Security Adviser Flynn says Iran ‘on notice’ after missile test
"Asked if that would include a military option, the official replied, "we are considering a whole range of options. We're in a deliberative process."

Don't worry. One of the posters here promised that Trump is too smart to confront China, Mexico, or Iran. He would never do this. Maybe we will bomb them a little - not a big deal. It's good for gold.
Interesting article written by Andrew Hoffman:
I Have Never Done This Before!
...as over the coming four years, my very, very strong belief is that the catastrophic ramifications of 45 years of monetary destruction are about to be unleashed on the world – and massively overinflated financial asset markets – like never before. This, at a time when the historically best ways of protecting oneself from such cataclysm – physical Precious Metals – are currently, care of 45 years of official price suppression, both qualitatively and quantitatively , as inexpensive as at any time in modern times.

Is it polite to call woman a scammer? Just asking.
No, I am still working in my old age... which tells you how good I am in stock trading. So, most of the time I can't watch markets or chat during the day.
Although max-pain indicator is not always reliable when you try to predict closing price on option expiration, it's very useful for option trades. In this case you don't really care about exact closing price. You just want the close to be within your projected strike range. For example, last Friday with max-pain $8 JNUG closed at $8.31, which is still between nearest strikes $7.5 and $8.5. So, watching it this week we have Mon - $7, Tue (today) -$7.5. If we assume that it will add 0.5 every following day (more than that happens but not often), it will be at $9 on Friday. Meaning that projected share price should be somewhere between $8.5 and $9.5. So, shorted covered calls with strike 9.5 an higher should expire worthless. Using this simple "strategy" I try to hedge half of my JNUG position every week. It works more often that it does not.
I hope it will not. I sold those calls assuming that my shares won't be called away. Kind of hedge...
I think if the same almost identical "not so bad" messages posted on multiple boards at the same time... well, it's still a pump and often just a pure TOS violation. IMO.

JNUG max-pain was at $7 this morning (based on last Friday's trading). So, I sold Feb-3 $9.5 and $10 covered calls. Let's see if JNUG can reach those numbers by Friday.
I can agree with your point about NATO expansion. That was the deal made between West and Soviet Union (Gorbachev) over German unification. Gorbachev was and still is blamed in Russia for this move. He let East Germany go "for free", although could charge any price, and West Germany was ready to pay.
As to the "toppled the democratically elected government in Ukraine" - it's nonsense. It was a people revolution, that turned bloody because of Russian aggression that followed: occupation of Crimea and and South-East Ukraine. There are plenty of evidence, and, moreover, I know this situation from inside (from both sides of the war started by Russia). Of course the new Ukrainian government is as corrupt as the previous one. But this is "norm" for most revolutions - they do not bring a fairy-tale "happy every after". Another group of corrupted politicians makes business on people's blood.
But... this conversation is getting too political, so I will stop here. Sorry for polluting your board.
"We had a similar arrangement with Russia a long time ago, and the US reneged on the deal."
We traded "nuclear disarmament" for "nuclear disarmament" at that time. It was fair exchange. Like to trade Russian sanctions against America (which nobody even noticed) for sanctions against Russia. We will see soon if Trump-politician is any different from Trump-twitterer. BTW, I think he needs to buy a newspaper and TV channel if his intention is to fight with organized gang of news outlets. Even Fox News hesitates to support him fully at this time.
Is this a "new Civil War"?
Hillary Clinton Reportedly Considering Launch of Liberal TV Show
Top Democratic donors are said to be urging defeated presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to run for mayor of New York City later this year.
However, she may have different plans on the table for remaining in the public sphere, with her eyes set on another presidential run in 2020.
According to a close Clinton source who spoke with Ed Klein Confidential, Clinton is considering launching a liberal TV show to ensure she remains in the news.

I don't really care about Farhadi or Hollywood. What it shows is that Trump is going to confront Iran, China, Mexico, and some Arab countries just like he promised during campaign. His "business mentality" doesn't work in international affairs. For example, he proposed Russia to cancel sanctions in exchange for nuclear disarmament... which was immediately dismissed with smiles and comments that this businessman has no idea how this kind of "barter" works and what is the real value of items he wants to exchange. Also, if he believes that he will be able to turn Russia against China to support his anti-Chinese policy... well, it will never happen.

