The company working hard is not the problem. ViaOne I'm sure works hard on everything other than actually implementing a plan on GMER that makes sense to anyone but themselves. ViaOne is not GMER ... GMER is distributed IT workforce that is confused.
Poop floats as well as hope. Company needs a complete overhaul. IMO.
Horse is heading to the glue factory… imo. Buy back lower. Ha!
RedChip that makes me laugh and laugh. Those clowns did nothing but market their own stocks and barely helped GMER. Wasted money and effort even thinking about what happened then. IMO.
That is precisely why it won’t. SEC is not something that someone with a successful private business wants to report out on and put on the line just to have their business insta go from value to pennies, which imo will happen within weeks of a merger. All retailers investors will dump on a pop … and there goes your value. IMO.
I also agree RM is fantasy talk. ViaOne likes the fact the are private and can hide everything; race NASCAR with money; and do whatever they do … without us all peeking under the curtains. IMO … RM will never happen.
I feel honestly based on my experience dealing with GMER is only worth subpenny IMO … GMER has nothing going for it at this point … other than little to no income; no user base and a plan to revive a dead horse in the race.
Needs an actual game development manager and a fresh focus on Web 3 and value add to the gamer community. Without that it’s essentially a game company running servers that college students do on their spare time … Roblox/Minecraft… and not real companies that are forward thinking. Riding on the coattails of others is not breaking molds. IMO.
IMO. We cut Sterling slack for now over a year and he essentially rugged the crypto/Gen 0 holders and went with Minecraft and Roblox, both of which no one on the original Web 3 project that started all this care about… and by the look of the player base neither do the players. Wrong leadership for a Web 3 community… and world.
It’s time the CEO actually does his job and leads this thing vs letting the worker bees fight it out.
They stunk on community development and communication long before August last year. This has been over a year of crap management and crap communication. The company need a colon cleaning to get going on the right track. Until then the company will continue to build stuff no one wants to play and have near 0 dedicated users. IMO.
IMO. It’s not the SEC that is their problem…. It’s their plan of putting lipstick on a pig (old game that ultimately could not pay the bills).
I just think they stink as managers and management of a game company. That’s where I’m at. IMO. ViaOne is like a dead weight on this public entity, which should have had a fair chance.
I’m not talking my loss or any retail investor’s loss. They don’t care about that. And yes, my loss in this thing sucks. I’m talking the company is acting like the stock doesn’t exist or have a bearing on their communication. That’s where I’m at. It was ok in 2021 on communicating then everything in GMER went in the toilet in early 2022. IMO.
Tax write offs for the rich are always in the back of my mind. Losses are not always “losses” for these people. Imo.
Yeah, for the sake of what this public entity was supposed to be I'm still not in favor of that ... the whole reason I got sucked into this as I thought I was getting into a public company that was forward thinking and Web 3 engaged.
Having this go into ViaOne is basically like throwing the towel in ... IMO. Needs a new company to take over. IMO it would be best if ViaOne would just sell this off and let someone else who knows what they are doing take over.
Yeah, I realized this morning that they said back in December their JV was with a company and to be honest I think that company was their Merkai Studios. So, IMO, I expect nothing to come new with "JV" as it was basically already done. If it hasn't already happened by now in the last 1 1/2 years the concept of a JV with a real gamer company (not some focused studio on one platform) then in my opinion it is not going to happen.
Also, everything they are building is old technology and old games. I mean it is Minecraft and trying to regurgitate stuff from over 5 years ago with a fresh look. IMO it is putting lipstick on a pig and calling it new.
Essentially when you put it all together this company in my opinion is being run by a group of old executives that have old ideas and shelved the younger folks from chiming in and leading. To me it looks like the whole track is to build games essentially that they shelved 5 years ago because they couldn't make money but now it is DO IT again "with new ideas". From a money standpoint, it appears, they are going the path of microtransactions; not allowing the players to own anything or really make money on it; and essentially the company controlling everything. But they are doing this all on something they already said "We are not putting any more resources on" in 2022... So, yeah ... What changed? IMO, this whole path is old school development and old game company processes.
