I hope you forgot to put a wink, wink or LOL at the end of your post. According to your posts elsewhere you own 380 thousand shares of PPHM. You must have increased your holdings in the last month. carpe diem
"There are many sides to reality. Choose the one that's best for you." Eugene Ionesco. This is becoming my view of PPHM MB during the sultry days of summer. Life is short, some on here should try to enjoy the ride a little more. IMHO
I'm surprised at your one post limit on PPHM MB. I would expect exhuberance of investors of ANY company but I am somewhat surprised at the amount of supposition and fancy. I guess I missed reading some original posts about Roche family buying up shares of PPHM and holding them offshore. Check my initial reply of von Trapp Family singers joke, etc. I hope PPHM has a "Golden Goose" situation for patients sake(I own only 3800 shares). Buyout, offshore holdings, $200/share seems a little over the top. MY opinion only but I would like Peregrine to announce start of enrollment for Phase III. I believe that happens 3-4 mos. and that's when news (besides all lawsuits news) will happen. Good luck all...I hope bigdumbandugly gets posts back. Life is short. carpe diem
I would never call you clueless. You provide valuable info, you ask pertinent questions, agree when needed and disagree when needed. Everyone on PPHM MB provides something...just exactly what is the $64,000 question. GL and keep swinging. carpe diem
That's one close-knit cul-de-sac...lol. I see without official PPHM PRs we're off to the races with specualtion. carpe diem
My bad, trying to do 7 things at once. I should try doing 1 thing at a time! lol Sucks getting old. Thanks
Thanks for the update. Just my opinion, but when attorneys and insurance companies are involved they usually will keep filing until one side cracks. Most people who have filed an insurance claim can attest to the generally arduous task of collecting. Why would CSM want to pay out $$ without a fight? IMO,their rates go up, they may lose accreditation(?) from FDA, they could find themselves out of business. Insurance companies suck, I have first hand knowledge of protracted claim fights. I hope I'm wrong and they settle, maybe with CSM admitting no wrong doing schtick, and move on. As long as PPHM does not engage in a war of words I think it will be resolved with NO recognizable negative impact, and some $$ in the bank. If they start slinging mud, all bets are off.All IMHO! carpe diem
It appears that more and more BP are accused or have admitted to illegal, immoral or unethical practices to achieve their goals . The question I have is would PPHM want to partner with (XX)BP knowing that they have been accused or fined or whatever. Seriously, a lot of the names being mentioned negatively are the same names posters are throwing around as potential partners, I believe. If we are above board in our moral and ethical beliefs those names should be crossed off the list regardless...yes/no? I'm just throwing the question out there.
That is all very true, IMO. My point was that once lawyers bare their teeth it's a crap shoot. If CSM were to settle would they lose their accreditation with FDA? Would they still be a legitimate test facility for any other purpose? I don't know the answers but sometimes when an entity wants to continue to make money for as long as possible they MAY decide the long way around may be suitable. All IMO only. p.s. Some on this board seem to think NO partner without settlement...some think it doesn't matter. Time will tell. Everyone hates lawyers...until they need one. LOL
That may be a required response from attorneys representing CSM but it does APPEAR they are willing to fight this out. I may be comparing apples to oranges but I initiated a malpractice suit after suffering serious injuries in the OR prior to surgery. My surgeon, who was not responsible, even was willing to testify in court against one of his own OR team. It took 5 1/2 years for the settlement, which I won. The hospital closed ranks, sent the issue off to Risk Management and the 'game' was on.I was under anesthesia and the lawyers attempted to blame me. I assume this does NOT play out anywhere near that. Without a change of heart, possibly to lower potential payout, this might be a lawyers dream. GL all. carpe diem
Although your post is a reminder of the good about PPHM I do have a concern about your dismissal of Dios, China, etc. as "...What is done is done." If investor confidence was bolstered by the PR's of those situations and share price increased due to the potential of international collaborations then it would be less than wise to summarily dismiss those 'ghosts' as basically water under the bridge. Those moves did not work out, that's bio life, but I don't believe we should forget the good and bad. IMHO Life is short. carpe diem
I stand corrected. However, the peregrineinc.com profile page still has 172 FULL-TIME employees as their official employment numbers. So an increase of 15 employees as of April 30th. How many more are there on payroll? The recently posted positions available were not minimum wage. I have e-mailed IR re; employee numbers but I do not believe an answer is forthcoming. If I get a response I will forward to board. carpe diem
PPHM over the last several months has posted numerous job positions. Many of them became filled/removed. Did I miss a discussion on all of the postings? If I did please forgive this question. This is a serious question by me. Partnering talks aside, if you hire a person or people you have to pay them. I do not remember seeing salaries for positions posted. I still see 172 full-time employees. I'm not unhappy about hiring but no one seems to know if it's attrition or addition or both. Any knowledge/guesses would be appreciated. Life is short. Golf is calling today..NO RAIN! TIA carpe diem
I had to leave for awhile. Did I miss EOP2 meeting minutes update...TIA
Maybe research is being done at Area 51. Secure facility, potentially endless stream of test subjects(?) and cross-departmental look-ins...DOD, NSA, CIA, NIH, etc., etc. Just MY way of killing time until CC. Good luck all. carpe diem.
I wasn't giving you grief, thus the "lol". It just happened to strike me funny. No harm, no foul.
