I'm thinking tax loss selling......
There was a lot of pump and promotion over the summer and into the early autumn that brought a lot of retail investors in. If the next Q shows more dilution and little growth in the way of revenue, I think a stampede out is possible....I could see the PPS dropping as low as a couple bucks.
After all, if they hadn't done that 1:75 reverse split shares would be trading for less than a dime right now.
Hard to blame shorts.....
Short interest has been reported at in and around 2.5 million since the end of August, and its still around that level as of the most recent update. So the tank job from nearly $10 to less than $6.....its hard to see that as being caused by short selling.
What was our over under for the new OS count, 19 million?
I would argue that if the #s were good.....
Then there wouldn't be a need for cheeseball promotion.
Could be a sudden epiphany.....
Election day Tuesday....do you want to be holding a stock in a company with a history of dilution, losses and a massive reverse split that pumps out PRs and pays promoters to attract buyers?
So you bailed after that?
I took out my position north of $9 at the start of September....should have waited a bit as the pump hadn't yet reached its apex, but oh well. When going long if you miss the absolute bottom its not a big deal, and the same rule applies when playing the short side if you don't get the absolute top.
I didn't need an analyst report to reach the conclusion that VUZI was bloated at $9+.....I think a MC of even $50 million is still too high, but VR AR is a hot sector so you have to allow for buzz.
My what?
I'm not even going to the AGM.....too far away. Canada is a bigger country than you think.
Listening to analysts is a no no with me......
Better to form your own opinions imo.
Still waiting to find out...........
Why the AGM had to be rescheduled....required extenuating circumstances, but still not a peep from the company.
Those who know the history aren't surprised....
Long history of telling a good story, military, big partners, Intel tossing them some cash, lots of bullish write ups and paid promotion....But heading into their 3rd decade they still haven't ever turned a profit, just keep issuing more shares.
50/200 golden cross setting up.....
Good luck all
No disputing that........
Before the uplisting the PPS was around .03....we've doubled. I think we're going to be going over .07 on this latest news
The share price is responding....
Hello sixes.....I'm expecting a new higher high above .07
That's what stocks are for as far as I'm concerned............
All the rest is just noise....I saw a great web based interview on The Street with Jim Cramer from about 10 years ago where the kid interviewing him asked: "What about the fundamentals" and Cramer said something like: "Who cares about the fundamentals"....offering up the opinion that the mechanics of the market are more important. Its a view I happen to share.
oilsleuth....serious question
Different people have different ways of analyzing stocks, some prefer fundamentals, others rely on charts and technical indicators and some prefer a mixture of both.
I can respect someone who's views are purely fundamental...no problem. But ultimately what is the goal in analyzing a company's fundamentals from your perspective?
Speaking for myself only, the opinions I form after analyzing a stock are aimed at determining whether I think a stock has good prospects for gains or not. If I reach the conclusion that a company is not a good investment I move on and look for others that are.
Interested in any thoughts that could be shared on this matter.
Cheers
All that good news and yet........
So the sheep are being given lots of reasons to buy, the problem is there are more than enough sellers willing to dump so the PPS moves sideways down. Do the sellers know something the sheep don't?
Virtual???? It looks pretty real to me
Are you saying the office isn't real? It just looks to me to be one of those office space companies that lease their facilities out...but it doesn't look "virtual", it seems quite real.
Do you expect a penny stock company to have their own 40 floor tower?
Blog post about RMHB bullish chart set up.....
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/10/rmhb-climbing-stairs-higher-highs-and.html
Link about "climbing the stairs"
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/10/rmhb-climbing-stairs-higher-highs-and.html
Higher highs, higher lows...
Starting on Oct 10/11 the PPS climbed from a base around 3 cents and rose to touch 5 cents interday before pulling back, but it didn't go back to that 3 cent base, instead settling around 3.5 cents.
The next run just took the PPS to an interday high of 7 cents on Oct 26th, and now its pulling back again, but so far it hasn't settled down to that previous low of 3.5 cents....it might still give back some gains, but if it stays above that 3.5 cent area of the previous low then the uptrend remains intact.
Golden cross setting up....
The last time the 50 dma crossed over the 200....Will it happen again? No way to know for sure, but I'm ready if history repeats.