Not to mention, I was in conversation with the current leadership at one point in 2022 and the response was "the players will make money and the company will not make much" on sales of NFTs. I should have realized this is an old game executive with old thoughts, but I was on the hopium train. The whole basis of Web 3 is for the company and the players to make money on a transaction-by-transaction basis but not aggregate sales. The key is ... the players make money ... so everyone wins. I honestly don't think the leadership has an idea on how these Web 3 projects work, which is micro-sales and aggregation of the sales. Sure, there is some gamer that makes like $1000 on a sale and you make 5%, but that is what you want. You want that to happen over and over ... for as long as possible. As it stands, they basically killed the market of their Web 3 and are going back to their old "we are the company, and we get all the money" mentality. IMO.
In my holding of privately run projects, the projects I am on are being run by a generation of folks younger than me, which means new ideas and new paths that are more related to the current times. As it stands, if GMER is to succeed as a public entity it needs fresh management to run the show. Not some past leadership from a section of a gaming company in 2015. They need fresh ideas and players want ownership, but IMO this company is heading down a path where ownership is still in question, and they certainly are not favoring the players making good money.
Basically ... GMER needs an enema .... IMO ... otherwise this public entity is not going to succeed like it should be allowed to do.
The consistent thing about this company is that they answer no questions and they surely don't answer to retail investors. They don't even answer to gamers of their own game. IMO, it is the worst company for communicating. I am now on multiple projects that, while they don't reveal their plans entirely, at least they tell the user base something. GMER consistently tells nothing at the excuse of "We are a public company and cannot disclose information" .. at all.
So, I would not expect any answers on anything until they get there act together, which in my opinion is only after new management takes over.
Minecade … down since 2019 … looking at the remains on the site … well … nuff said. Stick a fork in it. IMO. See link …
https://www.minecade.com/
Thread says it all … on their still active … not maintained site …
https://www.minecade.com/forum/m/10639516/viewthread/33748039-if-you-visit-this-thread-still-have-to-post-here/post/140201967#p140201967
I wish I would have found this server in 2021 … might have rethought my life choices…lol.
They haven't even retooled the logo for the Roblox game after 4 years and just reused the logo of a game they essentially abandoned and ditched their users on for 4 YEARS. I don't even know what to say to that.
Again, nothing surprising there. As a player, and tester on beta, I told them back in 2021 they needed to adapt Microbuddies Web 3.0 for mobile and based on my testing it came down to some pretty simple formatting work to make it work on mobile Metamask. As someone who actually played the game ... not just an investor ... not impressive. They could have been mobile on Web 3 with their base game basically in early 2022, but chose not to be.
So, essentially we, the Web 3 players, in the crypto side started to realize they were starting to put less resources on what we all came to them in 2021 in the first place, Web 3 when they came back with "we are too busy doing other things to make that happen", and never followed through. Keep in mind, they basically never actually played their own product on the public servers, so why would they care about mobile, or the value add to the players?
Lots of signs in 2022 this was going south for Web 3 innovation ... not a lot of signs it was not. We all just didn't want to believe it. IMO
Now they claim they are "making mobile", but that is only because Roblox can be played on mobile, not because of some innovative change they did. Again, relying on the values other have to offer vs. actually adding value to the market themselves.
Again these are my own opinions as a player of the games and not just an investor. Feel free to make up your own minds about this.
Keep in mind in 2022 they stated they gave up Minecraft as it didn’t make enough money to be profitable so they were not putting resources on it …. So yeah. Backtracking to a strategy that didn’t work once is not a real strategy.
IMO. Real money is in Web 3 but then again the management would need to have a clue what Web 3 was … senior management in GMER is Web 3 clueless. IMO. Still trying to live in a Web 2.0 world.
