Justice is really hard to achieve when the entire system is run by thieves, shysters, and criminals. As glaring as the evidence against the government is, I'm not fully confident shareholders will ever be vindicated.
"He didn't loose credibility. Mnunchin and Trump are working on stoping the nws and freeing F and F. They just want to do it the right way. There is the right way and the wrong way of doing things. Something that can affect the whole economy of the united states and the world economy must be handled correctly."
An even bigger crock!
"I know some people and my contacts are telling me good things are going to happen. Mununchin is working hard on this. Relax and load up. Great news is coming."
What a crock!
Yes he is and so is that hooked nose SOB at Treasury!
LOL! I can't criticize your post at all!
I don't know if you noticed but we are under new management now....
or are suppose to be. New management promised change and likely to take place in the first 100 days. We need to send someone to D.C. to check pulses and see if there is any life.
Go out on the street and ask John Q. Public what he knows of F&F and any nefarious activities that may be going on with the two entities.
Then observe the puzzled look on his face!
We don't have any Woodward and Bernstein moment.
The message probably goes something like this: If the average working family in the country doesn't have three months of operating expenses put away for a rainy day, we will require Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac shareholders supplement your savings accounts with their obnoxious and outlandish profits; previously used to shore up Obamacare before that fact became public knowledge.
Looks as if the shareholders can't even muster one aggressive, tenacious investigative reporter much less a group to report on this scandal.
Who would have thought that justice had become so elusive in the United States of America? Any direction we turn, there seems to be individuals in the path that certainly look complicit in the federal government's lawlessness.
Not so Sammy boy! Trump and Mnuchin will be out of office before Sweeney ever makes a decision. Heck, you and me might be gone too!
And that statement by Kudlow represents absolutely everything he knows about Fannie and Freddie......no more, much less!
I'm sure I saw that idiot Mnuchin being sworn in as Treasury Secretary some time back. Wonder when he plans to actually report to work in that capacity?
The Fannie and Freddie "problem", which could be solved by a first grader, remains active and in regards to dollars, represents an amount equal to 1/4 of the total national debt. One would think that to be a high priority item.
Seems to be yet another diversion to avoid getting down to the real business at hand.
You confuse the NWS and the conservatorship.
And that makes him no better than that POS Jack Lew who was in the seat before him. The NWS funds are a result of a de facto nationalization by the government and was illegal, last I checked, except during time of war. It is STOLEN MONEY! Justice shouldn't be this hard to find but as time drags on, the possibility might be that it doesn't exist at all. If so, the country has gone over the edge.
Sit up in your desk and pay attention now. FHFA was always going to send the payment to Treasury. It was Treasury (Mnuchin) refusing to accept the payment into Treasury's general fund that was going to stop the NWS. The day is not over yet and we are unsure if Mnuchin is awake on his job but the clock is ticking away.
"I've developed a habit of judging a persons attitude or the way they talk or body language where it's easy to tell whether one is serious or just bluffing."
How do you view Mnuchin? I think he was cast in a job as a political favor and is absolutely CLUELESS. Hoping I am wrong but see no nail on which to hang the hat.
I've never been able to get over that press photo of Mnuchin with the dark blue suit and red tie. Visualize a set of Mouseketeer ears on his head in that photo and my concerns come into focus! LOL!
Salacious means lustful, lewd or obscene so my concern for his pick of words makes me wonder if Bill Clinton is involved!
Investor G said "It's a sign that either I misjudged their commitment to justice and the housing market or they are not as strong and competent as I expected."
Exactly my thoughts!
Nothing much to do around here tonight. Looked over in the corner and saw a length of rope with no intended purpose. Decided to fashion a good old, western justice sort of noose should Mnuchin fail in his duty to shareholders of Fannie and Freddie by not stopping the collection of illegally gotten gains.
I'm not sure rgd 1350 is ever going to get the point.
Absolutely.....and I put more emphasis on Mnuchin because it's his damn job! If he can't do the job then he needs to hear "You're Fired!".
I think the NWS can be a court case won as being unconstitutional so the recap money is actually in the government's coffers as you read this message. They will just need to be forced to give it back. If unconstitutional, shareholders should also be able to win a class action suit for damages during the 4 year + period of total neglect of them by the government.
.............and considering who the senators were that signed the letter......all the more reason to ram through the stoppage of the NWS. All of them operate with criminal intent, as far as I can tell.
Going from quarterly to annual payments is just a stall Obama-era tactic by Watt. He doesn't have sense enough to know we're on to his "I'm going to do something that doesn't amount to a hill of beans"!
