Holy Shnikes Batman...the volume here today was just nuts!
I indeed did. I pulled the trigger here early yesterday, and IMO believe there are some more gains to be bagged here. If you take a position here be cautious and have your strategy in place!
PS: You have no idea how funny it is from my perspective to be called oh wise one, lol. I got a great laugh out of reading that, thank you! There is only one thats wise, and its certainly not WiseYoda, ;)!
Scottrade sucks! You will be much happier trading with Etrade! In regards to flipping stock these are the risks in flipping them, but if your going to flip Zion I would suggest watching the patterns, and afterward pull the trigger on a small position if you want to test it out. The pattern here has been predictable lately, and even though Ive been successful trading Zion it is not always that way. Sometimes I bag two out of three plays, and take one loss. It all depends on ones strategy, and if anyone tells you they found the perfect formula then they're full of it.
FYI: I don't have private message and posting here instead. After reaching out to that one company multiple times, (wont say ticker so this doesn't get deleted) in regards to their filings I got zero response. I was watching their filings and when I saw that they didn't file an extension they ticked down and that was it for me. I sold, and took a .15 cent loss. If you go to the OTC and type in their ticker you'll see they have ticked down. I don't want to post that info on that board in case you took position, and want to get out.
One more thing to add regarding risk. Now what happens if Zion is not successful? Easy, then Zion will fall! The Matrix? No, Zion Oil and Gas, haha!, sorry had too for those who know the trilogy, hgmmm! Regardless of what anyone believes company risk factors must be calculated in when one trades/invests. To what I have read here many Zion investors are not traders, and are believing Zion will succeed making ZN a one play strategy, is this risky? Yes it is! If we get the good news we all want about the core samples, and she surges then fortunate such investors will be. Perhaps these investors don't have a bank roll to diversify, or they just don't know how to. Im not knocking anyones strategy because I have no clue of ones capabilities, or positions. Bagging profits in the marketplace can come down to one word, diversification. You win some, and you lose some, and if you lose more than you win then get better, or stop trading! I speak from experience, and one thing is for sure if Yoda looses he doesn't troll thru ihub complaining about how much management sucks, no! One must learn to trade better, faster, and smarter, and take responsibility because its YOUR money, period! Anyhow, only so much can be explained about all of these things via ihub, and also because Yoda don't like to type this much...phewww! Its WAY to time consuming, plus I have small green hands, ;)!
Happy Trading Day!
$ZN
Been reading up on coring and this is some process. I wanted to share this for Zion investors who read ihub, and attempting due diligence. The more one reads up on this the more they'll discover that Zion is indeed capable in accomplishing this feat. The question isn't if they can, its if they chose the right spot, or not to drill. The way Zion located the site, added on qualified/experienced oil members to the team, and equipment being used reveals that they planned this operation for one thing, success! The in depth planning, and analysis it took to get to this stage, 3 years I believe, is indeed another defense against the weak, and bias attack against the haters who only care about one thing, their positions. Company's who are scams end up getting sued for fraud, or negligence, which Zion is FAR from both!! I don't care what these people are saying there is enough public information to research such accusations. The motives of such are not to warn us of impending danger cause the feel all warm and fuzzy inside about us its because its all about the money honey! Anyhow, enough about this!
For those who like more info on coring, and why it matters, here is some:
1.) Overview Of Routine Core Analysis - AAPG Wiki:
Retrieval and analysis of cores is essential to all phases of the petroleum industry. Cores offer the only opportunity to obtain intact, vertically continuous samples that allow the visual examination of depositional sequences and variations in reservoir character. Properly analyzed cores provide data available from no other source; these data should provide direct evidence of the presence, quantity, distribution, and deliverability of hydrocarbons. Cores are essential to understanding the nature of the pore system in the potential reservoir unit. The knowledge gained from cores enhances our ability to predict reservoir performance and to select procedures to maximize profitable hydrocarbon recovery.
A number of generally accepted sampling and analytical techniques have been developed for evaluating core samples. The choice of technique depends on the type of core recovered, its lithology, and the nature of the pore system. Core analysis can be divided into several different types: (1) conventional or plug analysis, (2) whole core analysis, and (3) sidewall core analysis.
