From their release...what I think is more important in bold!
The theoretical minimum voltage needed to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen is 1.23 V. However, in real world systems, 1.5 V or more is generally needed because of the low reaction kinetics. So far, other researchers have only been able to achieve this voltage level through the use of either inefficient materials, such as titanium oxide, or very expensive semiconductors, such as gallium arsenide. Also, overcoming the corrosive degradation of these “artificial photosynthesis” systems remains a monumental challenge and has thus far eluded commercialization.
HyperSolar has previously solved the degradation problem through the use of its patent-pending protective coating, which has demonstrated long stability. Now, with 1.25 V of water splitting voltage through an inexpensive but efficient solar absorber, the company has achieved something that has never been done in a real-world environment. Future development efforts will focus on increasing the currents and photovoltages beyond 1.5V.
Awesome!!!!!
Hoping for a killer day tomorrow!!!!
I don´t see it that way (I may be mistaken though...).
If the UCSB is no longer in the picture...they should refer that as a replacement. This is being referred as addition (the action or process of adding something to something else).

HyperSolar Adds University of Iowa to Support Its Research and Development
Top University Enlisted to Help Accelerate the Development of the Company's Breakthrough Technology to Produce Renewable Hydrogen for Commercial Use
SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 3, 2014) - HyperSolar, Inc. (OTCQB: HYSR), the developer of a breakthrough technology to produce renewable hydrogen using sunlight and water, today announced that it has entered into a one year agreement with the University of Iowa to help accelerate the company's research and development efforts to reach its goal of producing commercially viable renewable hydrogen.
The University of Iowa possesses a reputation for pioneering advancements in the renewable energy technologies and sustainable practices in and around the campus. Its state-of-the-art "Sustainable Energy Discovery District" initiative with Solar E-car charging station, alternative fuel vehicle fleet, solar panel technologies on Cambus Maintenance facility, etc. epitomizes its leadership role towards developing a sustainable future. Its excellence in energy efficiency research is well recognized and continues to grow. Recently, a graduate from University of Iowa was awarded top University recognition for her work with hydrogen fuel cell storage.
"We are thrilled to add experienced and knowledgeable scientists from yet another prestigious University to our research group," said Tim Young, CEO of HyperSolar. "The great team at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) has helped us achieve a number of major breakthroughs toward renewable hydrogen fuel production. We believe that the addition of the University of Iowa will help us reach the major milestone of 1.5 volts needed for direct solar water-splitting. We believe that reaching this major milestone will allow us to cost effectively produce renewable hydrogen at or near the point of distribution."
Just my thought...
hopefully a sign that good news are coming...
contract with UCSB is ending at the end of the month....at least...they need to mention what will happen with that!
“Our strategy at Breitling Energy all along has been to target assets that show potential at conservative oil prices,” Faulkner said. “We say no to prospects a lot more often than we say yes. This way, I don’t worry what Saudi Arabia or OPEC is doing. If our strategy works today, it will work when prices recover, which I firmly believe they will,” Faulkner noted.

