I'll get rid of it...no problem
He's got water and shelter (and sometimes I feed him...the neighbors leave food out for him all the time). I have a blue tote shoved up against the side of the shed with some blankets in it so he (she?) doesn't get wet when it rains.
And Terri's sister Claudia has several dishes of water out by the bird feeders for squirrels and chipmunks and whatever else happens by.
Ours went till 10 this evening...it's still too hot to breathe out there. I hope the stay cat that lives under our shed is ok.
LOL I know what you mean. I'm like that with my cell phone...something I didn't have for the first 30-some years of my life...I now can't leave home without it.
It was pretty bad for the little while I was out this morning watering everything...and that wasn't for long.
http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Excessive-Heat-Warning-In-Effect-161665195.html
And there are still some people in Baltimore that don't have power.
3 hours. You're another one that needs to shut it up LOLOL
105° was the high according to a news article on my local NBC site...and the humidity is so bad it takes your breath away.
We were in the casino all day...my brothers treat (I have the BEST brother) so we didn't feel it much. When we left the line for the elevators was too long for me so I walked up 5 flights of stairs to get to my truck...I thought I was seriously going to pass out by the 3rd floor. They were outside stairs because of being in the parking garage and the air was just as thick as it could be.
Awww. When Fancy passed Buddy was lost for months. And to be honest...I think he blamed ME for it because he didn't want anything to do with me for the longest time. Sassy didn't seem to notice...we had only had her 6 or 7 months when Fancy passed.
We got nothing but heat. I haven't been home to see the news but it was 102° when we left this afternoon.
WOW KC those are great!!! One of my ancestors manned the Blackistone Lighthouse on Saint Clement’s Island Maryland.
The actual temp got up to 105° today. It's unGodly out there.
KC posted it on facebook and I ALMOST click it but when I read some of the other comments I just couldn't do it.
ROFLMAO! I want a tee shirt that says I survived the Derecho!
They have a news headline on my local news website that says something like 'Interview with Derecho surviver @11'
They're going to milk it for all it's worth!
LOL! That's always the way isn't it?
Are you kidding? The tree isn't going anywhere. I've had one hanging precariously since 2 days BEFORE the storm. I can't reach it to get it down...and I was hoping the storm would knock it down but it didn't. I can cut it up and take it to the curb...but getting it completely off the tree is the problem.
Beautiful little finch. Claudia has those hanging on her feeder all the time.
Got a sweater...looks like you might need one as evening wear LOL
No one could possibly get used to this heat. UGH!
Damn silly men...always whining about something LOLOL!
From what I've been told and what I understand is when a company goes through BK and comes out on the other side...the original shares are canceled and new ones are issued. Meaning the original shares are null and void. Our shares will just vanish into thin air.
So before you all start bashing me call your brokers and ask for yourselves or do a little DD. People should ALWAYS call their brokers for more info and never ever EVER trust anything anyone on a message board says...including but not limited to ME!
Very nice pics
Oh quit your bitchin'...we've had NINE in a row and before it's over it will be ELEVEN days in a row of 95° or HOTTER. Hottest summer EVER RECORDED in DC they're saying.
So hush it up bub!
LOLOL!
LOL!
"As to the trading issue, according to the POR, old shares will be canceled and replaced with shares in the "Newco"
And us old shareholders are canceled just like that. Wow.
Cool.
LOL Grab some extra socks to keep your tootsies warm!
I agree.
Thanks PAL! LOL The gas man came and checked everything out around the gas meter and the ground around it...he even put some holes in the ground and put that little clicky stick thing in them...no gas. Then we both got a GOOD whiff of it and agreed there's a dead something in my neighbors yard. She's out of town but her room mate is here...not that his lazy ass will do anything about it...but I'll tell him when I see him this evening.
At least I feel better knowing what it ISN'T!
Laundry isn't bad. Except when I put the good smelling stuff in the washer and then forget to put detergent in too. I've done that twice already today.
True. Here tomorrow is supposed to be between 101° and 105° with the index at 110° or more. I'm NOT looking forward to it. I don't even think I'm going to go to the pool.
I took the kids to the pool yesterday and it was so hot that we couldn't really be OUT of the water because it was miserable.
Now THAT is a story I could read over and over!! Aweosme news Gman!
I can't read it. It'll be too sad.
Nice shots!
It's 97 here right now. The humidity isn't so bad so in the shade it's tolerable. If you don't move LOL
Nice!!! Blue Jays are MEAN!
I was testing my invisibility cloak.
So this is a good thing....

Attempting connection to your computer. . .
Shields UP! is now attempting to contact the Hidden Internet Server within your PC. It is likely that no one has told you that your own personal computer may now be functioning as an Internet Server with neither your knowledge nor your permission. And that it may be serving up all or many of your personal files for reading, writing, modification and even deletion by anyone, anywhere, on the Internet!
Your Internet port 139 does not appear to exist!
One or more ports on this system are operating in FULL STEALTH MODE! Standard Internet behavior requires port connection attempts to be answered with a success or refusal response. Therefore, only an attempt to connect to a nonexistent computer results in no response of either kind. But YOUR computer has DELIBERATELY CHOSEN NOT TO RESPOND (that's very cool!) which represents advanced computer and port stealthing capabilities. A machine configured in this fashion is well hardened to Internet NetBIOS attack and intrusion.
Unable to connect with NetBIOS to your computer.
All attempts to get any information from your computer have FAILED. (This is very uncommon for a Windows networking-based PC.) Relative to vulnerabilities from Windows networking, this computer appears to be VERY SECURE since it is NOT exposing ANY of its internal NetBIOS networking protocol over the Internet.
I agree...they made that shit up last week. Our weather guy said we may never see another one in this area in our lifetime.
There are still thousands of people without power in the DC area...it's crazy.
And I'm waiting for the gas man to get here because I got home from some errands and was watering the garden and kept smelling gas...I finally narrowed it down to right around where our gas meter is so I called them to come check it out. Better safe than sorry and with this heat who knows what gasket could be cracked or leaking or what?? I don't smell anything IN the house so I think we're ok...if they tell us to leave me and the dogs will go swimming at my cousins...it's not like they're not used to being dragged around in the car now LOL
Have a nice weekend everyone...I'm going to go clean this house up a bit while I wait.
Here's ours....doesn't Saturday look like fun? UGH!

We just saw them in Baltimore a couple weeks ago. When I was a kid we used to go Andrews to the air show all the time...but it was the Thunderbirds most years.