Not to mention the company would need to support the idea game players should own resources they can leverage for sale and trade outside proprietary platforms. Everything they are currently building is designed to keep gamers in the talons of the company and companies they partner with. Nothing innovative about that imo, but more of the same micro transaction bs all over.
My opinion … which others may not agree with.
This has been going on for over a year. In addition their solid commitment to not communicating has killed their user base.
Also, if you haven’t been playing then you don’t know the pain these guys have caused to the community. They are really bad on finding bugs and basically push to product broken stuff routinely. Not to mention they don’t play their own product in production and thus leave it to the community to find the problems. Not only that they let the crypto game sit broken for basically 6 months and still have not cleaned up the mess completely.
I’m not giving them a pass at this point. I have seen more capable teams on other projects and this entity is being underserved by being starved of resources and talent.
If the entity of GMER was sold off it would be much better for everyone if a real software developer took controlling interest. IMO.
I’ll disagree on one point …. I don’t think they are a scam honestly.
I just think they stink as a software developer and building communities.
IMO … The public entity needs to be sold off to a real software development company and not some play toy of a private company.
Personally I think the RM is never going to happen. My view is ViaOne likes being free from public scrutiny and there is little value at this point to rolling everything into what is currently clearly not going well. IMO ViaOne was the worst thing that could have happened to this public entity, but that’s where I stand and may not be the views of others.
IMO … GMER becomes a success when it is sold and operated by a real game developer and not some play toy, which imo it is.
Yawn. The fact is the company has close to no game players and very little if any income. Facts. This is after over a year of squandering opportunities to build a community. There are better things out there. IMO.
I was in this from the start of the crypto side and a gamer … who now feels abandoned as well as most of the folks I know on that side.
Issue I have with this company is they haven’t articulated anything other than fluff and vague “we are developing vertically”. Reality shows they have a skeleton crew; barely able to move forward in a pace that is meaningful; can’t draw in partners that bring players; focusing on Roblox and putting little resources in other areas including any community.
They have little to no gaming community left and are “We make games .. we are breaking molds” WITH WHAT? Any company can setup and make Roblox games and Minecraft games. That is not innovative. IMO most successful companies are making platforms that are resellable; can scale; and can act as commodities. Making games on Roblox helps Roblox (and maybe some level of revenue … idk) but does not make you some independent entity that breaks molds. Keep in mind, it’s not like Roblox has come out and said they are working with GMER and there will be a change in terms of service… ever. So GMER is bound by the same strict TOS everyone else is … and it’s pretty clear Roblox does not like crypto not to mention people making money on their platform and cutting them out by their own TOS … imo.
Not to mention… realistically the target audience is kids and it is know mostly only kids play Roblox. So yeah and that to me is a problem as far as I remember kids don’t have jobs. They tried to hype Roblox to the crypto side and ended up with everyone basically leaving… why? Because that crypto community doesn’t want to play a kids game on Roblox. IMO, in general the executive group is clueless about what crypto gamers want as it appears they are not building anything to draw them in. (Or if they are no one knows what it is).
Not to mention the ViaOne company doesn’t even really brag about their position in GMER. Basically my guess is GMER is a tax write off … because it sure isn’t something they care to talk seriously on. I mean when is the last time they had an investors’ meeting? I can’t even remember.
The Soon Train … hopium powered. That is where this is at. Buy Back Lower …. Ha!
Not to mention… they have never really said what their plan actually is. Even at a high level for the long term … just “we are developing vertically” mumbo jumbo … on stuff that resembles Weird Al’s Mission Statement song.
So my opinion is this company has morphed and the concept of crypto involved in their plan is so outside their reach it’s not realistic. I am in now three other projects that imo will smoke anything crypto this skeleton crew at GMER comes up with. Their plan is so 2021 … meaning concepts are outdated on what Web 3 has turned into and what gamers want. But if course this is only my opinion.
