise me : he could be sufficiently
geekish or puritanical to be utterly sincere in presenting
what really is tye sole reason for the venue : it is the best venue because it recognises the non US-investors and a global future
as CEO, Gregg knows who has invested what..maybe some of the
Australian or Asian backers have got stroppy about the Cal-centric
routine ...?
And the extra cost of the Ritz ? Oh yes, he forgot to let us or
M Group know that he has long links with this hotel/group...
maybe from his banking days...
and thus he was offered a fantastic deal ..
Better to be ready for another pointless countdown...even if
that is a self-conscious exercise devoted to increasing the chances of being wrong...
Pie - within 10 days..because it has already happened
and the law obliges publication within that time ?
I would love to believe that there is news and that the
expensive option of the Ritz makes that more likely...
Maybe total weariness of anti-climaxes is the necessary pre-condition to a good thing
I can't believe that however dry and non-interventionist Gregg
has been..that he is also a sadist..He is certainly telling us and the world something...and apart from about the numbers of world wide
investors ?
If there is something up that sleeve, I hope it is not just about the prize..great though it would be to win it..
An acquisition would be a great thing...but would it lift the
share price to Ritz prices ?
Thanks Zerosum for digging up the Newfield connection
I have lost count of the various basins being looked at..
which is the nearest one to Hawaii ?
Can you see it from the Ritz ??
It would be great if
Just what yet another Nothing Week needed
2 e-mails from STWA
amounting to almost **** all
of course Gregg is not in the entertainment or caring
business
but how does he make it all into such a damn grind ?
No doubt Hawaii is a lovely place for global
investors to fly to...
and to relieve the tedium being globally shared
time to watch that film...
'they shoot horses don't they ?'
STWA is under siege ?
I have challenged STWA in the past about being
ready for this kind of siege or sweat...and they assured
me that such a preparation was fundamental,,and I think the
relationship with Temple is rock solid
so the forward-looking statements by the CEO may represent
a more complex refinement of the position - for example the
commitment to acquisitions might yet surprise us all - and be the
first news to move the share price
Assuming Gregg could leverage the funds for such a purchase - that would challenge TC or KM..likewise the smaller or faster projects
in Joule...especially if Newfield or Haven have a different
agenda and are prepared to SPEAK OUT LOUD
It would be very disappointing if the colourful Mr Kinder was
morphed by the grey industry blob that is TC..
but at least we know that each news-less day reduces the chances of
KM having hit a snag...
the whole situation is balmy and back to front - ie we are exactly where the exhaustive tests told us we would be - which is why
the tests in the field were allowed to begin in the first place
so long ago...that Gregg has to have had to put something up his
sleeve..there must be a sleeve and it could have a large capacity
Now is when we desperately need it
As the Duke of Wellington said about the area of Waterloo, its
fields and valley, " I saw this place long ago and I liked it.
And so I put it in my pocket"
Arise Sir Gregg...let's hope you can get some more g's in your name...Gregg Bigger the GGreat
