What's going on, no volume today???
Yum...Nice bite!
I'm in : )
Infrequent news tells me the scientists are in control. No pumping required. When their data is compiled and ready it will be made public.
My trust is in the science and scientists.
The only thing we have to fear is, fear itself...
Monthly report due $oon.
$tay tuned!
medchem,
I have to agree... Breathtec is in the lead in the testing realm and looks very promising, extremely undervalued with room for explosive growth.
However, What creditable data do you have to support your statement that "Cannabix is probably 5-10 years away from market" and "Hound Labs could be 3-5 years away from market"?
Again, What evidence do you possess that supports your statement that Hound Labs is closer to market than Cannabix?
None - It's pure speculation...
"Cannabix Technologies is working to develop a rigorous trial with expedited ethics approval to begin detailed scientific trial testing of the Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer. This trial is intended to compare the Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer utilizing breath samples with correlated blood samples."
Dr. Yost and the world renowned team at the University of Florida would not begin trial testing if the device wasn't ready for prime-time.
Just my opinion,
"The Beta 2.0 prototype has provided excellent sensitivity in lab testing and will be utilized to conduct scientific studies with live marijuana users (smokers and edible consumers) to test the device for its accuracy and sensitivity using a controlled scientific testing protocol. The results of the scientific test will be used to prepare submissions for approval of the Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer as a court-approved device." - Kal Malhi
Testing raises more questions than answers -
Based on information on how testing was conducted by Hound Labs, one could argue if the participants right to privacy was compromised or if any individuals rights were violated in the process.
Similar unregulated field testing was performed recently by a Canadian insurance company studying the effects of impaired driving. "MPI is facing considerable criticism for its decision to ask participants stopped by police in a random checkstop to participate in the drug-use research. Some view the research design as "coercive and invasive". Subjects were asked to voluntarily submit breath and saliva samples and were asked a series of invasive questions.
Basically, scientific trial studies are engineered to follow strict protocols that are overseen and controlled by a credited governing agencies. Product certification testing is seldom performed in house but conducted by independent third party laboratories.
To claim Hound Labs has completed testing is ridiculous.

The information I was able to gather reflects Hound Labs conducted questionable field testing in California that caused a stir several months ago. Can you provide a link confirming they have a "clinical trial" in progress?
TIA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOL!!!!!!
Hey Zlinger,
Great advice for the newbies... LOL!
"Cannabix is closer to pursuing a clinical trial than any other player in the game right now. Lots of companies will pump their products. At the end of the day, right now, nobody has run a clinical trial. That fact alone suggests we have nobody that is close to market.
With that said, Cannabix is closest to pursuing a clinical trial - they are the only company who stated publicly that they have a trial design taking place (and have Huestis, who literally has run the show at high government level with respect to drugged driving)."-medchem 10/02/16
All this nonsense tells me we're closer than ever...
BLOZF LONG!!!
Shell,
The following excerpt is from today's BTH/CF MD&A.
"FAIMS Technology -
To achieve its goal, the Company is focused on innovation and advances in the field of specialized mass spectrometry. It is actively pursuing multiple, alternative research efforts into Field Asymmetric Ion Mobility Spectrometry (“FAIMS”) technology."
Do you believe BTH/CF is finished with Yost Research?
Many thanks Shell for everything.
BLO/ZF LONG!!! $$$
I have to agree - I also believe this is a good sign however, clarification regarding the options award is justified.
Was it compensation for a milestone achievement?
Did mgt renew it's licensing agreement with UF?
Were trial testing protocols finalized?
We can all agree, transparency isn't too much to ask...
The writing is on the wall -
Anyone caught on the sidelines will be left behind.
BLO/ZF LONG!!!
I tried that before, it is also showing an error msg.
I was able to open the link one time. Now I'm getting an error msg.
BOOM!!! OOPS THERE IT IS!!!
Another Excellent find Shell!!!
Dr. Goldberger's recognition amongst his piers and the scientific community speaks volumes!
This undoubtedly will spark additional interest in BLO/ZF.
Proceed with caution -
The incoming Trump Administration may usher in a more hostile climate to state efforts to legalize the sale and distribution of marijuana and products that contain the drug or its derivatives. Despite the President's favorable stance on medicinal marijuana, the reality of the President's choice for AG, Jeff Sessions, is beginning to have a chilling effect on the fledgling cannabis industry.