Now this said, they are going with Roblox heavily. That means if the gamble works and they conceptually come up with a game folks want to play it could translate to income for the company. This said, Roblox is for kids so targeted development at Roblox and thinking it translates to crypto gamers is mistaken… imo.
For where they are at … as far as crypto… it would take a miracle imo to bring it back to life at this point. They killed off and sense of community and don’t seem to care.
I mean I could be totally off but I have been with this group as a player and invested since August 2021 … and we still are at …Soon. Just sayin.
That is players online who are in Discord … does not mean they are checking the specific MB server. Just means they still have the server on their list of servers.
I can tell you the number of folks actually on the MB Discord server is more like 10 with 7 of them from the company (and some of us hopeful romantics hoping they care about the crypto community). I can tell you most (like myself) have given up on GMER caring about the crypto side, but we are stuck with crap tons of NFTs worth $0 (currently). Talking about the MB Discord is like pouring salt on a wound … imo.
YES, I’m salty … like other MB crypto owners.
I sold over the last week at small volumes to not impact negatively the stock for other people I like. I did this as I didn't want to do something that was harmful to others as I like the community, but I am disappointed with the company.
Thanks.
Thanks. Good luck everyone. Maybe some day in the future we meet again.
I’ll take this as a lesson and move on for now.
I will keep an eye on this but they need to show they actually have a plan vs …. We are making Roblox stuff and we think it’s cool (current plan).
Issue is … I now have 15k of MBs stuck in my crypto wallet to constantly remind me … lol.
I mean … I’ll be honest. I’m super annoyed and I’ve finally accepted that Jrod is right. Yes, I said it. Jrod is right.
I’m out for now. I’ll look for them to have a clear plan and less fluff … maybe later this year.
Not to mention per Roblox’s own data the develop has 12k followers collected over the entire period he has been developing, which starts back in 2014 … so yeah. Facts suck when they tell a different story.
Reality check … the guy’s games had over time a bunch of players but in Roblox at this min there are 7 active players. Look in Roblox for his profile to see the data.
So yeah … he’s an added developer with experience. End of news.
https://ro.blox.com/Ebh5?pid=share&is_retargeting=true&af_dp=roblox%3A%2F%2Fnavigation%2Fgame_details%3FgameId%3D92098836&af_web_dp=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.roblox.com%2Fgames%2F198126558
Yeah this is just management gibberish “announce the creation of its publishing vertical”. Also the PR was basically “we added one more developer to our team that developed Roblox stuff and seems good at it” … end of PR. Could have been a one sentence PR.
Could be … seems like a reasonable guess. This said I’m getting impatient and tired of SoonTM as the running rule. Her is to 2023 being the year of GMER.
This all said … we have a true game and gamers being added daily. It may be a restart in 2023 .. but I feel 2023 will be a good year for GMER. IMO.
That’s not what I was giving him credit for. I believe he’s right that not having some sort of ad campaign ready and turned on for the holiday season is a missed opportunity. That … that’s what he is right about.
Sure we have an increase in gamers but could you imagine where we would be at if we had kids with time on their hands playing now.
Kids are going back to school in 3 days … and we have no ad campaign. We may have a good 2023 coming but close out of 2022 was not the best.
I mean … I can’t fault you for being right on this one. Would have been an excellent way of getting new gamers in the Roblox are on holiday break. I’ll give you credit for being right on this point.
$GMER getting close to 2000 visits a day on the Roblox game now. Up nearly 100% on daily traffic from a week ago. Exponentially growing in players visiting the main hub.
Minecraft game is growing in consistent players on the game daily.
Means … revenue… looks like 2023 will be an exciting year. IMO. Go $GMER.
Also, latest update from the developers is that in-game currency from the blockchain game is going to be fully integrated into the rest of the metaverse to get all the platforms to work together. Now this said, that may take longer than expected but is still exciting.
$GMER now we have a complete game and HUGE expansion. Nice!!