very nice last three days of trading!
accumulation keeps increasing...and we´ve had few days with good volumes...
i think this is looking good for future growth of PPS.
It's pretty quiet around HYSR right?
I think the usual monthly announcement/PR should come up in one or two weeks...before holidays.
If I look back...there has been always 1 or 2 announcements/PR´s per month.
Also, contract with UCSB is expiring at the end of month...they should say something about it too.
I honestly think that´s when other type of companies come into play...for example HYSR. I´m a long investor in both though....FCEL and HYSR...
Just my opinion...
I agree...awesome read!
I have the feeling that HYSR needs to develop their technology in 2015...otherwise they may miss the boat...
I hope the university of Iowa partnership really pays off by the middle of the year...
No worries...different opinions make this board more interesting!
I personally still think market or industry news are correlated...directly or indirectly (depending on the case).
This is what I meant...
From today´s PR...
http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/hypersolar-looks-to-future-as-hydrogen-fuel-demand-increases-otcqb-hysr-1969135.htm
...While citing the US as the leader in hydrogen fuel production, the report also indicates that China will undergo the greatest share of growth, due to enacting tighter restrictions to combat their well-chronicled air pollution issues...
poised: about to do or achieve something after preparing for it
Hopefully...
That would be awesome....to get some important news before year's end. Every time they release these type of articles...like the one today....stock sinks badly! Depressing...
what kind of news are you expecting? voltage? UCSB contract renewal? technical advance?
There is no volume...I don´t get it...
What should we expect tomorrow?
I will give it a try...
I recommend you to take a look at their most recent PR´s...in marketwired.com. Most of them are pretty short: http://www.marketwired.com/AdvancedSearch/AdvancedSearchResults.aspx?sid=427620d5-fd84-4c52-9c71-26c77d13ab3c
Now to your questions:
- when and how they are going to make money?
I´ve never seen an estimation on when their technology will be ready. Never seen a timeline from their side...maybe there is one...but I haven´t seen it.
In regards on how...from their latest 10k report:
Page F-6.
Line of Business
The company is currently developing a novel solar-powered nanoparticle system that mimics photosynthesis to separate hydrogen from water. We intend for technology of this system to be licensed for the production of renewable hydrogen to produce renewable electricity and hydrogen for fuel cells.
Additionaly, I recommend you to read pages 6 and 7 of their 10k report. It really explains some of the background history, actual and future concerns from the company, etc.
I hope this helps.
I´ve been following HYSR for quite some time and I have faith on them. I personally keep adding shares on dips and holding for possible real good news next year. I like the idea and technology. This is just in my most honest opinion.
In the long run, more need for renewable energy.
This helps the case of HYSR...
Lots of good things lately....I hope HYSR can capitalize soon!!!! Energy production is #1 source of greenhouse gas emissions...

GO HYSR!
Nice close...any chance this thing can go to $1?
To your question....I´m not sure because the below message is not so clear...
The University of Iowa team will be led by Dr. Syed Mubeen Hussaini who joined the University as a Professor in August and has been instrumental in HyperSolar's progress while leading the research at University of California, Santa Barbara.
Maybe they were already collaborating with them since August....but now they made it official...not sure.
I´m looking at HYSR as an investor....so I like this announcement!
They are adding another University and Research and Development team....they are talking about 1 year....not sure if UCSB will end collaboration since their contract is up at the end of the year.
I think this is awesome news. HYSR keeps surprising us with good news in the last weeks.
Hoping to see voltage announcement soon.
GO HYSR!!!! All these articles help the case of Hypersolar...
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-un-climate-change-report-20141102-story.html
it seems like there is a lot of accumulation...line keeps trending up.
Anybody see anything major being announced before year´s end?
I assume the extension of contract with UCSB will come up fairly soon...
Other than that....what type of news can come our way? some items that come to my mind:
- voltage improvement? the 1.5v
- anything related to patent/s
- another technical or desing improvement
- something related to H2 Generator that has been in design for quite some time...
Any thoughts are welcome...
Good catch by the way!!!!
I see what you mean. That day was 3/25/2014, I believe HYSR closed in $0.065.
I see strange that Marketwired is not releasing these news....sice they have been releasing all HYSR news and PR´s in the past...
We will find out what happens tomorrow.
Is this really new news?
This is strange....it seems a remix of news from last week...and previous...
Is this a new patent filing? I´m a little bit confused...
Not so sure if this will help the stock tomorrow.
Any thoughts?
I agree!
I hope the best for HYSR...
does anybody see this stock being an investor´s stock rather than especulative and MM´s stock any time soon?
i´m personally invested in HYSR becuase i like and i believe in their idea...i really think there is potential and i´m holding and buying dips....but i´m concerned about everything else going around with these type of stocks...
any thoughts anybody?
well.....opportunity to buy shares cheaper!
What a fun day!!!!!
Same as Jun 22nd if I´m not mistaken....with an 80% gain that day...
I think they are done for the month...
Already two PR´s in October...
I really think we will have a lot of news from now to the end of the year. Contract is ending, maybe something related to the patent, etc....
I´m really hoping this thing goes somewhere!
I´m not an expert reading Level II...but...
Blocks of 10,000 size (5) from 0.0296 to 0.0291
Then 16,420 @ 0.0289
then 100,000 @ 0.0275
then 12,000 @ 0.0248
lots of action....last hour is going to be busy!
Google does...
Continental Holdings International Inc. OtcBB : COHI
I take this 70% gain....no doubt!
We are not even in the last hour....more fun to come!
Go baby GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! 1M bid at 0.0295 by CDEL...
Awesome! I just put my email there too...
I tried to sign up for alerts in Marketwired....but i think it´s a little bit more complex...