I like your idea of selling 105% of PPHM! lol
I know what I own in every security I purchase. I like the potential for PPHM going forward or I would have sold. That being said, If one has to "read between the lines" in an official PPHM PR does that not continue to perpetuate the cloak and dagger scenarios already played out with PPHM? I'm asking this as a serious question. An official PR is to state conditions and events that affect the company as well as shareholders IMO. I don't need to have to decipher cryptic messages from PPHM. Transparency from them is key and critical, IMO. I like the stock, I own 3800 shares and I like to be informed with as much info that can be available without compromise to company policy. Have a great weekend all. I know I will carpe diem
If you visit russell.com there is a Reconstitution Additions/Deletions section. It gives an entire list of companies e.g. Acadia(ACAD) has traded 5.2 million shares after hours and is up 9 cents to $18.24 pps. Check symbols against nasdaq.com after hours trades for those securities and I think you'll find most are trading this way. JMO.Have a great weekend. Fill it up and drink up life. carpe diem
Anyone else think NO trades @ 8:45 a.m. is strange?
The PR certainly lacked some totality in regards to treatment/control arms data which just encourages speculation and supposition. ATM selling was large IMO,compared to their previous impession they would try not to use it(my impression). At least they reported on time...lol. I believe CC in July will need to be a forthright disclosure of pressing questions. They have money from ATM but I don't think that's a portent to partnership. Give up the data and let's move on. Small bios are alike in many ways. We'll see if PPHM responds with the answers that investors are seeking. Life is short IMO so fill your cup and drink up. carpe diem
At least they reported 'something' by the end of 1H 2013. A few posters were adamant that was NOT going to happen. ATM selling expected but quite a few too many for this quarter, IMO. Sell, buy or hold, PPHM is now in another phase of wait and see. Enrollment, trials, etc., we all know the drill. I have 3800 @$1.40. I'm holding because I can and I want to. It's not my only bio stock by a long shot and for good reason. Good potential with marginal management IMHO. Going golfing...smell the roses ladies and gents...please. carpe diem
Good morning, hope all had a great weekend. We SHOULD hear something this week, per mgnt., so patience only needs 5 days IMO. Gull, I hear ya(who can't...LOL) but yelling rarely works but whatever floats your boat. Life is short IMO and of course, carpe diem
I think a question could be asked if current positions are add-ons or replacements or consolidations possibly of other positions? I believe some poster(excuse me if I'm incorrect) e-mailed IR with similar question. If such an e-mail was sent did we get a response? I just checked and website states 172 employees. IMO, we will get an update on employee number at quarterly update. I would be happy to e-mail IR but do not want to ask redundant question if previously asked. Golf all weekend with brothers... Hopefully next week, 1H 2013, answers will come. Good weekend to all. All IMHO carpe diem
How many cups of coffee this morning? lol I'm going with announcement 1H 2013 as previously stated. That is my only prediction and certainly only my opinion. GL and carpe diem
Oh, ok then. Thank you for pointing that out in a fairly abravise, condescending manner. Without that reference by you, IMO, I would have perceived this to be the NEJM board. Have a nice day, if possible.
I have to admit I agree with you on the posters that present scenarios of partnering, et al as a declaration of knowledge, not assumption or personal belief. It may seem redundant to some to post IMO or "My personal interpretation" or whatever but it is at least fair disclosure. Same goes for anti-PPHM posters who use lack of info as doom and gloom. PPHM has its pros and cons like ANY company, big or small, IMHO! News will come when it's ready or when mandated by corporate rules. I'm banking my shares on good news but that's just my opinion. carpe diem
Same to you MazelMan...the weekend is here again and I sincerely hope that ALL posters/viewers on this MB have a safe, enjoyable weekend. All posts and no play makes Jack/Jill a dull poster...lol. We are ALL just one doctor's visit, test result or simple decision away from life-changing scenarios. I wish you Peace and All Good. carpe diem....I'm sure this post will be deleted so I'll add GO PPHM!
Just to stop my head from spinning off, post 127138 has a link to PJ and ratings. Scroll DOWN all the way to PJ's 3/5/2013 rating is overweight and $2.50 price target(12 mos.) It's a VG rating but it is also the same for 3/13, 4/10, and 5/20/2013. Same overweight rating/same price target. NO upgrade/No change in price target. Rating is great, price target sucks...IMHO. You guys sure argue a lot. Try to have some fun, if you like having fun. carpe diem
Hope all have a great weekend. Safe and filled with whatever makes you happy. Personally, I'm spending the first half with my wife who lucky for me , is also my best friend. Second half(weather permitting) GOLF with the boys. No wild thoughts of failed this, or buyout that. Life is short IMO, carpe diem.
Thanks to all for the welcome. I know some science, I know some about cancer(survivor) and I know just enough about other stuff to get me in, and out, of trouble.LOL Phase III approval was critical for me to stay the course with PPHM> Tough hurdle was crossed off list. I'll try to NOT get in anyone's hair except when wild accusations fly (both sides of the coin). Take care all. Life is a cocophony of flavors and we usually taste them all. carpe diem
Thank you, chenzo. Interesting reading lately here. As with most bio stocks a lot of land mines but certainly high reward potential. As a rookie poster here I will peruse more than post until something strikes my fancy. GL and carpe diem
