Doug...please do comment on what you think or know happened. You are a respected member on this board and would like to hear what you have to say. Please don't hold any info back. If the kool aide drinkers don't like what you have to say then so be it. I am catching the drift though (i think), but would lik
e to hear What you have.
Spy der Man...when you refer to the two of you that "made it happen"...what are you referring too? IMO nothing of any significance has happened yet besides the many rumors released on this board and PRs that have been released by the company. Are you stating this because good things are going to happen?...however you do not work there anymore and you will not be compensated for your hard work? Or are you stating that this whole company is basically a joke? Please clarify or expand on what you have stated in your previous posts.
I agree becktodiff...some of the posts on this board have been very strange lately. Maybe the information is true or maybe just a scare tactic towards investors. Very odd that some of this information is just coming out now though.
Sure hope so Bama...but I doubt it. We will see I guess. They need to start signging contracts and pumping out product. I was looking at their two financial statements put on website.
As of May 31 2011 - The company has recurring losses and has a deficit accumulated during the development stage of $35,836,235
According to the new statement for August 31, 2011, they are $36,203,254.
With that said, with salaries, leases, bills and anything else they have to pay, they spent another $367,119 in the quarter. Going to add up fast if they don't start getting some sales and products out there!
GET THAT COOLING SYSTEM AND FURNACE INSTALLED AND LETS GET ROLLING!
Speedo....I thought you were the one in the know of all the good things to come? Is that still true?...doesn't seem like it anymore.
Looking forward to the update rchi
Bourque getting hammered again...just wonderful
Just maybe they are going to submit otc paperwork this week because they know that nij will also come through this week. Then they will announce those orders you have mentioned atl which imo would have a huge spike in pps...at least that is what I am hoping for.
Thanks John11...appreciate the update. Any update on NIJ Cert? I just don't get what is taking so long after "exceeding the standards" in the October Test. Everday that goes by now...makes me think something else has gone wrong. We have waited for this big day so long now and yet it continues to drag out due to mistakes on application, changing application, political issues and so on. At this point I really don't care what the excuse or hold up is. All I can say is...GET IT DONE BOURQUE!!!!!
KZ...sorry. I knew it was in the i-box and online, but apparently others were unaware that a PR was even released today. Was just trying to help out others by providing the direct link.
Bama...it was not a facebook release. It was a PR release that came out this morning at 930. Tytrades copied it and pasted it this morning.
Here is link
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/bourque-industries-successfully-tests-proof-143000095.html
Bama...we did get more details. In post 8717 by tytrades he copied the pr from today. As I stated yesterday, it seemed very similar to the GE one released months back...just stating they passed proof of concept by the company that did the testing
Not to be negative...but most likely another pr that will resemble the GE pr from months back and will do nothing in share price until orders and production are announced...of course this is just my opinion and we shall see tomorrow. Not getting my hopes up.
Papaka...i completely agree with your statement and have said the same thing all along. I just don't believe their facility will be capable of handling large orders of the plates...let alone other products down the road and will have to be outsourced. I know it has been brought up before about 1000 plates being produced in a day, but it has also been mentioned that the facility will be used for R and D in the future. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
Thanks for staying on top of things KZ...and all the hardwork you put in
BJ...maybe we are getting Borked. I sure am gettin frustrated that is for sure. Why is a new larger induction furnace (just now) being ordered?...am I the only one thinking this. Not trying to be negative, but it seems that this should have been done awhile ago?...especially with the grand opening in October.
Not to bash anyone, but the Bourque team and their engineers obviously must have a plan of what they need (equipment wise) to set up for production. It sure would be nice to know what the delay is or the reasoning for this. Is it, they needed the funds to purchase this piece of equipment and needed to get a loan or did they have to have some type of custom furnace made?. I am no expert on this side of the business, but I sure am curious. Is this the news your were referring to BORKMAN?...in reference to the furnace?
Obviously, there is a building with equipment going into it, but IMO it just seems there has been many delays or maybe excuses of why this place isn't up and running. With a new technology like this...I realize it will take time to get up and running, but we haven't even got the equipment yet, let alone the employees that are trained and ready to operate this place for production.
Maybe...I am just starting to lose the faith. I'm not asking the company to give us updates everyday minute like some, but it just seems like a lot of red flags lately. I have only stayed with this company long term because of one person that I know of that has a great reputation in the company that would not want to hurt by this.
Do others feel this way?...or am I just asking stupid questions? You can be straight up hones...it won't hurt my feelings. Maybe my head is just clouded right now.
