UFOs: Disclosure Is Coming
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/connie-willis/ufos-congress_b_3040819.html
Disclosure is coming for the UFO world, or so we hope. Political activist Stephen Bassett, along with researchers and military witnesses, will tell their stories before former members of the U.S. House and Senate at the Citizens Hearing on Disclosure, starting at the end of April in Washington, D.C. They will testify about events and evidence that supports the idea that many people have of an extraterrestrial presence regularly engaging the human race. Their goal is to end the alleged ET truth embargo.
As controversial as UFOs and aliens are, the last time Congress held a hearing addressing the extraterrestrial issue was in 1968. How can that be? There are so many daily sightings around the globe, some telling of crafts that are stupendous in size.
What is probably the most well known UFO story is the Roswell Incident of 1947. A saucer, reportedly containing aliens, allegedly crashed on a ranch near Roswell, N.M. U.S. military personnel were sent to the crash site to gather all relevant evidence. The world was first told it was a crashed flying saucer, then the story was changed to it being a weather balloon, and then later, the public was told it was test dummies. It is one of the most publicized and controversial of UFO incidents.
Did you know there was a fleet of UFOs that flew over the White House on July 12, 1952? It's known as the "1952 Washington, D.C. UFO Incident," the "Washington Flap" or the "Washington National Airport Sightings." There were a series of reports from July 12 to July 29, 1952, over D.C. Yep, more than two weeks of UFO sightings over our nation's capitol.
A massive UFO was spotted by dozens of people over Stephenville, Texas, on Jan. 8, 2008. It was described as half a mile wide and a mile long. Some witnesses claimed to see military aircraft following the object, and others say they saw black helicopters flying at low altitude over their property after the sighting. There were reports of missing livestock and others claimed to have been threatened to keep their mouths shut about what they saw.
It's been reported that over 10,000 people witnessed the gigantic series of lights over the city of Phoenix, Ariz., in 1997. Known as the Phoenix Lights, even Fife Symington, the governor at the time, after making a joke of the situation at a news conference the following day, has since come out to say he, too, saw this huge "otherworldly" object.
These are only a few of the numerous sightings seen in the United States. Unidentified flying objects are reported daily all over the planet.
I feel witnesses are left without answers, baffled, confused and sometimes terrified. If they mention what they saw to anyone, they then have to prepare for the potential ridicule of being told they are fools, nut cases, real wackos, and left alone to deal with something that may have changed their lives forever.
When a gun is found in a school locker or an unmarked box is seen in the middle of a highway, it can make national news, and result in full blown investigations. But when a massive, silent machine glides in the air over one of our cities or suburbs, and it's reported to be the size of four football fields and seen to reach speeds from 0-3000 mph in an instant -- as was reported in Stephenville, Texas, the same national news coverage does not exist. And if there are investigations, which I sure hope there are, there is no mention of them.
It is always interesting to hear the different theories of what these crafts are in the sky. Some people claim these UFOs are our military testing new top secret aircraft. I have heard others say they are some other country's military aircraft. Witnesses, like myself, want to know what these objects are in the sky. Since we get no definitive answers, our next question seems to be, "Why are you not telling us?"
If the day comes that you see a massive vehicle flying over your head that is completely silent and the size of four football fields, or you see many strange lights that hover in the sky changing directions at angles we are not used to seeing and then shooting out of sight at speeds we are not used to seeing, you, too, may ask these same questions and feel frustrated that no acceptable answers are forthcoming.
One of the many theories suggesting extraterrestrial visitation is that they created us and are watching our progress. A theory I really enjoy related to this idea is the Intervention Theory by Lloyd Pye. It speaks of an intelligence behind the design of Earth.
Another theory out there is they are visiting and mining our planet for minerals. Others have speculated that we already have different treaties with the aliens. One of those alleged treaties allows them to study us, which includes continuous abductions of people and animals. In return, it is said they are to give us technology, medicines, or knowledge. Scary, eh?
It is thought by some, myself included, that if we were all privy to knowing that ETs exist, we could cure every disease, mental disorder and energy problem, because it is thought the alien visitors have these answers.
I believe disclosure will tell us who we are as humans and what our role is in the universe. I also believe we humans are ready to handle the truth of these other beings.
Good luck to those attending the Citizens Hearing on Disclosure speaking out about what you and many countless others have witnessed in the sky. I am quite sure the day will come when your efforts and courage will be acknowledged by the masses.

Indian Fertilizer Firms Hunt for Resources
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324883604578398011583568722.html
Indian fertilizer companies are looking from Canada to Africa for acquisitions or tie-ups that can provide them with the raw materials they can't find at home.
One of the world's biggest fertilizer consumers, India is forced to import around 40% of its fertilizer ingredients, an industry-group executive said, including all of its potash and about a quarter of its urea. It also faces a shortage of natural gas—the main feedstock in urea, which is the nation's most commonly used fertilizer—that has left its fertilizer companies keenly interested in North America's abundant supply of cheap gas.
