Since POW owns the rights to virtually all that Stan has created since selling his past intellectual properties to Marvel, Disney could market many, many things with Stan's name attached to them if they purchased POW, lock, stocks, and barrel. Since Disney owns Marvel, they own all of Stan's legacy before he left Marvel. If they buy POW, they'll own everything he's developed since his exit from Marvel. That could eventually generate billions of dollars for Disney in the future.
I'd guess that Stan and company would sell POW to Disney for at least 1 dollar per share and possibly up to 3 dollars per share. That would be a tremendous bargain that Disney could make up with just one blockbuster film, using one of Stan's newer creations.
Stan isn't getting any younger and probably would like to see his POW properties in good hands when he passes on to the good Lord. Disney would fill the bill for that.
Right now, POW is at its lowest trading range since 2009, before Disney bought its 10% stake in POW on the first trading day of 2010. Though there were 20,000 more shares sold today than purchased, the last 5 trades were buys totaling over 85,000 shares! That bodes very well for tomorrow.
Like your post detailed Jack, POW has a host of big projects going, some of which they are receiving revenues from already. The Guardian Project will be funded by NBC to the tune of millions of dollars and POW is credited with creating all the NHL super star characters that will be strongly promoted by that TV network.
A movie deal with China will be announced later this year and other movie deals are on the burner too.
Anyone buying POW today under 20 cents is getting his shares almost for free. When these projects hit the fan in the not so distant future, POW will trade closer to a dollar as it did in April of 2010. The prospects for POW are much brighter now than they were then! How we're sitting at 11 to 13 cents today is unreal. All I can say is that this is the buying opportunity of the decade! I purchased another 30,000 shares last month at 14.5 cents. I'd buy a lot more now if I could. The smart money will soon discover our very oversold pinkie. Our finest hour is yet to come!
POW is now trading at a bid-ask of 11 to 13.3 cents. We traded as high as 30 cents 10 weeks ago and no bad news on the company has been released. I wonder who the heck has been selling the hell out of POW the past few days. The sell orders have swamped the buy orders more than 10 to 1 this week. I'd like to know if it's just a couple guys dumping all their POW holdings due to frustration with the stock or to buy a different one. Somebody's got to step up and buy some shares or we will be at a dime in no time.
I still think we'll see 20 cents or more in October with Stan attending the LA and the NY Comic Cons and making some announcements that are already scheduled. Maybe he'll surprise us with something we can't anticipate right now. POW is solvent and even making a little profit. No way it's going bankrupt and is still a huge buyout candidate for Disney to swallow.
Keep the faith, true believers! Anyone selling POW today will regret it tomorrow.
The bad news bears will soon run for cover in their caves where they belong! The October LA and NY Comic Cons will have us singing a happy song. 10 cents, my foot! Go ahead, make my day!
Maybe Disney will now pay about 30 cents a share for their next 10% bite of the POW apple. That's if they're still in a generous mood, of course. Come on, Stan. Let's make a deal with the Magic Kingdom! You'll be rich and we'll all be a lot less poor.
Disney should buy some POW shares and average down themselves! I hope they double up and help the stock price bubble up. We've had amazing volume the past few trading days. If only the buy volume was 3 to 1 over the sell volume, we'd have something to cheer about. We've got to get the sellers out of the way and that should happen any day. GO POW GO!!!
Here's another little article about Stan I can't remember seeing before. I hope Stan is feeling better. I see that he is still tweeting like a bird.

It's about time for a new message on the POW board. It's getting a little boring out here. Wake up, you investors you!