On another note, ATL...I feel your pain brother. I know people who have tried helping the company in many ways or have applied to work there with great expreince under their belt and have heard nothing back. Maybe they have everyone they need right now and everything covered, but I find it hard to believe that they are "TOO BUSY" to write a 2 sec email to save on postal costs, saying "thank you but... no thank you"
Not trying to complain or be harsh, but I say what I feel. Have never bashed or pumped this company. Maybe I am just venting.
Have a great day everyone!
Thanks for the info travel cookie. Greatly appreciated. Did you get to talk about anything else? Or was it real brief?...he sure does love his job and must be excited.
Travelcookie..good news. When he said 45 days, did he clarify if it was from the test? Or from todays date?
KZ...if Bourque decides to license the production to another manufacturer (which IMO is the way they are heading due to financials and not being capable of manufacturing themselves,then..Just to clarify, since it is Bourque's product, Bourque would draw up their own QA system plan that the licensed company that was making the product would abide/follow? correct?
I was just curious because IMO I just don't think that Bourque has the capability of making the product...maybe just the powder like we have discussed on this board before. However, making the powder is a whole different product then everything that is in the proudction process of making the plates.
What news are you referring to? Be more specific so others understand what you are talking about. Thanks
Derek...where did you obtain this information?
Valid questions...I don't know why speedo continues to post this info. It obviously does not sound credible and I try to ignore it as much as I can. I don't see the benefit of posting it on this board. Not like any of it has happened anyway. This board is just starting to heat up! There is a lot of frustrated people out there.
What is everyone's prediction for tomorrow?...do you think we will finally stabilize or have another consecutive 20-30 percent down day?
not to be negative...but even with the split in shares at 1.50 (75 cents - with restriction), I am now glad I did not make that decision (CHANCE OF A LIFETIME). Still holding on tight with my hands in the air on this downhill roller coaster.
January now?!?...this just keeps dragging doesn't it?...IMO we could have a certified plate by January with a business with closed doors with the way this is declining. Trying to stay positive, but this is taking way too long to get through NIJ after successfully passing the test. What is the holdup? and does anyone know the company's plans in the meantime?
Almost a million shares today...and another 30 cents down. 2 more days like this and we are in the pennies. Hoping this nonsense stops today. Someone has to know something for the good or bad here. Are we ever going to get NIJ cert or will the company go under before?
That is fine Pacco. We are all entilted to our opinions on this board. As I have stated multiple times, I have done my DD and have attended a demo and have seen the comparison of Bourque's armor to ceramic armor and Kryron is superior by far. They could rate the "fatboy" plate a level I and it wouldn't matter...it would still be superior. As I have said, the level means nothing if the product performs way above the standards of what compliance level is.
I am not pumping this company. As we all know a product can be superior over another and that does not mean it will be successful in the marketplace. There are many other sides of this game that Bourque and team must perform well at to succeed. I hope they are able to get across those hurdles...but at this time it is a risk we all take.
You are correct about the force that impacts the subject or object behind the plate...and this test was completed at the Oregon shoot from my understanding with great results. I will be honest and admit that I do not know the specs...but I will take their word on it since they are the experts. IMO...if you get struck by a bullet wearing kryron...you will still feel it of course. It will probably not be as bad though.
...if you want to say that cermaic does the same, then you need to do your homeword my friend. As we have discussed before and the many studies and articles out there, ceramic armor when hit...shatters, spalls and causes richochets. It may protect the the occupant wearing the armor for those few rounds, however it does not protect your buddy next to you when he gets hit with shrapnel. Bourque's armor catches the bullet...preventing all three.
As I said...your opinion is welcomed on this board (positive or negative), but please do some research before posting non factual information.
The company is a startup (as we all know) and mistakes will be made...they already have been. Give them some time to show us what they have. Hopefully they will learn from them and move on. I'm in this for the long hual like many of the others for the good or bad.
-Bowser
P.S. It doesn't snow where I live, so I am not blinded by it yet!
Pacco...I believe we have discussed this on the board before. Just because something is rated at a specific cert does not mean it can't qualify higher. It was the route Bourque decided to vigor marketing and the amount they had to pay for cert. Imo from the demo I observed...bourques fatboy plate would be above the level 3. I witnessed it stop over 60 .223 rounds not to mention .308 rounds with no penetration and very minor backface defamation. Many other level 4 armors wouldn't even stop that.
I am putting a sticky note on my wall with today's date...so I remember. Hope you are right and know something "Dunnonothin"...LOL
I will either be extremely happy or very deppressed. Hope I can afford Christmas gifts this year.
Well put greenpen...couldn't have said it better. I too am very long and believe in the company and product....however it is very frightening not knowing the reasoning behind the last few weeks decline. Holding on tight and preparing for the worst on Monday.
