You would think someone should have locked it down by now. Will look around the amazing web we call the internet again. I know it was found around the end of 2009. I'm gonna do some looking. Meet you back here. lol
GO KBLB.
LMAO.
Isn't this board supposed to be serious?
GO KBLB.
Have I mentioned how much I love Sigma Aldrich's website.
Their design team does an excellent job at making all their equipment and lab solutions exciting. They are constantly updating the ads and graphics.
Kim should take a note from them.

They have also created a new award:
Aldrich Materials Science Endows New Materials Research Society Mid-Career Researcher Award
The Endowment Recognizes Outstanding Work and Focuses on Continual Innovation and Leadership in Materials Science
ST. LOUIS, May 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Building on its commitment to advance technology through materials science, Aldrich® Materials Science, a strategic growth initiative of Sigma-Aldrich Corporation (NASDAQ: SIAL), announced the establishment of a permanent endowment through the Materials Research Society (MRS) to support the new Mid-Career Researcher Award. Intended to honor individuals who have made outstanding mid-career advances in the scientific materials industry, nominations for the inaugural award will be accepted through October 1, 2011. The annual award presentation will take place at the MRS Spring Meeting, beginning with the MRS Spring Meeting in San Francisco, April 9 -13, 2012. For more information about MRS events and awards, visit www.mrs.org.
I think Kim Thompson is too young for this award though.
I've been kind of dismissing the idea of Sigma getting invloved more then just the Zinc Finger licensing, but the more I think about it (and the more Zinc posts) I don't see it as that crazy. Sigma has a ton, TON of cash on hand and is always aquiring. Why wouldn't they start a new venture? They have a front row seat to this and (through licensing) have a role in the company already, why not dive in? Why wouldn't they take a stab at creating a new arm of business. Advanced Textiles could be Sigma's new venture. This could already have been in the works for all we know. Who knows though, just thinking out loud. Maybe Sigma said, hey if the zinc finger/spider thing works out we'd like to partner up. I mean if you sold an ingredient to someone and asked , so what are you going to make? And they said THE HOLY GRAIL OF MATERIALS. Would you just say..oh...okay...here's that ingredient...good luck with that. Or would you keep your foot in the door with the hopes of getting all the way in?
Let's say Simga did put in an offer when we negotiated the licenses, then Kim could possibly shop around for better ones.
The best deal, not the first deal, Right?
GO KBLB.
Anything is possible at this point and that's the great thing about this stock. .13 cents of downside and possibly .87 cents upside. I think I can handle that risk. FTR, my downside is even lower.
That's so funny, I was going to reply using the word split personality too. Previewed and revised, then I was going to say it seemed like more then one person was using his login and posting, then revised again. Cancelled the post all together. Now I read yours, so now I have to paste and share what I had left of my self-cancelled post;
If number guessers actually had any idea why they pick whatever number they type they would explain it, but since it's just a guess that's all that is posted. Just like your post eddie:

Awesome! So counting today people have 12 days to figure out if they want in or not before the CC. There for sure will be a push (even if it's just a bit) on SP as we move toward that date. Any information Kim can give to shed light on what's going on with the commercialization of Gen 1 is crucial. It'll be fun to watch the SP this and next week. And if Kim releases any hard details as to a source of income from Gen1, Watch Out!
GO KBLB.
Please guys try to follow TOU. Posts should focus on KBLB and KBLB only, the intelligence of other posters is not the topic here. Ideas can and should be challenged, but in a cordial manner.
Please use the ignore feature or just do not reply.
Thankyou.
Sir Reginald....
I strongly disagree!
I agree about the University doing the work. It's a great biotech business model to save on costs by having a University do the work as research and education instead of KBLB paying for it and having even more developement costs on the books. But hey, if they do have to get a lab, as RV has stated it's relatively cheap to lease and as I put out before we can use Sigma Aldrich to outfit it for a good price. Not because the ZincFingers involvement but just because on it's own merit SIAL is a great lab outfitter.
Check out an old post I put up #20188.
Then there's the staff issue. I have no idea on what that would cost.
GO KBLB.
Keep it cheap or get some money coming in.
I had it stickied since around April 27th. Took it down last week, figured we would have something more detailed to replace it with by now. The board also had debated the topic for quite some time (it did say tentative, although that seemed to "mislead" people). Even I gave spec. on when we'd get info, but I know what tentative means. Since we'll get an update soon on the CC (one with a date/details), I'll (or another mod) will put that up when it comes out. Maybe I'll put the article in the IBox. Been updating that. Added some pics, moved the layout around (just a bit). Manshoon did a great job with it. I was just polishing it up.
