did the career thing long enough.

old berk
which drug trial would you try to get in to if you or family had nsclc?
i know that sounds harsh, but why not cut to the chase?
EZ
i think those who have been around the block a few times respect your perspectives. what do you make of the current situations?
jq has always been a more hostile skeptic than dd, if that's possible. very bright, very full of himself for sure, and not proven wrong about pphm as of today.
i do hope he will be, eventually, if for no other reason than to see egg on his face.
must concede that it's very hard to see through the minutiae to tell weather we have the goods brewing or not.
i do understand competition... but since many folks talk about cocktails a la HIV as the future, i'm simply saying that SOC-plus isn't far-fetched to sell...
Dew...back to the original issue of your doubts that pphm will be able to successfully recruit...
since the agent pphm is offering is in addition to SOC, why are you suspecting it will be so difficult? what's the risk to anybody?
is it because pphm is a small, unpartnered outfit who has what many consider to be dubious credentials? (whether that's a fair accusation is open to discussion, but not necessarily a slam dunk either way, imo)
none of us are right all the time...
given your moa of combining facts with opinion, i'm just looking for the factual basis of your skepticism since the agent has been building a track record that points to it not necessarily being the placebo many very bright contributors here have declared it to be over the years.... (whether it's effective enough at anything to become a part of approved treatments or commercially viable down the road is certainly a different story)
Yopp is probably bringing a slingshot to a gunfight.
i refuse to think the shares will sustain an upward move anytime soon in the absence of (1) up-front cash partnership or (2) stunning look-in on p3. both are long shots, imo.
you mean asco 2017? was that a typo?
Dew and others...
do you have irrefutable evidence that pphm is not successfully recruiting for their p3?
it is, Javy? Might it be too soon to know for sure even though it seems like forever already?
market goes down, we go down
market goes up, we go down
gonna change the world?
if we're going to be such a hot ticket, why are there so many shares available at 1.40?
bio...
you are talking about value in terms of what you feel is the untapped potential value. i'm talking about return on investment value, which, to this point, has been non-existent.
the company keeps saying 'this year', the coming year', etc., so it's never 'safe' to not be...'in'.
it would have been VERY safe...in fact, VERY smart, to be 'out' of pphm for the past couple of years...like Thurly, btw..., since those who have been 'out' no doubt made money somewhere else while i can assure you I DID NOT while i believed what i was told by the CEO SEVERAL times. Those who were a lot smarter than i proved to be can get back in shortly. or probably in a year. or maybe never.
THAT'S the value i'm talking about, and it is every bit as relevant as your definition.
no value has been delivered, as it was promised, in years.
King should be removed from the CEO position, if only to acknowledge that, regardless of PRs and scientific 'advances', the market cap hasn't moved, partnerships have not been closed, and desired institutional ownership has not improved.
I'm not saying he should be gone from the company....but a real CEO might have been able to deliver on what our scientist hasn't been able to.
and King has not been able to, that is for sure. while it may be the doings of the chairman, King's name is on the failure to move the share price.
that would be typical pphm etiquette
believer in what? the science, the BOD, or both?
mwg was a cherished friend of several here, who we lost to cancer a week ago... he was probably responsible for getting 20 or 30 people i know of in to this stock, but it didn't hit the market soon enough to help him.
If this stuff works, enough with the delays! Make it happen!
more interesting man than the Dos Equis guy... we're heartbroken up here...
as you well know, he was a PPHMer going waaaaay back..
i do believe it's good that they have not sold what's been authorized. at the same time, any upward spike could be stopped by atm sales...
i do not understand why the preferred hasn't been sold. would love to know if they've tried...unsuccessfully, or if they have not offered any more than what's been sold. of course, if people want it for the dividend and the conversion, wouldn't the PPHMP price be on the rise if shares weren't available? i guess that answer would tell me everything i'd need to know...
Hawking couldn't figure out what goes on here.
Merry Christmas?????????????????????
why did they need to do this if 'partnership(s)' are coming to fruition within 3 or 4 months?
BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT. (in my opinion, of course)
riding back to the basement again.
new 52-week low coming.
but, oh, the catalysts!!!!
wish pphm could have joined the wall street party...
BCS... So let's get it over with!!!! take it to $.70 cents tomorrow in one awesome move. nobody will be able to sell, and we'll get what we get....then it won't be torture by a thousand drops, and tustin will be swimming in cash.
it's the never-ending threat of dilution that makes me crazier than the delays with trials...
jeez
and thank you for reminding me, again, that we're still dead money in light of the lack of positive effect your list has had on the share price.
quadruple witching days tend to have volume 50% above normal...
if the money had restrictions and could only be used toward Liver, that would still be a tremendous plus since it would legitimize bavi. the share price would go up substantially.
they have almost enough cash for SUNRISE...it's admin overhead for continuing operations that are the problem. a Liver partnership would go toward that and additional research, and with a higher share price, preferred or ATM would be less painful.
they NEED somebody else's money. i don't want them eroding any more of mine.
bio..
that breast cancer trial will require BIG BUCKS.
where will it come from? a cash-up-front partnership or dilution that takes us to the $1.15 level????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????/
bio--- the other part of my post is important, and you ignored it. the science is interesting, but it's only part of the story.
share price has relevance for most shareholders. in case you haven't noticed, it remains firmly and unequivocally in the tank. that means pros do not feel that anything big/positive is near term....in fact, they likely suspect it's going to sink further since they're not getting in at this...uh...buying opportunity. pphm does NOT have enough cash to complete p3. so what has to happen? one of two things.
make an effin' deal, for cryin' out loud.
picky, picky. we participated in a conference and lost 7%+.
if we stopped presenting, maybe we'd be at $2.50...
san antonio can get crossed off the catalyst list, eh?
my guess is that pros are assuming another significant dilution gets PR'd before a partnership with money up front.
so you're sayig pphm will be worth 14-27 billion (with a B) in 2 years?
seriously?
absolutely not, pw.
i am a solid gold-plated moderate/realistic participant/observer.
the PPS has gone nowhere since 2007. i hope, more than you know, that it does...SOON.
i actually think it might.
Uhhhh... John's 2007 post didn't turn out to have been off base at the time.
why shoot the messenger?
for expansion, and toward potential additional contracts if not for bavi in the short term, spending money (atm) to make money would not necessarily be a bad thing...
seems like they're pretty confident, and they know more than we do.
at worst, avid grows. at best, bavi works.
paying with the atm or more preferred will not be an issue IF THEY GET THE PPS UP!!!!!
and how relevant is it that pphm is down 2 or 3 cents today when it was up 13 yesterday?
having a quote from Garnick may have been a signal, given his focus on the lead candidate/approval process.. i certainly hope it was a very conscious decision on their part to include that in the PR.
dilution-talk hasn't had much discussion here lately, but its relationship to shareholder value over the last several years has been HUGE. that CANNOT be disputed. i understand new little biotechs have to do it, but we ain't new.
if the BOD had more/better..."Wall Street" skills (respect), the MASSIVE dilution would have happened at higher share prices, MODERATING that dilution.
Save the responses about how the preferred shares have done that. It may have had the effect of reducing it, for now, but it sure as hell hasn't fixed the damage that was done.
99.9%, eh?
Thorpe doesn't even think it's that high.
B-I has a significant presence in the Danbury CT area
1.38
no volume
no interest
are we actually going to get a new 52 week low for Christmas?
i didn't ever suggest it's a placebo. my suggestion is that the BOD is a joke, and the joke may be on us. Bavi may be very helpful in humans, but this group may insure it never gets the chance.