Sidewall core analysis:
Sidewall core analysis is performed on cores recovered by any of the sidewall coring techniques. Percussion sidewall cores from hard, well-cemented formations are badly altered during the coring process and generally fail to produce suitable measurements of mechanical and petrophysical properties. Sample alteration may be reduced through the use of sidewall boring or a hydraulic press to collect sidewall core samples. Sidewall coring and analysis produce acceptable results when suitable formations, such as the soft Miocene and Oligocene sandstones found in Gulf Coast and California reservoirs, are sampled in adequate detail. Data quality in wells where only sidewall cores are available can be improved by developing correlations between conventional and sidewall core values. This requires that conventional cores and sidewall cores be collected from the same interval in selected wells.

2.) Rotary Sidewall Coring—Size Matters (PDF)
A formation sample, acquired from downhole, provides a wealth of information about rock properties not readily available elsewhere. Rotary sidewall coring is one alternative for acquiring downhole rock samples, but in the past, the small sample size often limited laboratory evaluation. A new rotary coring tool, with features that improve sidewall coring operations, addresses core size limitations by offering larger diameter samples.

_________
3.) Not sure, which coring tool Zion is using to get the samples, and if someone knows please share. Most here already know that Zion is using T-Drill F-400, which is a Specialty Industrial Tool House.
General Information on T-Drill F-400
F-400 Flanging machine lips and flanges are formed directly on the end of the pipe - a system that saves you up to 40 % in both time and costs compared with traditional weld neck flange connections: F-400 meets the most stringent requirements of pipe manufacturers working with large O.D. ranges. It is capable of both hot and cold forming within an O.D. range of 42.4 - 419 mm. The F-400 is also suitable for producing of flange pieces.

3.) Down Hole Coring (PDF) - Article has details on both conventional & sidewall coring as well as planning for success:
Rock cores provide essential data for the exploration, evaluation and production of oil and gas reservoirs. Physical rock samples allow geoscientists to examine rsthand the depositional sequences penetrated by a bit and offer direct evidence of the presence, distribution and deliverability of hydrocarbons. Cores provide ground truth for calibration of well logs and can reveal variations in reservoir properties that might be undetectable through downhole logging measurements alone. Operators are better able to characterize pore systems in the rock and model reservoir behavior to optimize production based on the analysis of core porosity, permeability, uid saturation, grain density, lithology and texture. These analyses are carried out in core laboratories around the world.
Sidewall Coring:
Percussion sidewall coring gun. A core bullet is red from a core gun by explosive charges placed behind each bullet. Steel cables, attached to each bullet, help extricate the bullets from the formation after they have been shot. Core guns are retrieved to the surface with core bullets attached, and technicians remove core samples and seal them in bottles.

Thanks JF!
Joining the party here! Hgmmm!
Good question! Lots of good info on sidewall coring, and after reading up on this it looks like its quite possible the set back that occurred was due to Zion acquiring the core samples! Some of this info may help give some perspective, and also for others to be encouraged to research.
1.) Crain's Petrophysical Handbook - Coring And Core Porosity
Possibly Timeframe:
"complete extraction may take several days to several weeks in the case of low API gravity crude or presence of heavy residual hydrocarbon deposit within the core. Low permeability rock may also require a long extraction time."
Sidewall Coring:
"If coring while drilling is impractical, small cores can be taken on wireline using a sidewall core gun or a sidewall rotary coring tool. The sidewall core gun uses black powder explosives to fire a steel bullet into the rock adjacent to the tool. The hollow bullet captures a small piece of rock that is pulled to the surface by the tool. Such guns can recover up to 48 samples in one trip in the hole. Depth control is monitored using a gamma ray log to correlate to previous logs run in the well."
Difficulty in Taking Core Samples:
Taking core plugs for horizontal and vertical rock properties requires care and attention to dipping beds, fractures, lithology variations, and porosity heterogeneity. Do NOT high-grade the selection of core plugs by choosing only good porosity points - this will not provide useful information to control petrophysical evaluations, reserves, productivity or other performance calculations.

2.) Additional Info on Difficulty in Obtaining Samples:
CoreVault System Halliburton
Know your core recovery downhole, not at surface
"Traditional rotary coring services can’t identify if a core is actually recovered. Operators must waste valuable rig time taking extra unnecessary cores or must make additional runs to acquire missed cores. Our tool accurately measures each core cut, guaranteeing your core has been recovered from every requested depth."