Just some food for thought...

Hello lucky!
"translated; they don't have one."
As in trial or device?
"Cannabix Technologies is working to develop a rigorous trial with expedited ethics approval to begin detailed scientific trial testing of the Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer. This trial is intended to compare the Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer utilizing breath samples with correlated blood samples."
Just remember folks - Dr. Yost and the world renowned team at the University of Florida would not begin trial testing if the device wasn't ready for prime time.
"In preliminary studies, numerous standards were analyzed by both home-built and commercially available FAIMS systems. Several components necessary for a miniaturized POC FAIMS device are currently under development; notably, a novel asymmetric square-waveform generator that is responsible for separation of ions by FAIMS, and a standalone detector which allows the FAIMS device to operate without the need for a mass spectrometer. These components were tested for function, efficiency, and reliability, and the data will be presented here."
PITTCON 2017!!!
Geodcan,
What I believe medchem is referring to test protocol. At the point of administration (POA), a swab is placed in an individuals mouth where its saturated with oral fluid. Once saturated, the swab is removed and then sealed in a vial where the oral fluid mixes with a solution. Results are displayed by a series of lines that correspond with lines marked on the tube to reflect the type of drug detected.

The results are witnessed by law enforcement and documented. At the conclusion of the test, the vial containing the swab is returned to the individual. Technically DNA is collected and returned.
medchem, is this correct? Apologies for the interjection.
Lets face it - The Canadian people and their elected officials aren't going to sit around and wait for anyone to make their roads safer. An instrument to detect drug impairment at the roadside/workplace is needed NOW and that void will be filled by the first proven technology that exists. Weather that technology infringes on an individuals rights or withstands the scrutiny of the judicial system is another topic for discussion.
DNA collection isn't the only downside to saliva swab testing. Several problem areas have been identified such as false positives after consuming certain foods and the detection window. A positive test result only reveals that a drug was ingested in the past. Currently, these tests can produce positive test results for up to 4 days after ingesting! Long after any impairment has passed.
As for oral fluid testing in general, many issues will be ripe for litigation and court certification will be it's largest hurdle, especially in the US.
Just my opinion,
PS, I simply throw articles up. It's up to the individual to take it for face value.
Uhhh... never mind.
Any guess as to when TRWRF will begin trading on the OTC?
Shell3, AMG, lucky,mydog, Smoki,
You guys rock. Thanks for all you do.
Best regards,
Off topic but relative -
Has anyone noticed a ticker has been issued to our "spinco" shares? Does anybody have information on weather TRWRF will be trading on the OTC?
Last post regarding Torino Power Solutions.
TIA
Somebody is testing : )
"Canada’s Liberal government plans on introducing a bill to legalize pot in the spring and there are currently tests being done on marijuana breathalyzers."
http://m.torontosun.com/2017/01/08/moving-to-root-out-drug-impaired-drivers
We already know, DUI alcohol cases are many lawyers’ bread and butter. These cases involve clearly defined impairment standards, a generally accepted way to measure individuals against those standards, and ongoing testing and verification of the instruments used to measure the presence of alcohol. Saliva swab testing is a relatively new type of test without the standards developed over many years as with the alcohol breathalyzer. Cannabix is modeling it's device and testing protocols to achieve court certification similar to when the alcohol breathalyzer was first being developed.
When it comes to testing for THC impairment at the point of administration (POA), Invasive, oral swab test results may be inconclusive simply because they do not measure on-the-job/roadside impairment. A positive test result only reveals that a drug was ingested in the past. Currently, these tests can produce positive test results for up to 4 days after ingesting! Long after any impairment has passed.
As for oral fluid testing in general, many issues will be ripe for litigation and court certification will be it's largest hurdle, especially in the US where individuals are protected by the fourth amendment.
Just my opinion,
The enormity of the advancements in the technology and it's application hasn't registered with institutional investors yet, that is about to change...
This is the invention for the times, we are at the cusp of something YUGE!!!!