Among recent deals, the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative, the country's largest seller of fertilizer, said in October that it plans to form a joint venture with Canada's La Coop fédérée and Investissement Quebec to build a urea plant in Quebec for 1.2 billion Canadian dollars (US$1.2 billion).
The cooperative also plans to begin operations at a joint-venture phosphoric acid plant in Jordan by August, Managing Director U.S. Awasthi said last week in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. Phosphoric acid is a key ingredient in some fertilizers.
Another half dozen or so big Indian fertilizer companies are seeking acquisitions or joint ventures overseas to secure long-term supplies of raw materials, said Satish Chandra, director-general of the Fertilizer Association of India, the nation's largest industry body.
"Indian companies are looking for the right projects overseas," Mr. Chandra said. "The fact is that we are one of the world's biggest fertilizer importers and our market is growing."
Peter Hall, founding partner of Valence Group, a global firm that advises companies on acquisitions in the chemicals sector, said, "Indian fertilizer companies will probably be among those active in overseas mergers and acquisitions and may be among the first Indian chemical companies to make meaningful acquisitions abroad."
The gap between India's demand for fertilizer and its domestic production is growing. Demand has risen 3%-4% annually over the past decade and currently totals around 60 million metric tons a year, Mr. Chandra said. Analysts say long-term demand is certain to continue rising.
But output growth and investment in the sector have stalled due to the lack of raw materials and government requirements that fertilizer companies sell their products to farmers at discounted prices, as well as the companies' long waits for the government to reimburse them for those subsidized sales, Mr. Chandra said.
Another recent deal is Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.'s 500690.BY +0.94% purchase last month of a 20% stake in Canadian potash miner Karnalyte Resources Inc. KRN.T -2.45% for 3.3 billion rupees (US$61 million), according to V.D. Nanavaty, GSFC's general manager for finance.
Those looking overseas include Indian Potash Ltd., the country's top importer of potash, which is exploring a possible collaboration in Saskatchewan, said P.S. Gahlot, the company's managing director. "The talks are very preliminary," he said, declining to give details.
Mr. Gahlot said a number of Canadian companies with licenses to mine potash have approached Indian companies about forming joint ventures in Canada.
India's state-run Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. 524230.BY -0.76% is also looking at options for securing long-term potash supplies from overseas, according to industry executives. Rashtriya didn't respond to repeated requests for comment.
One of North America's big attractions for Indian fertilizer companies is its abundance of low-cost natural gas after a decade-long shale-gas boom. India, meanwhile, imports around a quarter of the natural gas it consumes, at prices much higher than those available in Canada and the U.S., and its output has declined over the past two years.
Though Indian fertilizer companies currently receive natural gas at subsidized rates, prices are still higher than in North America, and are expected to rise under a new policy the government is considering.
"As India is at a disadvantage in terms of gas and feedstock pricing, it becomes almost inescapable to consider overseas acquisitions," Mr. Hall said.
Former U.S. Congress members to attend UFO hearings
02 Apr, 2013
Three former members of the U.S. Congress are scheduled to listen to five days of testimony on the topic of UFOs at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. later this month. According to Stephen Bassett, the organizer of the event, former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel from Alaska, former U.S. Representative Carolyn Kilpatrick from Michigan, and former U.S. Representative Merrill Cook from Utah, have all signed on for what Bassett is calling the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure. The witnesses will include UFO experts and military officials from around the globe, and the spokesperson for the event is Apollo Astronaut, Dr. Edgar Mitchell.
The names of the former congress members were just released today. Gravel was a senator in the 70s, but ran for the democratic nomination for President in 2008. He did not have strong support in the Democratic Party so he switched to the Libertarian Party in hopes of obtaining their Presidential nomination. He did not gain their nomination either, but has remained a Libertarian. Gravel was instrumental in getting the Pentagon Papers into the public record in 1971. Kilpatrick is a member of the Democratic Party and served as the U.S. representative for Michigan’s 13th congressional district from 1997 to 2011. Cook is a businessman from Salt Lake City, and as a member of the Republican Party, he served as the U.S Representative for Utah’s 2nd district from 1997 to 2001.
The hearings are scheduled for April 29 to May 3, and will be streamed online in several languages for a fee. The public can attend the hearings for free, but seating is on a first come first serve basis.
According to Bassett, the former congress members are not going to be asked to formally share their thoughts on the testimony they hear, nor will they be required to respond if asked.
As to the goal of the hearings, Bassett says he hopes to “bring about the formal acknowledgement of an extraterrestrial [presence] by world governments.”
He continues:
We are trying to create a critical mass event that will launch several major outlets into investigatory mode and start asking the obvious questions of the obvious people. If that happens, the truth embargo will likely not last through the summer.