Down Hill Coring (PDF)
"Rock cores provide essential data for the exploration, evaluation and pro- duction of oil and gas reservoirs. These analyses are car- ried out in core laboratories around the world.
Before the samples reach the laboratory, they must rst be extracted from formations below the Earth’s surface. The process of coring—obtain- ing representative samples of the formation—is undertaken in either of two ways. Conventional coring is performed as the zone of interest is being drilled; sidewall coring is carried out after that zone has been drilled. Each method yields distinctly different rock samples, and each requires its own coring strategy, procedures and equipment."

My guy takes silver bars, and coins in bulk according to price of SLV that day including spot. Last time I called to check on liquidating some he advised that it would be more economical for me to sell back all at once, which was about a year ago. I also know of another dealer in Arizona who takes coins and bars in bulk. Im going to follow up with my guy to assure liquidation after reading your post. IMO, your experience isn't a common one, but kudos to you in making your sliver into craft and bagging a profit, nice!
Well put!
That kind of confirmation will indeed cause this to soar to new highs; will know soon enough!
I mean .70 and .85 not $70 and $80 lol!
Haha! Whats up amigo! This ticker has thrown me for a loop as I was going to take position at .10 when name change to Bitcoin was announced, but all data was saying no, and to my surprise this thing kept on climbing gapping up to $2.20 and even $3.00, but gapped right back down, and trading between $70 and $85 with extremely small float. I took a position at .85 but If your thinking of trading be extra cautious in your strategy! If it continues at the current pace nice gains can be bagged here!
Tear'em up BULLDOG!!
Sounds good 'Bulldog' Spike! It is indeed commendable that you are fighting back, and being a voice for those who don't know how to fight back on social media, and for us in reaching out to the company. In your pursuit I would try not to spend too much of your time, and energy on these types of traders because these traders especially FuzzyPanda, (Ring Leader), look for companies that can be presented as scams, and once the storyline is in place they attack. Do they care if the company's they are profiting from are scams or not? Absolutely not! All FuzzyPanda (lmao that name...what a dip s***!) and his group care about is one thing and thats bagging gains by all means necessary. Im sure you are aware of this but wanted to share it with the bulldog!
PS: Ill take a look at those twitter links later on!
Lol! Yes, clean as a whistle! Uncertainty in a stock is never a good thing, which is why one must trade accordingly and depend on their own due diligence. Ive read your posts, and like the fundamentals you have laid out, and if I had the time I would respond to everyones posts, but I simply just don't. I already spend to much time on here as it is, but anyhow, back to Zion, hgmmm!! I believe they were advertising heavy in the beginning for their DSPP offering, which was critical for them, but once drilling started they became tight lipped because of SEC rules and guidelines IMO of course. The smallest slip with the SEC on inside trading laws can actually halt a stock, in a heartbeat! When the SEC halts a stock it GETS REAL ugly; trading stops, and everyone holding looses approx 90-99% of their position once the ticker is allowed to reopen again (two weeks from halt date) and begin trading which occurs on the grey sheets where 99.9% of companies don't ever return from! I literally think 3 companies have ever returned since 1934, but when a stock opens on its first day in the greys it gaps down 80% or more, and from there eventually spirals down to triple zeros or .0001. Its a one two punch death sentence and blow from the SEC of companies not operating accordingly. It is indeed nothing to play around with at these levels, which I believe management is more than aware of.
PS: There is only one that is wise and it isn't WiseYoda, ;)!
IMO, it is indeed inside trading laws of why they are being so tight lipped. After all this time, funding, and hard work no one on the team is willing to risk the project by bean spilling. What they are stewarding is quite a big deal so I understand the mindset, but I do believe they should loosen up a little, which will come in time.
Duly noted! Thanks for sharing perspective.
PPS should be higher with this much volume on such a tiny float. It briefly gapped up to $2 and $3 but gapped right back down to 70's. Not sure what MM's are doing!
Yoda's analysis is accurate for the strategy being applied here. Thanks for input.
Yes, only busy! Yoda is trading some other tickers right now with Zion profits...hgmmmm!! I do believe she is going to bounce here again because this is not over! I did not sell my whole position, and sitting on 11k shares! The volume is showing buying opportunity is occurring! In the meantime Zion is a good ticker to be flipping! Ill try to post more later.