GO KBLB.
KBLB's site may be down but at least people can check out the Ibox here at IHub.
Go KBLB.
Good to see ya manshoon1.
GO KBLB.
Well we know it's not really a one man show.
We have Kim Thompson, Malcom Fraser, All the lab techs from Notre Dame, Board of Advisors(Scientific and Business-See IBOX ABOVE), and Ben. What else do you need? You have a CEO/Lawyer/Scientist, Notre Dame Lead Scientist/piggy bac patent holder ,Lab techs/workers, Business/Science Advisors and a PR guy. Sounds like a lean business to me. If your really worried about the one man show thing I don't see why.
So it's not really a one man show, it just is on paper.
GO KBLB.
JMO.
Thx for the reply. Revised my prev. post.
Hope we get news soon. I think we are all counting on this week for some notice. The CC should be packed full of info.
How the ZF process is doing, Gen 1 positioning, what did he mean exactly by lab evolution, are we making any profitable deals to help with financing current research, thoughts on share structure, what's up with the website, etc. So much to talk about.
Go KBLB.
A busy busy 1 man show.
Revised- Nevermind, finally got it. No change in status yet.
My PC has been acting real buggy lately. The other day my keyboard was disabled, right in the middle of posting something. Checked everything (I have a wireless keyboard) somehow it was totally wiped from my computer. I re-installed the software (I have the disc that came with it) and it still didn't work. Took a half a day of reloading and pluggin in and out to get it back. Checked batteries, connections everything. I am tech savy. The weird thing was that the software trouble shoot screen just didnt see anything plugged in, nor did hardware devices read it. Then it all of a sudden worked. No explanation, it's never done that before. Even if it bugged out the software shouldn't have dissapeared and the troubleshoot screen shouldn't have a blank spot where it usually says the type of keyboard. Used Norton and it found 5 registry errors , but still keyboard didn't come back till quite some time later.
All I can say is keep your antiviruses up to date all. Run continuous scans. I would say if anyone is desperate enough to sabotage KBLB's site they might not want Ihubbers keeping the info going too.
Then again, I just might need a new keyboard.
Let's get some news!
GO KBLB.
Totally agree with you.
GO KBLB.
I love conspiracy theories....
Am I the only one thinking that it's not some random accident that KBLB's website has a persistant malicious virus on it? Which is why were seeing (when it's kind of working) the outdated version of the site (as taco pointed out in prev. posts).
I think we have people trying everything they can to disuade people from giving KBLB any credibility. Let's say you just received a bunch of emailers saying KBLB stock is going to crash...yadda yadda..yadda. or a blog or link that says the same(which I've seen a couple out there) then you think hmmmm let me go to the company's web site and check it out for myself. Oh... I can't, seems they have some bad virus on it...can't trust them.....maybe I should sell (or not buy).
GO KBLB.
Hope you track that virus and find out who bugged ya.
I would not take it lightly.
Right on. Good to know and good to have a fellow AmTrader on the board.
I don't think I want a looser broker. lol
I've been considering getting one (margin account) but haven't yet. Hey have you also filed for IPO purchases through ATrade? Yet another thing I've been wanting to do (even more than the margin account). If you have, did it take long?
Thanks.
GO KBLB.
Hey mike, I didn't find it on Ameritrade.
I just posted an example I found. After doing a quick look I revised the post at the bottom and said I don't see it probably because I don't short stocks. You have to apply for a margin account through Atrade to allow you to short stocks. I believe if you do that then your trade ticket window would show the info just like the example from Schwabs site. Again though I don't have a margin account/ability to short so I'll have to rely on other posters who have access to it to hopefully share if it's pertinent.
Hope your days going well.
GO KBLB.
Maybe I'll replace the sticky then, I put more weight on it then I should have maybe. But still if wild worms take out just a segment of the silkworm market prices would adjust accordingly. Then there are the factors of how expensive the demineralazation process is or what biproducts(waste) come from the process vs the cost it would save. Although the sheer numbers of raising silkworms in a wild system though could be staggering and profitable.
Lots of factors. Something to think about though.
GO KBLB.
Thats the post of the day right there. LOL
GO KBLB.
