vines3, No I didn't. Did anyone here see that? That is very interesting! Hmmmm, doesn't Vodaphone own a huge portion of Verizon?
Thanks Vines3!
Yes beeh, thanks! And I hope you're right about a probable settlement.
Thanks Again
JP, Thanks for the info. eom.
Thanks Yellowjacket! eom.
I guess there have been no 'leaks' or 'hints' of what took place in the conference today? Does anyone know how long after a conference, public dockets are available to the public?
Thanks
Thanks, KGR! eom.
I'm 20 minutes behind, does anyone know where we stand? Bid/Ask?
Thanks
I e-mailed Semacode, and suggested that they might want to start "LIKING" patents, and gave them quite a few reasons why!
Well, I wonder what NEOMS "opinion" is of them not infringeing! They (Semacode) may not like patents, but like it or not, patent laws DO exist! They better stick with the LAW, or get slapped with a suit IMO. Maybe Semacode should talk to the guys over at Airclick, Scanbuy, and of course, Virgin, and get their "opinions" on patents, and what will happen if you choose not to use them, or follow them!
As a matter of fact, I'm going to e-mail Semacode, too and give them MY "opinion"!
Sure is quiet around here today, considering what a BIG day this could be!
Two Great posts donbalon. Thanks. I wonder if we will hear anything today, or just get info from the public dockets. (I have a feeling that NEOM has a PR that is already written up. It's just warming up in the Bull Pen) The question is, when will they unleash the Bull?!
Good Luck Everyone!
I understand your concern beeh, and yes, I would like to see some much bigger partners join NEOM. Hopefully that will happen. I guess, after three weeks of nothing, I'm just glad to hear SOMETHING!
Movieguy, I have to disagree with you on one small point. Yes it is true that management should mainly focus on getting this thing going, but I do feel they should put shareholders in very high regard, and place high value on their opinions. After all, the shareholders also 'own' the company, and if the pps does not eventually increase, then what is the point for shareholders to continue to invest?
I agree. I personally am very happy with todays PR. It shows that they are moving right along. Beeh, you have to realize that they DO have big partners i.e. SAIC. SAIC is THE
MAIN reason I invested in NEOM. My sister is a former employee of SAIC. That is one DYNAMIC company! She loved working for them, and we all know what they are capable of!
Neom obviously has large partners, and small as well. But any new PR they put out, big or small, just shows that they are hard at work everyday, and we're one step closer to the BIG ONE!
Walden, and Aveng, knowing what you own is very important, that is true. But what is even more important, is owning stock in a company that has a tremendously powerful management team that knows what it takes to get such a powerful technology out. There are some HUGE players out there that may participate in some questionable activities. So implementing this 'Killer App.' is going to be very challenging to say the least for NEOM. They have to be VERY on top of things IMO, and should take advantage of every single avenue available to them.
Who knows if management reads these boards, but if they do, and they see some of the concerns that investors have, who knows, it could help things a bit. There are some very intelligent people that post here, and I'm sure that (and hope) NEOM values their opinions.
I mentioned that NEOM needs a good IR firm, because I have contacted them at times with questions regarding the patents, only to hear "I have a marketing degree, not a law degree, so I can't help you", And, on another occassion, I contacted them with a financial question, only to hear, "Again, I have a marketing degree, not a finance degree, so I can't help you".
That is not very encouraging, to someone who has invested quite a bit of money into their company.(And yes, I am aware of the SEC regulations, but a good IR or PR firm would do wonders for NEOM, IMO).
So, I guess my point is, you can 'Know What You Own', but if the management team doesn't have what it takes, to implement 'What You Own', it doesn't even matter, does it?
That is not the case IMO, with NEOM, but there is nothing wrong with investors voicing concerns every now and then. And hopefully NEOM takes those concerns to heart.
beeh, at this point, I'll take anything that will give NEOM more exposure, or at least give us shareholders some info. Sure, it's not as big as SAIC, but it's something. (Hopefully we won't be going another three weeks from today, though, before we hear anything else). I'm not really thrilled right now with the level of communication with NEOM management. They need an Investor Relations dept.
Well, uh, I guess I'm eating my words! We'll have more exposure now! Good job NEOM!