Good luck
Has that company paid to be interviewed by CEOLIVE?
Or paid other promotional "IR" type outfits? If you bring in the buyers, then it helps pump up the PPS.
I bought in on the uplisting from the pinks.....
Even at .032 I'd be in the black....32 cents would be unreal. Did you time it well too?
lunch time power hour is coming....
A lot of otc players check the markets at lunch...not everyone has the ability to be "eye on" throughout the trading day.
Those who didn't see the potential at .03.....
They're kicking themselves now....oh well, live and learn, the market is a great teacher.
Momentum is with longs.....
I think we'll see .06 to .07 before a pullback....nothing goes up each and every day, fully expect the brain dead mensa drop outs to show up on the first sign of weakness, the same crew that said .03 was too high.
So they expect to catch up with a less powerful chip?
I take it their glasses don't have VR and GR....voice and gesture recognition.
They burned through that Intel money I think.....
Didn't last too long given the raise they just did.....good think Intel tossed some small change their way (have you seen Intel's balance sheet?) otherwise maybe Vuzix wouldn't have been able to even afford the less powerful chip.
Is Vuzix falling behind?
Over on stocktwits someone linked an article on the AR/VR space:
http://thearea.org/?wpfb_dl=191
Its the September newsletter for the Augmented Reality for Enterprise Alliance or AREA for short. Included in the news letter is an article about "The 5 Challenges That Providers of Smart Glasses Must Overcome". The full story is available at this link:
http://thearea.org/5-challenges-that-providers-of-smart-glasses-must-overcome/
In that article is this little snippet:
Accelerating real world tracking and fluid rendering of virtual objects requires chips like NVIDIA Tegra X1 or Intel m7, which are just now showing up in the latest high-end smart glasses from companies like Atheer and DAQRI. Combined with eye-tracking capabilities, reliable voice and gesture recognition, these computational requirements add up, both in terms of battery consumption and heat production, which need to be properly and efficiently managed.
Do Vuzix's glasses use this Intel m7 chip?
I grew up in Bergen County NJ back in the 70s....
Now...I live just a little bit north of you, like in another country. Haven't been back to NJ since 95 or 96.
Sounds good...
over 18 million I win, under 18 million you win....what part of the world are you in?
From 265 million (if memory serves)
Then a 1:75 reverse split to bring it down to 3.5 million in 2013...and 3 years later pushing 20 million. Do you sense a pattern? Authorized to issue 100 million, again that's based on memory....
Just keep people excited about the future so they'll buy/hold and buy more.
You are entitled to your opinion.....
And I to mine. What's your over/under for the # of issued shares when the next Q comes out? I'm thinking 19 million.....if there has been dilution the jump in the PPS likely helped attract some buyers, that combined with the promotion, news and hype of course
Coincidentally......
There "just happened to be" a secondary offering priced at $5+.....but I'm sure that's just a coinky-dink.
The reason I decided to play VUZI short...
Back at the start of Sept at $9+ was because of all the promotion, news and hype....that combined with a history of losses and massive dilution.
Remember my blog posting?
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/09/vuzix-time-machine-back-to-tech-bubble.html
Many said I was wrong....and some will say it wasn't because of all the hype that it dropped. I disagree, when the market machine starts ringing the dinner bell, calling the sheep to COME AND GET IT....too often I find they're being led to the abattoir.
Good work...
When a company pays to attract investors using promotional outfits, you want them to get their money's worth. I love these "faux" interviews.
Some of the pumping on StockTwits....
It strikes me as being so incredibly moronic, that I'm wondering if its really motivated by short activity....trying to make longs think the biggest bulls are also the biggest idiots possible
Pretty much du rigeur with OTC penny stocks....
They want and need exposure to investors....its not like its a nasdaq company that's been pursuing a biz plan for 20 years...Rocky Mountain High drinks haven't even been around two years, they're only just now starting to be distributed.
Good luck.
I think it can do a lot more Lblues....
But I'm not expecting it to go up, up, up in a straight line....there will be pauses and pull backs.
3 months at the .03 level...
And now over 4....its not going to go up every minute, every hour or every day. If you want something that never goes down, put your money in a fixed income type vehicle.
Chicken littles back in the coop....
But they'll be back at the first pull back....some things never change.
