Last week's PR making it's rounds.
http://electroiq.com/blog/2014/08/quantum-materials-achieves-95-quantum-yield-by-automated-quantum-dot-production/
BigE proposed a little guessing game a few weeks back, "when will SP hit $1." Doc's guess was just the earliest.
There sure are big bid/ask. This might be a high volume day if those move any at all.
Thanks, Hawk for pulling up the old dirt and showing us the importance of the last PR. That is very significant got QMC and the market, indeed!
Nice find, Hawk! I was just checking out the details of the trade show and conference. This is a very large event, or so it seems to me. Of course, I don't have much to compare it since I don't attend trade shows.
I noticed that they have the old company logo attached in the company list for the conference. I wonder how long they have been registered? Or if the conference organizer just grabbed the wrong logo?
I won't. But, I will by this time next year! QTMM willing!
Nice to see them presenting. That's a good sign.
Right on, Crunch! We're nearing the last segment of this marathon. Won't be long now until it's raining dollar bills!
Chess, your so right. This statement is huge if it can be done. Solar being competitive with current rates is a game changer.
I'm not complain about our current share price. As for business plan, they actually haven't missed and goals this year. I'm happy. Yes, a sales announcement would be nice to hear, but sales were supposed to be small in 2nd/3rd quarter. I'm not worried unless they miss the year end goals. Am I anxious, yes? But, which of us isn't? We're so close to huge profits, I think I can taste dollar bills.
Great question, BigE. I'm very curious how long a qdot last in any capacity. Of course, they have existed for about 30 years to my knowledge. Someone has has to had some on the shelf or in the sun for a decade or two to provide an answer.
I've like the comparison. I've been describing QMC using similar comparisons to people.
Solar (PV) show today in San Jose. Displays were yesterday.

Ok, it's good news today, but I would like to see a QDSC displayed at that trade show in San Jose today and detailed press on that tomorrow.
Yes. The merging of solar generation with storage capability. We are so close to a big change in energy.
That's the electric car patents. He said nothing of solar.
Excellent partnership opportunity with SolarCity. This is my dream. Elon Musk partnered with QMC to make solar the most cost effective energy source in the world.

If Solterra is going to get PR, they should do a little update to the company website. It's completely outdated.
Unsubsidized is HUGE!!!
I like the comment about being able to supply the whole display industry. That's a bold statement of potential. Not to mention the estimated low cost solar. Huge, Huge, news!
Art, thanks for the nice update! It's much appreciated.
You always leave us looking for more with your teasers!
Like, what is the efficiency of the QDSC? With the giant Qdots 4 times gains, can we see panel efficiency around 30%? There hasn't been any industry news on what the LANL discovery means to PV efficiency.
Would be nice for QMC to be represented here in September

Double header for Art?
Bigger market than the conference today. Tomorrow is PV in San Jose.

One day QMC will make the list for discussion like Nanosys and QDVision.

Good note on Art's location. Just validates my guess. Big news by tomorrow? Let's hope so!!!
Valid point!
"Chirp, chirp, chirp!" Can everyone hear the crickets today on QMC ihub? Slow day for news and group commentary.
I'd love to be a boat owner again. I sold my last one a few years ago. Not a lot of big water where I currently live. Maybe QTMM will make a new boat happen soon. :)
Is this the big Sony, Samsung, or LG showcase of a QMC quantum dot display? God, I hope so!
I noted a conference occuring today in San Jose on new display tech at the bottom of the last article I posted.

Next genereration TVs with qdots?
http://www.ecnmag.com/news/2014/08/quantum-dot-next-step-lcd-tv-evolution
Wow, everyone must be busy enjoying their summers. The QTMM board is like a ghost town. Are we all just waiting for that tumbleweed PR to just roll on by and wake us up?
Great clarification. I kept reading it as production capacity. Production output is a projection on their sales demand not capability. Thanks for setting me straight.
I've got one problem with the 4x statement. The math doesn't add up. They were touting 2 kg/ hr larger reactor which is more than 4x the current reactor ( ~42 - 63 g/hr based on 250kg/yr at 4000 or 6000 production hours). Now they may have just stated a conservative estimate, but the numbers definitely don't add up. Of course another thought, their 250 kg/yr could have been a conservative number as well and they can produce significantly more than that. Thoughts?
Pyrite in batteries.
