We suspected he was Elmer Fudd over 2+ years ago. The collective intelligence of this board was proved correct.
The collective opinion also was that Randall was a liar, if not incompetent; Fowler was interested only in medical science; and, Reiza apparently does nothing. Not even sure if he practices medicine anymore.
All have proved absolutely correct. These guys are THE WORST "team" that could ever be imagined short of being actual con-artists.
It is a miracle that SPORT exists; it was only Fowler and Ximedica that made that happen.
It is mind-boggling that they aren't entertaining buy-out/major partnership offers. I am sure they have given the cold shoulder to quite a few that would have had SPORT approved and on the market, easily within their timeline.
Honestly, one decent article profiling SPORT and announcing it is on the block for partnering would do a lot more for the pps.
How about an announcement of where we are at in the quest for a CE mark.
Absolutely correct.
Randall says whatever he wants to say.
If he told us the truth we would understand what is going on and would not need to argue among ourselves, ad nauseum.
You can have all the documentation you want.
The people that did the designing (which is of course never really finished; "design freeze" is just a term for the regulatory world; you might as well say "latest model")will need to be involved in everything Titan does, until they would ever be a true engineering company. Which is not going to happen.
This is an excellent point, and has been overlooked.
The SPORT system being promoted only by the current "staff" at TITAN is like a shoe salesman trying to sell the Space Shuttle.
Without Ximedica at the reins, SPORT is a dead horse. Ximedica holds the ball here completely.
I doubt Titan "management" knows where SPORT's On button is located.
So please Titan, tell us what is going on with Ximedica. IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT YOU RUNNING BEHIND IN BEING ABLE TO PAY THE BILLS!!
So I guess the next big news will be that "development" is in progress again. That will HAVE to be a OR/IR sent out, assuming it happens.
I'm worried that Pops will just forget to tell us. He better watch out if he visits the cadaver study lab and decides he needs a nap. They might throw him on the slab by mistake.
Fowler probably preached that medical conferences were PR.
They are for a VERY SMALL SEGMENT of the investing population.
Titan NEEDS PRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It needed to be on a legitimate and visible exchange!!!!!!!
Management are f***ing idiots.
SPORT should have corporations begging to get in on it.
I'm embarrassed for whatever person or agency came up with that name. Look to see it change again within a month. Good name for a shampoo for sensitive hair.
It has been shown that more air-exposure time on opened surgical instruments correlates with post surgical infection. Any extra air blowing around in an OR is the same as increasing the instrument exposure. Fans are not a good idea.
Man, what a BAD name!
Try to say it fast a few times. Sounds like some type of shampoo with henna in it , or something like that.
Shouldn't THEY be telling us this if it is the case??!!
If they are not (granted that their PR/IR has always been shit) maybe it is because they have not yet.
Also agree.
As a Canadian company they probably have a better affinity with Europe anyway.
Thanks Flenderson; from the horses mouth is the best info of all.
I think Randall must be on Valium.
Now, can I believe they are just going to sit back and wait indeterminate months periods for things to happen in Podunkville, or wherever these clowns work?
Times a'wastin boys! Hargrove is old too. We are just going to wait until Ximedica puts on a happy face? Jeez, now there's a plan.
Which is why we need at least 2+ interested shoppers for Titan. Bidding war to become the next ISRG in surgical robotics. Major problem, the FDA can f*** you completely even if you've done all your homework.
And this is where you need a CEO and Management team with the charisma and energy to continue driving the cart full steam ahead even after the acquisition, at least until the product takes off and they can split with a huge payoff.
Our only go-to guy just jumped ship. And even he may not have been the one to do it. JH is not the guy; certainly not Randall or RR either.
OK, so warrants issued at 1$ have to be expected to be worth more than that, otherwise why issue them. Guess a fair expectation of return would be 5% minimum. So now we are between $1.05 and $3. I'd say we can get 1/3 of the difference if we are lucky. I'm gunning for $1.70 then.
I won't lose that much. I'll tell JH that's the price he should settle for, and soon.
My newest take:
Fowler fully expects or knows that Titan will is going on the block for sale.
He does not want to be beholden to any acquirer negotiations so he got out now. Likely any acquirer will be glad to rehire him ASAP.
