I know what you mean sathington.
Right on sathington.
Yes, he is comming across as an amateur. There is much to say.
Saved by Ameritrade.
My funds haven't transferred yet so I was saved from myself and couldn't buy any shares today. Larry still hasn't addressed why the "imminent" funding last July never came, or where is the revenue stream from Mongolia that he boasted about from "our windfarms."
Sathington's Update from Larry, "We are being considered by a large finance group out of hong kong"(lower case is Larry's) seems like more of the same nebulous babble that got us from .20 to .0045.
Yes, someone bought a hunk today at the close. There always seems to be several hundred thousand shares bought when the price languishes. The sathington email indicates that nothing is going to happen soon, so I am not worried about not being able to pick the absolute bottom. If it breaks out to .02 as Larry promised in another email( to aandt?), I could buy and still be below my average.
Momentum indicates that I can wait and get some bargain shares at .0001. ... and then double down again at 00.00?
The email to sathington sounds authentic. Sathington has always seemed to be on the up and up. If so, the company is still breathing, albeit on life support. I am thinking of putting the chips on the table again knowing that it is akin to playing the lotto. I'll sleep on it.
Good work sathington.
It sounds like Larry. I am glad you were courteous and not confrontational. He does get defensive when pushed. I guess we wait some more. I hate to admit it but I am contemplating picking up some more shares.
I am guessing that Tammy is starting to sell the 2,640,200 shares she declared she was going to sell. I would double down (quadtriple down at these levels) if I sensed a glimmer of life. But I'll be damned if I'll buy shares that Tammy is selling. Kooties.
There is nothing to gain with a class action suit. They have nothing.
In my dream world, I'd love to see a shareholder's meeting where we could boot the McNabbs out and replace them with some of the people from this board who seem more able, honest and equally qualified to get things going.
I wouldn't buy a used car from Larry.
Vitasi, Welwind, ....?
The shell could possibly be sold for more than all the assets are worth. Maybe Tammy will come up with a new concept. Powdered gogi berry? At this point I have no confidence/trust in Larry.
If I looked at this company for the first time today I'd laugh at all the unfulfilled PR promises. I think that only earnings will intice new investors. Insider selling is always a sell signal. How can Tammy think that her selling would garner investor confidence? Yes, she did say shares would be sold to run the business. I thought she meant the company's authorized shares. Regardless, how much money would it take to run this company right now?
I've been lurking, escape, with nothing to contribute.
Larry seems to still be breathing. I imagine that if anything good ever happens to Welwind no one will believe it.
Tammy is selling.
02/15/2011 McNabb Tammy Lynn
Officers --/-- Planned Sale -- $16,633 2,640,200 shares
http://data.cnbc.com/quotes/WWEI/tab/8.2
I'm glad someone spoke up about that.
stockholder101 is not to be trusted and his words suspect as being motivated by some ulterior motive. He fits the profile of a pump and dump manipulator. Even if he is simply a formerly entheused, presently disgruntled investor, he now has no credibility with me and is being put on ignore.
"WWEI Investor are too savvy"
What sophisticated investor is going to buy that patronizing rhetoric in leu of hard news? Now we are waiting for another promise. What happened to "completed negotiations to acquire an 80% interest in Inner Mongolia Wind Turbine's 300 MW wind farm"? We got earnings projections and glittering generalities but no results.
What about the wind turbine marketing agreement with Yatu? How many clients do we have for the consulting venture? Is there a market study of the potential?
The Zhanjiang wind farm: "The company awaits final approvals and believes this will obtained third-fourth quarter 2010." I'm obviously not savvy because I require updates on all these unanswered questions. Are savvy investors really holding as deadlines pass with no news and the stock plummets into oblivion?
I am sympathetic to the struggle, but I feel like I am rooting for an amateur. Don't make estimates and deadlines if you are not going to explain why they passed unfulfilled.
I agree, the company is delusional.. Little fish in big pond. Tammy has totally bailed out and Larry is certainly misleading investors as jckrdu said. It looks to me like inept neophytes playing grown up. Unfortuately I believed the "fluff" and have lost a lot of money. I do hope that something good befalls us or that the McNabbs gain some self realization and stay away from the market place so their corporate immaturity doesn't hurt people.
I feel that he actually thought the news of the consulting venture would lift the shares to 2 cents. Rather than being unconcerned about shareholders, he may be oblivious to present market realities. The current market ignores hopeful plans and baseless projections. We need earnings. I suspect we are getting no cc because we will only find that he is as clueless as we about the windfarm progress.
