Right on, BigE. My thoughts exactly. Let's sit back and enjoy the crazy short playing show until substantial business news arrives and catapults the SP.
Not contract news, but interesting news none the less!
http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/quantum-materials-announces-new-outside-directors-and-adds-scientific-advisory-board-268077081.html
Depending on size of contract and current production capability (large reactor in production), we may see SP have a week of .10+ trading day gains.
You're doing a fantastic job throwing out skepticism! Apparently it must be shaking a few leaves free!
What BigE, you're not to blame for these price fluctuations? That's outlandish! :)
Thanks for the forward looking statement. I don't care about the price today, tomorrow, or three months from now. Talk to me in December and then I might be concerned whether they hit their business plan goals or miss them.
200,000 shares is chump volume. This is no retrace. This is a small fraction of people willing to sell at a much lower price. Yes, the price may dip on a few hundred thousand shares, but that's because no one else is selling at anything this low. If the volume was like last weeks intraday 1.8 million, then I might call it a retrace. Even on that day it recovered on the last 800k shares.
If they get the larger reactor this quarter as projected in 10Q and validate production capabilities, display companies may have the quantities they need for fourth quarter. Although since we are one month into the 3rd quarter already, I don't know if they can meet that timeline for Christmas unless they have the reactor operational in the next several weeks.
Another market forecast for Qdots.

Prediction - next news from QMC:
Big blowout announcement to include large reactor received, production capacity announced, and contract with Samsung. Announced by mid August.
Just to throw out a little fun conversation topic.
You're a funny guy, lol!
That was one of the best news items of the year. I'm looking forward to it leading to sales.
This guy has a patent as well. He also was studying uses in batteries. He seems to be a good addition to their team. They are building a fairly well rounded team there in San Marcos.
Nice find! Always good to learn more about whose helping this startup.
I didn't think there was. I didn't see any.
I'm personally quite confident that QMC management could really care less about stock price at this point. They stand to make billions on this if they can bring it to the market.
Quite the roller coaster ride today!
Doc, I've been looking for data on Steve's previous company. Can you help me out? Where did you get the employee data?
Totally agree with the options. It's just a nice option to have in the back pocket.
Exactly. That does make the growth potential very exciting. QMC could be capable of producing 20,000 kg per year this time next year if demand required it. Nice to know.
I'm a guilty party to that!
I like it. The stock took a hit on some short selling and has almost recovered in the same day.
It definitely seems that way based on the terms of their agreement. That's solid info knowing the second large reactor is funded when it's needed.
Just picked up on the fact that the February debenture has an option to fund the second large reactor. I don't recall anyone talking about this previously. From the last 10Q below.
On February 6, 2014, the Company entered into a Securities Purchase Agreement, Debenture, Security Agreement, Subsidiary Guarantee Agreement, Registration Rights Agreement, Escrow Agreement, Stock Pledge Agreement and other related transactional documents (the “Transaction Documents”) to obtain $400,000 in gross proceeds from two non-affiliated parties (collectively hereinafter referred to as the “Lenders”) in exchange for 5,000,000 common stock warrants exercisable at $.06 per share through December 31, 2016. The Debenture has a term of two years maturing on January 31, 2016. The Debenture bears interest at the rate of 8% per annum and is pre-payable by the Company at any time without penalty, subject to the Debenture holders’ right of conversion at a conversion price of $.04 per share. The debt is secured by a security interest in certain microreactor equipment. Pursuant to the Securities Purchase Agreement, the investor has certain preferential rights to fund a second microreactor at a cost of up to $650,000. In the event of a second investment, the investor would receive warrants to purchase up to 8,125,000 shares, exercisable at $.06 per share with the second Debenture convertible at a conversion price of $.06 per share. The Agreement also provides for the investor to have the right to appoint one member to the Company’s Board of Directors in the event that any one of the aforementioned Debentures are converted into Common Stock of the Company.
How about we spread some positive assumptions/ rumors along?
I'm guessing they likely have the large reactor on site and are testing it's function and production capabilities as we speak. They were ahead of schedule with the first and it only took about 6 months from order to deliver. They got funding for the order in the first of February and it's been about 6 months.
Don't be surprised when we see additional action like today in the near future. This just goes to show that it doesn't take much to swing a penny stock.
Has anyone watched "The Wolf on Wallstreet." That was based on a true story. I have no doubt that penny stocks still get manipulated today using internet PR and penny stock pushing companies. Look at all the penny stock bulletins available today.
Don't SEC reporting companies have to report in advance when a large stockholder associated the company plans to sell stock before the sale. I believe this is true. If so, what would it benefit Steve or any other members of the company to pump up a stock that they don't have cued to sell?
You saw the agenda over the past 5 days.
This isn't all MM. I would say this is more penny stock pushers that entered the market on the way from $0.25 to $0.45. They took some profits on a small 1.5 MM volume and now it's time for a true price adjustment based on long term positions.
It would be craziness if this floated back up to $0.40 today. What an intraday dip that would be!
Top floor please. On the way back up, some profits taken by 1MM shareholders.
This is a long investment. We've all seen the rises and dips last fall and winter. It's only 1 million shares of 215 MM. This is just new comers taking profits and afraid of losing more. Their shaking the leaves.
There has been about 30 MM sold over the past month. 1MM doesn't determine a market value. It only determines the threshold for profits or loss for a small fraction of QTMM stock holders. Nothing to fear here, unless your playing the ups and downs.
Another startup for window solar use.

I have found in life that I can get along with rich and poor. It's all relative and not everyone can be stereotyped based on their incomes. I also find that written text lacks the capability to properly represent emotions or tone of language. A lot if which can be misinterpreted except when spoken in person.
We will all be happy people in a year or toe and very wealthy. I would not have a problem toasting QMC's success with either of you.
Cheers to QMC and their future success.
There doesn't appear to be a date provided with this info. Could this be a previous grant?
You know the two of you probably would be great friends if you met in person and discussed financial viewpoints over beers. :)
I believe BigE was using sarcasm.
Since we have no professional anaylst evaluating this stock yet, here is my valuation. This market is going to be very complicated to calculate valuations since it is a merging market. This is just one of my humble projections. Many other factors affect stock price and this could be lower or higher than my calculations. Just waiting on that revenue news. GLTA
current cost/gram = $13,000
percentage of current cost that QMC sets their price = 10%
Assumed QTMM sale price/gram = $1,300
production per/yr in 2014 = 12,250 kg (Assume 2 kg/hr achieved with larger reactor per 10Q, plus small reactor at 250 kg/yr. Note: This is equal to Nanoco touted production capability of 1000 kg/month)
Assumed shares issued = 215,000,000
Total revenue if all sold = $15,925,000,000 (One estimate for 2014 is around $670 million. I think this is wrong if production can support higher.)
Estimated market value = $670,000,000
Assume they capture 25% of projected market in 2015
Revenue at 25% market captured = $167,500,000 (I think they might capture a larger portion of the market.)
Assume 15% profit margin
earnings in 2015 = $25,125,000 (I believe they should set the profit margin higher, but not sure of their price point and operating cost. This will also affect the revenue value.)
P/E ratio for startup = 30
Share price calculated = $3.51
If profit margin = 15%
Market share = 50%
Share price = $7.01
The retrace continues. We're still waiting for solid revenue news.
