Not at all: I've been long and strong for over a year or so.
Thank you - at least that is an answer besides: "that's the stupidest post of the day." or words to that effect.
Can't answer - I don't have Level II viewing.
:(
I still think it's a valid question. Why don't you answer it?
Not to be a spoil sport here BUT if Ackman is SO bullish on FnF, why isn't he buying ALL the shares on the ASK?
Outside in my backyard in beautiful New Jersey. Planting veggies and flowers all day. Wish the board could be her. Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Under what rock?
He's been pumping IFON for a couple of months. It ain't goin' anywhere though.
Let's wait and see what our expert BEAMBE says. :)
Correct there. That's why I said no disrespect.
Those kinds of response letters imply why these reps need staffers - to write that kind of bland blather.
Sorry, no disrespect, but Pat Toomey's response sounded like, looked like, and wreaked of a carbon copy response stamped out of his office.
Based on my amateur observations over the past year, I wouldn't be surprised if the MMs take it back down before EOD. Hope not, JMO
Most likely. This is the way FNMA has been trading for a few weeks. I don't see it going up much higher than this.
C'mon - lay off Pjohn. He's got a right to air his grievances; which is what happened on the board today.
He may watch Fox News (or not) but you probably watch NPR. Doesn't matter - they all say the same crap.
I watch sporting events (which are true things) and arts concerts (which are real).
All the rest is claptrap.
Are you suggesting that 48/46 is LOW?
Ask him - he seems like a reasonable person.
That's the kind of post we ALWAYS get from Obit.
I have read Jefferson - but disagree with your conclusions.
I also disagree with your last paragraph.
Now, I suggest you read a good dose of Charles Darwin. Everything is random, you are, I am, this board is.
Chalmer: you make me laugh sometimes (in a good way). Since you are throwing scripture quotes around (camel, money, etc.) why don't you make sure you quote it right?
1 Timothy 6:10
King James Version (KJV)
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
"the LOVE of money . . ." Not just money. I happen to like money; and I hope FnF continues to rise and yield to me more money. Frankly speaking, I also happen to LOVE money and I don't consider myself evil.
With all these conspiracy theories swirling around in your head, how do you sleep at night?
Also, I'm not making fun of you. I seriously would like to know.
Long and Strong FNF
Disclaimer: I'm a card-carrying atheist.
Now that's a good answer.
Precisely my point. That's why I don't understand why anybody even talks about it.
Thank - I shall print this out and read it and study it. I still don't see where it says that the GAP just HAS to be filled.
In the words of Doctor House (TV show): "we're all here to learn."
Thanks nater13. I just read it, but I will print it out and read it some more. Still doesn't make sense as to why the gap HAS to be filled.
Yep - remember now. I wish someone would explain why filling gaps are so damn important. I've looked around the Internet, etc. but it doesn't make much sense to me.
Anyway, we all know this is a news-driven stock. But I suppose the day trader guys and gals look for charts indicators. Zargis is pretty good at it.
Risky Chick used to explain what the "gap" thing was and why it important. I've never really understood it. I think it's the chart people's lingo.
Reminds me of our little discussion yesterday about what words mean and don't mean (in a legal sense). Freedom for Joe might be different than Freedom for Jill.
Lot of folks here just didn't understand what I was trying to say.
No offense. I'm a big-time NBA fan - I know that. I was speaking of the larger, overall issue of politically correctness in our country.
Hey Padrino:
"That infuriates me actually. Comments are one thing, action is another. Is the law now saying that the law can now take away our personal property based on some ill worded and unpopular comments we make?
I don't see how this is legal."
Welcome to the "politically correct/incorrect" gray areas of American jurisprudence.
It's also regrettable that lying is acceptable in our society.
Do your homework first. I took the tour way before 9/11; they may have stopped the tours after that for security reasons. I'm sure their website would have all the info about tours, if any.
Only one correction:
Stockprofitter's grade should be an F. He lied on one of his exams. :)
Good info there. If you're ever in New York, you should consider taking a tour of the Fed Res. Bank downtown. I did; a friend of mine was the tour guide; it's pretty cool to see all those gold bars down in the basement. Yes, they are really there and you can see them.
Harleydude - can't wait to meet you - anyone with an alias like yours has to be a real cool dude.
The Dude Abides.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Alexander Hamilton create the Federal Reserve Bank?
They were (and all still are) crooks.
Let me know the time frame you think when we had "good leaders." Washington, Jefferson, Madison, you name it, they all played the same game as the people now (Clinton was a master); we're just in another historical period now. It WILL NOT CHANGE.
Read some Nietzche, et. al; some political history. The only thing we can do is just roll with the punches; learn how to take care of yourself, BY YOURSELF.
Sorry to over-philosophize.
I lean to "deceitful". No question most are intelligent, smart people -- but it's just the nature of the political paradigm we are in. I don't believe ANY OF THEM.
Absolutely correct.
It never surprises me the way these elected politicians play games. I'm still plowing through the LBJ biographies and his ENTIRE career was a charade and game-playing. He even admitted that in his later years.
For the umpteenth time - this stock will NOT start moving until release from C-ship and/or out of OTC and into another exchange.
PERIOD - SO BE IT.
How can there be a "YES" vote if no vote is scheduled?