I bought in at .28 and am feeling pretty good right now. I'm wondering if previous highs at 4.50 are remotely possible?
Happy and prosperous new year To Welwind and us all.
New shareholder here. I just began averaging in today. Nothing like trading worthless dollars for real resourses.
The market certainly didn't embrace the concept.
Thanks for the education TRAPPER. I am a new investor as of today, looking for some exciting and profitable times ahead.
w=f*d ... Work = Force times Displacement. Common Larry give us some Displacement.
aandt, thanks for sharing those messages, albeit you got chewed out by Larry. But it is good to hear that he is still hoping like us.
escape, you have been right-on with your predictions. I am going to guess that the scenario you presented will play itself out. No news during the holiday season. Maybe next year?
The messages to aandt certainly were a mystery and a frustration. The press release barrage since July, full of optimism, lifted the stock from a half a penny up to 2 cents. Now we are headed back to half a penny or lower.
According to Issac Newton if a man carries a bucket up a hill and back down, no work has been done. Just labor. We've been up and down the hill with nothing in the bucket but air and back where we started.
I do hope we hear good news soon, or it is coal in the Christmas stockings again.
I assume that Larry has no interest in we current shareholders whatsoever. The recent press releases full of glitter, hype and promise seem to be directed at luring potential new investors. But they didn't take the bait.
If he addresses our concerns about delays, failed objectives and unfulfilled promises, then new investors may be reticent about buying. If he makes more claims about imminent funding and earnings projections, then long time shareholders become cynical. He can't win.
I hope he just sticks with it and gets the job done. I hope the next press release contains something to please current and future shareholders.
Tax loss selling season too.
Good plan aandt. Canada's Thanksgiving was a month ago and he as a Canadian may not have taken into consideration that markets would be closed this week. Welwind is real and escape listed all the reasons that the McNabbs must not fail. So I will hang in there ... with shakey knees.
I meant no offence aandt. It was just conjecture on my part. I'd seen his address before, but felt an irrepressable urge to speak my mind when I saw the address again.
You did a great service by sharing with us. I agree that you have integrety and I am now confused why absolutely none of his promises came true.
I have no doubt that aandt was receiving authentic emails from Larry, because I know for certain that the email address he posted is Larrys. I'll bet Larry got a ream of hostile emails after aandt posted the address. That may explain some of Larry's anger.
Escape, You have called it right all along.
The Mongolia deal was announced on July 15, 2010. There was a later press release detailing an earnings scheduel. Then an other release revising the earnings fugures to account for the new turbines. The language used led one to believe that we were already making those earnings. ie: Larry referred to "our wind farms."
I bought a ton of shares simply based on the Mongolia prospect.
Regarding the form the 10q, it looks like both the Yangxi and Zhanjiang agreements have reached their expiration dates. So couldn't we be booted out any time? Yes, we have an investor to whom we gave 20% interest of Zhanjiang. Does the balance sheet show an appropriate resulting infusion of cash? What did we get in return for the 20%? And in Yangxi "as at September 30, 2010, the agreement is in good standing". But we still aren't building. We've been there for nearly 4 years!
The only item that seems to have appeal to new investors is that we cancelled 459,333 shares. However, we issued 38 million shares.
And what happened to Inner Mongolia!?
I just can't see how we are supposed to be happy this week and see 2 to 3 cents per share.
I own a lot of shares bought much higher and would love to keep the spirit. But I'm definitely losing my religion.
Maybe news tommorrow eh?
Drat. I bought more shares on the Mongolia news. This is kind of like bragging about the big fish that got away when all we got was a bite on the line.
Furthermore, I thought we were out of the Yangxi venture. Now we are in again .. maybe. After all the pressing for some news from the company, I am thinking that silence may be better than promises.
I'm still holding... waiting for real news that will take us to the new floor at .02 -.03 as was promised.
I agree. I believe it was Jim Rogers who quipped, buy agricultural property ... and a gun to protect it.
I completely agree with your opinion escape, so it is not intirely worthless. Anyone researching WWEI is going to come across the Yahoo and Google finance forums where the McNabbs are taking a mercilessly cruel drubbing complete with adolescent libalous character assassination. The only thing that will lift the McNabb name above that stigma is success. And that will be measured by income. Public figures are satirized and buffooned, and what makes it tolerable is laughing all the way to the bank.