Problems for us: Acquiring Titan is very complicated since Ximedica is so heavily involved as the technical shop; Vanderbilt and others own IP; Longtai has been made promises; other suppliers and manufacturers and educational facilities were probably made promises.
Any reasonable opinions out there on what Titan could sell for?
Let's face it, although unapproved as of yet, this robot is virtually ready to go. Titan's website finally reflects to quality and potential of this device.
Is it all worth a billion and a dice-roll for FDA approval?
I don't think the Chinese company has much to do with any of this. They were not going to be financing Titan enough for them to cross the finish line.
May be that Valvo is just going to assume being the chief surgical presence for Titan, which they need. They would need to fill Fowler's regulatory shoes with an experienced hire.
I think your take makes the most sense at the moment.
The puzzle to me now is why the pps did not drop like crazy, even if just panic selling based on the Fowler news.
But mediocre volume...??
I have to agree. This filing is obscure to the vast sea of relatively inexperienced investors (including myself). Practically speaking, how much of a pps rise could this incentivize? I think very little.
You hit all the points perfectly!
IT MAKES NO SENSE!
Still holding all my shares at $1.87, but have not bought any more anytime in the last year. The product thus far looks stellar as much as I can see. I suspect cold shoulders, arrogance, and LACK OF COMMUNICATION on the part of Titan management pissed off a lot of potential suitors. I think one mention of Titan "considering" "being up for sale" would blip the pps significantly for a short while at least. Then might be a time to get out. Otherwise, a fire sale is my greatest fear.
As I said over two years ago, the failure to breed even a smidgen of excitement (as would be reflected through an attractive pps and a standard market like NASDAQ) was the doom for Titan to not be the next ISRG in terms of an investment.
JH and RR were non-faces for the company. We needed a Steve Jobs.
Interesting take. I hope you are right.
Yea, no mention of money, and what the hell does month-by-month basis mean practically speaking.
I hope JH didn't spend the last week just coming up with this. This is nothing.
My opinion is that FDA and CE approval are likely for SPORT.
Why do you ask? If you know something, say it. Every one of us is in the same boat here.
Of course; I expect nothing less than complete disregard for the shareholder from this management team.
That's my fear too. SPORT and Titan IP should be of immediate interest to any company wanting to jump-start into surgical robotics. But JH and crew have done nothing to give our bran
That's why a bidding war sounds good to me, at least three players.
What scares me is that
They certainly should. If they don't then nothing has changed with their a$$wipe attitude for investors. If this is how they treat their potential partners, investors, and suitors then I can understand the problem they created here.
Probably the same attitude that had them hire losers like Bertner and Octagon. Do it all on the cheap with fellow incompetents is their motto. Really, do you think with all the great work Ximedica did for these guys they can be pissed off? enough, reluctant? enough, worried? enough that Titan can't execute or even be trusted to pay the bills eventually? That's not good, man. Titan management must be real boobs to work with.
ALF-X was developed, tested, and received CE mark without 9 units (as far as I can tell). They did all the testing surgeries at one or two hospitals.
Fowler (IMO) only cares about the technology in SPORT, and its integration into the future of surgery. The technology is basically "proven" even if Titan fails, and will be picked up and continued by others with his oversight, just as he has used Titan to get this far.
What the other three do is anyone's guess, especially RR.
That's the only thing keeping me going now; the machine works and looks good. Farther along than anything else out there. Someone should be interested in buying it out, continuing to work with Ximedica, etc..
I don't care if they are burning money, but they needed to be raising it too. They let the pps shrivel on the crappy OTC exchange; the product looks great but they have not been able to stoke investment excitement. Showing SPORT to doctors is not going to generate interest for big pockets who want in. Frankly, I think they are going to get bought out, becoming desperate. Fowler will go along with anything to get SPORT into the mainstream. By his own admission he doesn't care about producing profit for the shareholders of this "company". Randall and Hargrove are out of their league. What RR does is anyone's guess.
I hope they do get bought out, and soon. Sure hope I get my $2/share back.
I'd prefer $2/share. Then I can by an ice cream with the profits and forget TITXF.
Well anumber of us have been saying that for years. They are financially inept. Join the club. Apparently even Ximedica thinks they are clowns.
Apparently, nothing.