I get it now...thanks.
Thought they had gone back into article and retracted the statement made about the possible big miliary contract...sort of like they did about the NIJ results PR where the wording was changed or some of the information had been removed from article.
A little confused...
What is everyone talking about referring to the new "Inside Tuscon Business" article that was released today.
Many stated that the article was pulled down or the contract info that stated
"The company also has begun to lay the groundwork for a military contract worth as much as $100 million to retrofit hundreds of Humvees and other vehicles with Bourque plating. Bourque said a Humvee plated with his company's material would weigh as much as 50 percent less than a standard up-armored vehicle and provide superior protection."
...was retracted from the article.

still shows the article in its entirety...unless I missed something else that was discussed earlier.
Anyone able to comment on what I am missing or what is now taken away from the article?
Thanks,
Bowser
I have read everyone's examples and reasoning related to the new pr. With no knowledge of the technicals...I take it the new pr information is a good thing?
Looking at the last 2 weeks and today's freefall...I really hope this isn't another lexg. Everyone seems to like to compare to Taser. Not to be negative..but you have to look at both sides. Lexg shot up from the pennies to around 10 dollars and then freefalled like Bork has done back to the 85 cent level. Hope this isn't the case and this news is as big as everyone talks it up to be. I am assuming that j2 does not write on this board anymore about future events because it makes the companies management look bad...probably smart on his part. Hold on tight folks...we may be back to ground zero before two weeks lol. Hope I'm wrong and trying to stay positive.
I agree with you Bama. I have a lot of patience and I realize this is a start up company and that they are working hard to get things done (hopefully), but it gets tiring with everone saying the next "2 weeks" will be exciting or the next "2 months" will be exciting and nothing continues to happen.
I really hope this is not the same deal that GPGI shareholders went through when they released many of their PRs and people saying the same sort of things on the old message boards. With that said... I am thinking that is why the pps has gone way down because of the now large sum of unrestricted shares and the old GPGI shareholders getting out when they can (may not be a bad decision on their part or could be a huge mistake...I guess we will find out in "2 weeks" LOL)
Anway...I am very long on this stock, but IMO with all of these unrestricted shares getting sold and the shares that are coming off restriction in 2012...if we do not get the NIJ cert soon or some type of good news...with the rate that the PPS is dropping, IMO I think we will be back down to twenty cents or lower. I like to be optimistic and look at all the good things to come, but nothing has shown me otherwise lately.
Hope good things are on the horizon and I am "do or die" at this point (lose it all or make some profit). I guess all I can say is I hope everyone only invested as much as they can afford to lose.
At this point...I feel sorry for the ones who invested in the the Bourque Alloys private share sale a few months back, since those shares are restricted for a year...comapred to buying unrestricted shares at a lower cost now and being unrestricted. If we only had a crystal ball.
Long and frustrated.
Gussbee...I have done some research and I believe it has been discussed briefly in past posts.if you are asking about "what is needed to export or sell to other countries" here is some good info you can read
http://www.exportrules.com/
According to the above article...bourqe must be ITAR certified to sell and export outside the us. It states that the very process takes approx 2 months to obtain. With all the rumors about Bourque selling to other countries and potential contracts I am hoping that they have already obtained their ITAR cert or are working on it.
If you remember from their current pr they stated something along the lines that they had to wait until nij to sell to law enforcement...however they could sell to military immediately. With no contract announcement yet, makes me believe they are waiting on ITAR cert to sell outside of US.
Read over the above link...hope that helps.
idcfo when you stated "The NIJ news has been a terrific piece of news!" are you refering to the test results at the oregon NIJ lab or are you stating something else that has not been released yet. I believe it is still in the process of being finalized with the paperwork.
This is getting absurd...what is happening here?!?. We are losing so much ground and is going to take a lot to bring it back up. It has been 4 days in a row now and it isn't stopping. Some type of reassurance would be great Greenpen. The only thing I keep telling myself is that nothing has fundamentally changed within the company (unless there is inside information of bad news and people are selling).
IMO...if this continues into next week we are going to back to the start of .25 cents a share. Sure hope things turn aruond for the better.

Great write up/reivew Rock. Once again, you were right about the the big move that was about to take place. I appreciate your unbiased thinking and you tell it how it is. Also appreciate your explanations and the use of examples and facts in your posts to make the technical things easier for guys like me to understand. I enjoy reading your posts...keep up the good work.
I'm just hoping we can find some stable ground soon and wrap up this NIJ cert that has been lingering upon us for a long time.
