Quote: I wouldn't be surprised if Kim already did his own test and the silkworms past with flying colors. He can't afford very many public missteps now of all times. He is very secretive and not forthcoming. It's his way, you may not like it but it is his company. Could mean decent additional income on top of the spydersilk which is the main event. Thanks for the heads up on the test wrap up date.
This is positive news yet it is met with an over abundance of skepticism of the substance and criticism of the grammar (of all things). Maybe earned after a decade in some peoples minds but I find these PR's a plus for the company and the share holders. All of this makes me more confident that good things are on the horizon.
Yes you are correct but this acknowledges that other technologies are being pursued which is a positive. It is all about the silk, we know, but this also has and adds value.
My friend creates custom jewelry and deals in the very high end of the market. He has had customers who wanted custom jewelry with engraved names, images, etc. The client may want to see several variations of the design, or engraving or letter type to approve so they can go to the next step in the design process. These prototypes are done not with precious metal but with lesser quality stock. I think King Group wants to see if Prodigy can provide samples of various weaves, densities, etc. Just like my jeweler friend's clients want to be provide samples. Companies like people all have different requirements.
Of course thousands of years...but my point is that when did the client ask for them and what blends. I guess you could have sent 99% cotton..98%...97% months ago.
King Group controls what blend is requested and they control the timeline...when they need it. To complain that these samples could have been made and delivered months ago is a stretch to say the least.

"Good news: No more travel permit checking for green zones in Hanoi
Viet Nam News September 16, 2021
Vietnam capital city of Hanoi will halt checks of travel documents in 19 districts deemed to have no community COVID-19 cases.

I think many of you are correct in that things are now falling into place. Many positive and more forthcoming info in recent posts. Unlike the vague posts of the past. Many I feel with be rewarded and others can see this in the tea leaves. A good gauge for that is the called for level and amount of positive posting. It is astonishing........
You say you could see $3 per share and not $10, but if Kim does deliver on a consistent basis some tonnage, wouldn't $3 be a starting point? Agreed $10 is extremely optimistic, but somewhere in the middle wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility?
Puma is now using "elevated materials" in the textiles that they will be using...wow that really nails it down. The only thing elevated will be the price because it is made from "elevated materials" don't cha know!! SMH
I have been here 5+ years and still remain positive. Kim can do what he wants, it is his firm. If that really bothered me I would have sold long ago. Dimes made a great point about eventually the amount will come out. The worst case scenario is 3 months down the pike. Why not a bit sooner? Okay Kim says no! I'm fine with that. Still optimistic that things will be better shortly. Both you and Dimes make very valid points.
Bullseye! Excellent post.
I am not trying to make excuses for Kim. I have some cracks forming in my resolve like many of us. But once a lawyer (or any other occupation and additionally being married to one) you retain certain behaviors. Both Mojo and Web have make good points, and well taken I must add. God,I can't believe I just said that.
All this talk about lawyers being secretive or better yet "not forth coming" is so true. One of my best friends, that I have known for almost 40 years, started out in a convent and ended up being a lawyer. Complete opposites on the occupation spectrum. What you interpret as deception is just the temperament they have developed over many years in the profession. She works (her calling) mostly with mentally challenged clients and wards of the court and is not in a 6 or 7 figure income category. It's not the money it is the mission. Never discusses facts about the cases though it would make little difference considering her clients. She many times has said the last thing you ever do is give the other side the advantage of one small insignificant fact that will become the hammer that they use to nail you to the cross. Is Kim this that saintly, no, but if you were that deceptive (as many swear he is) you wouldn't run a scam for twelve years, you would find another and start the cycle over again. Still cautiously optimistic. Maybe time for the lawyer to turn over the reins to a business person.
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Trevor Kane's employment stop around the first of the year. This is eight months later. Could these breakthroughs be the work of another staff member or the culmination of his work? Maybe, maybe not. Again speculation. Possibly they are moving forward technologically with the hired help. Either way this is positive and I would like to see some existing staff member named or a new chief hired to head the research. Golferman is right, a chief should be named or hired.
Thanks Bob, that was the point I was trying to make. I like Daryl's optimism but that is way down the road barring any PR about serious tonnage and contracts with major companies and the government. Kim is not a young man anymore (unpredictable to boot) and if events start falling in place depending on how long he holds out the number grows with each event. I see him agreeing to some sort of a buyout with him in a peripheral role. Just an optimistic hope, been here a long time and I hope it pays off for the longs and shorts. GLTA
From what I can gleam from the 2021 Q1 that figures at a little over $23 a share. I like your optimism. I'd settle 1/4 of that at this point-and that is being overly optimistic in the short term.
Great post.
All this piling on about Kim selling shares, milking the company,etc.,etc. reminds me of a Marx brothers movie where the fat lady (Margaret Dumont) and Groucho are in a restaurant and she complains about how bad the food is. Groucho then interjects "Yes, and the portions are so small!" Give me a break.