US companies with businesses and properties in Mexico and China will suffer, and US miners with mines in Mexico will actually pay for the Wall.
Now max-pain is back to $8 - the "final" value for today's option expiration. Hopefully JNUG will turn up from here.
Can you explain the point of posting dozens of tickers here? Is it typing practice exercise? We all have internet, Google, and know how to use keyboard.
It was $8 last Friday, went to $7 yesterday, and is at $7.5 today (based on yesterday's option trading). What it actually says is that many traders are placing their bets below market price (ITM for calls). I have sold 9 and 9.5 calls for tomorrow. Didn't think that $8.5 or even $8 may expire worthless too.
Not trying to annoy anybody by mentioning 10%-correct indicator... but max-pain for tomorrow stands at $7.5 right now.
He represents fairly balanced view. One thing I would emphasize talking about difference between Russian and American survival perspectives: unlike Russians Americans is a bunch of armed people. Instead of finding the ways to feed themselves they always have an option to use their guns as a solution of last resort. No survival skills + right to keep and bear arms = bloody consequences. "Starter kit" of PMs won't help much in this scenario. I personally don't see how Russian type of crisis can happen here. But... the population that used to live using cheap labor and goods from other countries may decide that this is a disaster when those privileges disappear. And eventually they will.
That article was actually an explanation (mostly for disturbed Russian readers) why China moved its missiles close to Russian borders: "They are still our friends, this is for United States". I didn't check the map, but it was stated by official commentators that those missiles are placed in Chinese location closest to USA. Pure "diplomatic" move to show new American President "If You Want A Confrontation You'll Get One."
Alleged Chinese missile deployment near Russia targets the U.S. - expert
Beijing’s alleged deployment of the new Dongfeng-41 nuclear capable ballistic missiles near the China-Russia border is not aimed against Russia, but could be a signal to the new U.S. President Donald Trump that China has the means to protect its interests.

"Backed by gold" doesn't mean "made out of gold". It would be the same paper bills, but with guaranteed exchange into certain amount of gold.

JNUG really needs to close above $9 today... better well above $9. Otherwise we are going down from here. IMO.
Thanks. The premium seems to be too high. What is interesting about the coin I mentioned: the slogan "In Trump We Trust" used by foreign country's mint. Very popular opinion in Russia: "We have never lived as bad as under Obama." It sounds like a joke, but it's true. Now Russians have new President -Trump. Putin may getting jealous. At least yesterday Russian authorities issued a warning: "Don't consider Trump to be our friend by default!"
Donald Trump inauguration coin can be yours — for a price
ZLATOUST, Russia — Money, the saying goes, can’t buy love. But $10,000 will buy you the perfect Donald Trump inauguration keepsake — a coin with the words “In Trump we trust.”
It’s the handiwork of a Russian mining company because, as its sales manager put it, “We see our mission as immortalizing in metal the bright events of history and modernity, not only in our country but of the whole world.”
In other words, they really, really love Trump.
The commemorative coin was created by Art Grani. It features the face of Trump on one side and the Statue of Liberty on the other. Only 45 exist: 25 silver coins, 5 gold and 15 that are silver and gold.
“The inauguration of Donald Trump will be a special event in the history of the world; that’s why we have done a collection,” sales manager Kristina Glinina told CNN from the factory site in Chelyabinsk region, about 650 miles east of Moscow.
The coins, the company says, are the perfect “unique gift for your boss, key partners or clients.”
About that price though — TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS?

It's funny you included Iran in this list. Trump is going to confront both Iran and China.
BTW, Russians met US election results with applauds and “national holiday”. Some high level officials even proposed to rise American flags in Moscow. Now watching US Senate Hearings and what Trump’s candidates have to say, they feel kind of hangover. We will see how US foreign policy looks under Trump. As one former KGB general said in interview: “Everything will be OK. The only problem is Trump’s twitter. He may need to talk to psychologist to get rid of this twitter-dependence.”
Russia doesn't want "some war". Russia seeks to dominate in Eastern Europe and former Soviet territory and doesn't hesitate to use force to achieve this. Position of China is a key here. Russians desperately try to get China as a "friend", but China keeps distance mainly because of it's trade relations with United States. I am rather positive about Trumps intentions inside US (although, doubt he will be able to do this), but his foreign policy is just collection of disastrous moves. And the biggest mistake would be to press China hard, so it will be forced to join Russia in anti-American cooperation. Russian arms plus Chinese economic power will be a dangerous match to oppose US agenda everywhere in the World.
I guess today is one of those 10% days - 8.56 close. Actually, for option traders (like me) everything between 8 and 9 strikes means that indicator worked. My $9 and $9.5 calls I shorted last week expired worthless, adding some value to stock position and letting me sell another set of calls next week.
I don't know about 10%, but yes, it's often wrong. Mostly because people keep trading options till the last minute, so the value can move significantly from day to day. I am one of the victim here - some my $4+ shares were called at $6 this week because of covered calls I sold.
It's based on assumption that on option expiration date stock closes at the price that makes maximum open options (both calls and puts) expire worthless - to produce "max pain" for option traders:
http://maximum-pain.com/
http://maximum-pain.com/options/max-pain/
The value changes while option trading lasts. For example, for the next Friday it stands at $8 right now. This works better for stocks with heavy option trading, and JNUG is one of them.
Based on max pain indicator we should close around $8.5 today.
OK, you asked to mark your posts. I did. It's 1 pm now, and...?
What is crazy - he predicts $6 around 1pm... without any supporting argumentation or charts. Why not $3 by 2pm or $15 by 11am? That's typical message you can see on penny message boards. Posters believe that somehow their opinion can influence the trading. Everybody gets scared, sells, and the price will drop. He may need to read ETF prospectus first - to understand how it works.
"As for bringing back the gold standard, the global economy order until World War II, President-elect Trump thinks it will be hard but is open-minded.
“Bringing back the gold standard would be very hard to do, but boy would it be wonderful,” he said. “We’d have a standard on which to base our money.”
