What does AAPL need to do to maintain that lead? Three keys: Security, Stability, and Apps.
Yes, FAS is a tough trade these days. I'm not trading it.
I've been cautiously developing a model for trading TNA which is doing well in this environment. Quite a turn here in the last 60 min.
Also, trading URE.
Is the 30 min chart the best time frame for those 8 trades?
Does the "best time frame" remain constant from 1 September forward?
T-Mobile Galaxy Tab at $399 on contract, stacked up vs. iPad

I'll spring for the iPad. Superior, IMO.
Here's another game for addicts worldwide:
"Pigeon Squadron"
"I think partnering with the best of the semiconductor world spurs innovation and cooperation. Second, it could develop its own chips but use them as a competing option. In other words, put the A4 and others up against the silicon of Broadcom(BRCM), Intel (INTC), Qualcomm (QCOM), Nvidia (NVDA), etc. -- and let the best chip win."
I like that idea.
Yes, I agree, P/E is an important factor.
I also think they could reduce the "bubble factor" with a split.
Or a spin off?
Under what conditions does AAPL become a bubble?

Intraday.
Daily, if it grows.
SPY Down since the opening.
ISP was down for about 24 hours recently. Traded from a local library yesterday for a few hours. Looking forward to country wide, free Internet. Will it happen?
I agree.
Imagine Apple TV with Safari and an App Store.
I'm quite pleased with my $99 Apple TV.
I'd read on the net that if one's ISP goes down/connection lost you'll need to reenter all IDs, passwords, etc. for the ATV. Not so, our ISP was out here for about 24 hours; when it came back on, our ATV was fine, no input of our data needed.
Regarding the remote, I soon learned to use the Remote App from Apple I've installed on my iPod Touch. Much better than the one that came with the unit, IMO.
Netflix movies at 720P are quite good enough+. No complaints.
There are some good video podcasts available, too. Check out "iPad Today" and "This Week in Tech."
It will take a while to explore all that's available. But, nevertheless, I do look forward to additions to ATV down the road. . .
SPY: Intraday, Daily and Weekly trading models continue Up.

This is as good example of "buy the dip" as you're likely to find.
Next question: Will we see a higher low in the next pullback of SPY?
SPY stated its turn intraday about 1400 (NYT) yesterday.

Impressive.
Here's an area where Apple can get hurt. But I don't expect Apple to stand still. Let's see what Apple TV can do.
SPY: Down, 10AM, today (NYT).
Let's see if "buy the dip" operates in this traditionally scary month that ends with trick or treat.
The last five weeks of SPY remind me of the move SPY started in March 2009.
Will it continue?
Recall there was abundant bearish sentiment in those days too.
On a competitive CEO:

Funny they should ask. This should go out to all shareholders.

Apple TV: Up and running. . .kinda of a pain entering IDs and passwords, though. But it's pretty much a one time affair.
Lots of good stuff here, Netflix, music, photos, YouTube, etc. Beautiful HD wildlife photos screen saver is included.
How many will quickly loose the little remote controller? Apple will do well selling replacements.
;)
Check out "Super Mega Worm" in the Store. . .new fun game.
Action and humor. . .
Have you tried time frames larger than 60 min?
Google CEO: Smartphones will outsell PCs in two years

I don't doubt it. . .but what I find interesting is that these devices continue to be referred to as "phones" when they're actually hand held computers with a phone included.
But, hey, there are many views of these devices.
PCMag.com reviews Apple TV:

I prefer Apple's iPad.
I haven't seen the RIM PlayBook, apart from the web stories. It's made for enterprise populations, so typical consumers probably won't find it that interesting, limited Apps, etc. Time will tell.

We'll know more in a year as nature educates us.
Semi and small caps doing relatively well. S&P futures positive.
Consumer confidence data provides bad news and we see early evidence of buying the dip.
Let's see if it continues.
Steve Jobs' Innovation Secrets:
http://www.thestreet.com/_yahoo/video/10872015/steve-jobs-innovation-secrets.html?cm_ven=YAHOOV&cm_cat=FREE&cm_ite=NA&s=1
Who are the other innovators?
Does Jobs have an advantage in thinking outside the box because he didn't finish college, but rather dropped out?
. . .or is he just different from others because of his genes and environmental history?
He's one of a kind and a best fit for his place and time.
My Apple TV has shipped from SHENZHEN CN and is scheduled to arrive on 30 September.
It was ordered 1 September, AM.
SPY, Friday, closed above its 200 weekly MA.
Bullish.
Apple iPad: hands-on:
Using the Apple iPad is just as intuitive and magical as its advertising claims.
