Anyone read this comment on the PP article and verify? This could be huge.
"This Neomedia news must put the nail in the lawsuit against Scanbuy, over who owns the bridge for cellphone to internet advertising. Scanbuy's site also now lists that they have a "license" from Neomedia."
I would think this would seal Scanbuys fate. eom
Is this the beginning of the noisy period?!eom
Mrc: I have also emailed NEOM to find out if this indeed still true. I was also very glad to see that. I don't remember seeing this document before. Very enlightening on Scanbuys progress.
From the Scanbuy file: Interesting information about NEOM. Nice find ifitlooks! Look at the part about nextcode. It appears we do have a license agreement with them.

OT:Wolfin: I think we should let him run for Governor of California. Shake it up a bit.
Success: Any new court info on the Scanbuy front this week? eom
WillaimFl: Didn't you talk to someone at BSDS in the past? Have you had contact with them lately?
I would agree that the dilution is already factored into the price. I could be wrong about resetting the clock. My understanding was that each one of these amendments puts us in a quiet period. This is based on info collected from this board over time. I would have to look up the posts. As far as the time extension, I am not sure. 20 days, 45 days, etc. have been quoted on here. Someone else please correct me if I am wrong. I want this QP over yesterday.
Peterkev, it is an amendment to the S3 that has been out for a long time. It will result in dilution if used. It is available for the company to use as a means to raise capital for mergers, aquisitions, etc as needed. And to answer another post, my understanding is that it resets the QP clock. Hope this helps.
OT: Tax filing question: Can someone point me to a link that discusses margin interest and taxes. I am trying to find out if there is a way to write off my margin interest expenses this year.
I would not venture a serious 'guess' on this till after the quiet period, but if the end of the quiet period brings no new revelations or hint of revelations to come then I say no to a 'Nasdaq' listing this year. The AMEX seems like a more real possibility.
Upon reviewing all the press releases, I was incorrect. I was confusing this with the LSCAN lawsuit. Sorry.
Leapscan using Scanbuy technology? I thought NEOM had an agreement with Leapscan? Input appreciated.
Do we have any chartists or technical gurus on this board? I am curious if you think we will go up first thing in the morning or head down. I watch the action on this one regulary, but it baffles me.
Success: Has there been any updated court dates for the Scanbuy lawsuit? Thanks in advance. It can't be said enough how much you bring to this board. Thanks for all you do.
OT: JP: You have a private message.eom
Comments on the S-4? Anyone emailed Chuck and asked for the reason for the amendment?
Someone asked about the end of the quiet period today, so I thought I would give some dates for entertainment.
If the frequency of the past two or three filings are any indication of future events, it looks like the quiet period should end or a new amendment should be filed by February 22nd. Looking at one of the filings, there was a date regarding something with the Mobot deal(can't remember exactly what it was now)that referred to Feb 15th for something to happen. So, it will probably be somewhere in between if not sooner due to an acceleration request that was mentioned here on this board from those who attended the SHM, if I am not mistaken. I also think that 20 days excluding holidays and weekends puts us at Jan 27th or 30th depending if you count the filing day or not. Also, someone mentioned 45 days for OTCBB stocks. That would put it on Mon Feb 13th. This matches up with the Feb 15th from the other filing. So, we should have a financially rewarding Valentine's day it appears.
Taking the acceleration request, filings, etc. into play I would say that all falls into JP's 3-5 week window perfectly.
Moderators can now refer all QP questions to this post and we will not have to waste postes on the subject.
Of course we could get an amendment, and all bets are off then.
Why the after hours drop?
Island, refer to the post linked below. Thank you Success.

FWIW, tomorrow is the 20th day since the filing.eom
$1 premarket bid on ameritrade. Boy that looks nice, but I don't think we will see that today.
Thanks Success. eom
Do NEOM's patents cover spoken word registry direction to a website? eom
Actually if the 20 day period is business days, and you take out holidays too, that would put the QP ending on Jan 27th or 30th depending if you count the filing day or not.
I just read a little more on sockets news release. It just appears that they are scanning the barcode, but not doing anything with it. It is then accessible to the operating system to use however it will. This is where Bill comes into play. What is he going to do with it?
Movieguy: Thanks for the clarification. That makes me feel much better. For a second there I thought Bill had found a way around NEOM. The later example you give would miss out on all the real world barcodes and limit the usefulness of the application. This could be the biggest news we have heard in awhile. Can't wait for this quiet period to end.
Deos scanning with a barcode scanner(not camera) through a cell phone infringe on NEOM patents? However, I assume that the RFID scanning mentioned would fall under NEOM patents. Someone who understands the patents more please comment on this.

Found it, but I think it only states that they have developed the go window to work with the ms operating system, not necessarily that they have any deals with MSFT. Still interesting.
DD accredited to Aztreedr.

Success correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Aztreedr post an article showing that NEOM had a working relationship with MSFT. I haven't found his post yet, but I am going to look for it again.
PPS guess:
June 06: 0.53
Dec 06: 0.68
Good point Cloud. eom
Do we have a list of questions that we can submit to NEOM management after the quiet period is over? They may not be able to answer them all, but it may be a good time to do it before they enter into another quiet period, which is always a distinct possibility.
The Scanbuy thing worries me for precisely the same reason as the Pondering Primate post. If Neom wins the court case then all scanbuys hard work will have paid off for us. If not they are way ahead of us, especially if they are close to inking a deal with verizon, etc. I say they are way ahead of us, but they may only be ahead of us in Public recognition and not in actual deal making with a big carrier. Hopefully, the end of the quiet period will clear up some of these questions. Even if they find a work around with this, we still have Mobot(or will have soon), which they do not.
I would like to see more discussion on the pondering primate article, particularly from those who met the PP and went to the SHM.
Thanks,
Edster
OT: Beacon27, If I recall correctly, you are the one in Australia. Have you seen the movie Wolf Creek? How much of that is true? They did a very poor job at the ending of tieing everything together in the end. Didn't make sense.
Thanks Success: Go enjoy your company and Christmas.

Success: Anything new on the Scanbuy Case? Thanks!
Could someone please post the TS update tonight? Thanks!

Virgin Settlement clarification question:
I know this has been discussed, but can one of the attendees see if they remember anything on the future virgin revenues. I read from you guys that the 6 figure settlement was for past infringement. Did they say how much they are getting each time someone uses their kiosks now in the US. Was that part of the settlement and there will be no future revenue in the US, or did they clarify on this point.
I know it has been said before, but many, many thanks to all those who spent the time and money to go to the meeting and then share the info with the board. Maybe I can make it next year.
Here's to the end of the quiet period.
