What you and others have achieved here is epic.
Would do the same. I'll trade 20% or so on moves but maintain the rest as a LT hold. When I hit a mil I'll shift to divi stocks for the most part. This takes several hours a day for me that I prefer be spent sailing around someplace warm.
Are you using a 6 mth chart for 50 DMA ?
LMAO...
Your numbers work assuming zero growth.
Your definitely on the wrong board to be pumping cannabis as a zero growth industry.. lol
Guess if your running on an opposition party platform it's an in-the-news topic that's guaranteed get you attention.
The Cannabis industry could open a lot of doors for Canada in terms of being seen as a "go-to" place for new business and industries.
Lol... we joke that every time he mentions CGC it goes down. Followed him when he first started and quickly stopped.
So much for Cramer telling people to buy..Lol
Lol.. A flourishing industry where Canada has a decisive lead, needs diversity in their GDP beyond natural resources and he's running on the possible threat to shut it down. Good luck.
Same here.
The CGC leadership team is extraordinary.
My concern is you always have people thinking they can do it better. Should that happen to existing CGC management, that's going to be a game changer and not a good one imo.
An eventual spin-off of the medical side would be fine and Bruce has mentioned that as a future possibility when he was on Midas.
STZ will run rec for the most part and they have the expertise to maximize market share in that segment imo.
Lol... Sit tight is good advise.
Midday spike perhaps? Thanks for the post!
Great posts.. thanks John!
Very likely. From day one my interest has been the medical and wellness side.
I have no doubt that Bruce and team will dominate that segment if their allowed to maintain control. If not I'll keep a small position but move on to the leaders targeting that market.
You can't argue the social value of rec. but it's not even close to whats going to happen in medical, socially and in terms of returns. JMO
Assuming Canopy gets 18% of a global market worth 200 billion (the lowest number from a legitimate source), that's 36 billion.
Bruce said global was worth 500 billion. Averaging the two gets around 350 billion, and if we only get 15% of that overall market we're looking at a very conservative market share of 52.5 billion.
Where's the problem?
We also have estimates of 250 mil. per Q starting with the first full quarter of rec. that's approx 1 billion first year gross income.
Assuming a flat or near zero growth factor we would be at about half of what STZ has for a ratio of market cap to gross income. If we estimate next years growth to be around 100% then we would be valued equally at the end of 12 months in terms of that ratio.
Again, where's the problem?
Thanks Stoner. Think we're starting to see companies beginning to struggle that got lifted by the rising tide of the constellation deal. That process will probably pick up speed.
We're also going to see some second tier names move up. Gross revenues will be the deciding factor imo.
Canopy is still the gold standard as it should be. GLTU!
Will keep a close eye on it thanks Stoner. What is importance of the 37? Is that the next support level.
Didn't know that.. The last one of mine that was deleted was a cheap shot that I was glad got trashed.
Agree we've see three major new highs followed buy a pull back. So the moves earlier this week from 57-59 were kind of a flashing neon sign. Did sell a little but should have sold way more. The chances of it moving up from that range were slim without major news.
I was expecting a bigger deal than Ebbu but.. their patent fits nicely with the plan.
Yup... this shit IS real now, and you got to protect the jewels. LMAO.
Love it.. that's got to get some attention.
Honestly, the US having a "free for all" of States taking the lead looks like a train wreck imo.
The companies moving to Canada will have a leg up over the companies operating only in the US when the laws change.
I hate Tilray but it will probably do well in time. The guy behind the ads is probably right when he says that Canadian companies will be well positioned to take advantage of the US opening up.
Just took a very small position in MedMen, Cronos owns a small piece of them also.
CGC will probably end up leading in the US so maybe owning US companies is a bit pointless idk.
There's a shared fascination that boarders on addiction in watching this thing unfold.
From Political processes to social struggles, investment strategies to developing markets, even the personalities leading something this disruptive become significant.
Good and bad this is a historical event, we know it and can't look away. Some here have made fortunes others will follow and some won't.
Several have years of their life along with their money invested here.
As you said its a well controlled, very informative group. (Thanks Db). There's new people that "get it" and before long it's like they've always been here. We also lose key contributors which sucks.
Problems with Provinces gearing up was expected.
LP's will likely get a bit of a break from analysts on income for the first full quarter of Rec. The second full quarter not so much.
Oral sprays were a great idea imo.
Good info. Thanks Wo.
I'm jealous at how well that's served you.
LMAO... so very true.
I kick myself for not doing it. But then remember that I suck at timing the moves.
There's a lot to be said for not having to endure a dip like the one between passage of AC45 and the Constellation deal.
He's providing good advice to MMPR.
Acreage is kinda late to the party.
Definitely some heavy hitters on their board.
That's great.
Thanks John. Expect our pull back will be short lived.
Great call on the pull back AC.
Thanks Wo... the link I posted with Bruce was from 45 min. ago
Can we access a live feed in the US? tia
If you trade within a regular IRA none of the US capital gains tax rules apply, but when you pull money out it's taxed as regular income.
A Roth IRA may be even better since the money is only taxed going in, assuming the normal capital gains rules are avoided it would be tax free coming out.
It's been a long time coming.
Thanks Bruce !!!!
Great info.. Thanks Darius.
Reassuring that we're seeing it correctly.
Well deserved. Congrats.
I like it..
Lol....
Yea Mon... We be chillin in de sun on "Caribbis"
Technicals will always run behind market events which is why shorts can't put a meaningful game together. You can cry fundamentals all day long but you'll still be in the shadow of a mammoth growth cycle.
Well done..