Right, 2 or 3 cents is to low a goal for the long term. I don't break even until much higher than that. I'm with alexander77, that this could be over a dollar in a few years if the promise comes true.
Today is my birthday so I am off to less cerebral activities. Common Larry, how about a present?
Likewise escape! aandt's communications have been uplifting to the spirit if not the share price. I thought Larry's statement about "no coal for Christmas this year" rang with authenticity.
I look forward to a conference call. Tammy has always been honest and forthwright even with bad news and we are sure to find out exactly what is going on.
I can't help but like the McNabbs and I do hope that they maneuver Welwind to way beyond 2-3 cents. I think Larry is going to get lumps of coal in his Christmas stockings until he gets this well above a dime which I surmise is where his family got in. Behind every successful man is a mother inlaw.
If your hypothetical scenario of no progress through Christmas plays out, the stock is certain to plunge. It is way too late for me to sell but I am vexed as to whether I should buy more and double down... I mean triple down.. If good news comes I will be all in. My family is in WWEI and I'm getting tired of receiving coal too.
I couldn't find evidence of tradinghawk1's claim that 2 million shares were dumped on Friday. In fact, 1 million shares traded on an uptick suggesting buying activity. It looks like we have a basher, which I suppose could be a good sign.
I'm still one broken promise away from losing my religion, especially with tax loss selling season approaching. If Larry doesn't come up with something good the price could plummet.
On the other hand, the guru Marc Faber mentioned that Mongolia is a boom in the making with bountiful resourses. I found that the only way to invest there is through the Mongolian stock market, a bank listed in Canada or indirectly through a couple of mining companies working there.
I am rooting for news about the Mongolia venture. It would be a foot in an immense door leading to vast possibilites. Mongolia has gold, copper, uranium and steel foundary grade coal. I would love to taste the sweet irony if Welwind ended up providing power for the coal mines that supply the Guandong steel mill that kicked us off the island!
Fantastic aandt. Thank you for the sigh of relief. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. I wish there was a way to invest in Yatu. I can't find a ticker symbol for them.
That is a great idea JP. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Talks to Yatu and the agencies involved at Nansan Island in Guangzhou and in Mongolia would corroberate Welwind's statements or debunk them. Now, who here speaks Chinese?
escape81, I have seen many companies expand the amount of authorized shares but I don't know if that requires board or shareholder approval. Another concern is a reverse split which would ruin us all.
Your point: "they're 40-somethings with kids, bills to pay" is the sentiment that has been keeping me here. If they flub this venture up, they will loose all credibility with the investment community and find it hard to start up again.
I will retain hope if another late, uninspiring 10k shows up, because that indicates that they are still expending effort to stay in business. I probably bought some of the shares drkn sold and my efforts to average down have only brought me more losses.
But I am fighting deja vu from 2 years ago when promises of Peace River, the Carribbean and China were followed by agonizing silence. The promises made last July about imminent progress need to be addressed or I may start being swayed by the dark side.
Nevertheless, I will try to remain faithful through the 4th quarter when Larry promised results after which time if there is no real news, I will consider the horrible possibility that I have been taken.
Furthermore:
"Government officials who signed the relocation approval include Zhanjiang's new Government Mayor (Mr. Ruan Ri Sheng), the Chief of Comprehensive Branch (Mr. Huang Qiang), Zhanjiang Government Vice-Mayor in Charge of Industry, (Mr. Wang Zhong Bing), Chief Secretary of Zhanjiang City Government (Mr. Zhu Lu), Zhanjiang Government Secretary-General (Mr. Li Lian), and Vice of Chief of Development and Reform Bureau, (Mr. Liao Guo Shu).
I re read the September Progress Report. Regarding moving the Company's project to Nansan Island in Guangzhou.... "The company awaits final approvals and believes this will obtained third-fourth quarter 2010."
I presume that the "imminant" funding mentioned months ago is contingent upon the results of the move and a ppa. So I will be patient through the fourth quarter.
I suppose the lack of progress in Mongolia is based on details with the development and implimenation of the new Yatu turbines. I can accept that.
I wish I didn't have to guess about the delays though, and I would rather hear the reasons comming from the company. I am certain that WWEI is not a fraud and I have confidance that Tammy and Larry aren't pumping with promises simply to unload shares.
I am not accumulating stock now because without explanations, I see the share price drifting lower. Yet the big lots of shares exchanged on downticks seem to be nearly balanced by big lots on upticks. Someone is selling and someone is buying.
I do hope that they give you reason to stay around plumo!