New Method for Silk Production:
Fritz Vollrath and Tom Gheysens, University of Oxford, UK, and colleagues found that the surfaces of wild cocoons were coated with a mineral layer and that removing this layer made it easy to unreel the cocoons into long continuous strands with commercial reeling equipment.
Source:http://www.chemistryviews.org/details/news/1067011/New_Method_for_Silk_Production.html
Another source:http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/bm2003362
-So I've seen this article a couple times on different sites.
I was wondering how it applies to KBLB. I figured it makes no big difference in what KBLB is doing. But then it hit me. Silk is at it's price point because you have to coddle(so to speak) the domesticated mulberry silkworm.
Excerpt from article:
This method, which clearly differs from the standard “degumming” and should be referred to as “demineralizing”, could expand the silk industry to new areas of the world where wild silkworms thrive like Africa and South America.
-So now more places can get in on the silk trade using this method, creating more competition and supply which would drop the price of REGULAR silk considerably.
Now what will companies do (or need) to be able to keep there margins with regard to how they run they're business? How can they keep up if what they are making is not worth as much?
Who can help?
Enter an upgraded version of the Bombyx mori (Mulberry silkworm) or GEN 1 KBLB SPILK.
With this discovery there is an even bigger reason to want to update or replace the current silkworm in the BILLION dollar industry that is SILK.
I'm loving this, every little bit.
THIS IN MY OPINION IS HUGE, CHANGES THE ENTIRE SILK MARKET!
THIS MAKES WHAT KBLB IS DOING EVEN MORE RELEVANT, ESSENTIAL AND VALUABLE. NOT JUST THE FUTURE MEDICAL APPS AND KEVLAR STUFF, BUT JUST THE GEN 1 STUFF.
THE SILK INDUSTRY IS CHANGING AND KBLB HAS THE TIMING JUST RIGHT.
GO KBLB.
Welcome oneidjack. As far as the most posts, I don't think we make the top 10 on ihub on regular basis but I appeciate your compliments to the board here.
That question has been brought up before (I think mojo actually brought that up, not sure though). No one really responded (again if I recall correctly, not sure), I think due to the morbid sense of the subject. It is a valid concern though. I can't answer that myself. Not sure if Kim will's his shares to someone, or that Fraser might step in to oversee what goes on. I beleive they dreamed up KBLB up together even though it's just Kims name on the paper. I don't have enough experience to say for sure, I can only speculate.
GO KBLB!
Long live Kim Thompson!... Really, I mean that.
Revised to save posts-
Oh yeah, compliments to you for seeing my post for what it was. lol
So if (again on the HTB subject) HTB is popping up with only around 371,470(amount form from Finra.org) shares shorted and before we had shorts in the millions, this means the short game is getting squeezed. So if usually anyone is concerned about an HTB notice causing a downward push, just as reasonable I relate that the dwindleling ability to call upon short shares entertains the idea of a bullish sentiment in the overall and longer term stability of KBLB, thus hindering an extreme pullback and opposing any bearish sentiment. Right? I'm just thinking out loud here and haven't been in the game that long so please have some forgiveness if what I'm saying is totally sensless.

GO KBLB.
Just havin some fun.
On the hard to borrow topic. We've had big short positions against the stock before, right? Is this number larger than the last HTB signal or around the same, can anybody that has that feature remember or double check? Is it that there are more shares locked up and that there are less shares available to short? (It's been said before to not leave open sell orders to decrease short availability)
And as it is, if they short a ton at .135 or .1385 BIG Freakin Deal they get a couple points. WOW. If they try to push it down we should hold around .09-.10
KBLB has held at around .10 for 9 months now! This stock was worth .01 for how many years. We are still 10x the value so this stock has been a pump and stay (if you want to use the word pump at all). There is too much buying pressure around and under .10 it will just help noobs and longs load up at a decent level creating a even stronger consolidation point yet again. And not just noobs will load in at .10. There are a lot more people looking at this then we know.
JMO.
Any tool is usefull, wish I had that. Does anyone know if Ameritrade does that too? I'm looking as I type.
Revised- to save post: found the HTB info. Thanks for bringing it up.
Found an example, neat. I don't short sell, that's prob why I never see this.
I hope the infiltrators are getting all this. lol

Pretty neat huh. Saw that Tues. in a National Geographic article:
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2011/05/110516-spiders-tarantulas-webs-spider-man-science-animals
It's amazing that even with such a popular creature they still hadn't known this till recently. You would think someone would have found out or discovered it sooner.
On a seperate note.