Maybe you will get your wish to buy POW again at a dime, Sunday. I doubt it will get that low but we're not far from that price right now. It's unbelievable that POW was 30 cents just 2 months ago and not half that price today despite no bad news.
POW is involved in many money making projects and even turned a profit in the last six months. The Guardian Project, that credits Stan with helping to create its mascot characters, will be funded with millions of dollars of NBC revenue. Another Super Humans TV season is being filmed and Stan has a hand in many ongoing enterprises. Disney could take another stake in POW at any time and Stan will be revealing some of his new work at several upcoming major comic cons.
Someone took my advice and jumped on a wheelbarrel full of 13 cent POW shares today in a big way, buying 111,000 shares in one foul swoop. Smart investor!
He or she will cash in bigtime before long.
Let's pray that POW starts climbing instead of falling in price pretty soon. We're really at the early 2010 stock price level, just before POW exploded to 87 cents. GLTA and take the low hanging fruit while you still can!
I hope it's just a common cold that's got Stan down. Or the 24 hour flu. He'll be back in the pink along with POW before you know it.
POW sure is trading in the doldrums these days. We're back to where we traded for a while after the Disney 10% buy-in that took place in early 2010. When we were trading around 11 to 12 cents then, after hitting 25 cents in early January, I made a comment on the board that you could really buy POW shares 2 for the price of 1. Soon after, we were off to the races and jumped to 87 cents a share in April. This happened with almost no positive news and only on speculation that a movie deal might be announced.
Today, we're back in the 12 to 13 cent range, after many, many positive developments have taken place in the past 2 years.
Once again, I feel I can safely say that you can buy POW shares at least as cheaply as 2 for the price of 1. Disney bought in at 21 cents and we traded at 30 cents just 2 months ago. No bad news has really been released so it's insane for POW to be trading anywhere near this low!
Mark my words! Buy POW shares at 13 cents right now and you'll at least double your money in no time flat! Maybe quadruple is more like it.
You might just miss out on the best buying opportunity of the year if you don't stock up on POW shares at this low price level, Dealer.
Come October, you won't be able to buy these shares under 20 cents. Mark my words and mark them well.
Where have all the posters gone? Long time passing, as Peter, Paul and Mary would say. And where are all the traders of POW shares? Beating their swords into plowshares? Not much action yet this month. There have only been two POW trades during the past two sessions. The bid-ask is now 13.1 to 13.5 which is the lowest since early 2010, after the 10% Disney buy-in at 21 cents went south. That low point only lasted a short time as I remember and POW began its march from 12 to 87 cents, peaking in April of 2010.
POW should be trading much higher than 13 cents with all the progress it has made since the last time it traded this low. It doesn't make any sense to me. What do others out there think, if anyone is still out there?
I'll be happy if Stan is just a super businessman and helps to make me rich. He's no crash dummy and neither is Arthur or Gill. They're working every day to make POW a successful enterprise. The rewards are closer than ever for those who stay in the game. With so many irons in the fire, sparks are gonna fly. That day should not be so far away.
Stan may be old but his brain is sharper than a ninja's dagger. He's not your typical geriatric, Sun City scrabble player. He seems to be having the time of his life pushing his POW projects and we'll eventually get our pots of gold on the other side of the rainbow. We'll just have to endure a little more rain with some sleet on the side. Saddle up now for one hell of a ride!
I have to admit that POW's share price hasn't exactly rocketed upwards after the last few major comic cons. That's very frustrating to me as well. We do need a major movie announcement, revenue from the Guardian Project, or another buy-in from Disney to move back up to a respectable pps. It is just crazy that we're trading at 13 cents per share when Disney even bought in at 21 cents last year! We're fully reporting and even slightly profitable. Stan will announce a movie deal later this year with a Chinese connection and the Guardian Project will be funded by millions of dollars from an NBC affiliated company. All if this and we're still at just 13 stinkie pinkie cents? It just doesn't add up to me.
Darth Vader and the Tomb Raider are on the prowl. They just want to buy POW for a dime and sell it for a dollar. Who can blame them? I'd take a buyout at 50 cents at this rate. We should have a high octane October with Stan starring at the LA and NY Comic Cons! Higher prices are just ahead IMO.
When that finally happens, I'll be making reservations for a big tenderloin steak dinner at a pricey restaurant I have in mind. I'm licking my chops right now just thinking about it! Come on Stan. Let us have it. Reward your true believers and make all achievers!
The boys at POW are indeed becoming more investor friendly. This was a nice little video to encourage more investment in this company. If only Disney would buy another 10% of POW! At the low price of the shares today, they'd really be getting a bargain. I look for that to happen before long.
I often get frustrated with how POW's been trading too, ShotMaker.
Last year I sold a third of my shares in the 70s and wish I'd sold them all back then, the way it turned out. Instead I just re-bought a lot of them on the way back down. I still believe we'll make the march back up, either gradually or all at once. POW has so much going for it now compared to previous years. Stan will appear at both the LA and the NY Comic Cons in November. Something good should happen for POW shareholders in the next couple months. I'd be very surprised if we sit down this low much longer. Keep the faith and pray for lightning to strike once again!
Wow, what a trading day this was! It does appear that someone must have dumped about 210,000 shares of POW in a very short period of time this afternoon. It's amazing that the price held at 14 cents. Maybe a market maker scooped them up, knowing he'd be cleaning house later this year. I was the only buyer today with the 4,197 shares I bought at 14.5 cents. Let's hope it wasn't one of the true believers who bailed out today. With my luck, had I been the one to sell all my POW holdings, the stock would jump to a buck on a buyout tomorrow! We're all praying for that to happen and I'm sure we'll get a good bounce out of the New York Comic Con in October.
Today's 224,267 share volume was a 10 1/2 month high not seen since POW closed at a bid ask of 27 to 30 cents last October 5th. Before that, it traded 383,000 shares on July 1, 2010 with a high that day of 30 and a low of just 10 cents! What a wild ride traders had back then!
The low today was 14 cents, and the only times for well over a year that POW has traded lower were on 4 days in June and once in May of this year.
We seem to be at a crossroads for POW. I believe the downside risk is very small and the upside potential is enormous! Time will tell the tale of the tape, but with any luck at all, we'll be in good shape.
I'll smoke to that, Marlboro Man, I mean Cowboy. I know one thing for sure. You're not just blowin smoke when you took that toke!
Thanks, Jack, for adding that great letter from Stan to POW's shareholders to the ibox. Anyone reading it will be encouraged to buy some shares in this company that's really on the go. Stan has more irons in the fire than Carter has liver pills! Owners of his stock will have their share of thrills! Like Jiminy Cricket, we'll all be singing a happy tune. And (here's that oft repeated word again) soon!
I picked up some cheepies today. I've always been a bottom fisher. Buy low, sell high. A winning formula you can't deny!
It's true that POW needs more projects in actual production before it goes primetime. POW's stock price went from about 7 cents to 26 cents on the 10% Disney stake announcement in early Jan. 2010. The stock trended up from the 40 cent to the 80 cent range from March to mid-April 2010 based on speculation on a movie deal announcement being made at an April comic con. When that didn't happen, the stock price has fallen to where it is today at 15 cents. Since then the company has become fully reporting and actually made a small profit the first half of this year.
Things may look a bit dismal now but the best days for POW are just around the corner. Just wait around awhile and you'll see!
Stan is Chairman Emeritus of Marvel right now. He works several days a week at Disney headquarters. POW has many projects in one form of development or another and has signed quite a few deals with various companies. Disney could make a fortune buying up POW for pocket change and putting Stan's name on future movies and other products they release that Stan helped to create.
POW is lights years ahead of where it was 16 months ago when the stock skyrocketed to 87 cents. We've just got to get investors to focus on POW again. That could certainly happen at the New York Comic Con in October in the media capital of the world! That's if Hurricane Irene doesn't blow that city away this weekend.
Or we could easily get news that Disney has acquired another 10% of POW or has tendered a buyout offer for the whole company. Something big is coming. We just don't know exactly when. At 15 cents, this stock is as good a buy as grandma's apple pie!
I never heard about this lawsuit until now. The article does clearly imply that Stan himself has filed the lawsuit. If this isn't so, he should immediately demand a retraction of the false information contained in this article. Stan should be furious about this. He should get as mad as the Incredible Hulk at his worst! Talk about yellow bellied journalism!
Stan's still the man in Baltimore! He's great at 88! So is my uncle by the way, but that's another story.

