Be aware that this technique may bite you in the butt in the next couple months. IH and SI will be moving to a new colocation facility which will cause the IP addresses of the servers to change.
Once we move, you will need to delete the entry in your HOST file or you won't be able to find us.
We'll post a notice right before we do the move.
Maxthon used to be called MyIE2. I've never used it, but suspect it has the same vulnerabilities that IE does since it's built on IE.
Maxthon is based on IE if I recall correctly so it has some of IE's quirks.
Making the accesskeys known without cluttering up the interface is what I'm pondering now. I tried putting parentheses around the appropriate letter - like "(N)ext" - but that looks ugly to me.
The ALT-P and ALT-N keys works in Firefox 1.5.
Right, but if you upgrade to Firefox 2.0, you'll need to use SHIFT-ALT-P and SHIFT-ALT-N
Try it now.
Dang I love new versions that break old functionality ;)
For Firefox 2.0, you have to user SHIFT+ALT to use the accesskeys
QuoteMedia must have been having issues. Seems to be working now though.
What are you searching on?
Ok, try this. I added an accesskey to "Next" and "Previous". If you're using Windows ALT-N for Next, ALT-P for Previous. If you're using a Mac, Control-N for Next, Control-P for Previous.
IE requires that you hit "Enter" after the accesskey, Netscape/Firefox just works ;)
That work around shouldn't be necessary. I added Off-Topic as a valid choice for free boards yesterday. Let me know if it's not working.
does anyone know of a keyboard equivalent to the "next" post button
On most browsers, if you hit the "Tab" button enough times, you can then hit "Enter" and it will take you to the next post. Not terribly satisfying, but if your mouse is dead, it will work ;)
Bob and I have talked about this - Grub, I don't see it on the internal project management tool, but it should be.
Yes, essentially, that is how it would work. There would be a separate table for signatures that would be linked with the message table.
Each post would retain it's original signature.
Yeah, looks like there's still a few rough edges in the read_msg routine.
As you're reading messages, look at the top right corner of the message box. Since you're a premium user, you should see "Next 10". Clicking that link is the batch view. You see 10 messages at a time (or more depending on how you set it).
That would be me.
OK thanks. I've added that possibility into the message now.
What message were you on?
See the post right after yours ;)
There's a 1 pixel "tracker" image that's there for everyone.
Or maybe you've been demoted ;)
Yes
Dunno - I was barreling down I-70 at the time. Luckily no crashes there ;)
Yeah, will be addressed shortly.
Looks like someone took care of it.
I'll be looking at it shortly.
I'll look at that - the redo of read_msg fixed some things and broke a few others.
Friggin Time Service had stopped.
Yep, I do.
How about now?
Yep, they were having issues. Should be fixed now.
Try sending Matt a PM now - should be working now.
Try it now please.

I'm not seeing it - can you describe the sequence of steps you're taking to get the error?

Nothing in life is certain ;)

Still having problems? Try them now please.