Hey Zinc, you said you came in here because of SIAL right?
Do you have any access to information regarding Sigma's presentation/speech at the 32nd Annual Growth Stock Conference that Baird hosted? Are you registered with SIAL on there site as a shareholder, like for conference calls, PR news, PDF's, etc.?
Would love access to either of these to see if they mentioned their latest licensing agreement with KBLB at any of these events.
My thoughts are if SIAL mentioned KBLB at either of these conferences there might be a lot more eyes/ears/pocket books ready for the conference call. And it so happens that one of Bairds Senior Analyst/Director of Research is a Notre Dame Alumni, so he might like the fact KBLB has done the bulk of it's research there. Just going way out on a limb here.
Sigma-Aldrich Corporation (SIAL) to Present at Upcoming Investor Conferences:
•Deutsche Bank 26th Annual Health Care Conference on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the Intercontinental Boston, Boston, MA, presenting at 10:00 AM (ET).
•Baird's 2011 Growth Stock Conference on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Four Seasons Hotel, Chicago, IL presenting at 11:15 AM (CT).
Some info on Baird conference:
Baird, an employee-owned international capital markets, private equity, wealth and asset management firm, will host its 32nd annual Growth Stock Conference in Chicago May 10-11. The conference will bring together institutional and private equity investor attendees to hear presentations from company executives representing a range of sectors including: Business Services, Communications, Consumer/Retail, Distribution, Education, Financial Institutions, Health Care/Life Sciences, Specialty Pharmaceuticals, Technology and Transportation/Logistics.
Some info on Baird itself:
Baird’s Research Department consists of approximately 110 research professionals covering more than 600 U.S. companies. Baird analysts have been recognized repeatedly in The Wall Street Journal’s annual “Best on the Street” survey and honored by StarMine as top analysts.
Baird is an employee-owned, international wealth management, capital markets, private equity and asset management firm with offices in the United States, Europe and Asia. Established in 1919, Baird has more than 2,600 associates serving the needs of individual, corporate, institutional and municipal clients. Baird oversees and manages client assets of nearly $82 billion. Committed to being a great place to work, Baird ranked number 14 on FORTUNE’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” in 2011 – its eighth consecutive year on the list. Baird’s principal operating subsidiaries are Robert W. Baird & Co. in the United States and Robert W. Baird Group Ltd. in Europe. Baird also has an operating subsidiary in Asia supporting Baird’s private equity operations. For more information, please visit Baird’s Web site at

Now here is an interesting part:
David Tarantino is Baird’s senior analyst covering Restaurants as well as the Associate Director of Research. Prior to joining Baird in 2003, he held a variety of positions in Brand Management and Product Development at The Procter & Gamble Company. David received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business
Sorry for the long post.
Go KBLB.
Yeah RV's just joking... or is he?
Not Zinc too!...
Cue the Dramatic music:
This is the power of the internet right here.
SO...We have hotstocked.com's Sherinkova (not bothering to get her name right,) quoting Ihubs sentiment in a recent article/review of KBLB. I actually posted about her once in my early posts with this board and titled the post, Czech this out (thought it was pretty clever). And now we have Sykes (how sad is this) almost whining about a poster on IHUB in one of his promotion stock pieces.
So maybe we can suppose why this is.
Is it that stock promoters are following us?
Is it that stock promoters have infiltrated us? (lol.just sad)
Is it that shorters are upset at the DD done here and the chink it puts in their negative propaganda armor (so to speak).
Is it that (what started out)a small board has grown and has exposure enough to pop up in almost every search engine when looking up KBLB?
And it isn't so much as that we here promote KBLB, as it is we just compile and post the facts about KBLB (good or bad). It sells itself, you see the figures, you can stay away if you want because they arent making any money (there not hiding that aspect and no one here is hiding that info) or you can see the potential and the progress that KBLB is making and decide if you want in on it or not. I really think that when promoters bash the company in hopes of shorting and send those emails out they are mad because then people do a KBLB search and end up here. So even the negative promoters end up bringing in "longs" or at least because of this board shorting might be second guessed.
All this is just my far fetched opinion.
GO KBLB
Go IHUB KBLB Board.
Great bunch of people here (mostly).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMMY!!
Back from lunch.
In reply to Zenaku:
I stand corrected. My intial searches led to evil.
I figured you were either a Power Ranger fan (which also came up) but noticed Evil came up many times with definition websites.