Here's a good laugh for you! Stan Lee has been kidnapped but is in good hands, but not with Allstate.

Great find, Muley! Here's another link to that article. I hope Stan makes a big splash at the Baltimore Comic Con!

I did make a big pitch for Stan to be interviewed by Howard but haven't heard back from them yet. I'm sure they'll seriously consider contacting Stan. That would be a real coup for the whole POW crew! Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed that it will come to be. We need POW on the radar from sea to shining sea!
Very nice indeed! The POW website is now enticing investors with its new emphasis on its latest and greatest projects that have been completed or are in development. Kudos to Stan and the Gang!
Right on, Niner! Stan always hams it up when he says POW! Purveyors of Wonderrrrrr! He should say that and add: By the way, it's a publicly traded company! That would boost our fortunes and not just Stan's fame.
I made my pitch to Howard Stern for Stan to appear on his radio show. They are likely to muley it over rather seriously, I believe.
That would be quite a breakthrough for us. We need to light a few flares to highlight our pinkie that wants to grow up to be blue chip off the old Stan Lee block!
What a touch of genius, Muley! If Stan could be a guest on the Stern Show, he could trumpet our cause to the high heavens. I'm sure Howard would be happy to interview him and those nerds could spread his words. I'll see if Howard's website allows for any suggestions. If so, I'll give him yours! Wish me luck.
I don't believe the last one on Romeo and Juliet was released in this form. News came out about it but this is a nicer advertisement concerning it being featured at the New York Comic Con in October. Stan's becoming more investor friendly every day! Now if we can just get some investors to take a friendly shine to our stock. That would be the ticket!
I hope you're right about that, Dealer. Stan has publicized POW in many ways and has tried to get Wall Street's attention regarding his various projects. It just seems that POW is a forgotten stock with most investors and they need more reminders of the great potential this company has for future profits. Maybe big investment bucks are just waiting in the wings for an announcement confirming a movie deal. That will be music to all of our ears!
That would be great if the letter was PR'd. Most of the investment world knows nothing about POW and a letter like that will enlighten many an investor about the many projects Stan has going. I think we're on the verge of another uptick in POW's stock price. Bigger volume lately and brighter prospects for future revenues. Our little pinkie is fully reporting and even made a profit the past six months! It's unreal that POW isn't a half buck by now.