$ZN
Will do, thanks!
ITS TIME TO CLIMB $ARSC!!
I agree! I may join you in flipping this POS, but in at .85 right now. If this keeps climbing I will not complain but don't ask me how. I guess company's with low floats and a name change reflecting BITCOIN is all you need to do, ha! In this instant I do hope Im wrong and this one climbs higher now!
Almost took position here at .10 but couldn't due to what the data showed. Im in at .85 now, but not confident holding here at all!
Fear produces panic, panic produces chaos, and chaos leads to errors in analysis. Yoda indeed disagrees with yours; keeping close eye on what's occurring here.
Tiny float here, and company looks solid! Yoda took large position DIS morning...$PYDS!
Likewise Mr. Bourne! Im up really good here, and appreciate your feedback. I always enjoy reading your posts, always making sense in your position! Other positions help me analyze mine better, and indeed Im trading Zion more fundamentally than any other stock right now. This type of trading is not for the faint of heart as is technical, but if I had to say technical is much better on the soul ;). The delay in drilling here indeed caused a set back, which has more than likely now pushed the final analysis here to September 15th instead of end of August of the 15,000 depth. If this company found crude in 2009 based on prayer, and faith, (nuts, if this is actually true), and brought this to $17 until its was announced no commercial was found VS in how they found the drill site now, and end up coming up with zero, zilch, nada oil has me saying no way. I have my triggers in place so if they do go off before the next run up then I will have to change my strategy here!
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for taking the time to post this information!
Going to address this fraud bologna one more time for anyone attempting due diligence here. All questions in how Zion conducts its business operations from A-Z can be found in its 10Q. How does Zion file? According to the guidelines/rules, and forms of the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). Any joker who states Zion is a fraud will not be able to produce any evidence of it; only accusations. I would challenge them to produce because its simply not there.
10Q - ITEM 4. CONTROLS AND PROCEDURES
We maintain disclosure controls and procedures designed to ensure that information required to be disclosed in the reports that we file or submit under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, is recorded, processed, summarized and reported within the time period specified in the SEC’s rules and forms. As of June 30, 2017, our chief executive officer and our chief financial officer conducted an evaluation of the effectiveness of our disclosure controls and procedures. Based on this evaluation, our chief executive officer and our chief financial officer concluded that our disclosure controls and procedures were effective as of June 30, 2017.
Zion's Liquidity and Capital Resources:
The way in which Zion has raised all their funding is 100% legal. The liquidity of a company is measured by its ability to meet potential cash requirements, in which Zion has met ALL capital requirements through the issuance of their SECURITIES as well as proceeds from the issuance of convertible debt, as well as proceeds from the exercise of warrants and options to purchase common equity.
For example, the latest DSPP option raise states on page 30 of its 10Q:
During the six months ended June 30, 2017, cash used in operating activities totaled $4,206,000. Cash provided by financing activities during the six months ended June 30, 2017 was $8,535,000 and is primarily attributable to proceeds received from the DSPP. Net cash used in investing activities such as unproved oil and gas properties, other assets and restricted bank deposits was $3,693,000 for the six months ended June 30, 2017.
It states for six months ended the primary funds for the company to operate came through its DSPP option raise, and IMO the best way for a pre revenue company to get its funds. The total amount of funds received from the DSPP, including the exercise of warrants, from the inception date through June 30, 2017 is approximately $21,564,000! Surreal milestone accomplished...well done!
10Q ITEM 1A. RISK FACTORS
During the quarter ended June 30, 2017, there were no material changes to the risk factors previously reported in our Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2016.
Here is some feedback for any new investors reading the bulletin boards. After I finish reading it Ill attempt to post more if Im able to. A big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share some of their due diligence here. It is most appreciated!
Page 7 Notes to Financial Statements state, "The Company expects to incur additional significant expenditures to further its exploration programs. Management is of the opinion that its currently available cash resources are sufficient to finance its plan of operations, including the drilling of the MJ#1 well to the desired depth and the subsequent testing, through January 2018. To carry out further planned operations beyond that date, the Company must raise additional funds through additional equity and/or debt issuances or through profitable operations...."