A better search lead to this here:
Zen-Aku
zen table (small), tray, meal
zen Zen (Buddhism)
zen all (pref), whole, entire, all, complete, overall
zen before, ago (suf), former (pref), previous
zen good, goodness, right, virtue
aku to be open
aku lye, harsh taste
aku puckery juice
aku evil, wickedness
aku to become empty, to be less crowded
Either way you have to understand the heat from the board here with a somewhat controversial article.
Interesting post none the less.
It's hard but unless it's positive ,other posters are not the topic of this board. And I'm throwing the positive in there myself. And definitely no Profanity. Silk I have to delete a prev. post of yours (unless someone has deleted it as I'm typing this).
Go KBLB.
It's like a soapopera in here today. lol
BTW Zenaku means Evil. And your extremely new here and only have 4 posts total and created your account recently in March....
It's a first for me. I have no idea what to make of it. Even if silkmaster is what or who Sykes says he is, I don't care. I do what I want in regards to KBLB or any other stock for that matter. I (mainly) post real info here (with sources) though I do love the banter that goes on (part of the fun here I believe). Opinions are opinions and if you think about it, anyone who has stock and who tries to encourage others via these boards to buy or sell can be considered a paid promoter because at any point they can buy or sell shares themselves in parallel and make money doing it.
.
Interesting find. Any info that helps clear the air around an investment is good in my book. Will continue to poke around.
What's Sykes Ihub name, Anyone know?
Go KBLB.
Morning all.
Taco I think your correct. Although, while KBLB is fixing the website maybe they could update it with more recent info.
GO KBLB.
I could be wrong and just throwing this out there, but
I think Kim might be in the middle of updating the KBLB website.
The "In The News" page has changed a bit. It used to have some of the most recent news info in there, like the advisory board addition. I'm guessing he's working on a Page2 of "In The News" because he's running out of room. Always a good thing if a company is running out of page space because of too many positive progress announcements with the company. Maybe I'm just crazy and it's the same as it's been though.
GO KBLB.
That's a nice looking one.
I would also add that a company has to promote itself to say it gave the shareholders every possible chance of returning a valuable investment with regards to promoting SP. When pinks fizzle all sorts of suits can be filed saying the CEO did'nt try everything or show concern for shareholders with regards to the way it handled itself or promoted itself(or lack thereof). Just another base to cover and another way to raise capital.
Then there are those companies that only promote itself but have nothing really going on. No REAL PR's and just a bunch of email newsletters about BUY BUY BUY.
This company is not one of those.
I Would also, just as Taco mentioned, love to hear anyones honest & educated (done your dd) attack on the theory of responsible dilution as it applies to KBLB.
Go KBLB.
Thanks slojab.
We have an extremely antagonistic poster on our board KBLB.
He has been kicked once before, they are back and it seems to persist. What is the next choice of recourse here? Do I ask the board for a vote?
Agree 100%.
Happy Birthday!
GO KBLB.
Totally a possibility. I was thinking he was waiting on the trademarks Notice also. Zinc project is another big factor, also maybe he was waiting on the 10Q which just was filed. At least all the ducks are lining up. 10Q filed, NOA for all trademarks, Zinc's process underway. The CC could focus on what they've made just using the piggy bac though and what they're going to do with it (if anything). So many variables. I would at least think he was waiting to finish and file the 10q so a lot of financial Q's would be put aside or at least detailed questions could be asked about it. Do we have a source to know the exact date of when they received ZF from Sigma?

GO KBLB.
Tuesday (as we've seen before) has been the favored day to have news come out in regards to this company (for whatever reason or maybe it is just chance). Most recently it was the Sigma licensing deal that came out on Tuesday around 3am if I remember right. I couldnt sleep that night, turned on the PC and BAM News! And I counted out of 26 Pr's or so about half were on Tuesday.
Aside from the Tuesday theory we are running out of days in May, so just with that alone the odds are in our favor that details on the CC will come out soon. If no PR details about the CC come out this week, no big deal, I'm also waiting on seeing the NOA issued for MONSTER SILK which (fingers crossed and from the DD I've done on the marks)should be this week. Either way you look at it, info on progress on some level with KBLB is near. And if your scared about a quiet period, remember after the last "quiet" period it was the deal with Sigma that was unleashed(which was something no one predicted or new about). So if they're waiting to tell us something I'll use last times situation to interpret that many things are coming together (things we have no idea about, and things we're speculating about) and KBLB is lining it up just right in order to present it.
Go KBLB.