The NWS has to end, Watt has to offer it up, and Mnuchin has to refuse acceptance of the quarterly payment. That's the way the thing has to work. If the money goes to Treasury, Trump and Mnuchin are the new perpetrators of the Obama theft of shareholders' money; plain and simple.
"Many very knowledgeable people frankly predicted (ROLG, Epstein, Howard, etc.) that the appeal would NOT be affirmed. Yet it was."
That same group of people thought justice would be derived through our judicial system but over the past eight years, that system has, seemingly, disappeared.
Obamacare had a shortfall in funding and the administration asked Congress for more appropriations. Congress said NO.
Like magic, the funds were found to shore up Obamacare and its timing coincides with the new NWS funds floating around in the Treasury's general fund. Call the Pope, a miracle has taken place!
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, quacks like a duck....
well, you know the drill.
The public only gets its news from the media and message boards. If those in charge of reporting that news to the public are all deaf and dumb, how is the public to ever learn?
We've been screaming SCAM/SCHEME/SCANDAL at the top of our lungs for years and nobody has ever heard our message even once that I can tell.
On this topic, Infowars.com is spot-on!

The "hope" is that the stealing has ended.
You're wanting to play around with semantics. This is the first net worth sweep under a new President and Treasury Secretary. Obama and Lew had sinister reasons for grabbing at that money every quarter.
The new sheriff in town intends to stop all the lawlessness so let us see what Trump and Mnuchin are going to do before we bring in the hypotheticals.
In a corrupt society, the amount of damning evidence is a non-factor when it comes to seeking justice for maligned shareholders of American corporations. This scam, concocted before 2008 by the banking industry leaders, members of Congress and the previous administrations, has not only endangered two American institutions in Fannie and Freddie, for the sake of the game, but has put the country back on the edge of the abyss with the threat of a future recession......all for money and power.
All those involved need to pass through the one way gate of a maximum security prison......never to see the light of day again.
Actually, I have more dire circumstances I wish upon all of them but we must be civil!
It's not F&F's call to stop the draft so there will be no halt of trading or reporting. It is Treasury's call not to accept the draft.
"Will the vitriol that has been directed at the previous administration find a NEW target?"
When it's your time to step up to the plate, you've got to come out of the dugout!
Fannie and Freddie have capital. It is in the US Treasury. You remember all that loot that the government has been taking since 2012 under the illegal nationalization of both entities?
And on the recent article posted about Mnuchin, I believe the author might be right that Trump might need to revisit the criteria concerning his Treasury nominee and subsequent appointment. So far, it appears Mnuchin has been sitting on his hands and done nothing constructive. Throw in the fact that some of his new aides are Democrats to the core and one could develop concerns. The test on Mnuchin, I believe, will come between now and Friday and what he does or does not do for justice.
"Nationalization is, in most cases, opposed by laissez faire capitalists as it is perceived as excessive government interference in, and control of, economic affairs of individual citizens."
Unfortunately you are correct. I haven't seen the first mention of anyone in a law enforcement capacity even mention looking into what is growing to be a mountain of corrupt and, probably, illegal activities by individuals in government. And that said, I don't want that lying Comey to step up and volunteer to look into matters.
Who cares? It's unquestionably wrong to fund Obamacare with illegally gotten gains (a.k.a. Fannie and Freddie's profits).
The only time the nationalization of private corporations might be permissible would be in time of war. The only war taking place in 2012 was the crooked administration and members of Congress with a debt to the banking/lending institutions waging war against mom and pop America (the small shareholders of both entities who actually supported America by investing; only to be viewed as collateral damage). It's much more than a travesty of justice!
"Trump is calling for an up or down vote today. If it's down....will the NWS continue?"
You could call the person whose responsibility it is to handle it and ask. That would be Mnuchin and you might also inquire if he's still alive since he appears to be deceased since being sworn.
They (the Treasury) doesn't come on 3/31 and take the funds from Fannie and Freddie. Fannie and Freddie turn over the funds to the Treasury by that date. If it is to remain a mystery, Fannie and Freddie will offer up the funds to the Treasury and the Treasury will refuse acceptance of the payments from Fannie and Freddie if you are a lucky shareholder. Otherwise, the Trump controlled Treasury will take shareholders' funds as a reminder of how unimportant the equity holders of Fannie and Freddie really are and how worthless Treasury Secretary Mnuchin has proven to be since being sworn; along with a continuation of the violation of law as a result of Fannie and Freddie being defacto nationalized in 2012.
Allowing the pillage to continue is un-American. Of course, what I consider to be American may have left under the cover of darkness over the past eight years since we are now finding out that the Constitution held the same value as toilet tissue to that rogue government.