"The posts that I’m seeing indicates to me that good news is coming."
I agree.
If a stock was .10 and it doubled the first year. Exponentially you would see:
Year 1-$.20
Year 2-$.40
Year 3-$1.60
Year 4-$2.56
Year 5-$6.55
Year 6-$42.92
Probably a buyout by then or before. It is all in the time span. Let's hope we all prosper from this. Exponentially or a multiplier of 20x to 50x the present stock price in a shorter time span is possible! Happy independence day.
This was posted in an article in Wired.
A separate venture, Michigan-based Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, has banked on the hope of spider-silk-spun-via-silkworm since the early 2000s. Last year, they developed a new technique to make custom silks. Silkworm DNA normally instructs cells to make a protein consisting of one “heavy chain” capped by two much smaller chains. Kraig Labs’ “knock-in, knock-out'' tech gives the silkworm’s genetic machinery new instructions, essentially overwriting the previous recipe, replacing that heavy silkworm chain with a tougher spidery alternative. “The world knows how to make silk. We've been doing it for four millennia,” says Jon Rice, Kraig Labs’ COO. “All we're doing is changing the recipe.”

Kraig Labs has engineered silkworms to spin spider-like silk fibers.
Kraig Labs claims to have produced the first “nearly pure” spider silk fabricated by silkworms and has scaled up production. It has partnered with a company in Singapore to make luxury street wear and is working with Polartec on performance outerwear. The company is also considering biomedical uses and bullet-resistant protective apparel.
The article covers all of the companies in this industry.
Pretty much what been said in other online publications. Every little bit helps I suppose.
I would like to hear something about tonnage, please. That would be major
boost.
Jon stated "As the Company continues to expand production levels, this successful automation implementation will serve as a template for future equipment investments."
This bodes well for setting the stage. Expansion, ease of sustaining more silkworms, speed. I know this is taking longer than ever anticipated by all, but it appears that there is now a momentum building (albeit slow).
Maybe we can get someone to post his address and google earth link for the good doctor. LOL
That's why I am here, it is a pearl. Thanks for fighting the good fight.
More fake news.
The count down was T-Minus Twelve Years and counting. Let's hope it's in the range of a month or two. I feel we are getting close. Came in at T-Minus 4+ years and still have hope.
A typical Thursday Moaning by the glass is half empty/broken crowd. And yet they stay.
I wasn't clear in my first comment about the stain of bankruptcy and that is my fault. I agree many thriving companies have restructured after bankruptcy. I just fail to connect Kim's assumed vanity and questionable ethics to purposely doing that. We respectfully disagree.
The idea that Kim along with Yorkville would purposely bankrupt a company that he has spent over a decade developing is hard to imagine. If Kim is as vain as some say, why would he place the stain of bankruptcy (which never will be removed) on his company but more importantly his legacy? This defies common sense. Someone who is that vain (not my opinion} would not let that happen.
Both of your emails are reasonable and you were expressing the frustrations we all have as longs. In defense of Ben, he is not in an envious position on the front line taking reasonable punches and far too many low blows. Good things appear to be on the horizon. Unfortunately everyone is a bit on edge..understandably so.
What was your par for the course statement or question to Ben if you don't mind me asking. Thanks
This is funnier than watching the Gong Show.
"Why does it feel more like he took the longs camping and we all woke up sore and buttered?"
Many of us longs bought in under .03 and .04. Definitely not sore and the only thing Kim buttered was our bread.
MASSIVE DILUSIONAL FAKE NEWS ALREADY HERE...
"I'm not always right...but when I am, I drink a Dos Equis! Ha ha ha".
I hear their sales are flat.

Thank you, good to know. Silkworm fast food.
How many shares did Kim give the family dog??? Or did Spot eat them along with Kim's homework.