You are right, and I agree. But I also agree with vines3, that they could've issued a PR, for example, about their silver sponsorship @ CTIA. Or, other PR's regarding other issues, that would at least spark curiosity among those that aren't aware of NEOM, or simply spark more curiosity on Wall Street.
Thank You WilliamFL! Sounds promising! eom.
I understand, and I know they are working very hard, and are swamped. Would just like to see them start to gain more exposure. Like Picksit said, you'd think the media would be all over this.
Thanks, Kokonutguy. eom.
Picksit, I agree. There are other companies that seem to really be on the ball, and are aggressively marketing. Patents or no patents, these comapnies have much more recognition than NEOM. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that NEOM is laying way too low at this point? With so much happening around us, I feel that NEOM could be left in a cloud of dust, if something doesn't happen soon. Plus, they could end up spending all there time suing others for infringement, rather than actually getting their platform off and running, since so many other companies are trying to do the same thing.
Sorry to sound negative, but it's just a concern
Yes, very interesting. So is it safe to say that we will definitely be hearing something soon? After all, tomorrow is the 23rd. Even if there is no PR, there should be something on public record? Also, it has been 15 days since last PR. Is this longer than normal for NEOM to issue news?
Thanks
Thanks Success. That's what I thought. It seems that they feel they should be treated differently from all other companies that have to follow patent laws!
I can't see where it would be their (Semacodes) descision as to whether or not patents should be used. It seems that it should be the descision of the U.S. govt. It seems to me, that IF or WHEN patent laws are ever changed, Semacode would then be able to implement software, etc. without the use of patents, but in the mean time I would think they should have to follow the LAW or face the consequences of patent infringement! Am I wrong here?
Semacode Registry? I've been looking forward to good news, but this isn't what I expected. Anyone know about this? Does NEOM?
beeh, Thanks for asking that. I agree, all of these articles sound wonderful, but I too have become frustrated with the lack of mention of NEOM. Sometimes I find myself just clicking through some of those posts, without reading them, because I feel it is becoming repetative. That's why that essay by Barbara Ballard last week that Woogerbear and Success pointed out was so refreshing. She ACTUALLY TALKS of NEOM SPECIFICALLY.
I'm glad you asked that question. It seems as though we keep hearing of all this great tech that is exploding all around us, but not one mention of NEOM. Does this mean that we are going to have an explosion of press releases, that tell us of licenseing agreements with all of these companies that we have been reading about here? Well, hopefully, after tomorrow, some light will be shed on the situation.
I agree. Patience is really going to be a virtue over the long weekend coming up! (I'm assuming the Market is closed Monday for Presidents Day)?
Okay, I was hoping someone else was going to ask this, but I guess I'll have to. Is this infringement? Doesn't look good to me, it's a little 'too' similar in my book. But hopefully I'm wrong.
Anyone willing to comment?
Thanks
Thanks PrinceCove, That's an interesting thought. Look forward to seeing what happens!
I think one issue is that NEOM is still not very well known. Hopefully they will be gaining more and more exposure soon. Articles like Barbara Ballards (Thanks Woogerbear and Success for those posts) will no doubt help. That is an excellent essay, and should hopefully spark a lot of interest from Wall Street.
Thanks Movieguy. That really helps. I'm not used to such volitility, and days like these are a little discouraging. But you're right, it appears as though a lot of good things are just around the corner.
Thanks Again!
I just hope we eventually break this cycle. We get a run up for whatever reason, then sure enough, we're right back down again. Is this mainly profit takers that are taking advantage of pps pop ups? I'm assuming that some major news will finally break this cycle? Or is it going to have to be actual revenues coming in, or both?
Thanks
Wow. Talk about a pull back. eom.
True, but hopefully it won't take a few years to get over a dollar! NEOM needs to get back on NASDAQ.
Looks like we're moving back up? Maybe profit takers have moved on?
Thanks KGR. eom
Again, I'm 20 minutes behind. Anyone know what's up? (or down for that matter)?
Thanks
So far no PR? I wonder what this is all about.
That's right! They don't call him 'The King' for nothing!! And, Yep, NEOM was there too! Well, looks like 'The NEOM Boys Are Back In Town'!! (Soon to be 'NASDAQ TOWN' that is)!
