lol...I forgot to mention
I'm a bagholder as well in a different stock. we won't talk about that one. It's useless to write off, so i'm going to hold it just as you are. i got a small feeling that mine would make me look like a nice guy as well! Anyway, any game plan for tonights session? Had to cover a small margin call today before they liquidate my losses. lol Weird how margin works. i need to back off on my trade sizes a little, margin calls will rape me of my money(it' not worth anything anyway right?)
hestheman...something that would be even more valuable than a book...go and open a practice account. nearly all forex brokers have them. read a book as well, maby read it 3 or 4 times. anyway, the experience and knowledge that you gain from a practice account will likely exceed what you learn in a book. i use oanda.com ask around the board for other brokers if you want to shop a bit.
the only stock i still own is up 54% today. i guess i can call that my hedge? lol
However, my feelings are that EUR/JPY(and GBP/JPY) have enough downside at this moment to bring me back into the + range. Still beating the bush I guess. 159 is an extreme resistance point. i don't think it's going to make it there. i expect a pullback to the 156.30-157 range before moving much further. although, i have no clue what i'm talking about, so don't listen to me. what's sleep?
I have learned today that the phrase "don't beat a dead bush" is a good lesson. hehe. Win some lose some. Just need to win more than i lose right?
Short EUR/JPY 158.116.
I may enter another short position in EUR/JPY in a bit. If I do, i'll post in real time.
Thanks. That info is good to know. I'm still getting beat up in EUR/JPY.
Just curious...
Why the long on EUR/USD. I was browsing the chart a little...seems to be a downside to it.
Leverage....and 24 hour trading. That's my reasons. I work night shifts for 12 hours, my job is boring, so I need something useful to do.
Understood. And of course the same pattern exists in GBP/JPY.
Tell me:
Look at the EUR/JPY chart from about 1600 to now. Is that a head and shoulders pattern in place? With a double top?
ohh...i was thinking of referencing currency pairs as stocks. Like Matt accidentally did. my bad if i'm wrong.
he's gonna smack you in the back of the head for calling them "stocks." go to a broker and open a free demo account. It's the absolute best way to learn. Just make sure you open a realistic one that is equal to what you plan to put in a real account. If you plan to deposit $5000 in a real account, don't open a $500,000 demo account. It will confuse you.
I use www.oanda.com for my demo account. and I have a real money account with them as well.
well...my market debt just went to 0. hoping it keeps going so i'll create a debt for someone else!
May have just confirmed my suggestion...eom
It appears that EUR/JPY is bouncing off of the 157.70 resistance. I hope so anyway. Any thoughts Ataglance?
9:30pm AUD Trade Balance. eom
That's a very interesting writing. Thanks. Now I don't care if I lose "money". hehe
yes...always good to see my money coming back to me.
not much...just watching my market debt fade away at the moment. lol
boring market. still hanging in eur/jpy. i like 2am. things wake up then.
Good evening all!
I took a short on EUR/JPY based on my analysis of the 3 hour(pretty much the same as GBP/JPY) Now i'm gonna go and do my homework! I'll be back in a bit.
Peace
jRb
Thanks, i'll be exploring! Last week went well for me, so all i need is an ok week this week. I always like to check out different techniques, as mine isn't working well for the start of this week it seems.
lol. should've been a little more patient i guess. can handle the loss, still operating in profit by far anyway.
Looking at the 3 hour. Are you after 230 or less? eom
Took a 11 pip loss. Done with that pair for now. eom
intraday it appears to have been a head and shoulders, but it didn't follow with a decline. interesting. I'm in ABSOLUTE recovery mode, so i'm looking a little closer than 3 hour. all i'm interested in is seeing green or even 0 at this point. Right now i'm at -9.7.
That's mean. Looks like i'm still recovering for the moment, the trend kindof broke support, but it seems to have bursted back and is back on the same support line. for the moment
Absolutely! I'm a disabled vet, I spent a PILE of time at Walter Reed...still trying to figure out what they are bitching about on the news.
So are you saying...i've recovered all i'm going to recover? lol
I've went from -40 to -12 now. Things are looking bright. Thanks for the tips!
I'm doing homework now. VA is great. Good ol' monthly payments while the student loans sit around and pile up interest. lol
Yes, that's why I chose to long this pair instead of GBP/JPY earlier. It's a little easier to work with...even though it's somewhat of a mirror of GBP/JPY
Shoot..i just got out in 2005!
A lesson in patience:
Patience has recovered about 60% of my unrealized loss in just about an hour or so. As it's looking at the moment, patience my turn my loss into profit. End of class. Now move on!

lol! that's a good way to look at it.
Git R Done!
Don't forget...i'm long so i'm taking an @ss whoopen right now.