This confirms the press release that stated the company's success in securing the funds to complete the drill. Now, if evidence is found that a petroleum system can indeed be built at this site...well then, GOODNIGHT Irene!! Securing the additional funds to set up the system will not be difficult after this, but if this well proves otherwise then Zion will be finished.
Page 17 note 7 revealed some information I was unaware of to the onshore licensing regulatory process with State of Israel’s Petroleum Commissioner, and energy.
Environmental and Onshore Licensing Regulatory Matters
Various guidelines have been published in Israel by the State of Israel’s Petroleum Commissioner and Energy and Environmental Ministries since 2012 as it pertains to oil and gas activities. Mention of these guidelines was included in previous Zion Oil & Gas filings.
On May 16, 2016, the Energy Ministry issued new guidelines for the preparation and submission of a drilling program in accordance with industry best practices or “Good Oilfield Practice.”
On May 17, 2016, the Energy Ministry issued new guidelines for production testing in accordance with “Good Industry Practice” detailing the applicable measures and reporting requirements.
On June 28, 2016, the Energy Ministry issued new guidelines for occupational health and safety practices regarding oil and gas drilling and production activities per international norms, coupled with Israeli legal safety guidelines. These regulations focus on industry best practices in the area of health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) factors as well as risk management. In addition, there is a new requirement to have the Petroleum Commissioner’s approval over the safety standards which the operator seeks to apply. The Company believes that these new regulations are likely increase both the time and the expenditures associated with obtaining new exploration rights and drilling new wells."
____
To the ignorant traders who think Zion is a scam here is one of the pathways they [correctly] used in securing funds to bring attempted value into the company, which is occurring now. Page 19 note 8 reveals that the company secured its remaining funds to complete the well with additional funds raised to work till the end of the year. Seeing that they had enough funds to get started, but not enough to finish, and succeeded in it, deserves credibility. This was no easy goal to accomplish. They had to time certain events to the best of their ability, which means utter failure could have occurred. Zion was believing that their stock was going to react once they announced drilling in the beginning of June, in which they were correct. By July the stock broke its 52 week high, and the opportunity to buy Zion stock at a $1.00 per share went like hot cakes. Note 8 states Zion raised nearly $6.7M in July to secure funding! Well done!
Note 8 - Subsequent Events
Between July 1, 2017 through July 31, 2017, approximately $6,650,000 was raised through the Company’s DSPP Program, including its most recent New Unit Program which terminated on July 12, 2017, as well as the exercise of outstanding warrants (ZNWAA, ZNWAC, ZNWAD, and ZNWAE) into Common Stock.
Thanks for sharing!
He indeed has an interest here. He wrote that article on SeekingAlpha so his credibility is at stake, which he has doubled down on now. Whether he backs up what he writes, and has a short position here or had one as well is anyones guess.
Yoda would not frown it if this was FuzzyPanda position! The principle of reaping, and sowing is not bound to just the scriptures for such laws are universal; even to those who believe not that they exist.
Hgmmmmm!
Must weigh in here for a second. Ive seen one of those tweets, and replied to one of them. Got an absolute kick out of it! Zion has all their filings in order, and they are not delinquent. These ignorant traders who think Zion is a scam because they are pre-revenue, and raised funds using their stock to bring the VALUE to it are complete morons! They are a public company, lol, and are using the marketplace like how many other public companies do in their position. I know POS fraudulent companies and Zion is not one of them; they do not fit the mold. They operate correctly. I would love to see the SEC face to reading a tweet from FuzzyPanda about Zion being a fraud...haha! FuzzyPanda who? WTF! Haha! Ok, sorry couldn't resist...The SEC sees every filing the moment its published, and if funny business is going on they wouldn't need an avatar named FuzzyPanda to tell by a tweet...haha!
I have a good idea why I think they amended them, IMO I believe they are in conjunction with the Form 4, and 5's that were filed. When a Fully Reporting company conducts business it is eventually filed, and disclosed showing whats taken place. Sometimes, as you are aware, one needs to connect the dots of what is occurring to try and anticipate what may, or may not be taking place. Its all speculation anyhow. Happy trading day!
$ZN
Ha! Yes, all 3 feet of me! No lightsaber allowed!
I would agree with that!
Sound strategy! Thanks indeed!
